This Starbucks chain has a lot of potential, especially the location is very convenient. I came in at 2 pm. There were 3 staff working behind the counter. However, service was very slow. That it took me at least 15 minutes to get my drink, and they made it wrong. Management please provide more training for faster service and reading the label carefully while preparing the drinks. I'm not happy here anymore ! The prices are higher than other Starbucks and it's very strange! The staff is overworked ; there is no drive-thru at this location so the line is practically out the door every time I come. There is a hotel next door which explains that, however. The cleanliness has taken a hit since the store is always packed to the brim with people; even though staff is obviously doing there best. Limited outlets; decent WiFi. The baristas here are such pleasant people and service is always swift and painless. This morning's green tea latte was perfectly potent, not too watery nor too overwhelmingly heavy. The one gripe I have about this place is that I can NEVER snag a seat near an outlet! I wouldn't recommend studying or doing work here as this Starbucks is too tiny to accommodate everyone who wants a seat and chances of getting a table are pretty slim. I've noticed that most people seem to tend to only come for to-go orders here. Fortunately the Arcadia Public Library is relatively close by - grab a (lidded) coffee to-go and get your work and studying done there instead! This is one of the better Starbucks in Arcadia. Female cashier greeted me when entering the store. Staff was quick and accurate with my order. Male barista who gave me my drink was also friendly. They were all properly masked. Interiors and exteriors need a bit of cleaning and touch up to make it more pleasant. I'm not a fan of this particular Starbucks location, but since it's close to my work I've been coming here regularly since 2011. The parking lot is cramped and there's never anywhere to sit. There are a few tables both inside and outside as well as some bar stools by the window inside. The old layout was horrible and the line was usually out to the door, but now that they've remodeled, the line flows better. The only small problem I still have with the layout during busy times is that after you've paid and are waiting for your order, there's no where to stand to wait for it when it's crowded inside. I guess you could stand by the counter where the sugar and napkins are (then people will ask you if you are in line) or by the window where the stools are (then you feel like you are invading someone's personal space). HAH... oh well. Anyway, since my friends at work like to walk here, they'll usually ask me if I want anything or I'll just take a stroll with them here. Occasionally, I'll get the yogurt blueberry muffin, breakfast sandwich, or a Mocha Frappaccino or something. Again, nothing special about this Starbucks... coffee is okay and a bit pricey. Their staff is friendly and knows some of my coworkers by name. I know a few people who get one everyday and I can't imagine spending $25+ a week on just a cup of coffee. After the recent remodel this place is totally... Not great. The staff is friendly and courteous, drinks are made well, and it's close to my work and paths of travel around Arcadia. But the entire experience of purchasing coffee here elicits the same emotional response as visiting the home of your high school girl friend's parents. Let's start with parking. I drive a big truck, but even if I drove a Fiesta, parking would be tough here. The small lot with no right angles and several sharp turns requiring non-ballistic motion is often unnerving with clueless drivers who don't bother with trifles like signaling and mirror use. Street parking is a better bet, but not for availability-- just less likely to get backed into. Once inside the Starbucks, the line queue-- even with the remodel-- is still counterintuitive. I'm never sure where to stand while waiting for my drink either, so I usually go stand too close to someone and invade his or her personal space. Claustrophobia much? This place is small. Patrons look at me like I should've taken off my shoes for entering their home, the way they cling to the limited number of tables and chairs like Malibu beachfront real estate. There's a much more convenient Starbucks a couple blocks down on Huntington in Monrovia. Same fare, no nightmare. If I have an extra three minutes, this is always an easy pass. read more

