One of my fave foods here is the French Dip! I wouldn't get anything else here honestly- I come here for when I'm just craving roast beef Though the last thing I bought other than that was macaroni and cheese and I did enjoy that too. The staff seem polite and nice and the place is usually really cramped and a bit loud or quiet in general. It's a pretty small shop. My only main complaint is how long they take. Maybe it's me being spoiled, but even when it's empty I feel like it takes longer than usual. But if you're looking for decent bread, at least you'll get it. read more

The bread is very chewy, you need a set of good teeth to tear through the bread lol unless they make a bigger loaf and slice it in thin slices with less crust. The crust is sharp as well, don't eat too fast or you'll get cuts in your mouth. All the toppings in my sandwich were fresh. The flavoring of everything could be more intensified. I like the salami more sour and spicy, special sauce more peppery and fatty, turkey more peppery and saltier. I like my sandwich to have a combination of sweetness, sourness & saltiness. After eating a large sandwich I was full for many hours. This place sells the best freshly made cookies. $2 each. I usually get the coconut lemon cookie. Despite the name this cookie is more on the sweeter side rather than sour. Coconut and marshmallow in the middle was a pleasant surprise. The good - bread was fresh and tasty ingredients were fresh the chowder was good The not as good - they gave us around 6 oz of chowder instead of 12, by measure they didn't give us the extra bread that we ordered the au jus for the french dip had very little flavor the garlic turkey pesto didn't have much garlic or pesto flavor and was bland Really wanted to like this place, but there were too many misses. We'll stick to Gene's Fine Foods for awesome, large, less expensive and delicious sandwiches. read more

Just tried this place for the first time today for lunch and it's great! I order a turkey and ham sandwich, which their special house sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and red onion. I also got a cup of their cream of potato soup. You order up front and then they bring your food to your table. It only took less than 5 minutes. The soup was pretty good. It's a creamy potato soup with pretty big chunks of potatoes in it. It was slightly cheesy, not too salty, and it was a nice thick chowder type of soup. I don't know if I'd get it again, unless I was really craving potato soup, but it's pretty good! And filling! As for the sandwich, wow! Their sandwiches are served on their signature sourdough bread, which is nice and crunchy on the outside and sour and chewy on the inside. The bread was REALLY GOOD. Not too thick and not too hard. Sometimes bread is really crunchy on the outside that it cuts the roof of my mouth, but this was perfect. They put a lot of meat in the sandwich! And the meat was savory and tender. I also really enjoyed the amount of veggies they put in the sandwich. It was a good balance of flavor and textures. They also serve the sandwich with a pickle. It was a HUGE pickle! It tasted so good with the rest of the sandwich. This will not be the last time I come here, I really enjoyed the sandwich with the pickle! I sure am glad I got the small salad, I couldn't believe how big it was! I expected it to be the size of a small side salad but was trying to spend less and had some snacks so figured it would hold me over during work. I called in and it was ready about 10 minutes later. It was the perfect size and I'm so glad I didn't get the bigger size, I wouldn't have been able to finish. It came with two pieces of bread and was only $6, a great price if you ask me. My only wish is I had seen that they didn't give me butter bc ideally didn't want to eat the bread plain but at least it was still tasty. I came in here and ordered the pastrami sandwich hot. They were pretty busy which is understandable. It was lunchtime. Inside is kind of small. BOMB sandwiches and clam chowder made from scratch (not out of a can). As a self proclaimed sandwich expert from the Italian Delis of San Francisco of decades past, to my time living in New York. I literally tried over 50 delis between Manhattan and Brooklyn. This place does not disappoint. The hot pastrami sandwich with pepper jack is a perfect balance and fusion of flavors. The "house bread" is balanced between super soft and lightly crunchy. They use high quality meat and cheeses from Deitz and Watson and the taste is absolutely incredible. This place has pretty good sandwiches. But has the sailsman should respect the customer the customer should respect the sailsman. Just coming here I saw a lot of people being pushy to the workers, so I give them a lot respect for being as professional as they were and as they should be. I come here often and haven't ever been disappointed, I will say the only thing I would like is a little more meat on a sandwich or salad. The broccoli cheddar soup is also a fav of mine. I come to this place for the pastrami sandwich with mozzarella. My mother's favorite is the turkey pesto sandwich with mozzarella. Of course, what goes better with a sourdough sandwich than a cup of buttery, warm clam chowder. Service is fast and to the point. The sandwiches are simple. Wow, glad that a place called Sourdough & Co. sticks the landing on sourdough bread. The bread was flavorful, soft and chewy. Clam chowder bowl was good but I usually prefer thicker and more stronger clam/seafood flavored chowder. Bread was, of course, good. The sandwiches and the cuts of meat were pretty good too. It's nice there is an option of 8", 6" and 4" size sandwiches. I really enjoyed the traditional Reuben, but thought the garlic pesto turkey and cracked pepper turkey was okay. Misleading pictures, very average to below average and small sandwiches. A place like this should be better, or worse than a subway sandwich. Don't go here. Ordered 2 8 inch BLT's, about 10 minutes later a 4" and an 8" sandwich showed up. Instead of saying ok we'll add a 4 inch sandwich, they took back the 4 inch and 12 minutes later, the original four inch shows up with another 4 inch sandwich. So hungry by then I started eating and said this is a really small sandwich. Noticed no pickles and then I looked at the.sandwich -- no lettuce and no tomatoes. They took it back and later explained that although the order says BLT the preparers are used to the cashier spelling out add bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. No manager on site. The cashier eventually said let me call my manager and get you something. A few minutes later she comes over and said I can give you 2 cookies.
