We came here over the weekend for the first time and had delightful experience. It's located few blocks from the Eagle Rock Mall and offers delicious doner style kebobs. Not your traditional chunks of meat served on a stick, though. The meat is actually cooked on a vertical rotating spit similar to gyro meat, shaved and crafted into delicious wraps, sandwiches and salads. The menu is simple and reasonably priced (most items under $10). When we arrived, it wasn't crowded and we were able to score street parking out in front. The place was small, but charming and offers a lovely surroundings. Both indoor and outdoor seating provided. The food itself was tasty. We ordered the Dosquitos, Mediterranean and Spicy Doner wrap with sweet potato fries. I got the mixed meat (lamb, beef and chicken) with my Spicy Doner and it was outstanding. More vegetables to meat ratio than I would have liked, but it was tender and the flavors were on point. Engineered to maintain structural integrity in every bite. My partner in crime actually enjoyed her classic Mediterranean Doner and found it to be refreshingly delicious. However, it needed a few shots of sriracha hot sauce now and then for added lift. There Mexican version of Taquitos aka doquitos was amazing. It looked more like tubular looking chimichanga than anything else and was devoured instantly by yours truly. So bomb! The fries here were a standout favorite and so scrumptious. It had me reminiscing of Father's Office version and possibly its formidable, worthy opponent. Profile perfection - crisp, sweet, salty and moist inside. The spicy aioli provided a nice pairing making it even more difficult to put down. All in all - My visit to Spitz did not disappoint. The friendly staff was very helpful in providing guidance with our order and everything arrived at our table in reasonable time. I've ordered delivery through Grubhub at least 6 times and every single time they mess up my order. Salad without dressing--always! Missing items, wrong items. It's disappointing and annoying. The food is good, but not when you get something you didn't order or have to eat a dry salad. It's really incredible that it happens every single time! read more

Terrible customer service here! We came in and ordered food. The guy who took our order told us to wait outside and he would bring our food out when it was ready. We waited outside in the hot sun for 20 minutes until I went in to inquire about my order and it had been sitting there ready for about 15 min. My kids wanted to have lunch here. I tried the one in LA on Hilhurst which I liked very much so I figured lunch here would be just as good and boy was I right!! I ordered the spicy veggie and it was truly spicy! Tastes really good. Would definitely get it again. I heard the fries were good. Reminds me of chili fries without the chili! Tastes so good! Not a big fan of Mediterranean food, with the usually strong spices and bold flavors, but this place was more tempered and fit my tastes. Parking is a pain (very limited lot and street parking), so ended up parking illegally in the nearby mall. Food was flavorful and delicious. Got the Street Cart Doner with Beef&Lamb, and loved it. The meat was tender and flavorful, paired with a delicious side of sweet potato fries (also good!). Our table also shared Fried Pita Strips, which was AMAZING! That is a must-have! My friend who is a regular here, prefers the Street Cart Donor with Bread instead of a wrap. Will try that next time. read more

This was my first visit to this location (I have been to the Studio City location a few times before). It is so pretty. Cute outdoor cafeteria style seating space with beautiful spray paint art and decor all around. The only thing that's not ideal about this location is the parking--they only have like 4 actual spots in the little alley they are located on so i would advise to park at one of the nearby plazas and walk. I order the same thing every time (The Doner Basket with chicken and sauces/dressings on the side)--super tasty! The falafel ball is well spiced and reminds me of the ones my mom makes at home. I've just discovered this place, and I've already been twice in one week. Exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and filling. The doner wraps are intense. I wish they would offer a "lettuce wrap" version, but the lavash is thin enough to somewhat overlook the carb factor. The street cart fries are absolutely insane. I opted for the mixed fries (sweet potato waffle and regular thin potato), and it's just loaded with toppings. The sauce is laden with hearty spice (not heat), and it's pretty much a meal unto itself... and then of course, you can add meat. The zesty feta gyro doner is my fav wrap. So much flavor, the meat is fresh and sliced nice and thin. I went with the doner salad with falafel this last time. The falafel is tender to be point of crumbling. The citrus/lime falafel mix is mind-blowing, and I think that any future falafel I have would need to be compared to this. The fried pita and fried lavash chips in it wasn't really necessary for me, so I took those out. Overall, yes, I will be back. read more

