    Yellow curry

We went just as their happy hour started! Love getting a cheap beer and appetizers! The tamarind shrimp is great! Not greasy from frying and I only wish there was a teeny bit more tamarind sauce! The yellow curry my friend ordered Thai spicy - I still tasted it and it was amazing! I ordered the green because of the types of vegetables that were in it. It was a little salty but very good! Plenty of veg and meat! The server was super nice and food came out quickly. Can't wait to go back and try some more of my faves!

The waitress was pleasant and efficient. I got my order out quicker than I expected. I got my favorite dish Panang Curry (beef) and today I ordered it mild although it still made my nose run! it comes with a side of white rice which was good! The place is decorated in a modern style but quaint... and I loved that it was just the right temp inside even though it's blazing hot outside! I will come back to try more of their dishes.

I first discover Sip Saam Thai via Uber Eats, but decided to dine in a few weeks later. The portion sizes are great and each dish can be adjusted to any spicy level. The staff was friendly and checked in on us a few times during my visit. I found the Tom Kha to be a bit too tangy for my taste; however, the shrimp fried rice was great! They'll definitely be on my list of places when I'm in the mood for Thai food!

We discovered Sip Saam Thai while scrolling through Yelp and decided to make the trek since quality Thai options are rare in our immediate area. It was well worth the drive! Parking & Service: Arrival was stress-free thanks to the massive parking lot in the strip mall. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. The Spice Factor: Interestingly, they offer two spice tiers: 1-10 and 10-15. We usually prefer a heavy heat, but found that levels 8 and 9 were still relatively mild. If you're a true spice lover, you might want to venture into the double digits! The Food: Portions are very generous and perfect for family-style dining. Everything was flavorful, though my one small note for the kitchen is that some dishes leaned a bit heavy on the salt. Overall, a great spot with big flavors.

Order to go food via Uber Eats for dinner one night Absolutely delicious - loved everything! We tried the pad Thai with tofu - fried rice with chicken - moo ping - mango sticky rice! All were amazing! Moo ping skewers were great starters - comes with 6/7! Every pad Thai is different and I am very picky but this one was great! Thai fried rice was free with order and comes with tomato and Chinese broccoli - great fried rice. The mango sticky rice is a large portion and a classic! Everything was packed very well and great portion sizes

We absolutely love this place hands down one of the best Thai food places in Austin. We went with our friends and ordered few different meals to be able to review properly, Appetizers: Fried calamari - the aioli that comes with it is amazing. The calamari was a bit on the chewer side. Shrimp Spring Rolls - this was fresh and flavorful Garlic edamame - just the right amount of garlic in the right amount of seasoning. Truly the best. Main dishes: Yellow seafood curry- it was creamy, flavorful and just the right amount of mix of seafoods. Red vegetable curry - this was on the spiced side maybe i should have mentioned to have low spicy one but still really creamy and flavorful and loaded with veggies, Lamb curry - this was the star of the show, creamy, coconut flavor the only thing that i would say is the lamb was a tinny bit on the chewer side but other than that AMAZING. Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. Cooked to perfection noodles, it did lack a bit on the protein that was in there but other than that flavor was on point. Dessert: Coconut ice cream - oh my god i want a whole pint of this. It was sooo good, the flavor, the crushed peanut on top. Sticky sweet rice with Mango - I'm not fan of sticky rice but it was not bad. The mangos were amazing on the side though. We love the service, they are always very attentive and has a very chill and relax vibe. Overall from all their 3 locations this is by far my favorite and one i love visiting.

Inside is nice, seating for small groups or large groups. Full bar. The service is excellent. My only complaint is they don't have mixed drinks. They had shots, draft, bottles, and margaritas. I wanted an old fashioned. They don't do that. The food is phenomenal. I enjoyed it enough to come back a half a dozen times while staying in the area for work. We went with a group of friends once and they all got something different. They all enjoyed their meals. I tend to lean towards the pineapple curry, papaya salad and eggrolls. Everything tasted authentic. Do be careful when ordering spicy this location does not hold back. Their Thai spicy is no joke. I enjoyed spicy Thai food but not like this. Order medium your first time, and then see what your tolerance is.

Came here for a late dinner specifically for the papaya salad. My son said he judges all Thai places on if the papaya salad is good. If they offer it they are legit, if not then look for a different place. This place had it and it delivered on taste, ambiance, and service. We split the papaya salad and Tom Yum with chicken. Both items came out quickly and were presented nicely. The Thai Tea was crisp and refreshing. Would highly recommend Sip Saam Thai to anyone looking for a quality meal in a quaint restaurant.

The pineapple red curry was delicious. Chicken satay was served slightly undercooked though :/ The portions are decent sized but the restaurant seems overpriced for the quality and vibe.

Very consistent and has become a staple in my rotation. The food is full of complex flavors and goes well with rice. Be sure to ask for the fish sauce with cut chili. Their Thai tea is one of the better that I've had in Austin as well. Service is friendly, and the place feels clean. Definitely come check this place out.

