I've used Stanley Steemer several times for the carpet in my apartment. I have two big dogs and a messy boyfriend who mountain bikes and does lots of other outdoor stuff, so the carpet gets dirtier by the day with all the stuff they bring in on their paws, shoes, and bike tires. Having dogs also comes with the inevitable accident in the house and the throw up stains from when they get sick in the night from time to time. We have our own steam cleaner, but it does not compare to the work Stanley Steemer does. The reps are always so professional and courteous. They are efficient and do a spectacular job. For a one bedroom apartment and furniture, it's expensive, but it's definitely worth it. Everything is so clean and fresh after they're done; they always get that wet dog smell out of everything, which I really appreciate. I highly recommend them. read more

We recently had a remodel done, and the firm that did the remodel had a cleaning service come in, and then had Stanley Steemer to clean the carpets. I'm not sure which one they used (we are in Redmond), but I suspect it was this one, not the Auburn one. First, when we came in after it was done, the floor was still soaking wet. We've had carpets cleaned before (wool ones and this one is nylon, which is supposed to be easier), and they are not usually that wet. Then we saw that the carpet cleaning person had put our recliner chair on the kitchen counter. I expect he wanted to move it to clean the carpet, but instead of lifting it way up, he could have walked a few feet and put it in the kitchen. Instead he put it on a freshly cleaned counter and may have scratched it. They don't seem to care about your stuff. It is now 28 hours later and the carpets are still wet. We've never had that before. This is a huge pain. May it is the steam cleaning instead of ChemDry, but we will never use them again unless it is a totally empty apartment we won't be in for several days. read more

When she asked me when I wanted the 3rd cleaning done, after reminding me again that it had expired, I explained to her that I was moving and would let her k now when. She suggested a 'certificate' and I said that would be fine. I just received it and it was for $85! This was NOT acceptable since I paid the full price of $99+ when I bought into the plan. What kind of business did I get myself associated with? When Corporate got involved Corporate took responsibility of their name on the product, too bad their associates don't! read more

Not impressed at all. First time and last time using SS. I thought a big name in carpet cleaning would do better. Well, they don't. The tech smelled, I could barely understand him (I think he had a wad of tobacco in his mouth), and didn't put the couch on coasters (or whatever they do afterwards). i will like to give -1 . So first time i called them to clean up my sofa . And Everything was booked on call . I called in two times to confirm. I got an email for appointment reminder .. I taught wow they are professional but then everything turned out to be a disaster. 1. Timeline window given was today at 9 am to 12 pm .. 2. Address was correct but no one turned up 3. i did tell my phone number but they took one number is 2 instead of 3.. But each time i called they verified my number but stil never changed in system?? 4. Also if the number is incorrect and they have my correct address unless i call and cancel they are free to come knock my door from 9 am to 12pm. 5. More over if they cant reach to my cell and the guys can call their office and then ask the office people to email me that they are about to arrive and verify my Phone ... if i own a business that how i will do.. The appointment is there and they should show up . If address is incorrect then its a different story but still step-5 can be done... 6. I called and checked what is status Then the person who took my phone call started asking me oh where is ur parking lot how far is it from the building. This was not asked the first time i called or should these be asked the first time i called in to book the appointment for upholstery cleaning. He was giving me whole lot excuse stating oh the pipes should be long enough.. But where r they ?? To even find out if the pipes will come inside my apartment or not?? And i am watching my parking lot every 15 min interval from 9 am onwards i have not seen any stanley steamer vehicle that came in .. Very bad and disappointed . I wasted my leave for this .. Really not a way for doing business and instead of being sorry for not turning up you are asking all unwanted question that makes no sense!!.. Have always uses Stanley Steemer, and they've always done a decent job. This last Sat is the LAST time we call Stanley Steemer. One man showed up, where these carpet jobs take 2, and 2 guys have always come before First he had trouble with his tablet, and my husband had to help him with that Next my husband had to help move the furniture, whereas on Stanley Steelers website they say the cleaners do the moving, and they always have before Finally once the carpets were not so wet, they actually look dirtier than before. I am talking coffee drips etc which I took store bought cleaner and they came out right away. It's a shame because they've always done a good job in the past, and for nearly $300 I hate to reclean the carpets myself. read more

