I pop in from time to time and this location always has the best customer service. I find that most of the employees really go out of their way to be kind and welcoming. Today Izzy provided me with excellent customer service. She went above and beyond to assist me and she was able to answer my questions questions about the different coffee options in a clear manner. Also, parking in this particular plaza is a nightmare, but they do offer a 10 minute free parking spot for pick up! The person on the intercom was very rude and rushing us after we asked what kind of hot teas they had. Kept interrupting us and asked us random questions like if we were gonna get any food and if we wanted iced teas when we specifically asked for hot tea. I believe his name was Justin. Trust me, I know all the Starbucks in this town and this is the most cleanest and they have the best staff here! I'm always welcome in and smiled at here. Starbucks closed four stores that I frequented...And kept two open that are working either ineffectively or poorly. The drive throughs seem to be staffed by people with ADD. I don't fault them as they have a lot of chaos behind the counter in particular at the store on Sawtelle and National. I finally complained about my orders always being messed up and was given some free items. That is not the issue. I would just like my tea with all of its ingredients as ordered not with two things missing, for example. But I have seen how professional and efficient a wonderfully run store was at the Sepulveda and National location. That store was closed. No notice, no time to say goodbye to their fabulous employees who greeted me and my partner every day. So will I continue with the store where I receive terrible service now? I think not. I will have to go out of my way to get a Starbucks experience like the one I miss. Are the employees suffering with all the stores closing? No doubt. I wish them the best of luck. Ciao for now. Therefore, I spent years and tried different coffee at Starbucks but I couldn't find it. Until 2 years ago, I found this taste again and I also realize it names. Charlie and Christine make this drink pretty well because they use the right amount of ice and milk so it is not watery. As a result, I can taste its balance deep texture of the drink. This Starbucks is an oasis in a crazy part of town. Really clean, spacious, brightly lit, and plenty of seating. Also, the staff are genuinely nice and polite. The employees have always been very nice and helpful. Their merchandise collection is also pretty robust if you're interested in that. They don't give out straws or ask you if you want straws anymore so make sure you ask for a straw if you want one. read more

This is normally my go-to Starbucks where I order multiple drinks per week. It's nice, clean, and generally I've experienced friendly encounters with staff. I almost always order on the app and just pick up, so contact and interactions are generally limited. But that was not the case this morning. I had a barista snap at me this morning and when I explained the situation to her, she just doubled down. I'm not going to describe her or explain what happened here as to not get her in trouble since she was maybe just having a bad day. Anyways, I'm putting this location on timeout for awhile. I'll spend my money somewhere else where I'm not treated the way I was this morning. Maybe if management puts their employees on notice and things improve, I'll come back again next year. With so many great barista coffee spots, it is now rare for me to go to Starbucks but I am still a fan of their Upside Down Caramel Macchiato. My GF just had an unacceptable experience at this Starbucks around 11:30AM, Thursday 8/18/22. She walked in and ordered a Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Espresso. First, she wanted a Venti. But was told they were out of Venti and Grande size cups. REALLY? At 11:30 in the morning, y'all are out of the 2 biggest size cups? Ok fine, let's move on. A dude with glasses and dark curly hair started making the drink. But things quickly went off the rails when a friend of the employee walked in. *WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF MAKING OUR DRINK*, he proceeds to walk away from the drink and goes over and starts fraternizing with his buddy, while completely forgetting about the drink he was working on! To make matters worse, the other female employee actually walks over to them and starts shooting the sh*t with them! This is actually unbelievable. They proceeded to talk amongst themselves for several minutes, while completely ignoring my GF who is just standing there waiting for one simple drink! What kind of customer service is this? If the employees insist on fraternizing at work, they should do that on their OWN TIME, not when a paying customer is patiently waiting! My Gf, not wanting to be rude or cause a scene, walked over to their field of vision, hoping that they'll realize, there's a customer waiting. But nope! Not even one glance toward her from the employees. Just continuation of their conversation which was SOOO important that it couldn't wait. To make matters worse, they end their convo and all say their goodbyes and shaking hands, he finishes making the drink but half-asses it. Now the finished drink she received is MOSTLY OAT MILK (which he poured freehand, probably added way more than the recipe calls for) with not much coffee! And remember, this is the smallest size cup so proportions of the ingredients matter more!! This drink is the only drink my GF gets at Starbucks, we are aware of the color the finished drink should be. The drink we received was NOT the same color. It was more milky white! So while this dude is taking his sweet time kicking it with his buddy, we're having to wait for this drink that turned out to be disgusting. So in the end, we wasted 10 minutes, couldn't even get the size we wanted, and ended up leaving with a watered down Oat Milk concoction that we did not want! WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE Y'ALL got over there? Managers, please take note. This is absolutely unacceptable. We will never go back to this location again. read more

What a find! This location is decorated very nicely and it's quite spacious. I have not seen a nicer starbucks in the area. This is probably the worst customer service at Starbucks I have ever experienced. This isn't the first time in this location , but this is a bit concerning. The cashier this young gal, ringed up a couple in front of me, and after that she turned around and walked away without any words and started a conversation with another employee at the barista area. She seemed very happy and comfortable talking to them. About 3 to 4 minutes went by, and she started walking back towards the register, but she looked very serious almost upset. She stands in front of the register, puts her to fists down on the counter, and without a single word she just stares at me. It was an awkward 5 to 10 seconds and finally I decided to greet her and I said...Hi! How are you doing today...she just looked at me and responded "I'm ok"... I said, seems to me that you're not having a good day right? And she just moved her head from side to side. I ordered and I paid for my coffee and I said to her...I hope your day gets better, and honestly at that moment I truly thought she was having some personal issues because unless it's really bad, you may have that type of attitude. My order took a good 10 minutes and while waiting for it, I observed that she was having some very animated conversations with her co-workers and she had this big smile all the time, and then I realized that she wasn't having a bad day after all, and I was just another annoying customer to her. read more

This is a very cool Starbucks location with a pretty great outdoor patio with lots of seating in the back. Everyone who works there have always been very nice to me and my drinks tasted just right.
