We are on a winning steak; found this place by accident and man, delicious. A little pricey on some things but all good!

The shrimp cocktail was plenty for two people to eat and it had tons of large sized shrimp. They even serve tortilla chips to eat with it if that is your preference over crackers. The fried catfish was good but I liked the dipping sauce that it came with, which tasted somewhat like tartar sauce with a bit of a kick. The portion they serve is very generous for all the plates especially for the good prices they charge. read more

Sat on the patio with a group. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I ordered the shrimp cocktail which had plenty of shrimp and was tasteful. I had a strawberry margarita, which had red pepper flakes on the rim instead of salt. Not really my thing, but it is creative. They have specials during the week on certain days. Bad service at the bar, was there at the bar and the girl didn't care or even acknowledge who was there. This is the second time this I has happened. Food is good, but your bartenders DON'T care. We work in the food industry, and this is the type of person that gives youour great restaurAnt a BAD name. Only complaint is it was hard for me to find. I had the lunch shrimp enchiladas and they were really good! Also enjoyed the chips and salsa. Salsa was warm and a little bit different than what I'm use to. I really enjoyed it. Waiter was nice and attentive. I'll stop back in if ever in the area. read more

First time here while my wife was shopping at the nearby Sam's Club. What pulled me in was the close location on northwest highway and their claim "The Best Cocktails & Ceviche in Dallas" . I am a huge ceviche fan and it should be already prepared so for the time I would have it was a fit. For those not familiar with ceviche it is traditionally raw fish, shrimp and other raw seafood marinated over-night in lime juice. The lime juice cooks the dish and you get a light healthy meal. Now a days most US restaurants cook the seafood first then add the lime juice. The dish came out fast as expected. It was a little heavy on the onions, attractively presented. Place was very clean, especially the bathrooms. For now I will hold off saying it is the best in Dallas until I try some of the other ceviche on the menu. My only regret is not trying this place sooner, as I've lived by it for years, but had been turned off by the divey look (more so the Webb Chapel location than this one) & the Mexican/Cajun combo menu that i was unsure of. The inside is very clean, relaxed, bright, not divey at all. The fish tacos are my new favorite- fresh, unique, amazing. I came back twice in 1 week. The location is right across from Bachman lake. Very accessible and viewable from the main roads. During lunch hours this place gets very busy. They play music and have an open bar. Atmosphere is great. I ordered the ceviche and fish tacos. Ceviche was quite good but the fish tacos were overload and messy. Didn't like how it was presented and the quality of the food doesn't taste good once you don't finish within a certain time. As for the service, it was decent. We were so excited to try this place and drove from the Frisco area. Place has a great little atmosphere. We ordered our drinks. The Michelada was great and the chips and salsa, but that was about it. We couldn't decide on what fish we wanted so we asked the waitress what the fillets were she told me bass lol I was like what? She could barely speak English and wasn't very attentive. I told her I don't think that's right so the cook came out and told me it was swai fish! What the hell is that? So we passed and just got a whole catfish. The shrimp you could have gotten anywhere just plain and bland, and the catfish was terrible. I've been here a few times now and I typically always enjoy the seafood. I will warn though, if you're not into seafood, the smell of seafood, or alcohol, this might not be the place for you. I enjoy the tostadas and the ceviche. They are both the pretty tasty dishes, but not terribly spicy. Look ahead of time which night you're coming because they have a mariachi band that frequents this place. Sometimes they're fun, sometimes way too loud. Such is life though. read more

I really enjoyed my lunch at the Seafood Shack. Clean, nice and friendly staff. I ordered the House Special which is 2 Fish Tacos rice and Guac. Although it was tasty, I regret not ordering the ceviche tostadas (which my friends ordered). It looked DELICIOUS!!! Wow. This little gem was a surprise. Great seafood and nice level of service worth checking out for a small neighborhood spot.

