This place is a 10 out of 10! If I lived in New York, I'd be at Flatiron every morning at 7 AM when they open, grabbing myself a pastry. I tried the egg, cheese, and meat croissant--it was absolutely divine. I also had the mushroom-shaped pastry and the black pastry with bubbles on it, called Cloud Nine. Cloud Nine had a rich chocolate mousse filling, and it was just as delicious as it looked. The mushroom pastry had a fresh strawberry purée inside, along with other flavors, and the strawberry tasted incredibly fresh. Even the "dirt" on the side of the mushroom was edible--it was actually a cookie! Taking a bite of both the cookie and the mushroom pastry together was an amazing experience. It's rare to find food that looks as stunning as it tastes. Often, beautifully crafted pastries fall short in flavor, but this place was a pleasant surprise--it tasted just as good as it looked! That made me feel even better about indulging in such a work of art. I spent about $10-$12 per pastry and also got a drink, the Coconut Dream (or something similar). It was a beautiful blue drink that tasted just as good as it looked, with toasted coconut flakes on top for the perfect crunchy texture. This is a small café, and they make a limited number of pastries each day, typically selling out by 1 PM--so don't wait too long to visit! The service is quick, but keep in mind there's no restroom and limited seating inside. It's a must-try! read more

If you don't like overly sweet desserts, this is the perfect spot. The sesame latte was surprisingly good, and the yuzu dessert was wonderfully flavorful with great depth. The packaging looks very high-end, adding to the overall experience. We would definitely come back for another dessert! read more

I've always wanted to come here but the line was always so long whenever I walked by on the weekends. I walked in on a monday evening and there was almost no line so I decided to get the pumpkin and banana pastries. The employee was friendly and both the pastries tasted so delicious ! I liked the banana one a bit more but they were both tasty and not too sweet. I would definitely come back to try some more of their desserts ! read more

3.5/4: line to the quick shop bakery with kind service. Tried the pistachio cube and it was cakey and fluffy with oozing pistachio and surprisingly not too sweet, the crust was cooked well. The desserts here not only look aesthetically pleasing, but they are quite yummy too! I had the chocolate banana mousse and the sweetness was perfectly balanced. I felt too full to try other things, but I did notice the ample variety to cater to different taste, like sweet and savory pastries and croissants, cheesecakes, and more. The staff was also very friendly. There is seating inside, which is quite nice. Only downside is that they do not have a restroom. read more

I saw it on TikTok and had to go. I only got the Yuzu at the recommendation of the worker. I went on a weekday afternoon, however, the inside was packed so although they had a ton of seating, there was no where to sit. Luckily, there was a small park thing nearby where I could sit with tables. The yuzu was beautiful just like online. If you're allergic to nuts, I wouldn't recommend because of the almond crust. Besides that, the dessert was creamy but light. Nice yuzu flavor which paired well with the almond. I would say it is very interesting, I've never had anything like it before. Delicious and unique yet not too sweet. The taste is definitely a high 7/10 read more

My friend and I came here around 6pm on a Monday, and we were able to snag a table just as someone was leaving. We ordered the Yuzu and Cloud desserts (service was fairly quick). The Yuzu tasted light, citrusy, sweet, and bright! I loved that there were several different flavors and textures in the one dessert (not to mention, it looked so pretty!). I enjoyed the Cloud equally. The mousse was so fluffy and chocolate-y, and the hazelnut filling tasted like a Ferrero Rocher. I would come again to try the other cute desserts and cakes! read more

Salswee is a must for some sweet treats if you're in the area. They have the most delicious looking pastries! Their pastries look like real fruit. I tried a few different pastries, but my favorite was the orange and mushroom. I love strawberries, and if you do too, the mushroom is a must try. They list what's in each pastry so you can easily see if it's something you can have. The line is always long but don't let that discourage you because it moves quickly. Also, arrive early because they tend to sell out fast! read more

Super cute and aesthetic cafe with lots of treats and pastry options. Love how there's Asian inspired flavors such as yuzu, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful when we were choosing which ones to get. There's a good amount of tables inside to sit at and the location is right by flatiron. Came with friends in the morning to try several if their cakes, pastries, and drinks. The star was the pear and the truffle cream cheese pastry. Everything else was good though. Drinks are okay, I got the jasmine latte but the flavor is a little more subtle than I would have liked. There are tables inside and it can be hard to get a seat during busy times. Made my way to check out the desserts and baked goods at Salswee! I liked their savory snacks more than their sweets. The black truffle pastry featured a savory layer of cream cheese with a touch of truffle flavors. Pastry was super flaky after I reheated it! I had originally asked for the mushroom pastry but it got lost in translation so I ended up trying the mushroom dessert. I'm not a strawberry fan so it didn't speak to me but I did like the top mousse/cake portion. The matcha croissant featured a slab of matcha cream that was tasty and also was like butter in texture so it kinda melted into your crossiant. The crossiant itself had a strong buttery taste but sadly wasn't flaky and kinda doughy. The oat sesame cake had a tasty sesame cream and crispy almond brittle-like cookies. The chewy whole oats gave the spongy cake and creamy layers a nice textual contrast. Overall the savory pastries spoke to me more than their sweet desserts, but I am interested in trying other things + their cool drinks next time (such as the blue coconut and tiramisu latte)! There was a line, but it moved quick. They do sell out of things so come early! The store itself had a few tables/seating. Staff were nice for the most part. read more

