Former Vegas resident of 24 years. Everytime I come back for a visit I ALWAYS hit up Ronalds, it is a must stop when in Vegas. Staff are super sweet, friendly and kind!

The best donuts! Not too sweet. Dough is perfect. Fast service and lady owner is so friendly and even gave an extra donut coz it's Mother's Day. Will be our donut place when in Vegas. Place is small and clean. Plenty of parking.

Ronald's donuts !! Over 1200 reviews for a small mom and pop donut shop I had to make my way here. As soon as I walked in. I knew they would be good. The color and size of the donuts were beautiful I always get a glaze. Cause to be a great donut shop you need to be able to make a great glazed donut. They nailed it. Great texture. And most importantly not oily at all Maple bar. Had the perfect amount of thickness to the maple. Texture of the dough was nice with a bit of chew. And not oily. I did come later in the day. I can't wait to come back super early in the morning when the doughnuts are a bit more fresh. Lady who helped me was extra nice also !!!

    Mixed deliciousness!

Finally, after many years and visits- I'm writing a review for Ronald's Donuts! This spot is a true Las Vegas gem! The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh donuts hits you in the face! Every item here is freshly made, by the owner operators. The donuts are huge, soft, and perfectly sweet without being over the top. Ronalds offers a ton of vegan options too! Super fluffy & flavorful and every bit as good as all the classic versions. Maple bars, jelly-filled, glazed and twists - there's something for everyone. *Fresh, delicious and generous in size. *Friendly old-school vibe. *Ronald's Donuts never disappoints!

Ronald's has some huge donuts, close to the strip. Lots of flavors, donuts have great flavors. Very fluffy.

Stopped by here to pickup donuts for a client visit.... The employee that was working was really nice and cool...grabbed about 2 dozen donuts and told him to choose what he wants for me....price is about what most standard donuts shops charge now per dozen....Great variety and really cool dude. The place isn't full of over priced expensive donuts which is great since I'm tired of seeing that at many of the newer donut shops.....

Very fresh, large and delicious donuts. The real gem is the apple burritos. Prices are very reasonable compared to other places. Service was fast & friendly. Cute donut shop in a strip mall. Also sells ice cream, with lots of vegan options. Glazed donut was huge, so fluffy and perfect. Easy to find & park. Great breakfast on my way out of Vegas.

Love coming here for Vegan doughnuts. So many delicious choices! They are so kind and nice.. I love it here.

Great tasting doughnuts with good texture when you bite into them. Service was quick and easy. Regular doughnuts shop ambiance.

Incredible service, and some of the best donuts I've ever had. They were out of maple bacon, but they had maple bars so they added bacon to them for me. Highly recommend the maple bacon, vegan and pork versions are both delicious. And you would NEVER know the vegan donuts were vegan. They have Boston cream that's vegan too, delicious. The "fancies" on the top shelf cost more than the ones below, so make sure you think of that when buying. Their top sellers are the apple fritters, so if you like those then this spot is for you. Hope the store is here for a long time to come!

The spinach twist were so crazy this time around the lady said her son made them a little too big. I can only eat a fourth of it and I was done . But like the cinnamon rolls. This place truly never disappoints. It's always good when craving it. It clearly hits the spot. I would recommend this place to anyone. The owners are always so friendly.

Serving Las Vegas since 1973, Henry and Janie Kang regularly on-site since taking over more than thirty years ago, Ronald's Donuts is something of a Las Vegas icon thanks to both its longevity and early adoption of Vegan practices in line with the Buddhist ownership. A small shop that has grown its offerings amidst growing competition, Bagels, Ice Cream and Boba now all part of the line-up, little has changed in Ronald's décor over the past twenty years aside from a willingness to accept credit cards and a few Maneki-neko that were not present before. Similar to many So.Cal. Donut shops, right down to pink boxes and Formica tables, Vegan options occupy the top two shelves and are assuredly free of Milk, Butter or Eggs while those beneath are made more traditionally. Heavier than Friendly or PinkBox, at least as relates to Yeasted Rings with commercial Glazes, Cake Donuts are small with a dry Crumb that isn't particularly enjoyable aside from the cogwheel Old Fashion that is better than most.