I love Spitz and this Eagle Rock location is quite cozy. The staff is down-to-Earth and friendly, the service fast, and cool vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating available. They also offer board games, which provided Battleship memories, a game I had not played since elementary school. I have been to several Spitz locations and continue to love the food. I lived in Austria and German for a long time and this brings back nostalgia of drunken diskotek nights ending with delicious Döner. The loaded fries are DELICIOUS. Just had lunch here and it definitely is a favorite of mine! Instantly, I walked in and it was just such a great day outside so we sat outside on the benches. Lots of tables and games to play and share with friends. Their portions of wraps is actually really big! I even took half a wrap to go. This place has good food but I had an issue with it yesterday. I came into the restaurant last night to get a wrap and fries. I clearly remember saying I want fries but when I received my order I was given two wraps. I went back and explained that there was a mistake. Instead of correcting my order, the cashier took the time to go grab my receipt and show me that he charged me for two wraps. I don't care that you charged me for two wraps, you didn't listen to my order. Instead of apologizing and offering to correct the problem he just ignored it. I was just disappointed. I usually like to venture and try new items, but whenever I come here, I can't help but order this. Every ingredient is fresh and complements each other very well. Street Cart Fries are highly recommended even if you don't like feta cheese. You can just pick them out. The fries are topped with feta, onions, green peppers, onions, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, chili sauce, and garlic aioli. Garlic aioli and chili sauce make anything delicious. I've always heard such great things about Spitz so I was glad I got to check it out for dinner. I ended up getting some sort of combination between a salad and french fries (honestly a french fry salad is my dream). I was really happy with the meats and dressings and toppings, they were all so flavorful! The fries were on point too! I didn't realize that like, half way through my meal - I was ridiculously full and had to set aside the other half, so the portion sizes are more than enough to fill your hungry belly! I love Spitz! I've been to other locations prior coming to this one. There's a nice outside patio to the place, but parking sucks. If you're lucky you can park in the 3 spaces they have or park on the street. I got the Doner Basket which is half salad, half fries; Everything is good at Spitz no matter what you get. It took a while for the good to come out, so that was a little annoying. But, hey, they could've had a big order. Beats me. The flavors here are amazing!! I love all of the wraps and to this day the fries are the best fries I've ever had!! Spitz is definitely a must! Staff is super friendly and they have a rewards program as well. The only reason it gets four stars and not five is for lack of consistency. It's a little pricey to play around with how much you'll actually be getting. Sometimes the wraps have the right amount of meat and sometimes it's about half the amount as last time. If you go here enough times it's hard to know how on point your wrap will be from the last time, but the flavors are always perfect which is why this is still a four stars! Can't go wrong with the fries though. If I'm craving these flavors I'll just order the street cart fries extra everything and my cravings are satisfied! read more

Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. I don't remember seeing some hand sanitizers available. There were available seating in both, we opted for the inside cause it was a super cold night. The outside seating area is much larger than the inside and they do have heating lamps. I decided to order the street cart doner. The street cart doner is their most popular wrap. They have two choices of meats. You have a choice between beef and lamb or chicken or mixed. They also have a vegetarian option too. I really enjoyed my wrap and felt like it was a big portion. I was able to finish the half and my brother finished the other half. We also got a side of fries. I thought the fries were really good. They were label thin cut fries but I thought they were more regular size fries. It is a great place to pick and go. I would suggest it for a more chill place. They leave dressings out of salad orders, don't include items you asked for, and NEARLY EVERY TIME NOW include items that were asked not to be included. Included a photo in case they chose to deny it. It's the remnants of my "NO FETA" I spent half the me taking out. What's not included is the garbanzos added to the "NO GARBANZO" salad ordered.