We arrived around 1:30 on a Saturday. There was a pretty short line, maybe about 5 people so ideal time, though all the tables were full. The shop is very cute, with a mix of cute and aesthetic pastries, realistic looking cakes, and drinks. I was really hoping to try the mango, but it looked like they were out by the time we arrived. This spot has all the visual charm you'd expect from a trendy NYC bakery -gorgeous presentation and picture-perfect pastries but unfortunately, the flavor doesn't quite match the aesthetics. The plain and truffle croissants were underwhelming, lacking the buttery flakiness you'd hope for. While the desserts are undeniably pretty, they fall short of being memorable. Most of the desserts I tried had some sort of jam or artificial fruit filling inside, which I personally wasn't a fan of as it felt a bit repetitive and overly sweet. While everything looks beautiful, the overall experience was more style than substance. This place became viral on instagram due to their hyper-realistic fruit desserts. That was the reason I put it on the list of the dessert spots to check out during the trip to NY. It's a small but cute place next to Flatiron Building. Their desserts look amazing! I honestly wanted to try absolutely everything! I got cheesecake which was phenomenal, the dessert in the shape of banana - which was gluten free and very delicious with the perfect amount of sweetness. The place is packed! Even out the door lines but has a nice showcase of desserts inside. The food was good little expensive for the size dessert you are getting. The mango is probably as small as my 3 fingers and the banana was the size of 2 fingers. The service is ok it was at least a little fast when getting my order. Overall this place is a good for having it one time. It's just a big tourist trap. read more

10/10 experience it was really good. We waited for about 5 to 10 minutes, which wasn't bad. We were able to look at our options before getting up to the register. My sister tried the chocolate croissant, the mango ice cream pastry, and I tried the strawberry croissant which had blueberries and strawberries on the top and a strawberry mousse on the inside. It was amazing 10 out of 10 I would definitely go back. It's worth the wait! read more

Totally lived up to the hype! This place was packed, line was almost out the door when I got there and the tables inside were full of people! So thankful to have snagged the last Mango, and brought home a Banana and Coconut to try as well. Everything looked so colorful and tasty so I want to go back another time and try more of their offerings. Even though the line was long the people working behind the counter were fantastic at making sure the line moved fast and everyone was getting what they wanted in a timely manner. Presentation and flavor both get a 10/10 for me and the prices weren't too high considering the quality of the desserts and that they were a sharable size. If you want to treat yourself, this is definitely the place to do so. read more

Beautiful shop with helpful staff and delicious dessert. Would come here for the appeal and trying their flavor/texture combinations, but not a place for common everyday dessert visits. Photo worthy! If you want to go - go in the morning or mid-morning! There's so many options. Unless you're looking for a specific taste... The orange was so fun to eat; the layers inside plus the crunch of the bottom half was delicious! Another two that was fun to eat was the mushroom and the flower yuzu one. I would eat these 3 again! The banana and mango has a more straight forward taste - I wouldn't revisit those unless I'm looking for simpler taste. If you're looking for aesthetic, you can't go wrong with any of them! Came here in mid-summer 2025, mid-morning - the seats were all taken up. There's gaps where the line would shorten to 3-4 people and the closer it got to lunch the more consistent the lines got to the door. I don't recommend this space for larger size groups of 7+. Don't expect to sit together unless you camp for seats. The seats are typically situated around a pair or 2 pairs. Also, each of these are packaged individually which makes it less likely to collide against each other and more fun to eat one by one. These do melt/deteriorate fast so I recommend getting them into cooler packaging ASAP. Bathroom: No Atmosphere: 6-7/10 loudness. Those with softer voices may need to speak up a bit. Service: 5/5; helpful staff and quick to serve Wheel-chair friendly: Not really. The door is big enough but need help having the door open. There isn't a lot of space to move up and down to the aisle to get the food and have a good amount of space. read more

It was deeply surprising that they don't sell the butter cookies that had jam in the middle and dipped with chocolate on one side with sprinkles. I did ask the clerk and even showed him a pic of what I was looking for and he said they never sold them. They only had the linzer cookies and they didn't look so good. They also did not have the lobster tail. They did have the sfogliatelle which they also called a lobster tail. I thought they were not the same? Some bakeries sell both and they are definitely not the same. I did end up buying one of their sfogliatelle with cream and some rugelachs. The sfogliatelle was good but the rugelachs tasted slightly underbaked. It did taste fresh though unlike many I've had in other bakeries. However, for $28 per pound, I wouldn't get it again. For those not having lobster tail and not having the Italian cookies, I will have to give Veniero's a low rating. I never thought an Italian bakery would not carry staples. Very disappointed. I need to find another Italian bakery now.

While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

This place is one of my favorite cake / bakery shop in Flatiron. SALSWEE is a French Korean bakery and they have so many varied of pastries and cakes. For pastries, they have both savory and sweet ones, and my favorite is their mushroom truffle pastry. It's like a pie crust and has mushroom truffle cream inside which tastes amazing! For cakes, I love their Mont Blanc cake. They don't have this as personal size but the whole cake is not so big. I had it as my birthday cake and shared with my family. Their Mont Blanc is very rich. Since I'm a chestnuts lover, I loved how I could taste the rich chestnuts flavor and had chestnuts pieces inside. They also have black sesame cake which I want to try next time, and they also have so many cute cakes. The prices are around $6-9 for pastries and $15-20 for cakes. It's little pricy but worth it! We tried three different cakes - the cheesecake, black sesame cake, and mont blanc (chestnut filling). The mont blanc and cheesecake were delicious; I would highly recommend them. The black sesame cake had oatmeal in the filling, and the combination seemed a bit off. I wouldn't get that cake again. I am excited to return to this bakery to try their other desserts and pastries! Service: Staff are friendly and welcoming. Ambiance: The bakery has a lot of little tables for seating, and the tables are always filled. Seating is comfortable, but the tables and chairs are very close together. The bakery is kept clean and just a nice place to enjoy your baked goods.
