Alright here we go. I really wanted this to be a positive experience but sadly it was not. Had been craving some fried pickles and figured since this establishment was close to home the wife and I would give it a try. Ordered online pick up and was there right on time. I ordered fried pickles and a chicken quesadilla and my wife ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. When I arrived early for our pick up an employee approached me and told me that she didn't have my order at their restaurant. I got out my phone and showed the order which was $40.30 with a tip which I also felt was rather high. The female employee finally said okay we will make it now so just wait 15 minutes. While waiting she walks back up and says oh we have your food ready already it's up by the door. My food had been getting colder than it already was during that whole mix up unfortunately. Get home after a very short drive and sit down to eat. My wife's BUFFALO chicken wrap had no buffalo sauce on it... not sure how they missed that one. The fried pickles were so cold they were chewy and hard at this point and all I could taste was an overly garlic/salted batter no pickle flavor at all. They fried pickles also state they come with boom boom sauce to which all I had in my box was a generic ranch. I ate maybe three pickles and had enough. I tried out my quesadilla which was not any better. It was full of a cheddar cheese that was so thick they didn't get all of it melted and you could still see the individual shredded cheese pieces inside. I added chicken to mine with an up charge and somehow each piece of quesadilla only had two to three small pieces of grilled chicken on them. I did not finish this either as it came with some sour cream and what I presumed was their attempt at salsa, which was more just watered down tomato juice. I would and will never recommend this restaurant to anyone and highly suggest you spend your money elsewhere. This nice place opened here in Franklin Township recently next to the new Super Kroger. We ventured out to eat after the Covid restrictions allowed limited seating. Tables were well spaced out and every other booth was blocked off. All precautions were made to make this a safe and relaxed dinning experience. The place features a good menu including a traditional Pork Tenderloin sandwich. They have a well stocked bar with a large beer selection. I am sure this will be a great place to meet up with friends to have a pint and sandwich. I chose the Pork Tenderloin sandwich. It was a good example of a pork tenderloin. Nicely seasoned and a reasonable size. Some places specialize in these gigantic flat tenderloins that no bun in the world can hold. This was just the right size. My son ordered a pizza. First time ordering from Shakers went very smoothly! Service was easily an 11/10. The person who took our order was very polite and all items were included in our delivery. Delivery driver was quicker than expected and food was hot when we received it! Unfortunately I would give the food a 6/10. It was pretty good and most of my family liked it but some things just tasted okay, nothing special. Pulled pork fries and gourmet hamburger were great, highly recommend. We came on a Thursday evening before the game and we were sat immediately. The waitress was very friendly and out food was out very quickly. My wife and I split the pulled pork loaded fries and they were delicious. They definitely would be enough for a whole family to split. We did takeout recently during COVID-19 as we wanted to test this place out and feel bad they opened at the worst possible time. Takeout process was a bit disjointed, but can't hold it against them as they are new and definitely weren't expecting this. We ended up with a few burgers and a bbq flatbread. The burgers were good and smelled amazing in the car on the way home, which was a huge plus and probably the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars. We tossed most everything in the oven once we got home. The burgers had good taste, but were cooked a bit too much for us (no biggy, it was edible and fine). I'd be curious to know if they hand patty the burgers or if they are frozen... they seemed too perfectly shaped. The fries were fine, just tough to have good fries during take out. Wife didn't enjoy the flatbread because of the 'crust'. It was too fluffy and not her style, but looked like it had decent flavor to me. Pricing seemed reasonable at $42 I believe for 3 burgers and the flatbread. Looking forward to trying this place for dine-in once we are able to. Went in on a Friday around 4pm. Surf and Turf was the special with salad bar. Salad bar was dirty and items were empty. There were only three tables of customers. I ordered my steak medium rare. When it came, the waitress asked me to cut into it and see if it was correct. It wasn't medium rare, it was medium well. I pointed that out to her and she apologized. At the end of my meal she asked how I enjoyed my steak and I told her it was awful and I was taking it home to the dog. She said "I wish I had known" and handled me my bill. First time eating here, ordered carry out online. They didn't know they had our order when my husband went to pick it up, because he went in instead of calling for curbside. The online ordering system itself makes absolutely no sense. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap, and it preselects random unnecessary options for add-ons, substitutions, and removals. So because it made no sense, my Buffalo chicken wrap had no Buffalo sauce, nor ranch. All I wanted different was no blu cheese crumbles. Thank goodness I have Buffalo sauce at home to make the wrap somewhat flavorful. The fries were bland and dry. The fried pickles were disgusting. Flimsy, yet the batter tasted stale? Don't even understand how. My husband's chicken quesadilla was barely even heated up. Just chunks of shredded cheddar thrown between a tortilla and seemingly nuked in the microwave. Overall a huge waste of $40, and we won't be back. We're not big "bar food" people to be honest, but we've been curious to check this place out for awhile now since it's close. Arrived 5 minutes after food was supposed to be complete. Hostess told us...sorry your food isn't ready yet (funny since I saw 2 carry out bags sitting on the bar). She told me to take a seat and she would bring it out as soon as it was done. After waiting 15 more minutes, I asked if the food I saw could possibly be my order. She finally went to check and sure enough, that was it. She handed me the food and said thank you. No offer to remake food that had been sitting for over 20 minutes. Needless to say the cold food was absolutely horrible. To the new owners...you have one chance to make a good impression to drive repeat customers and in my case that was a complete failure. read more

So I decided to give Shakers a retry and the second time around was a lot better than the first. I had the mushroom and swiss burger and the wife had ordered the traditional club sandwich. My mushroom and swiss burger was perfectly cooked. I would take a bite out of it, the juices and flavor would just over power your mouth. The traditional club wasn't your traditional club, this traditional club is giant of all sandwiches. We had ordered the mushrooms again and they were cooked to perfection.