    Rebecca P.

Not bad but I feel the ratios of filling can be improved, maybe more filling and less dough matrix. I still like Krispy Kreme better. Service was quick and super super friendly. Kudos to him.

Ronald's Donuts Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Ronald's Donuts

    Are mask still required?

    Not required. Just optional.

Are they cash-only or do they take card now?

I called yesterday and they now accept debit and credit cards!!

What kind of flour is used in your vegan donut?

Are these "vegan" donuts that they CLAIM (which are the top two rows ) are they REALLY truly 100% Vegan?

Yes ! They been around for over 27 years.

Has Ronald's been sold? Are there new owners? Are vegan donuts still being made? I would love to see a sign for the donuts that are, if you still make vegan donuts?

The couple that've been running it for years has sold it several months ago. Rest assured they still make the vegan donuts and when you're there the new family running it can point them out.

Amazing donuts! But do they use white (non-vegan) sugar?

I asked and it is vegan sugar. It's called sprakles.

Do they often run out of Vegan donuts before the day ends?

Yes. You have to get there early. And remember only the top two shelves are usually vegan only. Make sure to ask first.

Are any of these gluten free?

No. Many vegan, but no gluten free

    Do they use Peanuts?

    They do, yes.

Anyone know what kind of oil they use to fry the donuts?

Don't know but they are the best donuts in town

    Does Ronald's ship internationally?

    Not to my knowledge.

What's usually the best time to get the donuts hot and fresh?

About an hour after they open or so, however they make their donuts for the day in the morning before they open so they're always guaranteed fresh!

Do they use any nut ingredients for their vegan donuts?

    Yes they do.

    Are this donuts gluten free?

    Unfortunately they are not

    Any gluten free donuts? ?

    I hope not

    Do they offer vegan donuts?

Yes, the top 2 rows of donuts are vegan.

    Open on xmas eve?

I believe they will be. They usually close at 2pm, so they may close earlier if there isn't much traffic.

    Do they have nutella doughnuts?

Probably not. It's more of a traditional donut shop....rather than funky gourmet donuts.

