I told my wife that we were going here to try the pastrami pizza. She made a scrunchy face so I was able to remind her that she was always making fun of people for not trying new things. I was right and she really liked it. Crust was crunchy and chewy just how I like it and the pickles and pastrami went together well. We just had slices and I'm not sure I could eat pastrami pizza for a whole meal. But I am going to come back and try. South Town was our "go to" for the longest time, as the location, set-up and vibe is great (and, unicorn slices are always awesome, as is the pastrami slice). And, even though they've had struggles with keeping the food-quality consistent since COVID-restrictions lifted, that still didn't change anything about our love for this place... Until last Friday, 8/20, and what was the most unfriendly, hostile service for us and many patrons from a bartender [whom we've never seen before]... Love the specialty pizzas these folks make here. The one with pastrami and pickles is my favorite. Patio seating in the back and big spacious booths are still available, to sit and relax while enjoying a few with a slice. Two TVs above the bar are tuned to sports, and there's always interesting peoples walking by, so there's always something to look at. read more

Great ambiance, bar and cocktails but it's the pizza that sends South Town Pie to a level all its own. Case in point: The Pastrami. Complemented by caramelized onions, melted gruyere, dill pickles and a crust that tributes the "everything bagel". Sublime. The crust alone sends this pie into the stratosphere but it's the pickles and pastrami that kept us there and wanting more. I was a little depressed to see a new pizza place open directly across from another pizza place (South Park has precious few storefronts) but the taste, quality, and hours definitely make up for it. The crust is superb-a little bit of a crunch. There's a nice blend of cheese and sauce, and the toppings are fine. Delicious. Oh man. Awesome pizza, great beer list, good vibe. We got the pastrami slice, mushroom slice, homemade sausage slice and the asparagus slice (with snap peas, onions, and mushrooms). The pastrami was the favorite with caramelized onions, gruyere and dill pickles. There were no hooks to hang things at the bar when we came, but we heard that they're coming. Since most of the pizza restaurants in Georgetown aren't that great, I, the jaded pizza snob, decided to try South Town Pie. We ordered the large arugula salad fir two, an iced tea and Sangria, topped off with a large Italian sausage, green pepper and caramelized onion pizza. The salad was out of this world good! One of the best I've had recently! The wait was reasonable and the staff were cheerful, engaged and helpful. The pizza was so good we ended up taking the leftovers home....and proceeded to gobble the leftovers up a couple of hours after dining- usually pizza isn't as great as when initially served...especially places like Dominoes. This wasn't the case here! Great atmosphere, great value and excellent food! Unfortunately, subsequent visits (3 to be exact) to South Town Pie were not great. Stale slices that were dried out, tasteless and like eating cardboard. The best salad they offered on their menu was no longer on the menu. The house salad reminded me of one of those salads a person would be served at Denny's, Seriously wilted and with sliced beets. Yucko. Not sure I'm going to give this place another chance. If you sit in a booth near the bar, prepare to be ignored until the waiter glances over and reads the sullen look on your face, eager to pay your bill and jet...feeling like I have just been taken from. read more

We carried out a veggie pizza, some sort of speciality unicorn beet pizza, and beer cheese dip with cheese bread. We loved the veggie pizza and devoured the rich beer cheese dip with bread within MINUTES. I highly recommend it. In fact, it was so good that I bet they would be really successful if they sold this dip by the can. I love beets, and I love pizza. Since I had never thought of combining them, I thought the beet pizza sounded adventurous. Unfortunately it was not a hit, but I do appreciate South Town trying unique flavors. Everything was cooked perfectly, it's just that we didn't like the combined flavors. I don't regret trying it though. I have found some unique pizza combos that really hit the spot, so I would try a different unicorn pizza again in the future here. I can tell they use high quality ingredients for the pizzas. Between the flavorful and sharp cheeses and veggies cooked just the right amount of time with the right seasoning, the veggie pizza did not disappoint. I also like that the crust is not all consuming. The crust is on the thin side, similar to what I've tried in NY, but still tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. I enjoy a thin layer of crust below the toppings because then I can taste the toppings and cheese more, which means more flavor. We will be back! read more

