This shakeys SUCKS, barely any games and the ones they do have either don't work or they eat your coins, waited at the prize counter with all my sons tickets just to be told I need to put them through the ticket eater machine when the only reason I didn't cause NEITHER worked. Waited 25 minutes for it to be fixed, waited another 45 to be helped to pick out prizes. Cant say much about the food cause it's shakeys but overall don't come for the games or the salad bar its a mystery what dressing you'll get cause it's not labeled. it's Overpriced and not worth it. If you have kids or came for Games Go to chucky cheese or literally anywhere else even the straw hat pizza is better even tho they only have a few games their service is better and the games work. I came here on Saturday 5/27/17 at :730 pm. I was really disappointed! The Beer was warm and the food was mediocre. There are no spices on the table and the grated cheese and crushed red pepper were the take out packages. We tried to ask the worker who brought out our food a question and he busted kept walking away and we couldn't here him! It was like he had more important things to do! This was one of the worst pizza parlor experiences I've ever had. 1. On a Saturday evening with three large events happening in the restaurant, there was one person on the register. This meant standing in a line that went out the door (while it was pretty brisk out mind you) for thirty+ minutes. 2. The food was mediocre. The sauce tasted like spaghettios (which is great, just not on a pizza). The garlic bread was hard as a rock. 3. The tables are so close to each other that if you don't like tight spaces, you will need an anti-anxiety pill. 4. There was a pile of dirty dishes and trash on the counter between the register and the ticket redemption. 5. The two hours I was there for my child's soccer trophy party, not a single person manned the ticket redemption counter; though it was requested NUMEROUS times by various adults and children. 6. Half of the arcade games don't work and there are no signs warning the kids not to use the game. 7. The bathrooms look like try haven't been cleaned for the last year. By far the worst service ever. Even after letting the manager Mariam know what's going on all she did was find excuses. They never attempted to make it better. The cups were dirty some with Filth and others with the lipstick. Oh and can you believe they ran out of parmesan CHEESE!!!!!!! FOUR stars for the food minus ONE star for the service, but just by a bit. I really don't have a problem with the service, i guess more with the patrons that frequent the place. However, this anger towards customers could be said about any restaurant establishment. The hostess that took our order took FOREVER helping the two customers infront of us. she was nice to the people, talking, laughing, offering suggestions, all the while there was a line piling up behind us waiting to put in their orders. the Next customer was worse, she had to spend another several moments figuring out what she wanted. "hey lady!!! theres a freaking menu on the wall behind you, why didn't you figure out what you wanted before you lined up?!!?!?!" .... is what i would of said if i had the balls, but i didn't so i just patiently waited there while she stood there comtemplating. Note to server: Keep the customers moving! be friendly, but efficient! the food is pretty damn great. took a while, about 25 minutes for the pizza to come, plus another 5 minutes for our chicken and mojo. But i gotta say, everything was piping hot and good as heck. the pizza was terrific, i forgot how good the pan style pizza with pepperoni is. They need more workers clearing up, as there were more than a few tables sitting with trash before a waitress came to collect. ON the plus side, its right next to a movie theater that has cheaper than normal prices. $7.50 for one adult, so thats a night of enterainment all in one area right there. I liked the food on the buffet, however the customer service was extremely lacking. I am lactose intolerant and the front desk female only pretended to know what that meant. The lunch is cheap and if you prefer quantity over quality, this is your place. The pizza was cold and not very flavorful, the salad look wilted, the potatoes were over cooked, et cetra... The bathroom is disgusting! Toilet paper and paper towels on the floor everywhere as well as wet spots on the floor with no sign! The baby changing station was gross! There was no soap! This review if for take out only. We usually get pizza at least once or twice a week and this is an oldie but goodie spot, IMO. The pizza is thin crust, perfectly crisp every time. Surprisingly not cheap for a casual pizza joint but we love it. When we go to pick it up, it is always busy (hence reason we don't eat in) and packed with lots of kids and games. Picked up our pizza's and got home ready to eat, we opened the boxes and they werent how we ordered them, but I got charged for the extra toppings that I never received. I've been living here for 4yrs and I never stop at this Shakey's before. My family walked in for the lunch buffet and I have to say, every pizza they brought out was excellent! The mojos were crispy and moist in the middle. Just perfect the way they cooked them. Also, the desert pizza was tasty!! This place employs thieves. Yesterday evening my daughter went there to eat and hang out with her coworkers. Everyone ordered together under one bill to make things less complicated between them they gave my daughter the money and she paid and went to sit down. Sometime later she went into her purse and noticed her wallet missing. Somehow with girls being girls and talking and what not she believes she left it on the counter. She goes and asks about it and they