Hmmm, what can I say that hasn't already been said about Stanley Steemer! They are professional, courteous, on time, work quickly and very efficiently! They are pleasant to speak with and jovial. I've had Stanley Steemer come to each of my new residences over the years and I will not go to anyone else. Family is family and Stanley Steemer is part of my extended family. On the visit to my current residence, I had explained to them that this house was built in 1960 and that the carpet is probably original. You remember those days, the avocado green short shag. I mentioned that if the carpet gets destroyed I wouldn't care. Well to my amazement, the carpet looked like it was brand new and didn't show its age at all. Stanley Steemer came to my house yesterday. I hired them to clean all of my wall-to-wall carpeting and to clean my vinyl and hardwood flooring. Although the carpets look FABULOUS, the other flooring (with the exception of the hall bathroom flooring) in my house looks just as grungy and dirty as it did before Stanley Steemer "cleaned" the floors. First I was told that the floors still looked dirty because my vinyl floors were peeling. They were/are not. They merely looked patchy with uneven, built-up grime on them. Then I was told that the reason my hardwood floors couldn't be cleaned properly was because I had used Mop & Glo on them, which caused "contamination." Well, I read on their website that Stanley Steemer won't apply a sealant on some hardwood floors because of this, but it does say that with basic cleaning, the top layer of dirt should be removed from the floors, leaving the floors clean. I was told that if I wanted that dirt gone, I needed to have my floors "stripped," which costs extra. Why should I pay extra just to have my floors properly cleaned? At the very least, I expected "basic cleaning" to actually make my floors look different, cleaner. Not only do my hardwood and vinyl floors look just as they did prior to the "cleaning," they got damaged with an 18-inch long scratch AND wide ,long smudges/scrapes by something being slid across it. I had an empty 1200sq ft house and when Stanley steamer came to clean the carpet, not only was the guy Late arriving, he literally only spend 20 minutes in the house cleaning, I even said how could you be done so quickly to the guy cleaning. Upon looking at carpet he missed the closet so I had to have him go back in. None of the carpet looked clean after he was finished with his so called cleaning job. Today we had our carpets cleaned by Stanley Steemer this morning at 8:00 am. Very poor work! We have used Stanley Steemer numerous times before and they've done a Great job. But today, Jordan, was in and out and said, "This is the best I can do and left after he was paid. It is now 6:54 p.m., and you can still see the areas are not cleaned as they should be. Had a really bad experience yesterday. I had scheduled a cleaning and had taken the time to get everything off the floor, and the guy cancelled on me cause he drove the neighborhood for 5 minutes and couldn't find parking. When I spoke to him on the phone, he sounded like he didn't want to be bothered and wanted to be elsewhere doing other things. This experience left me wondering if I should risk rescheduling or go with another company. I ended up rescheduling for this morning and hoped I'd be getting a different guy, and I was not disappointed. My Stanley Steemer experience was great last summer and was just as good again this year. The phone representative was efficient and pulled up my information and handled everything great. I also got a "crew's on the way" phone call about 30 min prior and that was good too. The crew introduced themselves when they arrived, listened to my explanations and went to work. I had a great experience with Stanley Steamer! They have cleaned my carpets twice now - second time was today. They get out stains from my carpet that I think there is just no possible way to remove. This was the fourth time I've used Stanley Steemer. Each time, it's the same: they show up late, and are sales-pitchy. This most recent visit was the last straw. They spent the whole time upselling me, trying to sell each additional service 3 or 4 times. They even tried to sell me door mats - are you kidding me? Normally they dispose of their wastewater down one of our toilets. Instead, they dumped it in the street, which I am quite sure is illegal. I'm done with this company. read more

I am VERY disappointed with Stanley Steemer. While the job was done, it cost $172 more than I and the company agreed upon. There was a lot of upselling without stating the complete (hidden) costs. What should have cost $37 cost $157. What was to cost $99 was charged at $151.None of this showed up in detail until AFTER the receipt was printed out. When I called management to try and sort it out, I was told that it might take up to two days for someone to call me back. No one did. On the third day, I called again. I was assured that someone would call me back that day. No one did. I am now forced to log a dispute with my credit card company. I will not use Stanley Steemer again. We had our tile and grout cleaned in the kitchen. The employee sprayed on the cleaning solution and left it sitting for more than an hour while he cleaned other carpets. Right after he left, we noticed the paint on the baseboard had bubbled up and was coming off. We called his cell phone right away but he never called back. I called the main line and William came out to examine. He then called the next morning and said that he and his manager had determined that they didn't cause the damage! I dust the baseboards weekly and would have noticed if this had been damaged before the work. My husband has called William's manager and left three voicemails and not received a return call. Will never be using this company again and will be following up with the corporate office. This type of customer service is unacceptable. read more

I used this location once before to clean my carpets and they did a great job (overlooking the fact that they went to the wrong house and were 30 min late). So I booked them a 2nd time to clean some furniture. The day prior, the corporate office called me twice (an hour apart) to confirm the appointment. They never left a message, but continued to call. So after the 2nd phone call, I redialed the number to see who was calling and not leaving a message. It was Stanley Steemer. So the day of the appointment, the cleaners arrive. They did so by being very thorough, removing some nasty stains, and doing a great bringing life back to the hardwoods. There was no mess during or after the cleaning. I've used Stanley Steemer now 4x. Each time they did a pretty good job. They do try to sell you more stuff when they're at your home. Just say no! Over all, my carpets are clean, they did what I asked. Maybe My expectations aren't very high. My carpets weren't disgusting at all, but they still did a good job with moving furniture and paying attentions to the spots I asked them to. I would use them again. Customer service was pretty good. They were on time and respectful. Just be firm about what you want and what you don't want. read more