I liked the vibe of the whole South Park area but have to say I was disappointed with the pizza. Ordered a half BBQ Chicken and half Animal. The crust was extremely thin and tough. Flavors were decent but definitely feel they over cooked the pizza. Ordered a house salad and it wasn't anything special. Service was great but we ate on a weekday, mid afternoon so it really wasn't busy. Overall was disappointed with the experience. I'd like to give them another chance but there are too many eating options to try close by. read more

I really want to like this restaurant​ - because this neighborhood needs a good pizza place, one that's actually in walking distance. But the service is SO BAD! When the restaurant​ is empty other than your group and the servers don't bother to come and check on you to even see if you want another drink, they'd rather sit in the empty restaurant​ and chat with each other, I'll spend my dollars elsewhere​. So growing pains it is. We went to try it out, wanted a slice and salad vs. an entire pie. It was between busy times, so no telling how long the pizza had been sitting there, but even so it was good. The crust was great. Interesting flavors. Fresh produce on the pizza. However our salad took two tries and still was scary. It looked great til we got into it. Because we were sharing it, we were dishing it up. First time the lettuce was dirty. We sent it back. The second time it was obviously washed because we had a bowl full of water with our salad. However this time upon diving in, we had a wet paper towel inside the salad as well and also lettuce that was past it's prime. I took a photo of what we pulled out of the bowl. I never do that but I could not believe the second attempt. We will go back. They were kind enough to comp the salad after we asked. I hope they get that figured out. read more

To start any review of a pizza joint one must remember that everyone likes their pizza a little different. This is New York Style. If you don't like thin crust pizza that's your preference it has no bearing on the establishment as a whole. I personally prefer Chicago style like Breezy City but found this pizza really enjoyable. The staff was attentive and the bar was well stocked. We roasted because this place doesn't have air conditioning but there isn't a place in South Park that does. Overall its a great little pizza place with a clean fun atmosphere and plenty of other bars nearby if you want to barhop a little bit. The pizza by the slice is an awesome idea for the neighborhood. She's from NY originally, and we have tried so many "NY Pizza" places in Seattle, only to be disappointed time and again. South Town Pie, however, (according to my mom) is real NY Pizza. Pizza by the slice! It's great to have a place like this in South Park. They usually have at least four different pies that are served by the slice. In addition to the usual pepperoni, sausage or cheese, they always have two that feature inventive toppings (cheeseburger, pastrami, etc.), and every time I've visited there is also a vegetarian special. If you want to grab a quick slice to go, you can order it in the take-out section of the restaurant and it will be ready in less than five minutes. The larger, sit-down side of the restaurant has waiter service and a full bar. Service there has always been quick too. Great place! read more

Delicious! After reading about this place in the Seattle Times, my husband and I had to come check it out. We were most curious about the pastrami pie, which was super yummy (and I almost never like pizza without tomato sauce and mozzarella)! The crust was perfect, and the original combination of cheesy sauce and funky toppings works really well. We also had the snow pea salad, which was pretty good. After living in NYC for many years and moving to South Park a few years back, it was such a pleasant surprise that I could go here and get my go-to plain cheese thin crust slice whenever I wanted right down the street. Their vegetarian specialty slices are always nice as well and the owner and staff and always super friendly. Grab a booth during the game or take a slice or a whole pie to go. First time coming here, the pizza smell from the street drew us in. I thought the pizza was decent but not my favorite I thought the crust was a bit on the thin side and the sauce was missing something, a little disappointing at 5$ a slice. Decent beer selection with the addition of cocktails. Our bartender talked a bit much and didn't seem like he fully knew the beers he was selling as he tried to describe what a "gose" sour beer was. Really tasty pizza and a great atmosphere. I've been to STP about 5 or 6 times now and it's making South Park one of our go to's for dinner. We've tried The Animal, pastrami (so good!), sausage and pepperoni. The bar and the staff are great. Fun bar, fun chatty staff. The pizza is really good. It's not fancy pizza. It's fun. It's tasty. The crust is chewy (in a good way). Sauce is flavorful. Toppings are really good. I veer more toward a good classic sausage pizza, but the pepperoni was still top notch. I was searching through different pizza options on Postmates and finally settled on South Town. And I'm so glad I did! The pepperoni pizza was perfect, the cheesy bread was both fluffy and crispy and the house salad was solid. We didn't even order peppers but they added them to our order anyway. That was an exciting surprise! My only complaint is that the pizza could use more sauce. I ended up using my side of marinara from the cheesy bread which easily solved the sauce issue. read more
