    Redfish and shrimp

We had such a wonderful experience at Stoney River Steakhouse! After a completely botched reservation at another restaurant, we decided to drop in here on a busy Saturday night. Even though sitting at the bar wasn't our first choice, we were grateful to be seated immediately--with zero wait! The service was fantastic from start to finish. Nick and I began by sharing the house salad with vinaigrette, and it was easily enough for two. I ordered the Bistro Chicken entrée, which came with two perfectly cooked pieces of chicken, lots of steamed broccoli, and whipped potatoes. Everything was incredible--and I especially appreciated the capers! Nick ordered the redfish and shrimp special, served with rice and green beans, and he absolutely loved it. We both had generous portions and couldn't even finish everything. It was a delightful, unexpected meal, and we're already talking about going back. Highly recommend!

The biggest chop I have ever seen!

Service is always spot on! The dark cherry glaze for the biggest chop I have ever seen was a great choice. Asparagus tender and tasty.

Deviled eggs with candied bacon. Delicious!

Dinner close to downtown Nashville. Stoney River is a great place! Food was amazing. This place is a little pricy, but the portion sizes are worth it. If you like appetizers get the smoked deviled eggs. They are delicious! I also must say the service was impeccable. Our waitress was friendly and on top of drinks and leaning the table. She was very good! All the food delivered to expectations! We had eaten at Stoney River before, just not at this location. We loved the lighting and the feel of the restaurant. Good end to the Holiday weekend! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Stoney River is a dependable chain steak house that i love to stop in from time to time. I enjoy sitting at their comfortable bar during happy hour (M - F 5-7 pm). This is the one place I'll order steak out because it's typically prepared well and at the temp of my choice. Great place if you're craving steak or looking for another happy hour spot. There's free parking in the lot & on the street. Love: steak salad (deviled eggs, candy bacon, herb vinaigrette add ranch - thank me later!), bread (addicting - bet you can't eat just one) Like: service (fine enough)

I want to be super clear. I actually give the benefit to restaurants, because I can appreciate how hard they are to staff, and the exploding food costs. In addition to that, I was with customers, so I expensed this particular meal. Meaning, I don't take it personally about "value or price". Also, even with subpar/okay service, I still tipped 20%. That said, this place missed the mark across the board. Customers ordered New York Strips and Ribeyes. None of our meals, were delivered to the right person. Meaning, we all had to swap plates across the table. It was just odd/not very polished at this price point, The three of their steaks were cooked okay, but seemed to be pretty fatty cuts of meat. Then to my prime rib. I've never had, or seen a fattier cut of meat. I'm not exaggerating when I say 75-85% fat. In addition, once meals arrived, customer asked for wine list. Then selected a glass of wine with dinner. Wine never showed up. Here is where it gets interesting. There was so much fat on the plate, it looked like I barely ate. (How that awful piece made it out of the kitchen, blows my mind). Again, I didn't say anything, as I was with customers. The Manager comes by the table, and asks "how was everything". I didn't say anything, but my customer says "look at that guys plate, and how fatty that cut of meat was. Manager says something to the effect of "is there anything I can do" and again, because I have customers there, say "no, you can just take my plate". Which looked like the entire piece of prime rib was still sitting there, but it was all fat. We order some deserts to go and I get the check. The Manager could have stepped up and covered a drink, or a dessert, but instead, saw the train wreck of the Wal Mart/Texas Road House quality prime rib as he took my plate away, and chose to do nothing. Granted, I said I was fine, but he clearly saw the poor quality that came out of the kitchen firsthand, and could have made it right: I'd expect that behavior/lack of customer service at a fast food joint. I entertain my customers on a regular basis, and this price point is on pare with other steak houses in town, that deliver a MUCH better service and food quality experience. Service, would have drastically helped cover some of the feedback in the terrible quality of product served. Big miss from the wait staff, right up to the Manager. Do better

Steak was done perfect and the drinks were strong and tasty. I didn't care for the Brussels too much, but the steak egg rolls are wonderful. The carrot cake was the star of the show! It was huge and delicious, I just wish it wasn't put on its side, instead of upright, it would have been a better presentation. Anyhow, it was great! Service was great at first but then she kinda disappeared for a long time. The ambiance was very nice except for being seated by a loud kitchen. All and all, we will definitely be back soon!

You walk in and can see the raw bar and part of the kitchen. All of the staff welcomed us in and were very friendly. The restaurant feels like a fish market with the open concept. I liked how it was nice and high quality food and drinks, without being too fancy. That makes it so much easier to enjoy a good meal without dressing to the Ts. I opted out of getting a drink this time, but they had three Floyd's canned beer which my boyfriend ordered. It was good and they did serve it with a glass which is always appreciated. We both ordered the grouper sandwich (mine with no bun) and then shared the hamachi crudo. The crudo was delicious, but the hibiscus sauce was slightly over powering in my opinion. I really liked the sauce, I just prefer to be able to taste the fish a little bit more. The fish itself was very good. The group was huge! (Yes we both ate the entire thing). That "Florida sauce" they serve with it is a game changer. Might have to order more to go next time. Definitely will be back to Fishmonger! This time with a reservation!

We got the pork chop medium well bc we like our pork more cooked bc ain't no one trying to get salmonella from undercooked pork. But it was sooo good, has a nice char on the outside, and perfectly seasoned. Additionally, it sits on top of a bed of allegedly "rice" according to our server. But to me, it reminded me of a tendon brisket texture. I would've bet money on it too. But delicious with sweet peach sauce that came with it. For the prime rib, it was a huge cut of meat, but it was lacking flavor, needed some more salt and some rosemary to bring out the meat. No reservation? Don't worry, you may be able to grab a seat at the beautiful bar when you walk in. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's great music playing softly in the background, and as you look around, you realize you're dining inside a beautifully renovated old warehouse. Here's a little inside history: the building was once used to make handles for old hammers and axes. Look closely at some of the beams and you can actually see the hammer marks! Okay, enough history, let's talk drinks! I started with an Old Fashioned made with Sazerac Rye Bourbon. It was very good and served with clear ice, which is always a good sign. My only complaint? They used a red cherry instead of a Maraschino cherry. They definitely need to step up their Old Fashioned game! They also made a great Dirty Martini, or as I like to call it, a "Dirty & Skanky Martini." Now for the food! We started with the Spanish Octopus, which was absolutely delicious. The Bluefin Belly was very good, and the Corn-Milk Hush Puppies were SOOOO good! We also tried the Summer Squash, which was another great addition to the meal. For my entrees, I went with the Wild Striped Bass, WOW! Amazing flavor, and check out the Jonah Crab on top! I also tried the Grilled Swordfish with Brisket Marmalade, and that was another winner. The combination of flavors was fantastic! And I have to give a big shout-out to the service. Everyone was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. If you're visiting Nashville, or you live here, put this place on your list! Great atmosphere, creative seafood dishes, excellent service, and some really memorable food. I'll definitely be back!
