The Reviews aren't great at this place but we were hungry and we had our two year old twins so we went in. We told the waitress we wanted to-go, she gave us a menu and said let us know what you'd like. Awesome right? So the place was maybe a 1/3 full at this time, there was no wait and maybe a couple people had popped in. We walked over to a table to sit our boys down to pick what we wanted, it would have been quick. The waitress comes back over before we even sit and tells us "due to limited seating we ask you wait outside" ummm ok, thanks but no thanks. I totally get it if this place would have been full or people waiting to be seated then yes of course we would totally wait outside. Be we have little kids and just want to order a meal to go. We thoroughly enjoyed their pizza tonight. We ordered a thin crust cheese pizza , sausage and mushroom pizza, and two garden salads. We enjoyed both pizzas. I personally liked the pizza sauce. The salads were great as well. They used Romaine instead of iceberg which was awesome. Also the ranch dressing was great! I would have given them 5 stars but the order was delivered so we haven't been to the establishment yet. Based on their food alone, we love it. read more

We are from Fresno, it's worth the trip to come to Cambria just for the pizza! My wife found JBJ's on a trip with her mom. All she talked about when she came home was the Pizza! There are always a wide selection of pizza parlors whenever my wife and I are on vacation. This past week, we were staying in the beautiful town of Cambria and we had the same decision to make about where to order a pizza. I looked at Yelp for the selection and noted that JBJ's Round Up Pizza & Grub caught my eye and I ordered the signature Round Up pizza. In full disclosure, I worked in the food service industry for 45 years prior to retiring...this includes a few years selling for one of the industry standard mozzarella cheese companies...all this to say, I believe that I am qualified to judge the quality of a pizza. When we got back to our rented house, I was amazed at the quality of the ingredients that JBJ used on the pizza...the mozzarella was creamy and stringy and plentiful, the pepperoni was a non-char brand and the slices were thick and spicy. The crust and the sauce was top notch as well! The reason that I am going into so much detail is that I want to make the next tourist decision easy when they are selecting a pizzeria when they are in Cambria! read more

Should have read other negative reviews. I wanted this place to be memorable but it was memorable for the wrong reasons. Pizza was too thick and taste didnt quite right (margerita). The buffalo wings were "costco" type where they were pre frozen and warmed in a microwave. Noodle soup was okay but nothing memorable. It wasn't a very visually pleasing pizza, and it tasted like the dough had been frozen. Reminded me of a thicker frozen totinos pizza from the box. It was almost like a pizza made on a dense biscuit. The cheesier parts were pretty good. I'm more of a New York style using good water and oil. I saw the pictures in advance, so I knew what to expect. Definitely average. Wow, I walked in at 1259. They opened right at 1:00 so I was the first customer that today. Ordered a bacon cheeseburger and a couple of cinnamon rolls. As a connoisseur of fine hamburgers I can be a little picky. This place hit it out of the park. It seriously was a very good burger. It was my first visit but will now be my Cambria go to spot for the best burger on the Central Coast! The place was clean and well kept. The girl that took my order was very polite. Today I had 3 steak tacos for $7 and a side of yummy homemade ranch dressing at the end to mellow out the homemade sauce they came with. I've been here a number of times before for cinnamon rolls, but had never eaten a meal here. Most of the people seated inside were enjoying pizzas. There's a patio behind the restaurant with tables and umbrellas. That's where I'm at today, as I'm traveling with my little schnauzer. The weather is beautiful and there's a nice breeze today. If it's colder, I notice they have plexiglass and tall bushes to block the wind. Today I'm trying the roast beef sandwich with fries. For soft drinks they offer coke products. My sandwich didn't take long to come out and it was delicious. A toasted sandwich roll with warm roast beef and lots of melted cheese. It comes with mayo and spicy mustard. Yum! I got a half order of fries and it was still a lot. They were very tasty with just the right amount of seasoning salt. The girl who served me was friendly and attentive. We visit Cambria a few times a year and on our first night we usually don't feel like going out to dinner. We almost always order JBJ's to be delivered to our room. We've never had a bad pizza from them. We usually get half combo and half margarita. Bring foil for your leftovers as most Cambria properties have a fridge and microwave. It's nice to have for lunch. They provide paper plates and napkins too. We haven't tried their burgers or sandwiches but I'm sure they are just as good as their pizza. Oh their fried zucchini is yummy too. read more

We stumbled upon this place on our way back from Big Sur and so glad we did! To start, I ordered the soup of the day, which was Chicken Tortilla (it was okay, I would rate the soup a 4). We then ordered a medium Herm's Thin Crust Pizza for two. The pizzas are baked in a brick oven and ours came topped with a blend of mozzarella and jack cheese, pepperoni, sausage, garlic, onion, jalapenos, & feta cheese. At first glance, the pizza looks just okay but once you take a bite out of it... it's heaven! We ate the whole thing and wish I had some to go. The owner/manager was very attentive. When my daughter was fishing ice out of her lemonade he brought her a napkin. When my other daughter knocked over her lemonade he was right there cleaning it up. After driving from Cambria to San Simeon and back to Cambria, searching for a place that was: 1. Reasonably priced; 2. Had at least decent looking food; 3. Were open, we finally sat down at JBJ's around 8:30 that night. Just from the name you can probably suspect that this restaurant is cowboy themed. A good portion of very hot deep fried medallions that was pretty good. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for dinner. The description read that it would be stacked high with pastrami and Swiss cheese. The pastrami was plentiful, not the most I've ever had on a sandwich but definitely not the least either. The Swiss cheese however was really STACKED, almost as thick as the pastrami itself.