My wife and I ordered fried Mojarra and shrimp and oysters fried combo my fish was supposed to come with fries but they were not with my fish I had to ask the waitress for them. The food was just barely warm. The food tasted bland and it also tasted like old frying oil. The waiters never asked as if we wanted refills and when I paid she told us thanks and was about to keep my change. I had to go to her and ask her for my change. Went here for lunch on a Thursday. The place was 1/3 full, there was one other table with a couple of business men other then that everyone else was Latino, always a good indicator. I ordered the Tacos Cancun which is fried fish tacos. It was good. They used almost a whole filet per taco and cut into large slices. I hate when restaurants chop it into bits. The fish was crispy and clean tasting but a little bland. Could have used more salt or seasoning. It came with slaw and sauce on the side. I liked it but Torchy's does it better. I also order a Mexican coctel. It's a shrimp cocktel but instead of cocktel sauce it's served in a beer bowl of yummy sweet tangy salsa. Lots of lime and cilantro makes the flavor bright and fresh. The shrimps were a nice size where it's a little too big to put an entire piece in your mouth but small enough where you don't want to bite it in half. They were cooked just perfect, tender but still a little snap to them when you bite into one. Hubby ordered the Cranberry Salmon. It's seared and served with sauce. Dish comes with rice (which was surprisingly good and fluffy) and choice of spinach or broccoli. A little of the sauce goes a long way. Ask for it on the side otherwise it will over power the fish. I tried some and thought it was good, nothing amazing but decent and a good portion. Just under $35 for two to dine during Lunch. It's spacious and clean. Our server was attentive. There is a covered patio facing the lake across the street. Reccommended. read more

Great new location.. Clean and good service.. I love the fish tacos and the snow crab and shrimp.. wish it was a bit spicier. the seasoning is more of a mild flavor.. I will try the other menu items soon. great spot to grab a meal and they have a bar and TV's. My husband and I have been going to the Webb Chapel location for several years. Once we discovered their fantastic spicy shrimp cocktails and shrimp tostadas, we went there often. Now we have been to this 2nd location on NW Hwy several times and find it to be equally good! The last time we went, we decided to try their Shack Pot (or 1 and 1) of shrimp, crab, potatoes, and corn. We usually get this at the Boiling Crab (which is fantastic!), but wanted to give Seafood Shack's version a try. We are SO GLAD we did because we found it to be very comparable. The sauce is so wonderful... I had to order a side of rice so I could soak up every drop, just like at Boiling Crab! This is a GREAT discovery because we are sick of the long wait lines at BC and the Seafood Shack is just down the street from us. My husband enjoys watching the planes land at Love Field from a table on their porch. We always get a Co-Rita (Corona beer in a frozen margarita) along with our meal = heaven! The only negative I can say is that we used to love the friend shrimp at the Webb Chapel Shack, but have now had very bad versions of it at both Webb Chapel and NW Hwy. We wish they would figure this out... they used to be lightly battered and yummy, but the last times we had it they were very heavily battered and awful. Please fix this!! read more

We eat here every Wednesday. Most of their appetizers are half price, most but not all. You can have one 1/2 price app per person. I always get the fried octopus--it isn't breaded, and I'm not sure why they say it's fried because it sure doesn't seem like it but I can tell you it is DELICIOUS! My husband usually gets the cold shrimp and the shrimp are always very large. They homemade salsa is excellent too but it's on the menu, not free, and it's served warm. I'm not one to eat cooked fish but my husband enjoys it. Sometimes he gets Rafael's Special--seafood enchiladas--and he's always quite pleased. Obviously, if we eat here weekly, we love the place! I loved the fish fried basket! The fish was battered perfectly and melted in your mouth. The Sauce that comes with it was also superb. The one thing I wasn't too excited about was the $5 mango freshwater.. It adds up!! But all in all, I enjoyed it. read more

Usually always have great service and food there but the most recent visit was horrible.sat at the bar soon as we sat down placed drink order and appetizer. Received drink, never received appetizer. Seeming how i was only getting a drink and an appetizer wasnt too happy that bartender never put in our order.did not receive any food until after 1hr of being there.