I tried Sip Saam Thai for the first time and got some panang curry to go. It was very good! Lots of flavor in the curry and the chicken was cooked very w I think I asked for a level 5 or 6 spice and it was not super spicy at all! Service was great as far as ordering online and how fast they were. They also wrapped up the curry in an extra bag to avoid any messes with spilling which I really appreciate. Overall, definitely recommend!

    Boat noodle

Come all the way from San Antonio for the boat noodle! It tastes very good, it comes with big portion which I'm very happy with. The servers are so friendly and nice. I'm very satisfied.

Your spice tolerance may vary. When asked if the scale of 1 - 10 was "Thai spicy" or "white person spicy," I was told it was Thai spicy and tempered my request accordingly and went with a mere 2. Next time, I would easily ramp that up to 5 or 6, but fortunately, the food is flavorful, fresh, and well-seasoned all the same. Best of all, they don't just understand requests for vegan dishes; they have a whole separate vegan menu! You've gotta ask for it is all. There, you'll find the predictable tofu and veggie options as well as more exciting mock duck and chicken (seitan/wheat-based.) My favorite was the meatless duck, which is super tender and savory. I don't usually go for pad Thai, but theirs is not bad! Chewy noodles, moderately sweet sauce, and your protein of choice. I adored the eggplant tofu, which has meltingly tender vegetables in a garlicky basil-flecked brown sauce. There's so much to try- I'll definitely be back!

    Is this place pet friendly?

    No.

Does anyone happen to know if the curries are made with coconut milk/okay for a vegan?

They are made with coconut milk but might have fish sauce so just ask and they might be able to do it without.

Are they closed for renovations as of 10/25 as someone posted? But I see current reviews?

Hi! We closed on 10/25 but have re-opened for our regular hours. Hope to see you!

Pad see ew with chicken - I liked their version and would probably get it again. Pad woon sen with pork - typically my favorite noodle dish and I think they did a good job. Garden roll - good but not as packed as others I've had, and at a higher price point. Pineapple fried rice with pork - I liked this but was a bit on the oily side. Tom kha soup - I thought this was very good and had a decent amount of chicken and mushrooms Overall I liked everything but some items I felt I had better versions of elsewhere. It's also on the pricier side. Still, if in central Austin I think it's a solid choice for Thai food.

It paired well with the noodles. * khảo soi: 3/5 I watched a documentary about this dish and was so excited to see it was available at Kiin Di! When we first received the dish, it was super salty so we advised our waitress we couldn't eat it because it was overly salty. She was very kind and took it back. She asked us if we would like to replace that dish. We asked for pad Thai. Later she brought out the Kháo soi redone and said it was on the house and ask for our feedback. She apologize and informed us the sauce had reduced down too low and that is why it was salty. She asked us to try it and let her know. It was less salty but the more we ate the more it got salter. It was definitely creamier and less salty but it's still salty. Not overwhelming salt like the first but ate salty with each bit. We really appreciate her being so open and appreciative for feedback. Although the dish was too salty for our preference... we appreciate the effort and courtesy to make it right. That shows an adaptive and hard working business that values feedback and that is a marksmanship of a business will thrive with lifetime customers. * 2 Thai teas : 3/5 We had ask for a lot of Thai Tea and less milk but the Thai tea was still very milky. We wish the Thai Tea was bolder and stronger in flavor. * chicken wings with spicy tamarind sauce: 5/5 highly recommended dish! There is not many places in Austin that has this spicy tamarind chicken wing that I can find. A rare dish and an outstanding one! Salty Sour Sweet Mild Spicy Unami AND CRAVEABLE! Chicken was juicy and cripsy on the outside despite being toss in the sauce. We devoured the 5 wings and regretted we finished it all because we wanted more! These delicious wings are going to definitely be on my mind just thinking of it now is making my mouth water..... so good! !! If you love tamarind it's a must try! * mussels: 1/5: we were wondering why the mussels didn't have any Yelp pictures for Kiin Di but we may have found out why. The mussels are presented beautifully. The presentation was great and we were excited to dig in. Unfortunately the mussel ran very salty and the mussels were very very tiny. The shell was average size but I think the mussels were overly cooked. The mussels absorb the salty sauce so we couldn't eat many. We felt bad for sending back one dish so we didn't want to send back a second dish again. * tofu pad Thai: 5/5 I never thought I would ever say this because I Love 1618 Asian Fusion cripsy pad Thai so much that no other pad Thai had ever compared to theirs... but Kiin Di pad Thai definitely rank the best regular pad Thai I had (without the cripsy). The favors were so well balanced of salty , mild spicy , sour. The noodles were chewy and springy! I love the texture and this dish is so so craveable too! We got tofu but next time we will get the chicken. The tofu ran a bit sour thus why we will get chicken next time. The flavors explode in your mouth. Like wow! Highly recommend this dish! It wasn't spicy for all the non spicy eaters. Note if there's any dish can't eat spicy, you can let your waitress know and they can adjust the spicy level for you. The staff is very attentive. Do I recommend this place? Absolutely! The best pad Thai in Austin. We can't wait to come back to get the tamarind wings and pad Thai along with trying their other dishes. There is free parking on Sundays. We went on Sunday at 12:30 pm and were seated but this restaurant filled up pretty fast after we were seated. Service is 5 stars.
