Cute little restaurant between "Nashville" and Nolensville on Nolensville Rd (South of Nashville & not far from Lenox Village) with inside & outside seating options. They have a covered porch with ceiling fans (great option for spring/ fall days; Nashville is just too hot to sit outside in the summer). Came here recently for Sunday brunch around 12pm and there was no wait. Our server came by quickly & brought waters and took our drink order. They have several brunch drinks, but I'm a mimosa gal, so I ordered a "double" mimosa. It was $6 and a great serving size, with just the right amount of Oj to champagne ratio! I ordered the BLT Benedict with a side of cheese grits. Our food came out with 10-12 minutes and was a large portion size for $10. I really enjoyed this dish and the grits were tasty too. The food is amazing! I ordered the Italian Sausage Shrimp Linguine Pasta and substituted the Italian sausage with scallops.He ordered the Filet Mignon and they were both really really good! Everyone who works their is so kind and the food is absolutely worth it. They have indoor and outdoor options and the outdoor option is heating during the colder months. Such a wonderful place! Went to Southside Grill for the first time and had amazing service. On a Sunday morning I called in and set up a reservation even though open table did not have one available. We were taken right to our table and greeted by Cody. He was happy to give descriptions of any dish and provide recommendations. He was amazing!! The service was perfect. The food was great but not something I will wake up and crave. I'm big on bloody Mary's but was not impressed by mine. Would recommend getting the larger sized mimosas. Best deal. The blt benedict and Greek scramble was good. Food is 4 stars but since we had such an awesome experience they get 5!! read more

I shared a few bites of the Brasserie chicken with my husband, and it was excellent! Unfortunately I cannot say the same of the wedge salad. This used to be one of my go-to places for a wedge, but I was served a half of an iceberg lettuce with a small portion of dressing just on the top. Bacon was very hard to find (in the bottom) and probably amounted to 1/4 of a piece of bacon. Our server was great and brought more dressing. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because we have been patrons for years, but they really need to work on this salad issue or just take it off the menu. read more

We come here on a fairly regular basis. The service is getting worse. Came here for brunch today. The bar tender was overwhelmed. We ordered our food, and waited. Minutes later, a guy came in who was obviously a regular. His order was taken and arrived a good 15 minutes before ours. I ordered steak n eggs with poached eggs that came back more like hard boiled. I asked for a new set of eggs. Fosters to 20 minutes later, with a cold steak now on my plate, another set of eggs arrived (after I asked) and they too were hard boiled. Disappointing. The only thing that I've been wanting to eat lately are buffalo wings. Sat at the bar, got an order of wings and fries, special sauce, a beer. The wings were cooked nice and crispy, the buffalo sauce was nothing to write home about. The side sauces though were great! The fries were nice and crispy. They were out of the original draft ordered, but suggested a replacement quickly. Staff was pleasant, attentive, and friendly. Was this a mind blowing culinary experience? No. But it was solid enough for the 4 stars from me. If you need a local pub to fulfill your weekend afternoon football or just a nice normal beer every once and a while, try this place out! read more

We went to the Southside Grill for dinner last Saturday evening. We were seated promptly according to my reservation and, in addition, we had our choice of several tables. The service was terrific and so was the food. We started out with cocktails and they were very good, with a generous pour of spirits. Next came the starters and they were excellent also. Our main courses were also delicious and all four of us were very, very pleased with our selections. All the main course dishes were presented hot from the kitchen by food runners and they looked as good as they tasted. The pricing was reasonable and certainly appropriate for the service and food quality we enjoyed. We are now Southside fans and we will certainly return there again soon. read more

I want to like this place but I cannot recommend. We got dinner to go for my birthday. Mashed potatoes were great. Strawberry cake was very good. The problem is the steaks were not good. My wife's was supposed to be medium well and was more like medium rare. Even after cooking it again in the air fryer it was mostly pink throughout the middle. If you are a steak place and cannot cook a $30 steak to proper temperature that's a massive problem. read more

