Steak was cooked perfectly. Desert/ salad bar was sub par. The ice cream machine needs to be set at a lower temp. It melted immediately as I began to fill my cup. We were hungry for some protein. LOL. Sizzler steak was right in the price frame we wanted to do on a Tuesday evening. We ordered the ribeye and the tri tip sirloin to go. Ordering on the phone was easy and fast with only a 10 minute turnaround time. Our dinners were delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and the accompanying baked potatoes, one loaded and one with butter, sour cream and chives, were hot and yummy. Salads were fresh and delicious. Just had the worst experience here. We've been here many times and always had great service. Today we went around 7pm and had to wait FOREVER for the waitress to come and give us additional plates. We were never offered extra napkins (which I need with 3 kids) or a refill of drinks. I thought maybe the waitress was busy in the back with something because she never came out to the floor, so I asked the guy behind the counter if I could have some extra plates. My favorite Sizzler location. I'm not a huge fan of Sizzler in general, but I love this particular location because of the service and one of my favorite waitresses who's been around for years. Allison's review: I'm offended. Truly and holy. The line was crazy long - no big deal as it was the dinner time rush. We order: dad got a ribeye steak with French fries, mom had a meat trio with steamed rice, and I had the salad bar. We found a table in the back, it was sticky....we found someone to come wipe it down, and it made it stickier. My dessert bowl for the salad bar still had water in it fro when it was "washed". My dad's meal was good, mom's meal was mediocre, and mine was terrible. Everything was wet at the salad bar, so by the time I got back to my table, the taco was already soggy. The flavor was lackluster at best. I will say the potato wedges were good, good seasoning. The broccoli cheese soup severely lacked flavor. Nothing at the salad bar had any labels. I hoped the dessert might save my meal, but the ice cream came out melted. Oh and good luck figuring out the chocolate syrup and the butterscotch since there were no labels at the dessert bar either. We made it known to the waitress about the melted ice cream, she took my bowl and gave me a generic apology. Never brought out a new bowl, never tried to remedy the lack of dessert. I had been on cloud 9 after attending an event earlier and my experience at Sizzler just destroyed that mood, my only solution to save the night was to eat a carrot cake Oreo when I got home. BOTH of our orders came with French Fries, and BOTH orders were quite tasty after a little doctoring up with salt, pepper & some hot sauce. Also, I opted to go to the salad bar & abscond a mini fried flour tortilla full of very well prepared guacamole, 4 chicken wings and, a large portion of onion rings-now we have a complete meal. I must say even though I'm a fan, I found what I received for free & what Marty ordered lacking in portion size, so I semi-supersized it up! Marty found his Pork Tenderloins a little chewy but edible, and my Malibu Chicken was a little Assisted Living-Like in flavor, which is perhaps why we saw many senior citizens there in masses. I stopped by for lunch with my dad and felt like I stepped into a 70's time machine. The menu on the wall looked the same except for the prices. We sat down at our dimly lit table (from the 70s?) as we waited for our food to arrive. The pork rib special that I ordered looked a bit strange. They looked like a bunch of small carved up bones with lots of bbq sauce slathered all over them. It was hard to eat them without getting bits and pieces of bone in your mouth while chewing...ugh. He got Hibachi Chicken and I got a 6 0z steak cooked medium rare. He enjoyed his food ...me - the steak was just okay, wasn't the best cut of meat and it wasn't all that flavorable. They had pumpkin soup with spice. Don't get it, lol Lemme s'plain Lucy.. ...If it was creamier and a little sweeter it would be good but no. What? It started with an appetizing feather on a chicken wing at the buffet. Once my chicken sandwich arrived, the bottom bun was so soggy that it fell apart. I began to eat my fries instead and found a couple strands of plastic or hair in them. Upon showing our server she said "I know. We don't make the food here. It gets sent to us. I'll tell someone." Never received an apology or anything. My girlfriend and I both totally lost our appetite and were quite surprised by the high costs for the extremely low quality food and service. Staff and clientele was nice enough. Mostly older and retired folks of the community, which is the norm for Sizzler (I used to work at one in high school). Unfortunately, this place has good people but missed the boat on good food. Sometimes, my wife and I just crave a good salad bar from Sizzler, but this is one establishment I'll avoid until I see changes. First off, floor plan is not set up for a salad bar. The space between the salad bar and the taco bar has you booty bumping against the opposite person. One particularly larger gentleman actually stopped the entire flow of traffic. :) Also, the ranch tasted spoiled (I confirmed this later at home... Ewwwwww). I didn't wanna give up so I tried another plate of salad with blue cheese. Result- decent. However, I usually wrap up with a few bowls of vegetable beef soup with lemon and Chlolula hot sauce... Yum. Sadly, no veg-beef soup at this chain. I tried their portobello mushroom soup instead... Texture was like jello and tasted like a silty one. I was done. The place needs a remodel/expansion of the floor plan. Perhaps that may bring in more business so that they can make fresh ranch dressing! Again, staff was nice enough but that can't convince me to come back. You would think that a Sizzler in a nice town would be better... Not the case here.
