Once again, another fabulous meal!!!! The consistency is At this place. From the front door to the kitchen staff, everyone works together to make sure you have a great dining experience.

Katie was superb for taking care of us! We received it right away and the service was excellent from the time we sat down till the time we left. Our food was top notch. The loaded tater tots were excellent. I had the mixed Benny and my husband had the biscuits and gravy which the plate was clean when we got out from the table. The atmosphere here is wonderful and the staff are superstars! It's never a moment when they're not taking care of you. This was our first visit but most assuredly it will not be our last! Thank you, Ruby slipper for taking care of us for breakfast.

Visited this location on a Saturday around noon. We had a wait time of 25-30 minutes and ended up sitting at the bar (which is first come first serve). Our server was nice and was able to place our order relatively quickly. The mimosa flight was okay. We all agreed the two middle drinks were the best and could have done without the green and red! The smash burger lacked flavor and the fries were cold. Overall service was quick and we had a pleasant experience. If I were to return I would definitely try one of the brunch menu items to see if I enjoyed the brunch options more! Dogs are allowed on the patio and there is street parking available.

A must do when visiting! Servers are very nice. The food did take a very long time to get there and it wasn't very busy. You really don't need reservations despite the adds they push.

Ambiance and Service 5 of 5 Service was fast and the server was nice and helpful. This place gets really busy and I'd recommend getting there before you want to eat so you can get through the waitlist. I don't think they do reservations though. Trifecta Bennies Sampler 5 of 5 Eggs Conchon Benny Bayou Shrimp Benny Chicken St Charles Benny Each of these were delicious with the eggs Conchon being the best. The braised pork definitely did the heavy lifting. As for the other two, they were great in there own right. However, I'd say the bayou Shrimp needed a bit more seasoning to tet that Cajun flavor through. The hollandaise sauce was delicious on each of them and may be the reason for all the deliciousness. I'll have to visit again to verify. The coffee here was good, but nothing special. If the other food is as good as the Benny's were, I'll have to return for sure.

Ambiance - same about. It was quit loud with people talking., but the place was packed full. It's definitely better to come here during the week if you like a quieter environment. Mom did not enjoy the noise. Service - excellent. The waitress had it timed perfectly. Food - I started with their Bloody Mary. It was hot and spicy . Good but there was too much ice in the glass. The dressings to the drink were three green beans, a quarter slice of , a quarter slice of ‍ and a green olive . Not very impressive. Next was the appetizer of Pig-Candy Bacon Bites. That was good!!! Mom really enjoyed it. Next we had the Three Little Pigs Omelet. It contains bacon, ham and sausage with Swiss . Loved the omelet. Very filling. Mom could not eat all of hers. The biscuit was fresh made and enjoyable but their grits were not. I was not offered an alternative for them at ordering. Fresh fruit would have been better. A pretty good meal.

Absolutely delicious breakfast, a go to spot if you're visiting Pensacola! I've been here twice now and each time it's been fantastic. This time I ordered The Peacemaker which lets you get any two of their Benedict's if you can't decide. I went with the Eggs Blackstone and the Chicken St Charles. The chicken was excellent still warm and crunchy despite being covered with the pork Tasso cream sauce. The biscuit was so good too, I left feeling very satisfied! My partner got the Eggs Cochon Benedict and mom got the Eggs Blackstone Benny. We wished the tomato in the Blackstone had more flavor or seasoning, seemed like a boiled tomato so a little bit soggy. Perhaps if it was a roasted. All in all a great spot and I would come here anytime, all the time lol. So good!

Stopped in after my wife completed a physical therapy appointment up the street. Chris was our server and he did a superb job! We opened with adult beverages of a bacon bloody Mary and Bailey's & coffee. For our brunch, my wife ordered the cinnamon swirl pancakes, and I ordered the trifecta of eggs Benedict. The cinnamon swirl pancakes were an absolutely huge portion and delicious! I was thoroughly delighted by the trifecta of eggs Benedict! My favorite of the three was the fried chicken, followed by the braised pork. The fried green tomato and shrimp jambalaya was not bad. Looking forward to visiting again, sometime in the future.

