I gave this place four stars because I really like this place, I come here all the time. On Thursday April 4th, around 6:30 am I purchased a grande drink, the guy or barista gave me some weird look and then filled my cup 2/3 making the rest of the 1/3 of the cup all foam. I didn't pay for a tall drink and this guy needs to be taught about giving people what they paid for, maybe some customer service too. He could have been having a bad morning but please don't fill my grande cup a little more than half and fill the other half with foam. read more

The staff here is great - usually very lively and humorous. Only problem is that while it is a larger establishment, it still gets filled fairly quickly. So, if you're looking to stay for a bit to chat or study, you'll have to cross your fingers for an open table. Other than that, its clean, parking is easy, and of course, the drinks are great. Kinda bummed when I pay $5+ for a drink and my cup is only filled 2/3 of the way, even with whipped cream. There was another instance a while ago when I was here and another barista making my drink slammed it onto the counter when it was done and spilled it runny all over the sides, no apology or cleanup. Come on, guys. In both instances, it wasn't even busy. Starbucks is Starbucks, and I usually have little to no complaints--but the ones I do have are for this location. Parking is easy, it's close to my bank and Target, plenty of outside seating, but best of all the baristas are all really nice and FAST at this location. And the drinks are always good. I could do without the kids in there after school but what can you do? Also there's never seating inside because it's always taken up by CSULB peeps studying but I was one of them once so it's all good. read more

The fruit cups were not fresh. The strawberries were starting to turn to liquid. You know how strawberries do that weird sweaty thing when they're going bad? This place is too small for the volume of people that come in here. There is nowhere to wait comfortably while they prepare your order. This place is kind of a mess. Every time I come by here the service is pretty friendly like most Starbucks or coffee shops. Today I was really impressed by their customer service though because I normally get a Green Tea Frapp and I noticed it tasted sweeter than usual and the color was slightly lighter. So after debating with my friend if I should mention it to the barista and get it adjusted or if I was just being crazy about it. I decided to just ask because I'm really anal about my drinks being exactly to my liking because I work at a tea bar so I'm pretty picky and if it's not right I won't drink it. Lol they were really nice about remaking my drink and I really appreciate them doing it free of charge. I didn't get any attitude or any negative sentiments that it was an inconvenience for them even though they looked like try were going through a bit of a rush at the time. The barista and cashier were really friendly and really eager to adjust my drink to how I wanted it. I really appreciate that kind of customer service so much that I had to yelp about it because I normally never write reviews haha but you people today at Starbucks made my day. I'm in my 4th year at CSULB and this is always my favorite Starbucks to go to. My roommate and I will go out of our way just to go to this location. The staff is always so friendly and nice and will do anything to make your drink perfect. Chance, one of the guys that works there, is the best! He willingly offered to make my roommate a new drink when he noticed from afar she didn't like the new drink she ordered, and he once gave me a complimentary one. TIP RIGHT THERE! I'm pretty sure the entire staff recognizes us and probably knows us by name, since that is how often we go. Shout-out to Chance!!! Best worker there. read more

Glacial. That describes the service. Slow is the only speed they know. They sometimes do not call out your name when your drink is ready. They don't listen to directions. The only staff with any energy is one of the lady cashiers with an English (?) accent. Don't go to this store if you aren't prepared for a wait or you have a short fuse. read more
