Finally made it here for the first time, on a Friday, 11:30am. Plenty of parking. Greeted immediately and shown to a table. Only 3 other couples at tables when we arrived. Last time in this location, it was Bangkok Thailand Buffet. Saffron has really improved on the facility. Nicely laid out, very clean. Cloth napkins and silverware on the appetizer plates. Rebekah, our waitress took our drink orders (unsweet iced tea $2 apiece). We were each given a menu (2-sided menu and easily sanitized). We asked about the $10 special which was a chicken kabob, with basmati rice and roasted vegetables, nicely seasoned. Since the special did not come with tabouli, we ordered the tabouli app for $7. It was excellent! Rebekah kept our teas full and was extremely pleasant and efficient, pre-bussing our table as we emptied a plate. Our meals were beautiful and they also provided homemade pita bread which was excellent. Several other customers, obviously regulars, came in to dine-in and carry out. It's a very efficient set-up. There's even a little bar with a TV around the corner. We finished off the meal by sharing a Baklava ($3) which was very tasty. The food portion size was perfect. All staff and customers were wearing masks. Tables were socially distanced. Saffron has luncheon specials Mon-Fri, 11am to 3pm. The meal was $34 ($36.90 after taxes). Delicious Mediterranean food. I love the smoky flavor of the baba ganoush. The falafel is amazingly delicious. And the service is at I level that I have not experienced in a long, long time. Baker, our server, didn't have a problem with our vegan, gluten free substitutions and even offered sliced carrots and cucumbers for me instead of pita. Pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for a late lunch today at Saffron Mediterranean Restaurant off Harvard. Decor simplistic but comfortable. We've been using Saffron lately by ordering take out through the Yelp app. Saffron has a great menu to chose from and everything is well prepared and tasty. We particularly enjoy a good gyro and Saffron does a great job. You can chose from a variety of sides including fries, soup, and salad. The order is always ready on time for pick up and payment including any tip is completed through Yelp/GrubHub. read more

Solid spot for persian food - the Koobideh kabab was great, the kashke bademjoon was decent too. Not sure how it compares to the other middle eastern food in Tulsa but overall it's a good spot with good service too. read more

My wife and I usually love Saffron but our visit last night was disappointing. They have changed their French Fries to standard ole fries you can get out of a grocery store. They were very average. My Gyro come out Luke warm and didn't have much flavor. Finally the cost for 2 Gyros with Fries, hummus appetizer and 2 ice teas was $42.00. What?? Much too expensive for an average meal. read more

My granddaughter and I ate at Saffron Mediterranean Cuisine yesterday after my son had recommended it. I am so glad we went! We ordered hummus and the best, freshest pita bread I have ever had. I originally ordered the special, stuffed peppers, but they were out, and Mary, our server, suggested the chicken kabob with saffron salad and basmati rice. My granddaughter had the same thing. It was excellent! They have Persian tea, pomegranate juice, wine, and beer in addition to the usual beverages. No liquor, yet. Highly recommended. read more

Food was mediocre at best. All 3 of us thought the food was sub par and not that great. We were expecting much more. What upset me the most though is the waiter judging me as I ordered a bottle of wine. I wasn't driving or anything so I would think they'd be happy to have bottle sales.
