This is truly is a public health concern and I am now escalating my complaint to the health department. On September 19th I ordered 2 blackened fish stuffed with crabmeat; a burger, and chicken strips for my child for takeout. We waited approximately 45 minutes for our meal to be handed to us only to discover the following after leaving the restaurant: 1. A metal razor blade like object was found underneath my husbands fish {see photo}. I was asked by the manager to return the food and did so. Upon inspection he said the object did not resemble anything he was familiar with....Okay sir! But that he would escalate the report to the corporate office and someone would get back to me. They did and I spoke with someone by the name of Toni in HR who I forwarded this same photos to via email and provided a description of the issue. I have yet to hear back from her. Mind you my husband and I order this same meal from Saltgrass at least once per month from the Willowbrook location and we have never had an issue until now. As a loyal customer I would have expected a much more proficient resolution. 2. I was charged for the burger of which we did not receive. The manager had yet to make good on reimbursement for this either . When speaking with Toni she asked me if I was expecting my entire bill of $100 to be reimbursed in a tone that was somewhat appalling to me. This particular location seems to be a stressed work environment and poorly managed. While I await a response... I'll be contacting the Health department on this one. NEVER WOLL I EAT HERE AGAIN AND I WOULD STRONGLY AFVISE OTHERS WHO DO TO INSPECT YOUR FOOD CAREFULLY. My husband could have been severely injured if ingesting this mess! read more

This was our first time since COVID to order Salt Grass, and we were excited to get a taste of the generous portions and great food. We placed our order, the text indicated it would be ready in 25 minutes, we arrived about 30 minutes. Got the text our meal was ready to be picked up. When I went inside they frantically looked around, said they were packing it. 3-4 people came in and left with there orders. Our order still was not ready, I watched the lady argue with cook about the order. The mushroom sides were in a ketchup to go tub. My husbands chicken fried steak was burnt and the breading all fell off. This was after I waited for 30+ more minutes at the location. No one offered, comping anything, free desert just oh sorry mixed up not sure what happen - but here you go! I don't think we will go again!! My husband ordered Porterhouse Steak he said it was great. My children ordered sliders and they always think the we're good. my husband and I received the wrong orders for our sides. This is my first and last time eating here. I ordered for curbside at 6:00 pm and was told my order would be ready at 6:30 pm. When I showed up at 6:30 I was told that they were not sure how long it would take to finish my order. I left and came back 20 min later to cold food. She remembered what each of us drinks, the bread, what type salad, who likes extra dressing, regular butter, and had everything ready almost before we asked. I have been to incredibly high end restaurants in the U.S. and other parts of the world. While the food may have been better at some of those places, the service was not. We were EXTREMELY disappointed tonight for my son's birthday dinner. The wait to be seated was not long, but we Who would have gladly waited a little bit longer if we knew we were going to be sat in between two tables of screaming toddlers. Fantastic! Consistently delicious food and steaks are always cooked to perfection. Went last Friday night for my hs ands 50th birthday and had a great dinner. Called ahead for a spot in line(they don't take regular reservations). We each got a steak and mashed potatoes. I got the 6oz filet and it was perfect! I also and told the hostess it was my husbands bday and they made sure he got a "low key"dessert at the end of our dinner with a candle. Cheesecake was yummy! Oh man. This hurts. I love Saltgrass--especially having a round of hand mixed margaritas at the bar with my honey before our family group shows up. We really enjoy Saltgrass, however our experience this visit was not pleasant. The waitress Un attentive to our table, it was obviously she was more attentive to the two tables around us. Went here for Sunday lunch and were seated right away at 1:30ish. A little late for lunch, but preacher preached today! :-) I usually go for the ribeye or chicken fried steak but opted for the shrimp trio. Had the coconut, grilled, and BBQ. BBQ was tasty- they use their cream-cheese/jalapeño-stuffed ones and slather them in a sweet tangy BBQ sauce. Good but next time I'll get them without the sauce. Grilled were great. Shell-on and we'll-seasoned. Coconut were also tasty with a nice pineapple sauce to dip em in if you want to. Sauce was spicy- in a good way. I got a gift card to Saltgrass so my husband and I went yesterday for our anniversary. It was not busy so service was fine. We went at 3:30 so it was still technically lunch so we got the brisket tacos for an appetizer. They were pretty good. I ordered a New York strip and my husband ordered a classic chopped steak and both were horrible. I ordered the steak medium well and the first bite was completely charred tasting like the steak sat in open fire too long. I never got the actual taste of the steak because every bite tasted burnt. My husband's chopped steak tasted equally burnt. I didn't say anything because we had to get home before my son but it bothers me how bad it was. I personally did not like the Brussels sprouts either but that is preference I think. This was my first and last time here, waste of a $50 gift card. :-( read more

We had a party of 10 meet up this past week for a holiday get together during lunch. We were promptly seated once half of our party arrived. Seated and drinks ordered in 5 minutes. We placed orders and had our meals out in 15-20 minutes. Great service, drinks were constantly filled, food was good. I had steak tips and noticed other people had lunch portions that seemed huge. This is a decent steakhouse and hits the spot if you are okay with a decent steak. The price point should tell you it's no Ruth's Chris or Guard & Grace, or Kileen's but darn good for what it is. My husband and I ordered steaks, I had a 6 oz fillet and he had the steak and shrimp. Both of us had our steaks Oscar style. Comes with two fresh sides. We also had drinks from the happy hour menu; I had a strawberry margarita and my husband had the Tito's texas tea. The drinks could have been stronger but they were legit and tasty. Here is my big complaint. For years I have went to salt grass...namely for two things, the range rattlers and the cheese cake. Especially the cheese cake. It comes with strawberry sauce and this sweet, thick, but creamy white chocolate sauce, and finally fresh strawberry. It's a baked cheesecake (which I like, so it is more dense). My experience at this salt grass 1/1/2021 ruined this for me and I will never come for back for cheesecake because of a few workers who lacked integrity. After spending close to a hundred dollars, we ordered the famous cheesecake. We were told that it would take 5 min to make more white chocolate sauce. I said that I would wait, no problem. They bring it out and the "white chocolate sauce" was off. It looked like straight milk and was flavorless. I thought it was strange, but decided to eat a few bites before taking it to go. I asked for sauce to go, figuring it was just the first batch of sauce and hoping it would be better when I returned home. Flash forward to today (1 day later), before I put the sauce on my cheese cake I taste it...OMG...that's what it was...I finally put my finger on it, these fools just put plain ole cold heavy whipping cream on my cheesecake and then were bold enough to pack some to go and thought I would not know. I bake and cook a lot so you cannot fool my pallet easily. They should be ashamed of themself. How about saying you're out of the sauce instead of ruining my cheesecake? The food is good, I had the Pat's Ribeye, medium well, but it was a little more medium rare than well, but it was pretty good with the Cognac sauce and Caesar salad and asparagus. My mom had the grilled Salmon which a pretty decent size. Also had the spinach artichoke dip with chips and I liked it although the tomato salsa was a bit out of place for that and it was a bit on the spicy side. The waiter was very patient and professional since my mom is not used to eating out and I am not a steak person, so we had some unusual questions about the menu. They also had complimentary bread with a sweet cream whipped butter which was more on the sweet side but still surprising pleasant.
