The steak on the plate is two orders

It's a heeeeell no for me based on the incredibly steep prices. The tiny piece of skirt steak is $48 and a mocktail of soda water and orange juice is $15 - the same price as a glass of wine. I paid $85 including tip just for a small piece of steak, plain lettuce, greasy fries and a soda water a splash of juice. It's insane. Granted the steak tasted good. But for the amount you get and the sub par fries, it's definitely not worth it. And they don't do medium well - just rare, medium and well done. Well done was still tender though. To add insult to injury, the tip calculation on split checks were based on the full check, which is very shady. The ambiance was basically just wooden walls and lights. Their margins must be insane. Absolutely not coming back.

Was absolutely delicious! Garlic Bread was a must try as well. The only negative was the service was a tab bit slow when I sat down and I just wish they can add a couple of toppings on the salad. I would go back if they took reservations. Ambiance is nice, dark, and moody.

I had such a great experience at Skirt Steak! For $48, the prix fixe menu is honestly one of the best deals in NYC. You get a perfectly cooked skirt steak (I ordered mine medium and it was tender, juicy, and full of flavor), unlimited crispy fries, and a fresh side salad that acts as the perfect palate cleanser with its slightly bitter, citrusy notes. We also ordered the garlic bread with pesto, and I can't recommend it enough--it was so good I couldn't stop going back for more. The whole experience feels simple but elevated, and I loved the added touch of the dessert trolley where you can pick your sweet treat at the end. It's the perfect spot for a casual but still special dinner. I'll definitely be back! Service was great and attentive!

The concept of this restaurant is cool unlimited steak and fries. Let's start by saying the salad is HORRIBLE I'm not sure what is the house dressing but please stop using it I would rather nothing on the salad. The fries and steak aren't bad but I rather go to a steakhouse to get steak frites. This spot is trendy so sometimes it has longgggg lines

I recently dined at Skirt Steak - Times Square and had a great experience from start to finish. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and we didn't have to wait at all for a table. They don't take reservations so we were expecting to wait for a bit. The service was attentive and impressively fast without feeling rushed. The menu keeps things simple, especially when it comes to steak temperatures. They only offer rare, medium, and well done. I ordered my steak medium, though it came out closer to medium rare. I didn't mind at all. It was cooked beautifully with a nice char on the outside that added great flavor, while the inside stayed tender and juicy. The sides definitely deserve a mention. The garlic bread was flavorful and somehow green (I'm guessing from herbs or garlic butter), but whatever the reason, it's officially my new favorite garlic bread. The cauliflower au gratin was another standout, made with Gruyère and fontina cheeses that gave it a creamy finish. The fries are bottomless and that's the only positive thing I can say about them. Overall, Skirt Steak delivered a satisfying meal with efficient service, flavorful food, and a comfortable atmosphere. I'd definitely go back for the green garlic bread alone.

Stumbled across this place two weeks ago while visiting NY and loved it from the second i walked in. I came for a drink and the fries. Love the ambiance of the place. It was a very busy night and staff was super friendly. Gin and tonic perfectly made and fries cooked to a good crisp. I came back to NY and stopped here again yesterday! Ordered the pre fix meal with blooming onion. I ordered my steak medium and it was tender and flavorful. This steak meal was just what i needed after a travel day to NY and starving! Bearnaise sauce was amazing. Blooming onion came with a jalapeño ranch on the side, it was good but i would not order again. Too much fried stuff between the fries and this for me. The salad was good, just an average salad. Nothing too crazy but this place is worth a try!

To begin, the rating does not reflect the food rather how this establishment conducts business. I was here about 2 weeks ago and in town from Los Angeles I was excited to try this place for a while. Their $48 prix fix is not a bad deal. The steak is good but nothing to call home for. The salad was probably the best of what it includes. The bottomless portion only includes the fries which is not bad but if they were trying to be like Relais de l'Entrecôte they could've done a second serving of steak at-least. $3 for an extra steak sauce is also criminal but here's the kicker. After paying and leaving tip it came out to $400 for a party of 5. A few days later once everything settled I had seen they added an extra $10 for themselves unauthorized. They can keep the little $10 but it is the principle of them going out their way to steal that on top of what I already gave. If you're coming here the food and ambience isn't bad but take a picture of your receipt to avoid having this issue.

Skirt Steak 835 6th. Ave. New York, NY 1001 Greens Skirt Steak Unlimited Fries This undoubtedly one of my favorite steakhouses in the area. The menu is simplistic. All customers will purchase the same prix fixe meal which includes a salad, skirt steak, and unlimited fries. (There is an additional charge for drinks, extra side(s) and dessert.) Greens: Although primarily greens, it was very simple, yet satisfying. The dressing was the backbone to this appetizer. Skirt Steak: Each customer has the option to have the steak cooked rare, medium, or well done. The meat was tender and juicy. The side sauce was phenomenal. Unlimited Fries: You cannot go wrong with the perfect side dish to steak. The shoestring fries are hot and crispy. The servers continuously circulate the dining room floor offering you multiple refills. Overall, I had a great experience at Skirt Steak. Having a simple menu made it easy to order. The prix fixe dinner is so filling that other sides or dessert aren't necessary. #skirtsteak #unlimitedfries #prixfixe

Service was attentive without being overbearing, nice size serving steak. French Fries a tad chilled but we added the cheesy potatoes. Didn't think much when we saw them, but da'm were they good! 3 beers and single slice of cake that we shared for dessert. I'm not a pastry eater and my son doesn't like cake, but we all enjoyed! It was something with blueberries. The desserts were all so beautiful I thought they were for show only.

