A few days ago, the new Starbucks opened in Downtown Summerlin adjacent to the new Whole Foods store. I decided to check it out today. I did my order on the Starbucks app. It was a short drive as this new store is only 1/4 mile from home--walking distance if I wanted to. The parking lot was very crowded. As it is adjacent to the new Whole Foods, and it was Sunday, parking was almost full. There are reserved spots for EV vehicles and there are some charging stations for parking. After finding a spot, I went in. The entarnce is on the partking lot side of the building toward the left rear. There was a line to order. The app proved valuable. In a short time, my name was called and I left with my iced espresso. Many of the seats were used in the large seating area. The newness will wear off and it will be a quick stop on my way home. There is a drive thru for those who like to sit in lines. Welcome to the neighborhood!

What a nice location! Not sure when this opened but it's so new and spacious, even has some outdoor seating & plenty of parking. The store inside is so clean and the staff are very friendly. I ordered 4 drinks and they were made so fast! I was surprised given how busy it was inside. Great team work executing the drink orders quickly!

Attitude, roller head and eyes I had to ask her not to be so we're doing that

This Starbucks is the closest location to Summerlin Hospital, and as someone who works in the medical field -- saving lives, dealing with emergencies, and facing unimaginable stress every single day -- my small daily joy is simply getting my usual coffee made correctly. It may sound simple, but when you work in a world where people are dying and families are breaking, that six-dollar drink means more than people realize. To put this in perspective: I order the same drink every day, five days a week -- a tall mocha, no room, light whip, light foam. That adds up fast. Around $30 a week, roughly $900 a month, and over $10,000 a year spent on this one Starbucks alone. I say that not to brag, but to show that my money and loyalty are real, and all I'm asking for is a correctly made drink with basic respect. Now, let me be very clear -- most of the staff here is absolutely incredible. There's one girl in particular whose coffee-making skills are phenomenal. She knows who you are the second you pull up to the drive-thru. There's also a young, thin blonde girl who works early mornings who is genuinely one of the sweetest, kindest people I've met in my 53 years. And the tall, skinny guy who works there also wonderful -- polite, pleasant, and consistently friendly. These employees make this location worth coming to, and they truly shine. But unfortunately, not everyone matches that level of professionalism. There is one employee who rolled her eyes and gave visible attitude simply because the coffee was made incorrectly. There was absolutely no reason for that kind of behavior -- it was unprovoked, unnecessary, and honestly disrespectful. If you don't want to deal with customers or can't handle the basics of customer service, then maybe this isn't the right job. Everyone has bad days, and I'm sure she's a nice person at heart, but that kind of attitude doesn't belong in a customer-facing role. I want to emphasize: I still recommend this location. It is one of the cleanest, nicest Starbucks stores I've visited in a long time. The majority of the staff is outstanding and deserves recognition. But customers should be aware that there can occasionally be a little attitude from certain employees. I will update this review with the names of the two amazing girls who always get the order right -- because they deserve the praise. At the end of the day, it's just coffee -- but respect goes a long way.

The first time I tried Markers & Finders was at their original location downtown, and it appears that they've expanded their menu since they opened their second location at Downtown Summerlin. There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor/patio seating at this location. The last time I was here, it was hardly busy, but the service was a bit slow. Their lattes are delicious, especially the Mexican Spiced Latte. I've had the lomo saltado, yucca fries, empanadas, and other dishes I can't think of since I've been going here for years, but I remember them all being delicious. The prices appear high, but overall good food and coffees.

She enjoyed hers, but she said the turmeric flavor was a bit overpowering. My latte was sweeter than I like and I didn't get much of the salted caramel flavor so that was a bit disappointing. For food, she had the MF Sando and I had the coconut turmeric chia pudding. The breakfast sandwich looked great and she enjoyed it. The chia pudding was confusing though. I've ordered it here before and it has never been "green". Looking back at previous Yelp photos, you can see the difference as well. The flavor was off this time too, with an almost dirty taste, which was disappointing. Service was fine, just a little slow. It was pretty busy so that's understandable. They do have a nice outdoor patio with a great ambiance. The outdoor tables have umbrellas for shade. I would come back because I've had good experiences here before, but consistency is important to me, and unfortunately this visit really missed the mark.

