    broccoli and beef

Catered lunch, the overall dishes seem a bit too salty though the variety is ok. The fried pork chop was flavorful and it's my favorite dish. The broccoli and beef is standard. Service for catering is good as the food arrives on time.

    Winter melon soup

Authentic Chinese food in this unassuming, clean restaurant next to a nail salon. Greatly enjoyed their winter melon soup. Ordering is easy, online at the table; service was brisk, efficient. Come here if you are looking for traditional dishes at very reasonable prices!

This is definite a hidden gem in the heart of Santa Clara. I've been going for the last 10 years, and their food taste has remain delicious. The staff are super diligent and kind. The price is decent. They usually open 9-10ish in the morning, offer lunch plates, as well as big party groups. They offer a lot of hometown dishes in authentic tastes, such as soy milk and Chinese dough, and pancake.

    Chicken Wing in Hot Pot

We went here for my dad's birthday dinner since he was looking for authentic Chinese food in a low-noise restaurant. This place is nice and cozy and we got seated quickly and as expected, it is not as noisy and rowdy as other Chinese restaurants. We got Tea Smoked Duck (Half) which was a hugeee portion and was cooked perfectly, not too dry, not too gamey, and was nice and tender. I also loved their Salt & Pepper Fish, the breading was light and the fish was tender. The Chicken Wing in HotPot was ok, I would say they're just like your average chicken wings but with Chinese flavors. The veggies were also solid, just a nice veggie dish for balance. We also got the House Special Fried Rice and that was solid too, with nice plump pieces of shrimp and tender pieces of beef and chicken with the rice cooked perfectly. We got free sweet red bean soup at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. Overall, we would go here again since the ambiance is nice, making it easy to talk to people with the company of good food!

    Stir Fried Lamb

Really enjoyed this place, highly recommend the stir-fried lamb and sweet & sour pork. The upgraded booths add a nice touch, and the weekday vibe is relaxed and comfortable.

Solid place. Parking is easy, there's a lot of older Chinese patrons (so you know it's a legit place), and the portions are huge. We had so much leftover, but that's probably because ordering 2 you tiao dishes was definitely a mistake. I really enjoyed the clam and bitter melon soup.

Fried pork in scoop w/ sauce on side

We ordered the Szechuan chicken, pork fried rice, and the fried pork in scoop dishes. Probably the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. Will be returning back!

We had the bamboo shoot soup with pickled and fresh streaky pork, salt and pepper pork chop, steamed sea bass, and sautéed snow pea sprout. Everything was tasty and made me feel like home. I haven't had these types of dishes in a while! The soup really warmed me up, the sea bass was delicious, and I really liked their snow pea sprout.

    Crispy sole

Almost everything. We ordered stir fried lamb with green onions but what came was a container full of yellow onion sauté with tiny and broken pieces of lamb and a few strands of green onions. Crispy sole with sauce on the side but I can taste the baking soda on the batter or on the fish skin. Peking style spare ribs but what we got was pieces of pork chops in Peking style sauce. Chicken with assorted vegetables (or maybe it was chicken stir fried with broccoli and carrots) was just ok. Overall on the scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best, I'd probably rate what we ordered for take out as a 1 1/2-2 at best. Only ordered here as I red recommendation on Nextdoor for Chinese food. I'd never go back here for Chinese food. I'm sorry. Sadly I only took picture of after.

This is good. The Chinese dough inside is crunchy.

I ordered salty sticky rice roll, wanton soup, pancake with Chinese crunchy dough. The sticky rice is unexpected bad. The crunchy dough inside the rice is too soft. I believe they microwaved the crunchy dough. It used to be crunchy inside and nothing like I used to had from this restaurant. Other food is good. I would not recommend the salty sticky rice.

    dough drop soup

Halloween around 6pm. We were the first dine in patrons but the was a trickle of Chinese customers shortly after. A lot of take out. Family own - mother and son wait staff. Can order via QR or with them. They also have menus there. Menu is very extensive - so extensive it was hard to decide what to order. The pictures are not representative of the amount you get. Thus we ordered way too much food for the 3 of us. TIP: if you check in on yelp - you get a free scallion pancake - cooked perfectly and so delicious even the next day Large portions and the star of our meal was the dough drop soup - Never seen this before but looked like something we would like. Our picky toddler LOVED this and ate an entire bowl. Seafood porridge- rich in flavor and packed with toppings. Green beans - perfectly cooked tofu - same We plan to return in the future with extended family We felt like the service was good.

