The dining room is very attractive. However, this steakhouse is not on the same level as establishments like Perry's or Del Frisco. July 2023 Monday Happy hour, to try it out. Valet is $5. You can pull right up to the venue (out of the Main Street and into the little area strictly for STK) to park. Very empty on a Monday. We were seated immediately. We had a reservation but sincerely didn't need one. Ample seating. Server came out and offered us water : bottled sparkling, bottle Fiji, or tap. Let's be clear, sparking is $9 a bottle. I'm sure Fuji is similar. I'm assuming tap is what you'd get if you ordered water elsewhere. Tap may be free. Not sure. Happy hour = small plates. The server told us what's on the HH menu is smaller portions than what you'd get when dining in after HH. Wagyu meatballs : $6 ehh wouldn't re-order. Basic 2/5. (Would rather go to a baby shower :) Short rib quesadilla : $6 ehh wouldn't reorder. 3/5 Japanese A5 Wagyu taco: $9 pitiful. One small taco. 2/5. Maybe a 1/5. Definitely a rip off for the price point. Would never reorder. Little shroom cheeseburger + truffle fry: $6. One small slider and 4 stacked French fries. Lol. 4/5 because I was surprised mushroom could be that good. May reorder. No beef. It still wasn't good good, but surprisingly flavorful to be what it was (this is why it's a 4/5), and I didn't even know it wasn't beef until afterwards. But it didn't taste like a burger- but still surprisingly flavorful for what it was. Would I go back? Yes. But trying different appetizers and drinks. Whatever that graham cracker drink is in the martini glass (strawberry cobbler) I'm getting next time. I'll come back on a Thursday or Friday. My husband and I went to STK sometime in 2023, and let me tell you, to this day we still reference that damn STK dry-aged steak. Fast forward to hours after he ate the steak... a little gas poof came out to haunt us. It was my husband's homage to the STK steak. When we finally pushed her that folks wanted coffee she brought them out one cup at a time. They had no Hot Tea, no unsweetened tea...folks we were there for BREAKFAST....no Tea available?????? The "chef" refused to simply make us some eggs even though we were the only table occupied in the entire restaurant. And the food we did order, the presentation was beautiful but the food was TERRIBLE. NEVER AGAIN at this place NEVER. Very high priced for the level of service you get. We went for a special dinner and thought we were going to get high end steakhouse- that is not what we got. The food was good BUT our waitress was very inattentive. We had to keep finding her and reminding her of every little thing- we need more drinks, we want more bread, we are missing this off of our dinner, we want another drink, we would like to order something more... it was very irritating considering how expensive this place is. Online it says they have a dress code- they do not. There were people dressed in a wife beater and short jean shorts like this was an outdoor bar. The music was wild club music which was very loud. We drove to Dallas from Fort Worth to eat here, never again. I have never experienced anything like this at a place with this price point. We are from Jacksonville Florida and I just moved to this area a year ago. We are originally from Los Angeles. We have done a lot of traveling and been to a lot of steak houses and this wasn't even on the level of Outback. My team and I were in town for a conference and decided to come here for dinner. I thought it would be a nice treat for our last night in Dallas. I made reservations in advance and we were seated quickly. As we walked to table, I noticed the variety of artwork, neon signs, purple lighting, ceiling decor, trees in between tables with decorations, etc...everything was so beautiful! The staff was amazing! Our server, Nick, was great!! Very attentive and friendly. He even made sure we were able to order our drinks quickly enough to get the HH prices. We all wanted to try a variety of food and sides since everything looked so good at our other tables, so Nick suggested that we get "the board". That way we could all try many different items. He asked what our price point was and what we definitely wanted to try, but most importantly to trust that he would make it great. We trusted Nick and when the board came out, it looked AHH-MAZING!! Everything tasted so good. He even included a few sides and we all left very satisfied, and completely FULL! Nick also shared that the Dallas Mavericks would be there later in the evening. He said STK would be hosting a party with free drinks and apps in the front and we were more than welcome to stay. We stayed to have a shot and take a group picture. It was such a fun vibe. **Sigh** I should have suggested another place for happy hour after reading "I've seen this place on my TL" and "I couldn't wait to get a pic" in so many reviews but my friends insisted. Foodwise, the oysters tasted like they were fresh from the ocean, very good (though a little undersized) Now for the negatives. After being seated, the 1st thing out of our waiter's mouth was that he has to put in our food order all at once. Ok, weird. We were planning to order happy hour apps and maybe stay for dinner, but ok. His energy was very "I'm annoyed with you, please hurry up". Very