Iced comfort wellness tea (Custom order)
    Karen W.

This Starbucks wasn't too busy when I got here. It was a sweltering high of 112 that day, and I really needed something to cool off after walking around. I also wanted some sort of herbal tea. Looking at the menu, the comfort wellness tea looked intriguing but it's usually served hot. The barista was kind enough to make an iced version which was refreshing and very comforting at the same time! I liked the blend of different herbs and spices together. For your reference this tea has: Ginger, orange peel, chamomile, lemon verbena, spearmint, rooibos, licorice root, fennel, peppermint, orange oil, lemon essence oil Seating was plentiful and comfy. There are tables, soft leather chairs with ottomans, and the vibe was relaxed. Overall it was a nice little place to get a drink and chill for a bit.

Luis and all of my barista buddies are always the best Good Mornings before work! The are such an awesome team.

As of my last visit a few days ago, I was able to sit inside in the nice, designer chairs. This is a top 5 Starbucks for me in Phoenix. Highly recommended.

How they inform ppl of their new hours

The experience with this store alone makes me never want to go back to a Starbucks. I have never had a good experience coming to this Starbucks (but have had good experiences with other locations). They change their hours what seems like daily. They posted a paper sign on their door with their new hours of 1230-7pm, when it says they are open on yelp/Apple Maps/google. The staff here is inexperienced and always makes my drink wrong. You have been warned!! Do not go to this Starbucks.

    Enjoying the Crème Brulee

One of our favorite Starbucks. The staff & place is great. Love their crème brûlée.. it is a very clean place, you could sit inside

How they gave it to me - no sips taken... nearly half empty with the amount of ice they crammed in there

Ordered a Venti Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso and cold brew via the app. After driving away I looked at my Venti Brown Sugar drink and it's nearly empty... you can see from the photo they didn't fill it completely AND there is soooo much ice I basically just paid $6 for a tall... personally, paying $6 for a drink is a special treat for me and I don't do it often so this was a real bummer. DO BETTER!

Eight chairs like this with cool reading lights!

Huge interior with lots of seating. Love the big comfy chairs (all eight of them) with the reading lights. Currently, the best selection of Starbucks drinkware that is on sale (after Christmas) that I've seen anywhere in the area. However, when I asked what the size of a particular copper-looking mug was, the cashier had no clue. He did call over the barista who made an educated guess. Usually the bottom gives the size, but no luck on this particular mug. Usual drink choices here, but sadly all the red cups are gone until next year.

When searching for a coffee shop that serves reliably good coffee that suits your palette, sometimes one simply has to rely on the best. After checking out the list of coffee shops in the area, we couldn't find a local coffee shop that specialized in coffee. So we decided to hit the local Starbucks as we knew we would get what we expected-great coffee, great flavor and a guarantee that if it wasn't what we ordered they would remake it for us. We were not disappointed. The coffee here was the usual high standard that one expects from the number one coffee chain in the world! Every Starbucks store has its own unique ambiance and this one had a bit of everything to choose from. It had comfortable chairs, work tables, a large central meeting table, stools and high tables and outside seating as well. Thanks, Starbucks!

My order for Green Tea Matcha Latte. Being charged for a Green Tea bag.
    Edwin N.

The reason why this Starbucks is getting a huge fat zero is because the lady who took my order. I didn't get her name from the driver through. but if I did I would push you under the bus (metaphorically saying) I simply ordered from the Drive Through. My order: Green Tea Matcha latte (without sugar and Milk) By the time we got to the window! I asked again and reassured that she got my order right. Stating my order Green Tea Matcha Latte with no sugar and milk. And that the price should be lower because I order a Green Tea with Matcha Latte (No sugar and No Milk) Only the Hot water with Green Tea Matcha Powder. She hand me over my cup with "Green Tea Bag" which she don't get my order right. I took it as insult. And repeatedly told that the price should be readjusted and I order My Green Tea Matcha latte with No sugar and No milk with Only Hot Water. In couple of minutes passing, I'm breathing, going into Zen Mode because I need my Green Tea Matcha Latte with (No Sugar and No Milk) Yet she didn't readjusted the price so I'm paying for $2.45 for the Green Tea Bag And the Hard labor of think skills and a brand paper cup. I wanted my driver to find a parking spot so I can get this price fixed. But I had to be somewhere else, and I'm not going let this First World Problems Ruin my whole day. And In all the Starbucks I go to...always make the readjustment to the price. To total 0.87 cents only paying for the Green Tea With Matcha powder and Hot Water. Please remember my face and get my order right please. Thank you for reminding me not to get upset over (No milk and No Sugar) lol. Have a nice day.