give it to her. She checks it and noticed she was missing her money which was $100. She tells them and their response was oh someone turned it in. She does nothing and leaves. Well today I get home from work around 530 PM and somehow my mother in law starts talking about it and I'm like what?!? Oh she didn't tell you I said no, so i go ahead and text my daughter since she's at work and about to get out and I asked her. She's tells me the story and I said oh no this is not staying like this I'm heading over there right now and to meet me there. We get there and they where busy so I stand in line and when it's our turn I ask the girl behind the counter if we can speak with the manager. She replies oh she's on break she just left. So I told her why we were there. She tells us have a seat and she calls the manager and I can hear the conversation. She's telling her oh they here wanting to know if cameras can be check and the rest of the story. About 20 or so minutes pass by and he girl comes to us and tells me oh manager said shes not coming back she had a family emergency but told me to give you the $100 and she would check the cameras tomorrow and talk to the staff. At that point I knew it had to be one of the employees or the manager herself. Who the TF gives strangers $100 just like that without taking a name or phone number to follow up with. Mojos here are always great, but the service isn't so great. At other Shakey's, the servers always offer to bring anything we need, but here they tell you where it is and act like you should have known (ketchup, parmesan, etc.) Also, and this is the main reason I give it three stars, the water, ice, soda all taste moldy! Makes me think they don't clean their machines or filters or whatever it is that needs to be cleaned. I will never order a drink here because of that. I have to take my own bottled water. read more

My husband has a bit of an addiction to Shakey's pizza and mojo potatoes so when we were headed out to Mexican food for lunch he happened to find this Shakey's nearby. We'd never been to this location so he called ahead to check on the Bunch of Lunch buffet schedule and they said it was 11-2 and $8.99 since it's Sunday. It was 1:35 and we were right outside so if I wanted a happy man I knew Mexican would have to wait for another day. The first red flag was when we went in to order. The young man at the register said their policy is to stop replenishing the buffet at 1:40. THAT'S a first! My hubby goes to Shakey's at least once a week and usually they keep refilling even beyond 2:00 and often will visit tables to ask customers if they want anything more before closing down. The Upland and Rancho Cucamonga stores will even make a special order pizza at that time and will almost be offended if you say no. I asked the young man if closing food at 1:40 was a corporate policy and he avoided the question. He said they had just been told to stop bringing things out at that time. We saw several large groups and full booths in the dining area and asked if the buffet was already bare, would they make sure there was food until 2:00. The young man said they would bring out more pizza, chicken and mojos but not things like mashed potatoes or corn. It seemed wrong to charge the full price during the buffet hours but intentionally not replenish it for the last half hour (the items there had clearly been sitting for a while). But we were already there and he said they would bring out more pizza, mojos and chicken so we paid and got our plates. When we went to the buffet, they were clearing away almost empty pizza pans and putting all the hardened solo pieces on one pan for us to choose from. We had just a few varieties to choose from so my husband asked the young man there if they'd make a pepperoni and pineapple one. The employee made a face, groaned and looked at the clock. We told him the buffet goes til 2:00 and the clock on the walk behind him said 1:40. He nodded with a scowl. I also saw he was taking the empty apple pizza pie pan and there was no dessert left so I asked if he'd make that too. A girl joined him and looked at the clock and said they couldn't because it would take 10 minutes to bake and they weren't adding more. We pressed on it since we had paid for the buffet and it was clearly not even properly stocked when we arrived. She also scowled and walked away. We got some food and sat. For the next half hour they did not bring out or refill anything except for the pizza my husband asked for and later, the apple pie pizza. We did see a female employee come out of the kitchen, serve herself a plate piled with 3 or 4 items and take it back in, nibbling as she went. They made no attempt to replenish or see if any customers needed anything. In fact, when my adult son asked for a cup for water, the employee at the counter scowled and handed it to him without speaking. Our experience? Rude, poor customer service, and full price for cast-off old food. The staff did not welcome us nor did we even feel comfortable or valued. They could have had a weekly customer but we won't be treated like that again. read more

The toys for the kids are super cheap. Seems as if they Got to the 99 cents store for their toys. It's a rip off, you're better off spending the $20.00 on a real toy your kid will enjoy. Huge shakeys fan! Have been to the one in whittier and LA many times since I was a kid, tried this one twice (wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt) and what a dissapointment. The pizza both times was well undercooked. All the vegetables on top still fresh. They cut huge chunks of green pepper and just throw them however. The toppings are so unevenly distributed in the pizza that it just looks sad. Whoever made it seems to me is a very unhappy employee. read more