different from the friendly banter he had with the blonde couple across from us, but ok. So we get our apps, everything is just OK. Standard "new American" restaurant fare- sliders, truffle fries, calamari, etc. Nothing was bad, but nothing really great either. Then we had another member of our party arrive late and she was rudely told that our party only had 30 minutes left. All she asked was to be directed to our table. One of the managers, Cheyenne, later apologized but the interaction was unexpected and unpleasant to say the least. All of that hassle for some mediocre food? Not worth it. If you are looking for a pretty place to eat with timed dining, this is your place. If you are looking for a quality dining experience, keep it moving. STK passes the vibe check for a nice happy hour on a Friday. I went sharply after 5 and with $10 valet, its a 5-10 minute wait with no prior reservation to get myself seated. Love the interior, art, lights. Our server Yohon and his teammates all served up all my questions and gave recommendations professionally! The signature cocktails for $9 during HH seem to be the whole cocktail menu, I got the Not your Daddys Old Fashion with woodford bourbon. and the strawberry cobbler. Both good. Popcorn chicken is solid. the little brg is kinda like a slider and it comes with some thick thick cut fries. I did not eat it but I heard it was decent. The food was amazing. However it felt like it took forever to get dessert which was a cookie. My boyfriend's steak was overcooked and they took care of it right away. I was upset as the waiter told us about a seafood pasta as a special and when the check came, it was 120 pasta. While it was my fault for not asking, it was totally overpriced. However the lobster in it was probably the best I've ever had. The dragon spire (unsure of the second part of the name) cocktail was amazing. All drinks were nice and smooth. We chose STK for a special holiday dinner, hoping for a premium steakhouse experience, but left thoroughly unimpressed, especially with the glacial pace of service and incredibly slow food preparation time. From the start, attention was lacking; drinks took ages, and our server seemed overwhelmed, despite the restaurant not being busy. Our main courses arrived significantly late, some sides came after we were finished with entrees and some sides never came --unacceptable for the price point. I didn't get to eat my steak because my steak came out more than 2.5 hours after we arrived and I had another event to go to. Another disappointing part was our takeout order placed concurrently: it took over an hour to be ready, with no real explanation. For a supposedly high-end restaurant, this level of inefficiency is a major letdown. We expected impeccable timing and hot, perfectly prepared dishes, but instead received disappointment and wasted time. We won't be returning and hope they address these fundamental service and kitchen timing issues soon. read more

I was in Dallas for a short meeting and wanted to have a very nice Texan steakhouse experience. But who wakes up and has steak at 9 AM in the morning me! So we found that STK has a Saturday and Sunday morning brunch. So my group of four of us decided to try it, and nothing was left to chance. The three of us had the same thing and one person had chicken and waffles. All of us had appetizers and mimosas. What can I say? The meal was perfect one of the fun parts of the meal was the steak coming to your table with a pot of truffle butter the guy took out a blow torch and melted butter over my steak. It melted in my mouth. Next we got birdies in the basket, which is basically an egg inside a brioche bread and the eggs were cooked. Absolutely perfect. My plan is to try STK in Orlando next since I go to Disney quite often and other STK's around America. One warning is that this is not a budget steakhouse. Their pricing is in line with other famous steak houses like Ruth's Chris or capital Grille. read more

I ordered a strawberry based mocktail and my bf ordered a cranberry Hennessy drink called HH Berry Dreams. Both drinks were pretty good. For appetizer we got the calamari. It was crispy and tasty, but I didn't care too much for the sauce. For entree he got the 10oz ribeye with mac and cheese and I got the skirt steak with mashed potatoes. Both meals were enjoyable. Overall, the meal was good, service was OK as well. However, I do think everything was overpriced. All of the above cost over $240 not including tip. My daughter chose this restaurant for her birthday dinner. Our first time there, and it was a Sunday 5pm. They had maybe 4 tables occupied. I had to send my filet mignon back bc it was severely undercooked. I never have to send food back at high end restaurants! A lady, who I'm assuming was the manager, but she did not identify herself, brought my newly cooked fillet to me and asked me to cut it in the center in front of her. It wasn't much better than the first one, but at that point our table had been cleared, so I wasn't about to send it back again. She did not apologize or offer to comp anything. Our server knew it was my daughter's birthday , but did not bring her a dessert or anything, in fact, we were not even offered to order dessert, but maybe that's because they are an order everything at once kitchen.
