Tried the new turkey power plate here and it is fantastic and a real bargain. A half pound of turkey with a side and drink for $10.99. Our server Hope was terrific. This is a great deal.

Let me break down my afternoon visit to Sonny's BBQ. While it's not my first time, I think it will be my last. I want to first acknowledge the good: customer service is top tier. The wait staff is attentive, funny, and take their jobs seriously. I felt welcomed and cared for from the moment I walked in. I observed them own up to mistakes at other tables, make corrections, and even joke with some folks that were regulars. I enjoyed my 'working' lunch observations. The location was clean, with typical BBQ-esque decor, but the bathroom looked like a war zone. Someone must really expect folks to use the bathroom as the toilet paper & paper towel dispensers were overloaded to the point that anything you grabbed came out in tiny tears- the floors were littered in these pieces. The trash cans were overflowing, and the counters/floors were very sticky. I was greeted within a few mins of my arrival, taken to my seat, and my drink order was taken by the host, who was immediately followed by my waitress who went over the menu with me. I loved her and so did everyone else in my section. The food came out in about 25 mins, and all of it except the corn bread muffin was unremarkable. The lean brisket looked like beef jerky and tasted like wall paneling, the ribs were overcooked and tough to separate from the bone, the mac-n-cheese was kinda congealed, and my green beans were cold. I was in a hurry, so I didn't have time to wait for them to fix it, so I ate what I could and left. The BBQ sauce selection is either too sweet, too salty, or too bland. And neither of them paired well with the meats that I chose. The impossibly large lemonade tasted like sugar featuring the thoughts of lemon, and I was glad that I also ordered an impossibly large water. At nearly $30 for one person (including an upcharge for the brisket), I expected it to be better. I packaged up the leftovers, then threw them away once I got home LOL

This was my first time visiting this location, and I had a great experience! There was plenty of parking, and for a party of 2, we were seated right away. The inside of the restaurant looked recently renovated and very clean. There was even a bar inside this location. We had top-notch service. Our waitress was extremely attentive, personable, and helpful when ordering. We both ordered a big deal meal. I got the smoked turkey sandwich with the $2 upcharge with extra meat. This is the way to go. I also really enjoyed my Arnold Palmer with the sweet tea and lemonade. Perfect for a hot Sunday afternoon. My food came out very quick and was delicious. The sauces were all fully stocked, and we wanted for nothing while here. We even ordered banana pudding to go that was delicious. I highly recommend this location.

Walked in and was seated at a dirty table. There were two other couples and the staff didn't even come over to take our drink order. Went to move to another table and it was dirty as well!

LUNCH TIME! This is a friend favorite for lunch. We usually don't stray away from our normals but I've been eyeing the bowls and apparently they're leaving forever so this is my chance. The waitress said they didn't do too well which is sad bc I really liked it and can never have it again ): We did discuss how we could construct the bowl when it's gone and although it would cost a few dollars more, it could be done. anyways! Service is always great and the waitresses are always up for conversation. Super nice girls!

The food is good, but the service is UNBELIEVABLY slow. I don't get it since the place is only half full. Wish we had gone somewhere else.

This is Oviedo's hidden treasure! The brisket is amazing (seriously - 4 Rivers and Bubbalou's…read moreshould be worried). It just fell apart in your mouth and had such a delicious flavor. I had the smaller bowl (1 meat and 2 sides) and it was enough to feed me for 2 meals. OMG the beans! There were 3 or 4 types of beans in it and it was incredibly hard to not gobble them all down instead of saving some for my hubby to try at home. My friend had the cornbread casserole which she said is her favorite side after the beans (I'm GF so I couldn't have that but I wanted to!). Another friend had the Bbq brisket sandwich with potato salad and she said the potato salad was really tasty. Just so you know - this is a very small restaurant. No inside seating, just picnic tables outside. (Some are shaded.) There is an area outside to wash your hands after eating and you can download their app and order online which gets you $5 off your meal (that's a good deal) but even without a discount, the food is worth every penny and the portions are generous.

It was ready when I pulled up to the lot adjacent to the BBQ restaurant. There is outside seating only and a sink to clean up afterwards. I went in and my food was ready. I opened it and was checking for the extra pickles which were an option in the app. The person who handed me the food said that they had not had pickles in some time because they were having issues with the supplier. Darn. So I decided to eat my pulled pork sandwich at the picnic tables outside. Actually the tables are not that far from the road where cars and trucks whizzed by. I went back and asked for more bbq sauce because I got two small cups of bbq sauce which had about 3 tablespoons of liquid each. Pulled pork always sucks up a lot of sauce. There was plenty of meat and the bun was fresh but overall it would have been perfect with some acid from the pickles. My brisket and rib meal was excellent. I ate it later and I found the southern green beans to be good. I would definitely get this combo again. It came with a drink which is a canned soft drink. It doesn't say on the app but they also have bottled water. Overall I felt this restaurant lived up to all the hype. Check the app for $5 off on your first order. See QR code in the picture.

They give alot of turkey on the sandwich which makes it feel like you are really getting your money's worth here. The fries were hot and crispy. I enjoy mixing some of the sauces and creating my own. I also make myself an Arnold Palmer with their fresh brewed tea and lemonade. I also got a banana pudding to go. It was yummy. Had a little too much whip on top for my liking but the pudding itself was very good. Thanks Mission BBQ!

After seeing the truck, we both agreed Mission was a must for lunch. We arrived shortly before noon on a Sunday and it was surprisingly packed. We were greeted at the register, and the woman introduced herself and asked us for our names. It was a very personable ordering experience. After ordering, we sat down, and at noon, we all rose for the national anthem. They do that every day at noon, which is why they were so busy. The manager came out and sincerely thanked us for being the best crowd in a long time. When the food is ready, they call your name and you pick it up at the counter. On each table, there are six bottles of BBQ sauce. The best sauce though is kept behind the counter in the fridge and it's called the "white sauce." It's a BBQ take on yum yum sauce and it's delicious. I ordered the pulled chicken, which was tender and delicious. My friend ordered burnt ends and sausage. We also ordered banana pudding, which was disappointing. It was 80% whip cream with very little pudding. Overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent, the dining room had great energy and the staff were incredibly friendly.

They did still have the giant beef rib when we arrived. But at $36 a rib, we opted to go with the pork ribs instead. Each of the general protein servings is a half pound. So we ended up with a portion of the pork rib, the pulled pork and the pork belly. The pork ribs was really good, although my husband didn't like the glaze that they had on the rib but the meat was delicious. The pulled pork was very good not fatty, which is fantastic. The pork belly is cut into giant chunks. It is very tasty. It does have a decent amount of fat on it. This location also has a variety of sides to choose from. We opted for the collard greens and the mac & cheese. The collard greens were good. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. As some of the pieces were a bit crunchy. The mac & cheese was good although the cheese sauce felt a little gooey and we attributed to that they may use a rue to make their sauce.