Tea Smoked Duck (Half), Flaky Pancake (Sweet)
    Julie S.

We have been wanting to check out Soong Soong. I was excited to see they have tea smoked duck. It was delicious. Also tried their flaky pancake( slightly sweet), beef roll and stir fry- bamboo shoots with snow pea and shiitake mushrooms. All were good. Looking forward to trying other dishes. The service was very efficient. Pretty good service especially for a chinese restaurant .

Understaffed. I do not recommend this place for dining during weekends and holidays. Don't bother to call; they never answer their phone.

The Chinese take out restaurant is located in a plaza in San Jose off White Road and Aborn Road. Parking is accessible in the large parking lot out front. The restaurant is clean and the modern decor is simple. There are a few tables inside for dine in but it appears this is mainly a take out restaurant. I ordered a salt and pepper wings and walnut shrimp. Both dishes were tasty. The salt and pepper wings were crispy and moist in the inside. The wings were flavorful and scrumptious with every bite. The walnut shrimp were crispy and sweet. Unfortunately the cream sauce was underwhelming. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Evergreen Panda. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was welcoming and family friendly. The restaurant reminded me of a local neighborhood favorite. Price point was fair especially for the portion sizes. I will be back to order other popular items from the menu.

My girlfriend and I ordered five dishes: BBQ pork fried rice, BBQ pork chow fun, orange chicken, salt and pepper chicken wings, and green beans with garlic sauce. Every dish was packed with flavor, and nothing felt like an afterthought. The salt and pepper chicken wings absolutely lived up to the hype--super crispy, well-seasoned, and easily our favorite. Between the generous portions, reasonable prices, and consistently delicious food, this place is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back!

We walked in right at opening to a completely empty dining room. Instead of leaving, we browsed the menu and ordered XLB, pot stickers, jelly fish, and pea sprouts (my personal fav) so glad we didn't leave! The XLB are a nice size, with each precious dumpling cradled in its own foil wrapper for maximum soup retention. The potstickers were full of flavor, packed with protein, delicately wrapped, and had the crispiest, golden bottoms! Jelly fish was fresh and the pea sprouts were a hit! The poor owner answering the phones made sure (in all languages) to inform folks calling in that there were a different May Flower than the other place-felt terrible for her but also understood the importance of differentiating right up front. I can only imagine the number of misorders they have probably dealt with. By the time we were done, the dining room was filled with a mix of what seemed like regulars, locals, large groups of families, small groups of friends... this feels like we stumbled upon a tiny hole in the wall restaurant where everyone who has been before just knows the quality and taste they are going to be getting! Highly recommend you check this place out for a dine in or take out order!

This is one of the handful of American Chinese restaurants that stood the test of time. As is typical of these places, there was an old lady manning the counter and also acting as the server. And as is typical of these places, there was table at the end where they were prepping the fruits and veggies. It's truly remarkable how they are all similar in these ways! We got a couple of dishes and they came out at lightning speed. * Chowmein-3/5- delicious with lots of umami flavor but shockingly greasy. I mean I am used to oily noodles but this one exceeded some limits. *crispy salt and pepper eggplant-3/5- I had a stellar version of this dish at another restaurant in Sunnyvale and was stoked when I saw this on the menu here. Unfortunately it was a poor representation of the dish I loved there. The batter was too much and the dish felt heavy. The hot oil or sauce they had felt old and extremely vinegary as well, I would recommend avoiding it.