I had recently been eating a healthy vegan and gluten-free diet at a yoga retreat and noticed how much better I was feeling, so I was craving that same kind of nourishing experience today. The Modern Vegan seemed like the perfect choice. I was greeted by the friendly Nicole at the door, who ended up being my server--and she was delightful! She was patient with all my questions, attentive, and provided genuinely great service. (I think my lemon for the water may have gotten lost somewhere along the way, but Nicole, I forgive you. ) I ordered the Breakfast Skillet, and WOW--it was delicious! I would absolutely order it again. If I were making a couple of tiny tweaks next time, I might go with fresh avocado instead of guacamole if that's an option, and I'd probably get the cheese sauce on the side. But honestly, those are just personal preferences because the skillet was fantastic. The portion was generous enough that I ended up taking half home, which means I already have tomorrow's breakfast waiting for me. YAY! And can we talk about the ambiance? The inside is adorable! I loved all the flowers and plants, the beautiful lighting, chandeliers, and artwork on the walls. It has such a fun, welcoming, colorful energy that makes you want to linger. There was also a cute sign as you're entering the bathrooms that said, "Sorry daddy, I'm in Vegas," which definitely gave me a little laugh and added to the playful vibe of the place. I left feeling full, happy, and very pleased with my decision to revisit The Modern Vegan. This past Sunday was my father's 75th birthday. His wife and I are vegan, while the other 13 family members joining us were not. Accommodating a party of 15 in a smaller restaurant isn't easy, but after making a reservation two months in advance, Tarantino's handled everything flawlessly. Our server, Meddie, welcomed us like family. He took the time to explain the menu to first-time guests, carefully checked for food allergies, offered thoughtful recommendations, and provided attentive service all evening. Meddie, thank you for making a special celebration even more memorable. With such a large group, we were able to share a wide variety of dishes. The Papa Steve Bowtie Pasta was phenomenal, with the Pesto Penne and Oyster Scallops in white wine sauce with fettuccine close behind. The Eggplant Parmesan was perfectly cooked--firm and flavorful. The Spicy Cajun Chicken Pizza easily ranks among the top vegan pizzas I've ever had, and one of the non-vegans in our group agreed. If that's not a complement I don't know what is! Dessert was just as impressive. We shared the Lemon Blueberry, Oreo, and Dubai Chocolate Pistachio cheesecakes. While they were all delicious, the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Cheesecake was unforgettable--easily one of the best desserts I've ever had. I truly can't say enough about Tarantino's. The food is consistently outstanding, the portions are generous, and the service is among the best I've experienced anywhere. It's hands down my favorite vegan restaurant in Las Vegas, and that's saying a lot because Vegas has no shortage of incredible vegan dining. If you haven't been, you're missing out. They were very accommodating to our requests for substitutions and even recooked our French fries to make them softer. My son and I shared the Salami sandwich with fries and I also got the southern fried oyster mushrooms with a Housemade dragonfruit lemonade. My son despises any vegan cheese or vegan mayo and he tore this sandwich UP! He even added extra mayo on his half of the sandwich. The olive jalapeño tapenade was tasty and really pulled the sandwich together but it was slightly spicy so careful to those who are sensitive to spice. The southern seasoned oyster mushrooms were so flavorful. The batter was light and crispy, the mushrooms were sliced thick and not too thin. One of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was okay. I love vegan/vegetarian food, even though I'm not longer living that kind of dietary lifestyle! Crossroads has a lot of great options, from "steaks" to "calamari". OMG I have to give a BIG shout out to the calamari. It was so good that I had to order that dish twice in one sitting. It's made from mushrooms, which I already love, and they are seasoned SO WELL! I didn't even need to dip it in the marinara sauce it comes with to enjoy it. To be completely honest, the calamari here beats out A LOT of real calamaris I've had in my life, which is a lot. If calamari is on the menu at any spot, best believe it will be ordered by me. I got the "steak", which was a big piece of lovely lion mane's mushroom. Very nicely cooked. The sauce on top was on the saltier side, but I didn't mind it. I liked the stuffed zucchini blossoms too. All in all, I would go back just for the calamari even - can't get over how good it is. Our server was nice and helpful when explaining the menu. I did have questions about what veggies were substituting out what "meat" dishes. Mainly mushroom, which is great!

The hostess did say happy birthday when I walked in so it was on the notes but nothing was ever said by the server and we got dessert therefore they didn't even have to send anything but there is never a candle or a plate that says happy birthday or even a happy birthday from the server. I feel like this is one of the only fine dining restaurants that does nothing. Food/drinks- I got the 5 course meal. The meals weren't coursed the best. We sat for too long between each course. First course- ..... was so flavorful and delicious. I could've had five of them! I believe it was a cucumber and melon salad Second course- Pizza. Not great. And didn't have half with mushrooms like asked. Third course- Linguine scallops -flavorful and yummy. Would've liked some pepper but no one came by. Fourth course- eggplant filet. This. Was. DELICIOUS. I'm actually upset I couldn't eat it all hot and fresh. This was amazing and I'd definitely get it again. Dessert- Banana pudding. Probably the best dessert they have. This was also delicious!! The cream was wonderful and the breading in it. Great creation! Corn tart- Not at all what I expected. Flavor was not great. The shell was extremely hard. I couldn't even cut through it. I was super excited for this, but very disappointed. Wedge salad- Chicken Milanese- good but usually better. Not as crispy as it normally is and we've gotten this multiple times. Overall, one of my favorite dishes, but kind of lacking this time around. Drinks- one tasted like they used pickle juice instead of lime juice. It was awful. The next drink was delicious though. Service- The server was great!! Made recommendations , checked with the chef on something for me. The only complaint is he seemed overly busy with tables and didn't really check back. The manager Jaryd (don't know the spelling) stopped by and was also very kind! The runners were on top of clearing plates but no one ever brought fresh silverware back.