This place is underwhelming and a scam. I went here with relatives and my fiancé as we saw it on instagram and was excited to try this "excellent steak with unlimited fries". The steak was fine, I paid for Wagyu and it was highly underwhelming and I even believe the base steak was better. The unlimited fries is their main selling point, yet you barely feel the need to get more fries, unless you are capable of consuming large orders of fries over and over. The sauce that came with the fries was pretty good though.

Excellent dinner. They do one thing and they do it well! Excellent meal, friendly staff and reasonable price (particularly between 5 and 6). The steak was delicious and the Béarnaise sauce was subtle and relatively light. The salad was plain but the dressing was crisp and light. Bread was excellent and the unlimited fries - wow! They were perfect - crisp, thin and hot. The pumpkin cheesecake was a major hit as well. Returning soon.

STEAK 10/10. Seriously, it was delicious. Perfectly cooked (medium), flavorful, slightly crispy. We ate ALL of it. We did the price fixed meal (I think this is the only option). It was $45 for a steak cooked either rare, medium or well done, and unlimited fries. They have some add ons too. The fries were superior to others. Think gourmet McDonald's fries? Soooo good. When you want more, you may have to flag someone down, they're unlimited so get the most of it! I recommend adding the garlic break too omg. I don't usually get or need bread, but something about this garlic bread made me look at my boyfriend in shock. Crazy flavor! For dessert, they have a dessert cart wheeling around. Minimalist atmosphere with dark lighting.

    Do they serve soda?

    Yes!

How big is the steak? Uncooked weight.

It's definitely 6-8 oz. It's delicious, but it is a small portion. They make up for it with the fries.

    Is this place kid friendly?

I would say yes, but probably for older kids. The area is very small and it may not be suitable for high chairs.

Are you able to share the steaks and still get unlimited fries?

No, everyone has to get the prixe fix 22 dollar meal which includes salad, cauliflower/skirt steak, and unlimited fries

Is food served at the bar?

    Yes

How much is for the dessert or is it included?

Dessert is not included. It's an additional $9.00 I believe..

Is this place gluten free friendly?

I believe it may be since you're likely eating just the steak and fries. I would probably be mindful of the extra sites you can order, as those may not all be gluten-free. But I do recall the Cuban Flan being the only gluten-free dessert they had.…

Can I use university ID as an ID along with proof of vaccination?

Yes you can, in lieu of a License or Non Drivers License State ID.

Is proof of vaccination required to eat here?

Yes, proof of vaccination and ID are required to dine in with us at Skirt Steak. Mask wearing is also required while not seated.

What's a typical weeknight wait time for walk-ins?

It was busy, but no wait.

A Birthday Dinner That Felt Like a Scene From a New York Movie…read more We chose Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse for my birthday dinner because we wanted something special--not just a good meal, but a real New York moment. And the moment we walked in, I thought, yes... this is exactly where a birthday should happen. The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The high ceilings, dramatic staircase, rich wood, elegant details, and huge dining room made everything feel grand and glamorous. It had the classic energy of an American steakhouse, but with a modern and luxurious New York style. Then I noticed the enormous floor-to-ceiling windows. Honestly, the glass was so perfectly clean that I almost forgot there was glass there at all. For a second, it felt like the entire city was simply open in front of us. I was strangely impressed by this because giant windows in a busy city are not always this spotless. But here, they were crystal clear, and the New York view became part of our dinner. We sat looking out at the city, ordered wine, and began my birthday celebration. Then, as if someone had carefully planned the scene, a sudden rain shower started outside. Perfect timing. There we were, sitting inside this beautiful restaurant, watching the rain fall over New York through the giant windows, drinking delicious wine, eating incredible food, and celebrating my birthday with my family. It felt less like dinner and more like a scene from a movie. The wine was wonderful, and every dish we ordered was delicious. The oysters were fresh and clean-tasting. The burrata was creamy, soft, and beautiful with the tomatoes. The warm bread arrived shiny with butter and was dangerously good--the kind of bread that makes you say, "I'm only having one," and then suddenly the basket is empty. The fish entrée was beautifully prepared, and the steak was exactly what I hoped for. It had a deeply seared, flavorful crust on the outside while staying tender and juicy inside. This was not the kind of steak you quietly eat. This was the kind of steak that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. That silence was the review. Everything tasted carefully prepared, and the ingredients felt fresh and high quality. There was not one disappointing dish on the table. At the end of dinner, they brought out a lovely birthday dessert with strawberries, pink cream, a candle, and a "Happy Birthday" chocolate decoration. It was sweet, pretty, and the perfect ending to the evening. The beautiful interior, the sparkling wine, the city view, the sudden rain, the excellent food, and my family celebrating together made the entire night unforgettable. I went there expecting a nice birthday dinner. Instead, I received a full New York birthday movie scene--with steak. I would absolutely return the next time I visit New York. Ambiance: This place has a nice ambiance, definitely very "New York" -- dark (you can't see how dirty the floor is) and loud music (maybe too loud). She gave us good food suggestions and we were very happy with our selection. Food: Here is what we ordered * Steak Frites: My two boys got the steak frites and I have to say the steak was awesome! I had a bite of each of theirs and they each ordered it differently (one Medium Rare/Medium and one Medium) and they both were prepared PERFECTLY. The fries were overflowing. * Caeser Salad with Salmon: My wife got the salad with Salmon (they only have a few salad options) and she enjoyed it. * Prawn and Crab Risotto: I got this and I have to say it was VERY bland. I wouldn't get this if you are looking for taste. I had to put salt and pepper on it to make it have any semblance of taste.