We came into Nashville on a red-eye flight, and once we were settled, we wanted real food since it was now a "normal" time for a meal. We searched for a place that didn't have a crazy long wait and menu that was appealing to us. Luckily, OpenTable.com led us to Southside Grill. We came in starving, and it was not a disappointment. We had a lovely waitress, who instantly gave us glasses of water and told us about the special. The special was an omelet with mozzarella cheese and avocado. I ordered the special; it came with potatoes and an English muffin. This was divine! My husband opted for a coffee and a Greek Scrambler, which had filet morsels, feta, spinach and artichoke hearts with scrambled egg and tzatziki. It came with home fries and an English muffin too! Needless to say, we finished every bite! We had a lovely meal and felt perfectly satiated by the time we left. This place gave us just what we needed after a long and early flight - this is a hidden gem in Nashville. read more

Our experience was mixed. The Abricot cocktail ($13) was a disaster (no liqueur, just cheap whiskey) but it was refunded. Our server was friendly and reasonably attentive (it was Mother's Day). Our entrees were good (filet and Italian sausage and shrimp) and arrived quickly. But the dining area is dark, loud and uninviting. You don't care to linger there (which seems to be the idea). We might return another time. But we will not order from the bar. read more

Worthy of a News Year Eve meal! Our party of eleven decided to try SG for our New Year's Eve meal. Our ages were 10-73yrs, and we chose this place based on reviews and the menu variety to suit the wide range of preferences. For starters we were greeted by a charming host, which had put together several tables in corner that was ideal for our plans to eat several course and chat a bit loud while enjoying our meal. Everything ordered was thoroughly enjoyed (I asked). The mozzarella sticks were jumbo and a hit with the kids. We were surprised to enjoyed several orders of braised octopus. The entrees ranged from Burgers, to filet mignon, chicken and pasta. We brought a few favorite bottles of wine and paid the $10 corking fee. We checked this place out for Sunday brunch. The establishment was spotless. Wait staff very friendly and the atmosphere very laid back for a Sunday afternoon. I would've preferred patio seating but my mate vetoed me and we sat inside. I ordered the double mimosa with a breakfast burrito and the hubs ordered the Classic KOBE burger with home fried and a side of cheesy grits. The food was promptly and was very tasty. I almost ate all of the hubs cheesy grits! They were perfect. Everything was perfectly seasoned without us adding any additional salt or pepper! The price point was reasonable for the fare. I first went to Southside Grill with my girlfriends for drinks and dinner about a year and a half ago. We sat on the patio and had a wonderful time. We loved it so much that we decided to eat there again for another girls night. After that, Southside Grill quickly became one of my favorite places to eat. Most recently, I dined in with my partner and we had another amazing experience. His salmon was cooked to perfection and my filet & pasta was delicious. We are very lucky that Southside Grill is right down the street. Anxious to try brunch here as I understand it's the best in the area, but alas, this review is about our dinner. Brunch is next on the list though... It was miserably cold this Saturday when we decided we wanted to stick close to home when going out to eat. Went on Resy and made the reservation for Southside. Arrived about 30 minutes early to sit at the bar prior to dinner to enjoy a cocktail and the bartender was great! Two martinis stat as we needed a good warming up from something besides their fireplace, lol. She was very pleasant and made a damn good drink. The hostess then took us to a corner table, which was nice and out of the way. We started with the octopus, which was really well flavored and not over cooked. I enjoyed (what I could) of their cheeseburger as I was so full from the drinks and appetizer, but let me tell you, no lie, hands down the 2nd best hamburger I have ever eaten! Very well flavored and seared to medium rare perfection. Next time no apps, just going all in on the burger! My husband enjoyed his scallops as he said they were seasoned and cooked very well (again not over done as happens way too often). He also enjoyed the sides, especially the Mac 'N Cheese! Anxious to see if the bartender's bloody mary is as good as her martinis :-) Brunch, we're coming for you!! read more