Food/Drinks: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5…read moreAmbiance: 3/5 I was in the Downtown Summerlin area looking for some place to get work done. I saw this cafe and decided to check it out. There is lot parking within walking distance or you can find parking on the street for 2 hours max. People are coming and going so I lucked out with finding parking on the street that's about a 2-3 minute walk to the coffee shop. First glance, this place is extremely busy. Very difficult to secure seating on a table both inside and outside. I like the naturally lighting that came through. The tiered seating on the wall is interesting and definitely could be more cozy for people. Ordered a Honeysuckle Latte. I like my coffee on the sweeter side and this was perfect for me. The "for here" glass it came in was super cute too. I also ordered a Croissant Bacon Egg which looked and tasted pretty basic but was still good to eat. Service was ok. I feel like baristas could have been friendlier. I tried to return my dish to clear my space and a barista pointed to where I was supposed to return it and there was about 5 people crowding the area, hence why I decided to hand it to her. She finally took it from me. I enjoyed my coffee but I am not sure that I would come back here again to hangout. I would come again to take my coffee to-go. Due to the limited space and service, I do not see myself coming back to chill in this space.

Food options are pretty nice as well...a healthy amount of food options for lunch or breakfast or snack. Pesto turkey sandwich superb...great mix of items and good quality portion. One thing I loved... I added avocado and got a huge serving of avocado on both sandwiches. No, quarter of an avocado for 5 dollar bullshit like at so many places... you get a very large double set of avocado slices for your money, which is very important. Doesn't make me feel cheated or nickel and dimed with the quality and size of the portion, even though it isn't exactly cheap. Overall, good food and pastries, good quality coffee, very good quality food and excellent portion size for your money. Staff have always been pleasant. I actually did consider leaving my car at La Strega and walking over to Better Days, but it was just too hot and muggy to do so. I'm no stranger to Summerlin, with the occasional visit here and there, but I've never seen or heard of this place. This is a cute little hole in the wall coffee shop just off the 215 freeway at Town Center in Summerlin. They had their March menu on display in the very front, and my eye immediately caught their Lucky Charms Matcha Latte. I don't eat cereal at all, but I was interested in this drink and asked for the basics on it. This latte has made from scratch Irish cream syrup, your choice of milk, marshmallow cloud, and topped with Lucky Charms marshmallows, but without the crunchy cereal part. This drink tasted like and had the texture exactly like St. Patrick's Day. It was amazing! March is almost over, so catch this drink and all their other March drinks on hand when you still can. Their other March drink they have available is called Luck of the Irish Latte. It has similar ingredients to the Lucky Charms Matcha Latte, only it has espresso and no Lucky Charms marshmallows on top. If you're ever in Summerlin, come check out Better Days. Yes, they are a hidden gem, but they have great drinks, seasonal and year long.

Think cappuccinos made the proper way, rich espresso drinks, and smooth lattes finished with beautiful art. As someone who proudly considers Peet's Coffee my personal version of Starbucks, this one hurt a little. Coming from the Bay Area roots of Berkeley and countless great experiences in Silicon Valley, I've always associated Peet's with rich flavor, quality drinks, and genuinely warm, down-to-earth people. It's been my go-to, my comfort cup, my "this is how coffee should taste" standard. ...which is why my visit to the Sahara location completely caught me off guard. Let's set the scene: I walk in, ready for my usual vanilla latte fix. The place isn't busy--but somehow I'm standing at the counter for what feels like 2-4 minutes doing the awkward "do they see me?" stare. You know the one. Eventually I'm helped, but the interaction? Cold. No "welcome in," no energy, no suggestions, no "hey, want to try a pastry with that?"--just straight to transaction mode. The cashier (I believe the name was Lee?) felt completely disengaged, even walking away mid-mobile payment like the scene had wrapped before the movie was over. And then...the drink. I requested specific milk and light foam--nothing wild, just a simple customization. What I got was the opposite. Not once, but enough to make me go back and ask for a remake... which is always a little awkward when the shop isn't even busy. At that point, it's not about the latte anymore--it's about the experience. No "thank you," no "your drink will be ready shortly," none of the small but important touches that make a coffee run feel...human. And that's the part that surprised me most. Because Peet's, at its best, is very human. Unfortunately, this visit shifted my routine. Now when I'm in the Summerlin area and need a reliable cup, I find myself heading elsewhere instead. Final thoughts: I still believe in Peet's as a brand--that hasn't changed. But this location? It missed the mark on both service and execution. Note to management: Please bring back the heart of what makes Peet's special--friendly people who actually enjoy being part of someone's daily coffee ritual. Because great coffee gets you in the door... but great service is what keeps us coming back.
