I love Schnipper's! This is a fast-ish food joint so one can't expect gourmet burgers or fried chicken but this comes pretty close to it. Burgers are cooked to temperature and the buns are soft with a slight crunch on top. The schnip sauce (which is basically a burger sauce - mayo based) is spot on. My favorite thing on the menu is their Sweet Potato fries with their signature Maple Caramel sauce. I have never had this sauce anywhere and always keep coming back more. Sometimes the fries are good on their own! Other good things on the menu worth a try are their chicken fingers and chicken filet sandwich. Highly recommended for a burger fan! read more

I used to come here a lot when I worked near by . So I just came here today and was not impressed at all . Disorganized kitchen and WAY TO HIGH PRICES ! I Mean $10 for a small sloppy joe sandwich that was just ok and served to meet almost cold because it sat out so long before they got the rest of my order . A hamburger for $9 that was mediocre or averaged at best not even close to being a contender in the hamburger world . I love Schnippers but was so so sad when they took the fish sandwiches off the menu. Fortunately this location still has the fried fish sandwich, which is delicious, flaky Mahi Mahi with some pickles and sauce. The service here is always pleasant and fast. One night I was surprised and happy to see the manager from the 8th Ave store working from here - definitely have missed him since I quit going to that location (because no more fish sandwiches ) As long as the fish sandwich is here, I'll stay coming back!! read more

If you plan on ordering delivery, DON'T. I placed a delivery order off their website at 10:30am for a delivery at 11:30am for a work meeting. I called around 11:50am to see where the holdup was since it hasn't arrived yet, a young woman said it wasn't going to arrive till 12:30pm... I can clearly hear here talking to someone in the background about the order. I asked if there was someone I could speak to about this (like a manager) and she was extremely rude and say sorry thank you and hung up on me. I tried calling again several times after and no one picked up. I finally reached someone at 12:45pm and they said the food was already on the way. WE FINALLY RECEIVED THE FOOD AT 12:58pm ( ONE HOUR AND 28 MINS LATE ) AND THE BURGERS WERE COLD AND HARD. THE MILKSHAKE WAS LUKEWARM AND WATER-LIKE... AREN'T MILKSHAKES SUPPOSE TO BE THICK?? I've eaten here multiple times for lunch and I haven't been wronged once. Most recently I went on a cold rainy Friday with a coworker and we got sloppy joes, chicken fingers, and fries. The food was yummy and so perfect so a rainy Friday. I have also had burgers and chicken sandwiches from this location and they were tasty too. Schnippers was a staple of my late teen years when I'd go to Broadway shows. I was excited that my new job is in the same building as the Lexington location, and was reminiscing on the unique mac n cheese that Schnippers had to offer. I remember a generous serving of al-dente pasta, tangy cheeses, and textural breadcrumbs to top it off. Instead, I got a pretty generic Panera-style shell pasta mac n cheese, with no bread crumbs, and in a very small container for $8.15. Super disappointing and is evidence of cutting corners. Idk what that sauce was but it was a sweet sauce that you dip the fry in and it bang like ratatouille eating cheese and fireworks popped. Coming from Texas, I didn't expect much of the chili on the hot dog and I was right. The chili didn't seeem season enough or maybe even cooked fully, wasn't a fan of tha. Went there one evening for a quick bite and a place to hang out based on a recommendations from my young kids. The staff was friendly, but the signature burger and fries were average, and I didn't see the sign for draft beer happy hour before I had gotten my bottled beer. Place seems very kid friendly and clean. If you are in the mood for a burger there are better alternatives in the neighborhood, but I may just have to come back and try out some of their other menu items (and the $4 draft beer deal). Update: Came back at a later night with my son. He liked the cheese burger but so-so the fries. My fried chicken sandwich was OK but a little on the dry side. I came here on a Friday night with a group of 13 people. The kitchen was really disorganized. Some of us got our food really early and some waited like 15-30 minutes to get a hamburger... My crispy chicken sandwich was pretty good, but it seemed outrageous that it didn't come with fries or drink and was $10.00 a sandwich. Definitely not worth it for the price. Both my friend got the bacon cheese hamburger and it didn't even come with bacon. When she went up to ask for bacon, they took one, crumbled it and just threw it on the hamburger. I was in the neighborhood and decided to give Schnippers another try for lunch at a different location. Ordering at the counter was easy. The employees were friendly. After I ordered I sat wherever I liked. I was given a sensor and told my food would be delivered to my table. I ordered the Turkey Burger with lettuce, pickles, mayo and Sweet Potato Fries. I again thought the food was tasty and filling. The turkey burger was so thick and juicy. This location was really comfortable and kept clean. The employee was cleaning each table as the people left. She even took away my tray when I was done. My fries came to the table the same time as my burger unlike the other location! If you are more than two people eating together it might be difficult. I saw the most that could fit at a table or booth is two. The music playing was rock oldies. It wasn't too packet at 1pm that I was unable to find a seat. The space is lofty and great. It's clean and bright. The service is fast. 1. Shnipper's Classic Burger: A pretty standard burger but really well done! The meat was juicy. 2. Joe 'n Mac: Your sloppy Joe and Mac 'n cheese. Now I'm not even really a fan of Mac 'n Cheese, but I LOVED this dish. The two mixed perfectly. You have to get this if you come here. I was looking at my yelp app to see if any other savvy yelpers were checked in or just arriving like myself. I got the Simply Crispy Sandwich. I heard before that this was very good. Litterally was thinking of getting the Chicken Club also in the $2 selection but that day I was more in the mood for some fried chicken. Simply Crispy did not disappoint, it was very good and had some impressive toppings on the sandwich. It was pretty big as well, I ate the first half very quickly then slowly ate the rest later. Also, got the Fresh Market Salad which was HUGE. It was normally $9.25 so I thought this is the best bang for your normal buck option. This salad was very impressive. Loved the toppings: Beets, corn, avocado, radish sprouts, toasted almonds, croutons, tomatoes, chick peas, parmesan, and vinaigrette. Meat would have been an extra $3.00 or so added to this. I ate about half of this but was running out of time. I was super stuffed and I only spent $4.34 or something like that. I loved the Chicken sandwich, will come back for that. The salad was great too, maybe some time later down the road come back for that. Thanks Schnippers for the cool hospitality that day, I ate in the place and watched all the busy people in the staff really working it. I should have come back after 4pm for a $2 PBR but oh well. Quickie review for a quickie take out lunch, I'm was why to busy today with coding, fixing production bugs and meetings, no time for a sit down lunch. My buddy tells me to go to Schnipper for takeout since it's only two city blocks away. I remember that seeing people with there distinctive Schnipper bags so I go. I see the menu which is a large board above the order counter has burgers, salad, sandwiches, fries, shakes, hot dogs, sea food, Mac & Cheese, and more. I go to the order section and ask for the 'Bake Mac & Cheese' (side order size), and the 'Simple Grilled Dog' for like $10+. They give you a ticket and a beeper in case you want to have it at a table. It it's take out you wait at another section to pick it up, Where you can also get condiments, drinks it you ordered them etc. So back at my desk I try the Mac & Cheese and it good, but not great. It's made with 5 cheeses and bread crumbs and I guess the the reason it not great is there is no distinct or strong single cheese taste to it like cheddar. Plus I like when it has a crispy brown top and this mac & cheese doesn't have it. The Frank was better, it's made with angus beef and tasted real good. It it's one of those franks that have that pop and snap to it when you bite in not mushy or rubbery. The size is bigger than a regular frank but less than a ball park size.So next time I will ask for two since I wanted more. The staff was OK and I the place clean and cool looking with another seating area on the second floor. So I give them for now 4 stars for now but I definitely need to go back and try the burger and some fries and also one of the chicken sandwiches. read more

