My wife brought me here for my birthday for the first time. It was a great surprise. The food was amazing but Mario really made the night with his fantastic energy and knowledge on everything we had asked. The food would have brought us back again but the service 100% will. Great experience , thanks Mario!!

Outstanding!!!, we were in the area and decided to stop in to catch their Happy Hour ( 4-6 ). But with only 15 minutes left we decided to order off the dinner menu. Neither of us was starving but we did want a good meal. Our server "Matt" recommended the NY strip for me and my side was a huge baked potato. Honestly this was the best steak steak I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, tender and savory. My wife order Ruth's chop salad and she had a couple slices of my steak. It was a very well portion salad but she stated it was so good that she wanted to finish it. She also thought the steak was very tasty. I actually ordered a caramel Apple-tini and it was delicious and this comes from a usually non drinker. Let me add that the CUSTOMER SERVICE from Matt, Serena and Guillermo, was beyond amazing and I'll only seek out them on my next visit. I'm sure the rest of the staff is as professional but the three I named felt like lifelong friends. The valet staff was also accommodating. This location deserves a 10 star review.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Tampa has an upscale, romantic atmosphere and excellent service, making it a good choice for special occasions or business dinners! The primary claim to fame for Ruth's Chris is its method for preparing and serving its steaks! Steaks are broiled at 1,800° and brought to the table on ceramic plates heated to 500°, finished with butter and freshly chopped parsley, which keeps the steak hot and sizzling throughout the meal. The restaurant serves only the finest USDA Prime beef available, which is custom-aged and highly marbled for exceptional flavor and tenderness. The restaurant's decor prominently features rich dark woods, which contribute to a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lighting is dim and there are booths available for comfy seating. Shrimp cocktail appetizer 8/10 Surf & Turf Steak & Lobster 9/10 Steak topped w shrimp 8/10 Salmon topped w shrimp 8/10 The staff was professional and attentive, adding to the overall special-occasion feel of the dining experience. If you're craving an upscale spot for a steak and near Westshore area of Tampa, definitely try Ruth's Chris Steak House!

Always one of our favorites for a special occasion. Visited today for Mother's Day. Service was excellent and all of our dishes were delicious. We tried the Mac and cheese today minus the lobster the kids loved it and the portion was huge. I love that they have a great kids menu for the kids. And as always get the cheese cake it is amazing!

We had a fantastic experience at Ruth's Chris. Started with the shrimp cocktail and a well-crafted mocktail for Dry January. I ordered the lamb chops cooked medium with garlic mashed potatoes -- absolutely perfect. My wife had the scallops with risotto, which were cooked beautifully. Even better, our kids shared a kids' meal that was prepared perfectly for them, which we really appreciated. Dessert was the molten chocolate lava cake, and it was rich enough to comfortably share between four people. Huge shoutout to our server, Sean, who provided outstanding service from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special. We'll definitely be back.

Went for a company dinner and wow the food was phenomenal. We got seafood towers, and I got a ribeye with .... Every side. Impeccable flavor in the steak and buttery delicious. The servers were fantastic but the reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we waited over an hour and a half for our dinner. By the time we got our steak it was after 10pm!!

I went to Ruth Chris for an event and had their shrimp and steak with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The shrimp was a little bland, but the steak was pretty good along with the sides. Service was excellent and it was very clean inside. I will go back again at some point.

I visited this Ruth Chris for my birthday dinner. I ve been to many Ruth Chris locations this food was similar which I like. It was good my steak was cooked perfectly. The sung happy birthday to me and even decorated my table. We did make reservations a couple of days ahead so they could accommodate us. I heard the location gets busy so I didn't want to chance not getting a table. Our cocktails were strong but still tasted good.

First time here and I will be back. I sat in the bar area and was greeted promptly. I ordered stuffed chicken, Mac n cheese and sweet potato casserole. The mac n cheese was creamy and delicious. The sweet potato casserole was so good, but SWEET. I enjoyed it, but if you don't like it really sweet, then order another side. The stuffed chicken was good but next time I will order a steak.