There is also a pastry that contains sausage. Their Croissant is 230 calories, a real flavor bargain. The more robust Almond Croissant is 470-480 calories. I had never been here before so was happily surprised that it was a serve yourself situation -- I always feel so much pressure to select something when you have to get it from the server behind a case. So when you walk in you grab your tray or to go container and some tongs and then you can meander around a look at the goods before making your selection which you then get yourself. Everything looked so good I was practically drooling! After making my selection of an almond croissant and a coffee cronut I made my way up to the counter. I also ordered a korean iced milk coffee -- no idea what it was but sounded good! I took everything to go and when I got home I jumped right into the croissant -- it was almost as hard a rock! It tasted good but it also tasted a day old, which was very very disappointing! The coffee cronut was good too -- it had many layers and was very rich. The coffee cream on it was average -- just basically didn't taste as good as it looked. Unfortunately I can never get those calories back, LOL. The Korean iced milk coffee was good but honestly couldn't taste a difference from regular coffee. Overall the presentation was top notch but the actual tasting experience was less than average. Don't know how much I would go out of my way to come back -- unless I wanted to try one of their cakes.

Alright, then. Good cup and saucer. Amen. Then asked about stirrers. Told to use a plastic spoon. Please tell me if anyone in France would ever stir a real hot coffee in a proper cup and saucer with a plastic utensil. Anyone? Right. Please offer wooden stirrers to guests and bonus points for a real spoon for those of us who don't want a paper cup. It really makes a difference. It would be criminal to use plastic. The (Sort Of) Almond Croissant An almond croissant is the secret test. It's like tasting vanilla at an ice cream store. Forget the others. This is the litmus. But before we talk almond, I had to do a double take on the receipt that thankfully I emailed myself. Because is this in Soho? West Hollywood? The Bay? How did this turn out to be $14? Because the almond croissant is $7. Say again. Never mind the best croissant spot in the West Village is less than that, but I took a bite, and oh my. I almost got up and said something. But I really was not in the mood. I had other things to attend to. Where do I start. Well, there was barely an almond to speak of. Hint of almond. The paste was like a disappearing act. But that I can handle. It was the texture. It was hard. Tasted old. Bland. Forgotten. Like someone forgot about the almonds, forgot them in the car. It was July 4th, and they remembered. I've had better croissants at airports. Ok, in the EU but you get the point. Did I just choose the wrong pastry, or the wrong day? They all looked pretty. Everyone got the berry thing. The Table My table was wobbly. Not awful but enough to be annoying. Between that and my phantom $7 almond croissant. The one left behind before someone remembered the almonds. That one. Can anyone use one of its cousins to hold up this table and fix this wobble? Might have been a better idea than breakfast. The Restroom Ok, cute idea to have a kitchen utensil as the restroom key. Nifty thought. Here's another. Can the liquid dispenser for soap be repaired or replaced? That too is wobbly and broken. You see the theme here. And dry hands. The (Bare) Display Case I had read about sandwiches. I love me an egg salad. The display case was bare. Maybe M-F? Lots of (plastic) pellegrinos. No Perrier or other sparkling in a real glass bottle. And definitely no Orangina. The Plants The plastic plants on each table. For the outdoors, sure. For an indoor French cafe table with $7 croissants, not so much. The theme again. The Staff They seemed stressed. I don't know why. When I ordered I felt more tension and rushed then a my corner pizza shop in NY. I don't get it. They tried though. Like it feels serious. High stakes. No smiles. All three not one smile. An Encore? Maybe. Overall, maybe. I don't know if I chose the wrong pastry and the wrong day. Could it be that. The Bread The bread looked good. I will give it that. And more expensive than my local bakery in NY. My Orwashers loaf purchased weekly is $12. And the slice it. And bigger. And they smile. But maybe if the bread is good, I am happy. It's hard to find good bread in Phoenix let alone this area. The Menu Please have it displayed somewhere with prices. Think that's a professional courtesy. I went online to see the menu from my phone. Or even a code to link. But something. A strange visit. Quite different than expected. I had hoped. Now I don't know. If anyone of the items mentioned are addressed for the next visit, whether the wobbly table, wooden stirrer or real spoon, or restroom soap, or even better a smile, or an almond more, I'd be vastly delighted. I'd love for this to work. There is time.

This year, I've visited after work with coworkers and after work alone to get more work done. Despite the limited parking out front, there is free curbside parking beside and behind the coffee shop adjacent to the nearby businesses and residential area. There is ample space inside with various types of seating and ample charging and free wifi. The front area has window counter space and couches/love seats to lounge. The back area has small tables, large tables, desks with lamps, and a love seat. My only complaint is that this large area gets pretty hot in summer afternoons without adequate AC or fans back here. It was like this last year when I previously attended the evening coffee raves. Both times upon visiting recently in daytime, I ordered the Dark Horse latte, comprised of dark maple syrup, smoked sea salt, espresso, milk. I love this latte because it's sweet but also has depth from the smokiness and saltiness. While I think the coffee is on the pricier side, I'm incredibly satisfied with my drink choice regardless. Overall limited specialty drink menu (which is what I usually care about when exploring coffee shops) but many options in general. Seems like people mostly come here to be on their laptops opposed to socializing here, which I appreciate. This is an incredible spot to work, especially since they close later in the day at 6pm, offer free wifi, ample seating, ample charging.
