We've been coming here for a long time but this last visit may have been our last. The pizza dough now tastes like it comes from a frozen product, the sauce wasn't flavorful, very skimpy on the toppings even after we ordered extra cheese and we just were not happy with the food. One other note is that were didn't get friendly service at all. No warm greeting, no thank you and come back again comments or any attentive service with a smile. I was very pleasantly surprised by the visit we had to JBJs. It was all a bit unplanned. We were starving after a long tour and wander at Hearsts Castle and so we stopped in Cambria needing food and a bathroom. We quickly realized all the food places are local and small, mostly requesting bathrooms be used by customers only. The parking by JBJs was easy and pizza sounded great so in we went. The decor is majorly western themed which fits the building style pretty well. It's a bit tacky but at least it's a fun theme. The service was perfect. We got served in an efficient manner and the guy who helped us was polite. The bathroom was by key only, but it was super clean and had a nice air freshener smell! I loved that they had a Super Mario brothers classic arcade game. I wish I had time to play! We ordered a personal size garlic chicken pizza not expecting much.....boy were we wrong! It was amazing! From out of town, my group wanted pizza 1 night after going to Moonstone and Linn's. Tried the Margherita Puzza and was bowled over by garlic olive oil flavored pizza. Did not have a tomato sauce base and boy was that lip smacking good. The other pizzas were good: the vegetarian one and the multi-meats one but I would go back for the margherita. Found it on yelp and saw it while passing by here in Cambria. We ordered via phone and order was ready in 20 minutes. We chose to pick up our order which was only 5 minutes away from our hotel. It has a western design which was really cute. The staff were very nice and friendly. They also have a dog friendly patio. We ordered 2 medium pizzas, wings, mozarella sticks and a burger which was almost 90$ total. A little pricey but because of the limited options in the area i think that's pretty reasonable. We came into town for an overnight night stay. We called pretty close to closing, but we're still able to place an order. We had never tried your pizza. I was curious about the Mediterranean pizza and was told it was a favorite. But with two other boys they wanted their own. She suggested we do a half and half and we got pepperoni and sausage. Stopped in because my husband was craving pizza. We ordered a medium thin crust pizza with sausage, olives and mushrooms and two iced teas. The tea came first, it tasted like it was either old or like the container hadn't been cleaned prior to making a new batch. Now two of them are actually Italian restaurants that serve pizza, but this one is a Western-style pizzeria named after a renowned toxic herbicide that can kill backyard weeds at twenty paces. OK, it ain't that Roundup, thank the Lord. They mean like a rodeo roundup, I'm reckonin' since they have cowboy gear on the walls, even a deer head (see my photo). Hell, at least Trigger ain't up there. Me and Jamie W. seated ourselves at a table for two as families of buckaroos swarmed by us. We ordered ourselves a $16.95 Sausage and Olive Combination (see my photo), and boy howdy, it was good after a morning hiking them Hearst Castle hills. Free refills on Diet Cokes were sent from the angels as we was both parched. Service wasn't as fast as the kneebenders at Miss Kitty's, but hell, they were busy rounding up them city tourists. The "& Grub" part also means tacos and burritos, a small salad bar and lots of hot and cold sandwich choices. There are tables outside, but it was kinda nippy when we went. I gotta round up the horses now, but if you need a pizza fix in Cambria, this watering hole will do, pardner. My family has been coming to cambria for over 30 years and during that time we have been here at least a dozen times, probably more. i have only tried the pizzas, which i must say are fabulous. I have ordered my own custom pizza as well as the Mediterranean one, which is incredible. I love their crust and the toppings always taste very fresh. We have dined in a couple times, like once when there was a power outage in the town, but generally do take out. It is not the most pleasant atmosphere to dine in but really depends on your demographic. It is very casual and good for families with young children, which is the main demographic i see there. It is fairly small, maybe 6 tables and a few barstools. The staff generally seems to be quite friendly but i cant comment on the service as i havent dined in for several years. I will say the pizzas always take a long time to cook regardless of size(about 15-20min at least) so it is a good idea to call ahead if you know what you want. read more

The 4 stars are for the food and the sweet man who took my phone order. Gluten free pizza was delicious. Typically gluten free pizza can be undercooked, and I usually ask for well done to try to avoid this, but in this case I forgot and was pleasantly surprised at how crunchy it was. I ordered the pesto sauce which was on point - highly recommend. The man who took my order over the phone was patient & and answered all of my questions. Why not 5 stars? We paid to have chicken added to one of the pizzas and it wasn't there. Definitely not the fault of the man who took my order because he repeated it back to me correctly. When delivery arrived, the delivery guy wasn't wearing a mask. I get that some people aren't into this, but you're representing a business and it's a mandate in CA - you should be wearing a mask. When we asked the delivery driver about our paper plates and Parmesan cheese he said " You have to request that. " I said, " I did request both. " He looked at the receipt and saw that yes, in fact, I had asked for both. He begrudgingly said " I mean I could come back with them, but.... ". My husband said don't worry about it and gave him a nice tip (not sure I would have but he's nicer than I am). I would have given 5 stars had they 1) not forgotten to add chicken to my pizza and 2) had a masked delivery driver who has paper plates and Parmesan cheese on hand in his car. We thoroughly enjoyed their pizza tonight. We ordered a thin crust cheese pizza , sausage and mushroom pizza, and two garden salads. We enjoyed both pizzas. I personally liked the pizza sauce. The salads were great as well. They used Romaine instead of iceberg which was awesome. Also the ranch dressing was great!