They have free wifi, about 15 seats indoors with some outdoor seating, single bathroom, plenty of outlets (because we're all constantly on our phones), and friendly helpful baristas. I came in to study and ordered iced black tea. I knocked back 4! The barista was very cool and made them without giving me the impression I was being annoying for asking for more. If you're a gold rewards member you get free refills on brewed teas. I took full advantage of that. The store was clean and the ambience is relaxing. However, this place can't even meet the bare minimum: Drop cup on the floor, don't call when order is ready; let drinks stood at the counters and the ice is melting. Busy busy busy! This location is always busy! I took off one star because of the fact that they have an awkward layout and insufficient tables & chairs. Students/people who need to do work/study have options for plugs etc but one whole side of the store is just glass and theres not an outlet to be seen! Not my favorite Starbucks. I m a frequent Starbucks customer (gold card, ise the app weekly etc). I go to various Starbucks near my work, home, near bf's work and family residences. Today I visited this Starbucks using my app. However, prior to coming in the door, I decided i wanted to order a second drink for my daughter. The Male barista with curly hair addressed me after I entered from the right hand side of the barrier in front of the register. He looked impatient and asked could he help me. I said "yes, venti iced green tea please." He pointed to the pick up area and said he would put my drink over there. I told him "but I haven't ordered it, yet". I was puzzled as to why he wouldn't take my order or thought I had already ordered. I looked around and noticed a tall man entering the barrier from the left side. The barista then indicated that I was not first in line.. I looked to my left and thought it looks like I am. I was standing in front of the register and the man was standing behind me to the left. I looked at the barista and indicated my position. He said nothing but ignored me waiting for the man to order. I said nothing further, not wanting to argue that clearly if the barista thought I was not first why did he address me first? I walked away retrieving my mobile order on the way out. This was probably the most disrespectful in identifying I have experienced at any Starbucks ever. I can safely say there are locations where baristas not only recognize me but know my favorite drinks. I can say every Starbucks not matter how busy they are has always treated me fairly. Today this was not the case. I was insulted. I am a grown woman of color and with no other apparent reason this barista today displayed preferential treatment toward a white man over me. I am not a young person , I am a 51 year old elementary teacher. I do not deserve such treatment. read more

2018: I'm a frequent customer of starbucks all over (US & International). This is 1 of the filthiest Starbucks I've ever visited. The bathroom is DISGUSTING. There is rust coming down the wall under the sink, hair in the sink, filth on the floor. If the bathroom is this bad should we trust behind the counter? Every morning before work I stop by this lovely Starbucks location! All I have to say is the staff is amazing! They are super sweet! The drinks they make are perfect as well! Since fall drinks are out, I'm obsessed with the pumpkin spice latte, and they make it perfect! One time they accidentally put in whip cream and they remade the whole drink for me when they didn't have to and they let me keep the original one so I gave it to my coworker! I love the way the employees interact with the customers as if everyone is friends! The comfort they give me is worth it all! This is my go to Starbucks when I'm at work since its 25 minutes from my house by only 2 minutes away from work! I am here almost every morning getting my tasty drink and I love it!! This Starbucks location doesn't have the best parking since it shares the plaza lot with other businesses like Sesame Grill, Maki & Sushi and Leslie's Pool Supplies. The Starbucks is in the very corner and so don't expect to get a close parking, especially if you come during busier times. Anyways, this Starbucks is clean and has a handful of tables and chairs inside. There are also a few tables outside as well. But I hate it that most of the time people sitting outside are smoking up a storm like a chimney when I come. And like all Starbucks Coffee locations, this place offers free wifi and it's actually pretty quick. Customer service is pretty standard here and all of my drinks that I have gotten here so far have been pretty consistent with the other Starbucks that I have been to. I've now decided to go to a different SB after my 5th visit here. I don't mind the limited parking situation. The staff for the most part seem nice and friendly. There's a barista who's very Amy Adams-esque there and is very nice. However.... some of the other baristas can't seem to get my orders right... and they usually consist of 1-2 drinks. No, it's not a complicated drink with 7 different nuances/customizations (it's a coffee for god's sake, not a beamer). I just wanted my usual iced coffee = light ice & black. Yes, the drink practically should pour itself, but I've been getting my iced coffees with ice filled to the top despite it being marked "lite ice." I guess I did get "lite ice" in written expression on the cup and not literally in the cup. I also tried to redeem the $2 after 2pm on the same day and they charged me regular price when my grande iced coffee should have qualified for it, but that's what I get for not asking for a receipt. They even tore up my old receipt from the morning since I "redeemed" my treat receipt. LOL... So much for the incentive.....I know it's not a big amount, but it's about the principle especially since I was visiting them every day throughout the work week. Clean place, seemingly nice people, but I'll pass. I like to go to places that can get my simple drink right and honor their promos!
