This one really burns me up! As a father of a son with a hearing impairment we go through difficulties teaching him confidence, finding his voice, and not letting his impairment stop him from anything. For the most part he's got it together and is highly respectful and an overall awesome kid. Why am I burning up right now you ask? This manager named Ernesto decided to get huffy, roll his eyes and give my son attitude when my son didn't hear him the first time. It's people like this that are not only bad for customer service, but bad for all of humanity. I own a customer service based business and we are a 5 star facility because we respect everyone that comes in to spend their hard earned dollars. Ernesto you need a lesson in customer service, and always be careful because these kids you treat like trash have parents that will go to bat for them. To the store manager thank you for the offer of a meal but I think im going to take this one up with corporate so that maybe we can get Ernesto some sensitivity training. I always say this and I'll say it again, if you can't perform your job with a smile find something else to do. This location is disappointing compare to the Pico Rivera location. There salad bar has a fraction of toppings to offer. It's hard build a salad without spilling because the top glass makes it impossible to hover over without cross contamination and spilling into other toppings. It's filthy and they aren't keeping up with re stocking fast enough for lunch. There pizza isn't as fresh seems like there only putting out one topping pizza and not offering an aray of different selections. There staff isn't going around table by table handing out clean plates. There manager makes unprofessional comments when ordering and automatically assumes you want a drink without asking for that up charge. I will wait for the Pico Rivera Location to re open than to go back to this location. A shame because I'm a daily lunch client. read more

This Shakeys is NOT the same anymore! It was extremely hot inside because the AC wasn't working so a few parties brought their own fans including us, half the games were out of order! My family and I love Shakey's. Especially this particular shaky spots on Washington Boulevard. Out of all the different Shakey's from orange county, LA and Riverside County this is by far the best and most consistent with their chicken, pizza and Mojoes. Also, the salad bar always seems to have more fresh vegetables than I've seen in a lot of the other Shakey's. I don't know why that would be but if you check it out you would see. Went yesterday (Sunday) to dine in. We never got to eat because something happened to our order. After almost an hour wait my husband went up to the counter to ask about our order. The manager told him they had put our order to go by mistake and that it would just be 5 minutes for them to put in on trays. We waited a few more minutes but then decided to just get a refund and go somewhere else. There was no apology for the wait or mistake. One of our daughters had fallen asleep waiting for the food and we were all starving at this point. When my husband went to get the refund he was not told that our food was almost ready or anything. Then we realized they didn't refund the entire amount. They said they didn't refund drinks, which we hadn't even drank. Then they say that our pizza was going to be out in 5 min. But this was already 20 min after he had told us 5 min. And again no apology. We will not be returning to this location again. We understand it was busy, but at least apologize and tell the truth about what happened to the order. read more

I haven't been here in a while, but i'm glad i came in. I haven't come to this location in years because it used to look really old and grungy both on the inside and on the outside. So when my young daughter was invited for a friend's birthday party here i wasn't exactly excited to come. I was very pleasantly surprised on how nice everything looks now. Almost the entire inside was redecorated and the restaurant looks much better (and cleaner too). Havent been here in a while, so I finally decided to give in to the urge of those darn mojo's. So I came here for lunch. Lunch buffet is 8.49, all you can eat and drink. Which is not a bad deal. Only thing though, food wise, the only thing i liked was the mojo's, fried chicken, and there pizza (only the recent cooked ones though). Once the pizza starts sitting under those heat lamps, it gets dry and hard.. Not a good combo. Since I did quench the craving, I dont think ill be back for a while. Come to think of it, the place didnt even have a letter in front, but it was very clean. Maybe cause when we got there, there wasnt too many people. The owner/mgr? and staff were really attentive.. This was my first time at shakeys in probably 13 yrs. I stopped by here to meet a friend and pick up some money. He offered to buy a pizza so I figured that the hell, I will eat some. I wasnt expecting anything great and I didnt get anything great. This is a great place to bring a little league team and thats about it. As far as the location and service, nothing wrong with it. I gave it 3 stars because anyone that comes here knows what their in store for and there are no expectations of great pizza, but I could see why you would come here if you have kids or something along those lines. I remember going here since we moved to area when I was five years old......and it was so cool, piano playing, lots of families hanging out, & I don't remember, but it was quite the experience as a kid leaving the 70's & going on to the 80's. Anyhow, went back there to have a pitcher of beer and chill.....I must say it is still nice, you have a lot of families going there (especially after games), you can't beat pizza & mojos (and beer).....the brunch o lunch is aight....not quite the same as back in the day, but for today's time, the price isn't too bad..... Well, we showed up unprepared (no order already in, no idea what we wanted, etc.), and this was the first time I had ever been to this restraunt, ever. We stopped in mid day and ordered a small pizza, the "Firehouse pizza", Hot sliced sausage, spicy Italian sausage, pepperoni, red onions, diced tomatoes and fresh basil, along with some Mojo Potatoes... The FAMOUS potatoes... The time it took to get the pizza was OK, not to long, not to quick, and we got grated parm, peppers and ranch all for free with the pizza. The taste was OK, not to strong, not to light... The venue was kind of nice, we played a few coin operated games while we wanted for the pizza. And there was a kids party going on, so it looked like everyone was having fun. Price was OK, a little more the expensive side, but again, it was a specialty pizza, not just pep or sausg. I have never been to this location but I am happy I tried it out. You can never go wrong with Shakeys pizza. There was plenty of room to park you car. Parking is kind of tight so if you have a truck park on the side. I always go to bunch a lunch. It is a buffet from 11am to 2pm. At this location they kept the pizza coming which is a good thing. Also, they had chicken breast out which varies in different locations. There are some locations that only put out dark meat and you would have to request the white meat. This location did not have mac and cheese. The environment is calm and casual. There are TVs for entertainment and an arcade for the kids. Overall, I did enjoy my experience here. read more

I've been going to Shakeys for almost 50 years!!! Always get Pepperoni pizza and mojos. There menu has changed throughout the years but they still get it right. I just tried there spicy pepperoni pizza and it's yummy. I must admit I prefer the "old school" mojos compared to the new mojos. Overall Shakeys is still the place for pizza and mojos!!
