    chicken OG Gyro: Original Greek

Spitz is so so so good! I finally stopped by since I was in the area and I loved it! The chicken was really well seasoned and everything in it was fresh and tasty. I took it to go and ate it a bit later and it still remained warm and not soggy. Nice staff here, they were patient with me looking over the menu. Cute little place, the outdoor seating is nice for cooler days.

Been searching for a similar taste from Berlins Döner, and let's just say Spitz marks the place! Almost the same taste as if you were in Germany all over again! I tried the Berlin wrap and it was delish! Ordered a side of fries with it and the seasoning in the fries were also exquisite. Cool little patio to enjoy your food al fresco. There was street parking and a couple of parking spots at the location itself. Totes coming back after work!

First time here last night. The service was nice and friendly. I ordered street doner. It was good but a bit dry in my opinion. Also, most likely I will order it with extra meat next time. However, I was pleased with the meat quality. It wasn't greasy or cheap meat at all. It was good quality meat. Fries was good and fresh too. Bathroom was dirty and unattended. I will try this place again , and try their other items. They have parking area outside.

Ordered Spitz for my lunch at work & it kinda reminds me of a Mediterranean chipotle ... KINDA like cava with less options lol I personally thought the beef was a bit dry .. but everything else was good! Would I come back? Maybe not -- I prefer cava over this any day. This is a great spot to try though but wasn't my cup of tea :'(

Ended up at The Goldfish and walked into a spot that instantly felt like we weren't in LA anymore. Place really leans into that Thailand vibe. Nick was behind the bar and was super cool. Walked us through the menu, gave a few drink recs, and just made it easy. While waiting, we took a lap around the place and checked everything out. Tons of little details everywhere. You can tell someone really put thought into it. Nick mentioned the owner actually goes to Thailand often and brings stuff back for the restaurant, which makes sense once you see the space. There was one cook in the back handling everything and bringing plates out fresh. Food came out hot and honestly hit. We ordered the steak pad see ew, chicken fried rice, fried shrimp rolls, and drinks. No complaints. Glad the burrito line was long or we probably wouldn't have found this spot. Definitely coming back, feels like a good date night place.

The vibe pulled us in right away--dim, moody lighting, cozy but still lively. It's one of those spots where you actually want to stay and hang out for a while. The drinks were really good. Perfect if you want something that doesn't just taste like straight alcohol. We also had some food and were pleasantly surprised--everything felt a little elevated but still really comforting. Service was friendly and laid-back, which we appreciated. Not over the top, but attentive enough. Overall, such a great spontaneous date night spot for us while we were in town. We were told seating was first come, first served, so when a table opened up outside, our group of five sat down while part of our group went inside to order. Almost immediately, my friends were aggressively accused by a waitress of bringing outside alcohol, which was completely untrue. Shortly after ordering multiple drinks and several plates of food, another staff member came to our table and began yelling at us, threatening to kick us out for being "rude" to staff, even though we had done nothing but order our food and drinks. What made it even more uncomfortable was watching other guests openly smoking weed while staff said nothing, yet our group felt watched, accused, and singled out the entire time. As the only Latino group sitting outside, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and discriminated against. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand hospitality and house policies, which is why this treatment was especially disappointing. What should have been a fun birthday celebration turned into a terrible experience, and we ended up leaving early.

The oysters were also excellent. They were fresh, briny, and exactly what we were hoping for. The tostada was another favorite with great flavor and texture. The only misses for me were the icy crudo and the chicory Caesar salad. The fish in the crudo was fresh, but it was overdressed with too many competing flavors that kept the fish from standing out. The chicory Caesar salad was the biggest disappointment. It was very mint forward and didn't have the classic flavors of a Caesar at all. I don't mind a creative interpretation, but this didn't taste like a Caesar salad whatsoever. Overall, the quality of the seafood was excellent - not sure if I'd come back though due to the inconsistency amongst the meal.

As a I grew up in Highland Park I took my wife to visit The Arroyo Club bar to celebrate her recent promotion after the bar was recommended to us by a close friend. We were looking forward to a fun evening and decided to participate in the trivia game being hosted that night. After receiving an answer sheet from the host, Matt, my wife and I began playing. The trivia topic was based on an older television show that we were unfamiliar with, and we initially used our phones to look up answers. A male individual approached us and informed us that using our phones was considered cheating. We accepted that explanation, stopped using our phones, and continued playing. Later in the evening, I observed bartender Justin speaking with the same individual and appearing to provide him with answers. When I questioned how that was different from what we had been told not to do, Justin stated that it was not cheating because they were part of a group. I responded that it was only a game and not a serious issue, especially considering my wife and I had only accumulated a few points. At that point, the interaction became uncomfortable. Justin informed the host that my wife and I should be disqualified for cheating, despite the fact that we had stopped using our phones when instructed. The employee who had originally confronted us also became increasingly confrontational, which my wife and I found intimidating. I later asked another bartender, Zach, what the concern was, and he explained that the winning prize was $50. While I understand the importance of maintaining fair rules, the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily hostile and embarrassing. What made the experience even more disappointing was that we appeared to be the only minority guests present at the time, and we observed other patrons using their phones without being confronted. This left us feeling singled out and unwelcome. My wife attempted to discuss how the situation made us feel with a female bartender who had blue hair. Unfortunately, her reaction appeared dismissive, and our concerns did not seem to be taken seriously. As we prepared to leave, the employee who had initially confronted us remained nearby staring in our direction, which further contributed to our discomfort. For reference, we were seated at the right corner of the bar if you were facing the bar from the front. I am not seeking compensation. Rather, I hope management will review the events of that evening, including any available security footage and discussions with staff members present. No guest should leave feeling targeted, embarrassed, or unwelcome while simply trying to enjoy a night out celebrating a special occasion.
