With a tiny kitchen it amazed us the creativity and attention to details the dishes that were delivered to guests. I mean my mocha coffee was a legit and made to order. So good had 2. The French Toast with Brie and Caramelized by hand torch honey topped with fresh fruit was a perfect combination of savory and sweet. Get the real maple syrup and a side of bacon perfectly crispy- ahh mouth breakfast heaven. Hubby had the Salmon Benedict with the home fries and said the salmon was very generous and delicious. The chunks of potato home fries were crispy and flavorful. Food was good, however there was an older blonde lady that opens the door to greet customers She was very rude to me when I went to open the door to meet my family that was already seated inside. I didn't see the sign that said to 'wait outside' because people were standing in front of it so I walked past them to enter and this woman stops me as though I was trying to sneak past security at a concert. Then got an attitude with me when I was confused why she was greeting me that way. Wow!! Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices and a nice experience. Located in a super cute building on the corner. Definitely recommend. Every small town should have corner cafe like Sky Blue. We went here for breakfast on a Monday morning, since it was walking distance from our Airbnb. To our surprise the place was packed and there was a short wait. Well, the wait was worth it. Everything from the coffee, to the eggs, to the english muffins were outstanding. Get there early, because man does that place get busy quick. My parents and I checked it out and we're told a 45 minute wait! And it was pretty much a 45 minute wait. When we got in, they were on top of getting our orders. There were trivia cards (Trivial Pursuit ones) at each table, which was fun to pass the time while waiting. Plus, they have artwork hung up that is for sale! Love that. The food was all right. The cheese grits I ordered were more watery, and could use some more flavor, but my French toast was delicious! I think this place is cute, but you are crowded in the small compact space, and you're definitely hurried along if you want to just mingle and enjoy your meal with your family. That is at least the experience we felt. I understand that you want to turn tables, but if the server is being pushy and asking constantly when you're going to pay - that's a huge turn off. The food was decent, and I think that is a good thing they have going for them. As far as returning for the food, I can totally see how this is a frequented establishment for those living in the area. I have places I can go to closer than this, and that is okay by me. Went there this morning after the Titans 5k and it was great! It's a wonderfully quaint place with 40 seats and 5 employees working. The service was fantastic and they have a diverse menu, including veggie options. The food is even better than you might expect for a small neighborhood restaurant. Def going back!! read more

Went here because it was recommended as a solid neighborhood spot and I am from out of town. The server was pleasant. I can say that much. My biscuits and gravy were cold. My husband's Em's Bowl was also cold. Our coffees were hot, though. My son and daughter's dishes were ready about 7 minutes later. The restaurant wasn't busy, but there is there is no excuse for dishes not coming out together. Restaurant 101. I really wanted to like Blue Sky, but I cannot recommend. We came for brunch this morning and had a great experience! Staff are super friendly and I love their text system (so you can wander off or hide in your car on cold mornings, but not miss your place in line). We ordered the toasted banana bread to start, the veggie omelet, a breakfast burrito and an order of pancakes. We really enjoyed everything- generous portions. Would NOT recommend!. The whole place was poorly run. The host running and meeting people at the door like they are an intruder was ridiculous. Half of our group was already done with their food when the other half came out. The food was incorrect and again side orders were forgotten and not brought out until til everyone was done eating. I really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is very "homey" and chill. The food is great. Tastes good, it's fast served and it's tasty. A couple of things to make your visit a better experience; be open to a wait & socialize with others. Like any good restaurant there is a waiting period. So get there when you're not too hungry yet so you're able to patiently wait for 30-40mins. The place is small therefore their table are not very far apart, just enough space so this will prompt some socialization with others. I really love their Salmon Benedict & Banana Nutella "pancake" it's delicious. My kids (13&11) really liked the French toast. read more

The Brie French toast was okay ... there wasn't enough honey and the Brie wasn't melted. It also had the outside cheese skin still on it and I found that to be weird. My wife and I stopped in for breakfast as sky blue was recommended to us. We got there early around 8 for breakfast and I am glad we did, by the time we left they were on a wait. The food was very good and met all our expectations on the other hand service needed a little attention. I had an egg white omelette that was very good and my wife had the rube chicken biscuit which was also excellent. The omelette came with fresh cut potatoes , toast and fruit. It was cooked perfectly not greasy and full of ingredients. The chicken biscuit was breaded in house and cooked perfect. The service was. It bad just could have been more engaging and friendly. What a disappointment now. We USED to love this place, but it must have new management or owners because a lot has changed. The quality of the food is no better than fast food now. The service is completely checked out and uninterested. We had a "18% service charge" on our bill at the end of our meal and when we asked what it was for, we were told it was the gratuity. However, there was still a blank line that was titled "gratuity" on the bill. So the servers aren't being honest, aren't motivated to do their job well, and are likely to get 38% instead of 20% for their (lack of) work. It's a dive, which we used to rave about because they had high quality food, great service, and were a small business doing things right. All of that is gone now and the dirty atmosphere and bathrooms are just adding insult to injury. There are much better places to invest your money and time. Don't stand in line here! read more
