Really good burrito! Due to the contents of the burritos, the serving of protein did not disappoint. Substitutions, specifically no cheese, are allowed here. Asking for no cheese did not take away from my eating experience, as the beans were super creamy. From the beans to the avocado, there were a lot of soft and tender textures going on. The chicken is cut into chunks and chargrilled to a smoky profile. This burrito leans very chile verde/verdant and green. Feels like a hole in the wall...quite literally cause the space is 4x4 with no seating but so worth it. Felt insane for the price but the first bite makes you understand that it's worth every dollar. Came to Son Del North for an early dinner with a friend and we both ordered a classic Carne Asada burrito. The burritos here are a little different than most I've tried in the city as their burritos have no rice, includes avocado, beans, and cheese. The tortilla is toasted and I loved how thin the tortilla was. The Carne Asada burrito also included a delicious green salsa and grilled onions and I enjoyed every bite as the meat was very flavorful and tender. I'm glad I only came with one other friend because there is no seating and it's a tiny shop so you'd either have to squeeze at one of the two small standing tables outside or find somewhere else to sit and eat your burrito. It's a great grab and go spot and I found the burritos to be reasonably priced. Will be back to try the other burrito options! read more

Shrimp/Camaron was just a gloppy mess. All the ingredients were individually tasty, but when you put only shrimp inside a burrito with a bunch of sauces, I don't know what else you'd expect to happen. If there were supposed to beans in there, they forgot them, which happened to another reviewer, so seems par for their course. Also charges a random 3.5% "tech fee" whatever that is supposed to be. If it's CC fee, which it seems to be, those can't be hidden anymore in NYC and needs to be on the display board, which it certainly isn't. read more

The texture of the flour tortilla reminds me of a Chinese scallion pancake flakey and layered. There is no rice so the burrito is filled with meat, cheese, beans, grilled onion, and avocado! They claim they don't prioritize the walk-ins but they surely do. So many people ordered after me and got the order first although I was waiting on the line for 40 mins (don't believe the time the order will be ready on the app./online). The only positive thing is that for the price of the burrito, it is worth to order. Taste is good. Staff is nice. Outside the store you could hear all the negative comments and "never again" words. If you advertise 'just beans', you should actually probably put beans in your burritos. The burrito was small, pollo asada a little dry, and I bit into something really hard so I just put the second half of my burrito down, it tasted more like a stuffed chili relleno than a burrito. The burritos here are so good! I had this spot saved because I saw it on TikTok as one of the best burritos in NYC. They were right!! I got the carne asada which is grilled steak and the pollo asado which is grilled chicken. Both were so delicious! They do not use rice in their burritos but honestly I feel that makes it 10x better because it draws your focus on what really matters the meat! My steak burrito was big definitely worth the price and you can taste the grill char marks on the steak that just gave it a nice touch in my opinion! And the chicken was just as good too even you're not a red meat this is for you but for me personally the steak is a must try! They range about $14-16 so it's moderately price the portion for it is great tho! Now I want to bring emphasis on this you MUST TRY their agua frescas they have the best horchata I have ever tried in NYC! It is exactly how it should be, authentic flavorful and you can tell this is made by Mexican roots which makes it feel like home to me. The Jamaica one is just as good too if you prefer that definitely up there with the horchata ! The service was quick we made a small line and got our order fast all under 15 mins ! They are fast! Only downside is there is really no seating only for like three inside it's a small spot and there's standing tables only two outside so definitely take your burrito to go and find somewhere to sit nearby to enjoy it !