DAD AND ELDEST KID BIRTHDAY FANCY NIGHT OUT ADVENTURE!!! Just to headline this. While we were at this dinner we discussed it. We have now started putting aside 20$ a month each and picking an upscale place to try once we have enough funding to support the place we have chosen to go. We do our research, menu research that is, lol. Look for those additional reviews every 3-6 months!!! For this Birthday Adventure it was my Eldest Kids treat!!! They took me out and paid the bill for my BIRTHDAY!!! So proud they could do this for me!!! Because it was my BIRTHDAY we chose a place I have been wanting to go for a very long time. We chose Ruth's Chris Steak House!!! We knew what we were getting and how much it would cost with an upscale tip of course!!! This is what actually sparked our FUFA = Fund Upscale Food Adventures idea mentioned at the start of this review!!! The Service:, There were 3 waiters that served us a drink waiter, a head waiter and an assistant waiter. The drink waiter was very nice and professional she was a delight and answered all our questions and kept our drinks filled. They even leave the bottle of water at the table on ice, but return and remove the water to refill your glasses if you do not or before you were going to. She was on point!!! The Head waiter only stopped at our table twice and was very short. He was honestly concerned with an 8 top rather than our 2 top. The assistant waiter is who shined for us. He was very attentive, very professional. Brought birthday confetti for our table and spread it around the table for decoration. Nice touch!!! I guess that's what he's there for l. To pick up any slack. Well he did expertly!!! All in all the service was impeccable!!! The decor was what you would hope for at an upscale establishment. It was eye appealing!!! Other than a little loudness from the bar patrons. It was an enjoyable experience. We were in a side room, but the doors were facing the bar so the sound carried in. It made it a little challenging to have a nice conversation while we ate. The wall paper was so nice and had a flow that made us happy!!! For the meal!!! We started with some Pellegrino water and they also brought us a very nice bread and butter. The bread was very yummy and soft. We started with 2 apps. The Lobster Bisque and the Fried Calamari. Both apps were very very good!!! We would definitely order them again. We ordered the Porterhouse for 2 as our main dish. We requested medium temp and when it came out it was a nice big cut of meat. They even cut it into pieces at the table for you on a cutting board. Then they place 500 degree plates in front of you so you can keep your steak warm as you eat. The waiter starts by asking you what side you would like and cuts a slice off to show you how to move the steak to warm it/cook it more. Then you take over. They will even bring you a second plate if you request one as I did. The 4 star, instead of 5 is because the steak was definitely Medium Rare. I cooked steak many times in my 15 years working in a kitchen. I know steak temps. This was way too on the rare side for a requested medium. Hence the reason for the second hot plate and the 4 !!! The filet side was cooked a bit better than the strip side. We were able to cook both sides up a bit more before eating it with the hot plate. My daughter only had some of the filet side and I ate most of the strip. I also finished what she couldn't cook enough for her to eat from the filet side. Great for me, but wish she could've had more. The steak was still very flavorful and we enjoyed it so much!!! The closer!!! For our closer we chose the Crème Brûlée!!! It was such a wonderful end to our meal. Next time we get two!!! AS ALWAYS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!

    3 course menu

3 courses for $55, need I say more! The experience and food overall was worth this price. When you walk in it's a dimly lighted and elegant, the dining room was spacious and well maintained. As an appetizer I started with the Caesar salad- this was one of the next Caesar salads I have had in awhile, particularly because of the in house dressing they toss the salad in (10/10). For an entree I got the 6 oz petit filet with shrimp cooked medium- unfortunately my steak did come out overcooked and my friend's came out undercooked. We believe our plates may have gotten mixed up and I ended up taking her steak, not the most appropriate or ideal situation but I didn't minds the shrimp was delicious and the steak was seasoned well (8/10). Our server was very attentive about the matter and we appreciated him switch out my friends steak. For dessert it was a cheesecake with fresh berries, it was ok I felt the crust of the cheesecake could have been better and kept at a colder temperature, the fresh berries and raspberry sauce was delicious (6/10). For drinks: I had the lemon drop martini (8/10) and a French 75 (9/10). Overall solid experience and worth trying the 3 course special.