It's so iconic for their love journey that they chose the restaurant again this time in Pensacola to celebrate their rehearsal dinner in their new home in Pensacola. The Ruby Slipper is a popular breakfast/brunch stop in every city it's located in. My first time visiting one was in New Orleans a few years back. I forgot what I ordered but, I knew I really enjoyed my meal. So, I was super excited to see Pensacola has Ruby Slipper and I would be able to dine there again. First off, hats off to the staff and community for rallying around one of their own while he battles Stage 4 cancer. The restaurant had fliers all over encouraging diners to donate to the employees fight and I just loved that. Donna was my server and she provided good service. She was even able to create the dish my husband has been talking about for years yet, didn't know the name ( Salmon Benedict). I ordered the Shrimp Omelette which was absolutely delicious. The biscuit kinda stole the show though. Lol read more

We checked in online and notified them once we arrived that we were there by that time the app showed we were number one. Unfortunately we would end up having to wait 2 hours at a number 1 spot onlinel. When our group addressed the hostess she acted very unprofessionally, made rude & sarcastic comments to several people in our group, when we tried to address it with the manager he could care less and didn't apologize for the service we received . They ended up having to split up our group because their tables don't move they are welded to the ground with metal. Which is fine but why would you have us wait 2 hours and tell us you're trying to wait for tables to free up to sit us together when you can't. read more

The Ruby Slipper in Pensacola is such a cute little breakfast and brunch spot. The highlight for me was the fried green tomatoes -- served with arugula -- and they were absolutely on point! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I don't recall exactly what my son ordered, but my nephew had what looked like a giant piece of chicken (though he didn't really eat much of it). Regardless, the portions were generous, the atmosphere was cozy, and it's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. I'm pretty sure they also serve mimosas, which just adds to the brunch vibe. If you're looking for a spot with Southern charm and tasty bites, Ruby Slipper is worth the stop. read more

This place was awesome, the food and service were top tier. My wife and I weren't expecting anything amazing but we were proven wrong. The French toast bites and pumpkin chai beignets for starters was the best decision we could have made. The "Trifecta" was amazing as well, I was able to try a bit of the best dishes that they offered with this dish! I wasn't able to snap any photos of the food because it was so good and we ate it up! Once we were seated, our server came and took our drink order and greeted us. She then told us about the specials they have and gave us some good recommendations. We started off with Jaco's guac and salsa. We were expecting them to be separate but it was really good being together. The homemade chips made it even more delicious. I wish there was more guac since was the star of the show! We then ordered the Blackened Mahi Reuben and Jaco's Blackened Fish Tacos. The Reuben was the best one I've ever had. The fish was cooked to perfection and the dressing on the sandwich was definitely homemade. The bread choice was on point because the sandwich never crumbled. The tacos were very flavorful and the pineapple sales a great compliment to the tacos. Both dishes were amazing and well portioned. We didn't have dessert because nothing on the dessert menu was to our liking but we will be back soon!!! Stop here for a relaxing experience in the area.

Brooke offered to swap them out when checking on us, but by that time, I was filling up from the large packed omelette. It was filled with pork, peppers, onions and cheese with more spicy, sweet pork on top. I wish the entrees came with toast. The shrimp and grits were served over gouda grits as requested and the dish was spicy and filling. Definitely one of the best we tried in a while. Drinks were refilled promptly and Brooke took care of her guests quickly and with a smile.

Ironically, there use to be a gay club in Pensacola called "Emerald City". The Steel Pony area at the side of the bar where you can order from Kyree. Order here and then find a place to seat inside or outside and Kyree will deliver your food. It is unclear whether to order drink with Kyree or go to the bar. This time around I went to the bar to get a coke, water, and a vodka soda. Since this location is new, I am confident they will figure it out whether or not Steel Pony Diner can order drinks at the bar where the experience can feel a bit more full service where I can order my food and drinks with one person with Kyree or order at the bar with the bar tender. FYI. Dorothy's is a non for profit bar to help fund raise for OASIS (a HIV prevention service and also serves people with HIV/AIDS). We were so excited when we heard about our favorite brunch place in New Orleans coming to Pensacola that we've been waiting excitedly for The Ruby Slipper Cafe's opening for months. Wow, we were not disappointed in any way. They've only been open for a few days and the place runs so smooth you'd think the whole staff came from New Orleans. My friend and I were served by a very knowledgable waiter who told us a few of the more popular dishes, and their origins on the menu. I ordered the Eggs Blackstone and my friend ordered the Banana's Foster Pain Perdu. We shared a few bites of eachother's food, as well as a bowl of their cheese grits (done exceptionally well). The Eggs Blackstone was absolutely fantastic, the eggs were poached perfectly, the tomato was fantastic with the Hollandaise sauce (which we were told was made in house). My friends Banana's Foster was beyond amazing, the flambeed bananas and raisins was sweet, but with a bit of rum flavor left inside. We'll definitely be coming back to try everything they have to offer. With exceptional food, a fantastic staff, and a beautiful location, we'll be bringing all our friends as well to show it off. read more