I felt so stupid for not realizing my mistake, and for not going to the other restaurant and wasting their food and making them wait for an order I could no longer pick up because it was now 9pm. I still feel bad about the mix up. I wound up getting a refund because both managers were so kind and beyond understanding, thank you to both Daikons, and I got my order to go from this location. I enjoyed the delicious California roll and it was such a treat on the drive from Vegas to LA. The orange chicken was sweet and a great texture to it. Tastes like what I remembered orange chicken tasted like as a kid. Every time I go to Vegas I get the vegan sushi here because it's exceptionally delicious. There's nothing even half as good in LA vegan sushi wise, I only wish they could open a Daikon in LA so I could eat it more often. Thank you to the staff and managers at this restaurant, exceptionally food and kind and courteous service. The restaurant itself is beautiful as well with a very cozy feel, perfect for dining in experience with loved ones.

The dining area is small but they have good seating for a table and by the wall. It's a casual atmosphere with good music playing. Menu offers a nice selection of sandwich that can be ordered as a combo or a la carte. I opted for a meal ($15.90) which include a choice of any sandwich, one deli side, a house drink, and sweet treat. I chose NoTuna salad, so good and delicious! It has tasty garbanzo beans, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, red onion, vegenaise and green spring mix served on a toasted ciabatta roll. The sandwich roll is slightly crunchy. I also got a potato salad ($9) as an a la carte, it's yummy! They have a NoTurkey Pasta salad as well and it's good! It has bowtie pasta, green peas, and crumbles of NoTurkey in a creamy sauce. Their housemade Rosemary Lemonade is refreshing! It pairs wonderfully with a delightful chocolate chip cookie, and the cookies are housemade and amazing! Service from Alecia is welcoming and friendly. The owner checked in to see how everything was and it's great! They have a loyalty card where you get a free sandwich after 10 stamps.

There is also a butcher case by the register where you can order the meats, cheeses, sides, and desserts made. I asked for a recommendation and was told the Pulled NoPork was a popular one so I gave it a try. There is an option to upgrade with a side, drink and dessert but I chose the sandwich for now. The sandwich was thick! Plenty of filling and the slaw on there was nice and refreshing. I barely finished the first half. The bread used is nice and fluffy with a light crunch. The pulled nopork itself was pretty good. I added honey Dijon mustard and it went well on this. Overall I enjoyed my first experience here. Love to see another good vegan sandwich spot that isn't generic.

Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The duck is a must-have dish. Great atmosphere and a fun spot to share a few dishes. The vibe was also great and lively, as it's located inside the Cosmopolitan hotel. Would definitely come back!

He offered us complementary bubbles to celebrate our anniversary and it wasn't bad. we ordered the shrimp buns, spicy chicken sando and the mushroom Ramen with pork belly Shrimp buns were wonderful the sauce and the pickled vegetables were perfect pairing with the crispy shrimp. It's not a whole shrimp it is chopped it up and formed into a patty and then deep-fried. it was a great. It has a consistency of the shrimp ball at a dim sum place. It was really yummy and the homemade red sauce that accompanied it was so perfect. You have to have it and I'm not a sauce person, but I dredged this with the sauce it was so good. The mushroom Ramen was so good so flavorful you gotta try especially if you love shrooms. unfortunately the chicken sando was just mid so we actually asked Dustin to take it away and we ordered the pork belly buns which were good but one bun came with like 90% fat and then the second bun came with like 90% meat so the portions were a bit off. I prefer the shrimp buns only because I preferred the sauce and the pickled veggies that came with it. The pork belly buns came with your traditional plum sauce and pickled cucumbers, so I would definitely order the shrimp buns over the pork, but that's just my preference. Would love to come back with a bigger party so we could try the family plates. If you need a taste of Asian I would definitely recommend this place. Until me meet again Momofuku