Why have I waited so long to call Stanley Steemer? I figured they were very expensive. how about having another year or two out of my carpet ? I am so amazed. There was one red stain that was 2 years old we put a couch on top of but had cleaned with every cleaning company visit, to no success....and I tracked a squished tube of dark green acrylic paint on my hallway carpet outside of my studio, a good 5x8 huge dark green stain....that nothing could take out. That green stain is a pale pale green now but I will TAKE IT! Red stain GONE! I don't know if I was just lucky, but Jake and Josh came and they were professional, arrived looking like they were ready to take me to lunch, provided good and ongoing information, checked with me each step of the way to see if I was pleased, and were so respectful with my things. Exactly the same experience as Robin C in Edmonds. Problems start from the moment you make the online booking. They give you a window and show up outside of the window, then straight into the sales pitch. No phone call because their web site records the wrong information and phone number. The order that they you give in the first place will be ignored but you figure it out later on when they talk about charging you extra to have stuff done. Everything they told me was untrue. 1. They don't show up in the window. 2. They promised a return visit the next day at 1pm to finish the job. By 3.00 pm that had not happened. 3. On the 3rd visit the promised an experienced crew. I kid you not when I tell you that they were training the new guy on the job. 4. They leave by shutting the door, no apologies. Today I had scheduled them to come out and clean a couple rooms in our house and during the visit they also cleaned my sectional couch which is made of micro suede. They were a little late, but that is because our house is hard to find. They called us and stayed in constant contact while they tried to find us. Our pet "spite pees" and they were able to get everything out and deoderized two extra spaces for free for the inconvenience of being late. I will definitely go with them again. What customer service? Let me explain... on August 17, 2018 (that's today) a Stanley Steemer tech came to my condo and refused to do the work that I hired them to do so I could list my property for sale the following week. Being new to the floor cleaning service experience, I would have assumed that when setting up an appointment, questions would be asked about the property, details would have been provided about the requirements and recommendations would be made if there was an issue. None of that happened. Again, not ever having tile or carpet cleaned by a large vendor, I didn't know that hoses would be connected to the van and that the van needed to be right next to the unit. Unfortunately, the only parking is a fire lane unless the hoses were draped across the local access road - which could have been explained if only the agent setting up the appointment would have asked. The tech told me that if he parked in the fire lane and got a ticket, I - the customer - would have to pay or it would be on him. He was unwilling to drive around the small complex and search for parking alternatives or recommend a "portable" which I was unaware was even an option. Instead he was quick to blame the company as it was their fault. He made it clear that it certainly wasn't my fault but wasn't about to take any responsibility at all. Not only did he blame the organization that pays his bills over and over and over again, he so nicely told me that he'd simply cancel my appointment not caring that I was depending on Stanley Steemer to clean the tile for my listing next week. So he left... not sure if he followed up to cancel the appointment. I called Stanley Steemer immediately. The poor unfortunate soul who answered my call after that horrible experience tried to get in touch with the branch manager and lost connection after over 7 minutes being on hold. She thinks the branch manager should call me back but didn't know for sure. She had to listen to me vent angrily but finally was able to get a portable scheduled to come out later the same day. (Today). We'll see. I'm not hopeful. While I am aware that it is a difficult market to hire quality employees, I might recommend that you take a good look at who you do employ and ensure that they offer the expected service that you all expect. I am angry and disappointed to say the least. read more

They were extremely professional, moved furniture, protected my house and put in a caring job. 2 cleaners cam out together and they were done in 2 hours. In 2018 Stanley Steemer gouged my custom hardwood floor with their equipment. They did absolutely nothing to remedy. My research said the whole floor needed to be replaced, costing thousands. In March 2019, I found a wood artist who made the damage invisible. He charged $650 plus tax. Despite numerous billings and phone calls over eleven months, Stanley Steemer has not paid. read more

We decided to give them one last try, we emptied pretty much our whole house except the large pieces of furniture, they arrived on time at 9 am, we were having all the carpets and all the tile floor done in the house. I expected it would take at least 4-5 hrs especially when only one person showed up, We asked why only one person since last time there were 2 since their advertising states they will move some furniture I would have thought 2 people. The guy that came could not answer the question, he said I can call my supervisor, I asked him if he was OK with the job alone he said yes. He didn't move a single piece of furniture, he neglected to get into the edges of the carpet, in one area there were some cords on the floor, he didn't even pick up the cords he just went around them. He was in and out in 3 hours, of course, he said there is a added charge for the master bathroom, because the toilet is a separate area of the bathroom, a 2 x 3 little cubby, he said it would be extra $40, then he said the guest bath would be extra, again 3x4 feet, right off the tile from the entrance, another $40, by the time he was done it added another $150 to my already $425 bill, they just nickle and dime you and not one thing was moved, these peole are thieves and crooks, their reputation stinks, and I will post on every social meadia warning people not to ever use them. If I wouldn't have already been planning this for weeks, emptied everything from the house, traumatized my cats locked in the garage, I would have told the guy to get the hell out. I was courting the Costco carpet lady and my quote came in very high so I thought just maybe these old carpets have some life left... Stanley Steemer (Chris and Trevor) came in and made my floors new. I was so pleased with the work and they were nice hard working guys. The price is unbeatable for the amount of work. They moved all the little stuff and I just watched them work. ,,, with all the effort I forgot to mention some space behind a bed and when I called they came right back and cleaned it for free the next day.