When people compare Schnipper's burgers to Shake Shack burgers.. I am appalled!! Shake Shack takes the win, EASILY for me! Although Schnippers has a large menu, I don't think any of the things taste that great. There's something about their bun for the burgers that I just don't like. In fact, even for their sandwiches I feel like their bread is just way too hard and makes the sandwich difficult to eat! Their fries are expensive for such a small portion. I recently had the fish taco for the first time here and it was terrible! Or perhaps not what I'm use to.. usually the fish is crunchy and is fried however they give you this (big) piece of salty fish and just put tomatoes, onions and cilantro over it. Very unauthentic, though my expectations weren't too high. I do like their pick up set up, even though their customer service isn't that great. You have to go all the way to the back and is separate from the normal ordering line. When you order online, they label everything for you which I think is great. Although the line is usually long and there are many people waiting, it moves pretty quickly and you get your food within 5-10 minutes. OHH!! And, the shakes are one of the best thing here if not the best thing. They are always thick and not watered down.. read more

What happened, Schnippers? You used to be so good! And punctual with food delivery. Ordered burgers for my co-worker and I at 11:45. 1:25 rolls around and still no food. After close to 2 hours waiting for our food, we get the order and it's wrong. Whatever. I'm starving. I'll eat the onion rings although it clearly states on the receipt I ordered french fries. Then I take a bite into the burger. Dry. Hard. Similar to a fast food burger. I was not impressed at all. I'd ordered from here once before and it was great. What happened? Schnippers serves a deluge of american food items : burgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, sandwiches, etc. Nothing you haven't seen before... except Schnippers has a staff that numbers in the 30's and looks and feels like an operation designed to feed a homeless shelter. That's a complement. So when you order Chicken fingers and they come out looking like they were nuked to all hell, your expectations are low. I mean, just look at that picture. I held my breathe and anticipated the dry, desiccated texture of over fried chicken. However... I was pleasantly surprised. They weren't over fried t all. In fact they were juicy and tender on the inside... looks can be deceiving! In fact I'd say this is one of the better chicken fingers I've had! I came back next day for a burger and again this was tender, meaty, flavorful. Well cooked, but not overcooked. (I got hte default option which is apparently medium) Schnipper's serves good food! One thing I don't get though is why the RF tags they hand you when you order don't do anything. They have a corresponding number and a light on them so you can tell they are electronic and probably have some function... but as far as I can tell their usage extends no further than the number that's on the tag. So once your food is ready, they call your number or come find you at your table and hand you your food. That's fine service, but why don' t the tags work? If you're going to have these fancy smancy RF tags... might as well make them vibrate and light up like everyone else's... Last tip : Stand far back. I didn't know about this place until one of my friends suggested we check it out for lunch, but wow was I impressed. I just got a regular cheeseburger but it was very flavorful and super delicious. We also ordered a side of fries since they were out of the onion rings when we went but the regular fries were just average I don't think I would get them again unless I was really craving fries. I would say the burger I had was way better than burgers I've had from smashburger and or shake shack. Would come back to try the other burgers and hopefully the onion rings too! read more

Schnippin' Everything about Schnipper's is average. Schnipper's Average Kitchen. I have been here 3 times hoping I would get a better experience. Everytime I have went I had to wait a long time for my order and it wasn't even busy. How can you take 10 minutes to make a BLT? bruh. The 3 different occasions I went I've had the Schnippers Classic, the BLT, and the Southwest Chicken sandwich. The Burgers and Fries were actually pretty decent. The Southwest Chicken sandwich though was aggressively mediocre. The cheese was cold and not melted. Cmon. I applaud the large menu but the food is just average. And having to spend $12+ for a mediocre sandwich and fries just doesn't cut it for me. There's much better options in the area. read more