Had an amazing experience here on Sunday. Had brunch with the wife and 2 other couples. We're having problems deciding what to order, but our server, Michael made awesome recommendations. I had the Catfish Coubion (described by Michael as the 'best dish on the planet') and it did not disappoint. The Creole tomato courtbouillion was so flavorful and complemented the thin fried catfish perfectly. My wife had the Bananas Foster Pain Perdu, which she said was 'sinful'! Our friends had the Gulf Fish St. Peter (beautiful presentation), the cleverly named Miami Slice (their version of a Cuban with a pickled green tomato!), and the last couple chose the Southern Breakfast which is 2 eggs, grits, bacon and a huge buttermilk biscuit and a special unique touch with a fried green tomato slice. Everything was perfect, from the super friendly host, Jonathan, to our hilarious and efficient server, Michael, the ambience and music added the perfect touch. This is a must. We always avoided the Ruby Slipper Cafe for breakfast because the line was always long. After we finally went, we've kept going back. The line moves fairly quick. We enjoy that the breakfast variety is different from everyone else and everything we've ordered has been great. (Except the side of grits--they're cooked great but I don't care for whatever they add as seasoning. When it's a side, I swap it for the potatoes and those are great.) Our server , Hannah, is by far one of the best servers I've had to date! Though the restaurant was packed, she was friendly, fun and informative. One of the absolute best breakfasts/brunches in Pensacola. Start with the double mimosas, and then head towards a Peacemaker, which is two of their signature benedicts, my personal addiction being the Chicken St. Charles, and Eggs Cochon. This place was a "staple" of the area, but it's certainly not worth the time. The service was extremely slow, the food was cold and old, and the wait staff was incredibly rude. For example, they brought me the wrong order, and when I noted that this was not my order, the server responded with, "Well, the kitchen is backed up." Not worth the money, and definitely won't stay a staple for long with that kind of service, terrible food, and rude staff. read more

I got the choose 2 eggs Benedict and got the one with fried green and grilled tomatoes and the eggs Blackstone? I think it is called. It was so good! I looked at Yelp review and picked this restaurant for my breakfast place. Waited 30 minutes to get the table and another 30-40 minutes to get the food. I ordered smoked salmon omelette with biscuit and grits. I was not very impressed about the omelette I ordered. I couldn't even taste the smoked salmon. Biscuit was big and dry. Grits was pretty good. I am not sure I will be back to this place often. read more

I been here three times now and every time I have been beyond impressed. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is way above par. Justin was my server and I request him every time because he is so knowledgeable with the menu making the best recommendations and friendly too. Definitely make sure to check this place out when in downtown Pensacola. It is worth it. read more

The ruby slipper was excellent! My daughter in law heard about it in Mobile! We went there today, and it was so delicious! Our waitress, Sky, suggested some really great dishes! I had the stuffed French toast was and it was yummy! Sky was so friendly and sweet! Loved it and will definitely pass the word on this new favorite! read more

The food was excellent! I had the eggs Cochon and they were amazing with their pepper jack grits. The 19 hole was a great breakfast drink and my wife had the French toast batons and a mimosa. We ended up splitting my plate and saving the French toast for later! We will definitely come back when we are in town read more

I had the French toast bites and the sweet heat chicken it was beyond amazing !! Our food came out in a timely manner and our server Eric was top notch. He was extremely knowledgeable and he had us all laughing. We ordered everything Eric suggested and it did not disappoint. Me and my family will be back ! read more

Ruby Slipper is a great restaurant. The food was great, the service was great, the scenery is great. First time ever in Florida! Not only was the atmosphere amazing and welcoming but the staff was so friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! Family and i were here on Spring break vacation and stopped by and loved the food. I had the chicken st charles and it was cooked to perfection and juicy. Biscuits were good just not a big biscuit guy but i ate it all. Drinks were good and a little pricey but were on vacation so we expected it. read more

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant , but important thing for us was gluten free foods. We suggested our close friends thats gluten free to ruby slipper, but ended up they have non GF . So disappointed . The portion of the good is big , but taste wise wasn't as good as we expect. read more

Wow. Visiting for the weekend, we found this place because its super dog friendly. Food was above expectations my wife and I split the eggs Benedict and praline pancakes and got enough food to take home breakfast tomorrow. Drinks were dangerously good. Our server, Chris, was A+. read more