Ask the Community - Ruth's Chris Steak House

Have they installed plexiglass for indoor dining?

No, they are staggering the tables and keeping distance between them.

    Is it on the water?

No. It is in a business district, between two major malls and across from a gentlemans club. It might have a fountain in front, though. ;)

Disappointed about it no longer being 50% but just wish it was advertised more clear on social media/at the restaurant/online. Anyways, the restaurant is very cute and I like the shaded outdoor area. We ordered some wine, beer, and pizzas. My fiancé enjoyed the beers and my wine was not very good but the cheapest glass so I wasn't expecting much. We ordered Price's House and the fig & prosciutto pizza - both were $19 which is not crazy expensive but Price's House imo is overpriced. The crusts are thin and crispy on these pizzas if that's your style. Price's house was pretty average, salty from the salami, not enough mozzarella (some pieces didn't have any), not much flavor to it. The pizza is not bad by any means but nothing special and overpriced imo. Could get better pizza elsewhere for that price. The Fig & Prosciutto was OUTSTANDING. So much flavor, sweet and salty, fresh from the arugula, all-around 10/10. Would recommend this one to anyone debating which pizza I would have rated this place a 3/5 but that fig & prosciutto pizza really carried it home and made it seem like they have pretty good food and I just ordered the wrong thing. I would def be willing to try this again!

Not because of the bill, but the lack of accountability and poor hospitality. We won't be back.

What a lovely surprise! It's kind of hidden on Bay Street. It's behind the Restoration Hardware Gallery. You'll see the outdoor patio area on the left as you're exiting the food court. In fact, that appears to be the main entrance (or it was that day). There's another entrance next to the Shake Shack as well. The interior is very reminiscent of bistros in various parts of Europe. It's somewhat dark & moody with warm wood furnishings. The wine/coffee bar is the focal point. The seating is comfortable & diverse. There are also large tables set up for groups of people. It's definitely a great meeting place after a day of shopping. It's also great for couples on a date. I was the first one there that afternoon, and had my pick of tables. They have such a great wine list. I already knew what I wanted thanks to the great descriptions on the menu. The white wine flight is a pick of any 3 from the menu. I had a generous pour of a few French Sauvignon Blanc wines and a Blanc de Franc. It was my first time trying the latter white Cabernet Sauvignon. What a treat! I loved all 3, but my absolute favorite was the one from Domaine Doudeau-Léger. The service here was wonderful. Nina gave me some great suggestions when I asked about the toasts. I ended up choosing the Wild Truffled Mushroom one. It was delicious! The mushrooms were the star of the show. The subtle hint of truffle really brought out the natural flavors. I totally recommend this one. If you're a mushroom lover, there's a mushroom & pea soup that was also recommended. I couldn't leave without dessert. I think my only disappointment was that they didn't have the croissants ready. The Crème Brûlée one is popular as well as the Basque Burned Cheesecake. It would have taken an additional 30 minutes. I ended up getting the Pistachio Ricotta Cake. It turned out to be a good decision because the croissant would have been too filling for me. This cake was perfectly light and paired very well with the cappuccino. They serve Kimbo Italian espresso for all you coffee lovers out there. Even the small detail of having a delicious Italian biscotti cookie bite in the spoon was the perfect ending for me. I'm looking forward to more visits. Hopefully, I'll get to try that croissant dessert that everyone raves about. They serve brunch on the weekends. That's what I want to try the next time I'm at International Plaza.
