I cannot even begin to count how many times I have had Stoop Kid bagels this year. It is my go-to bagel spot in Phoenix. I am vegetarian and always get the Yam and Cheese on an Asiago bagel. The combination of sweet and spicy with the veggies loaded in it hits the spot. My husband is a fan of egg in his breakfast sandwiches and usually gets the Money Shot. The cheese is perfectly melted on the well cooked egg. They have a variety of bagels as well as unique cream cheeses. I love the red pepper shmear and have not ventured far from that. The bagels are ready quickly, usually within 10 minutes. They are BIG so be careful. I only dropped the entire bagel on my way to the car and they were kind enough to make me a new one. Now I am super careful with them. Everyone who works there is kind and really gets to know their customers. They often call us by our first names which goes to show how much they care. This establishment is located in Churchill, an outdoor food court, with many different restaurants. There is always plenty of room to sit down and enjoy your meal. Stoop Kid only serves bagels until noon and then they start serving burgers. I will update y'all when I finally try those out! read more

First time in Phoenix and my sister and her fiancé brought be to Churchill. Such a cool location! They have food, drinks, a dj, and even some shops. The weather was sunny and in the 70's so truly the perfect day to be outside. After a few drinks I desperately wanted a burger and her fiancé suggested Stoop Kid. They had just opened for lunch (12:30 ish) and there was already a big line forming. Normally I do not like to wait but they assured me it would be worth it... THEY DID NOT LIE! I ordered the pobrecito and it was amazing. Thin flavorful patties with crispy edges. A perfect smash burger! I also ordered the mac balls - fried mac and cheese balls. They were also DANK but my favorite part about it was the sauce (or jelly???) that came on the side. Perfect sweet and spicy combo. Also shout out to the girl working the counter friday lunch because despite the rush she happily packed my food to go after I forgot to say to go while ordering. I had been wanting a real bagel for a few days. We hadn't been to The Churchill yet, so we stopped in on a Saturday morning, our pup Archie in tow. I particularly enjoy interesting places we can take Archie to. The name, 'Stoop Kid', brought fond memories for my husband, who grew up on a stoop in New Jersey, not far from New York City. The guy who took our order was very nice and friendly. Just like your neighbor on the stoop next door. Their bagels further synced with my husband's memories of the bagels in 'The City', as people from that area refer to NYC as if it was the ONLY city. No offense, I LOVE NYC too! We had Asiago bagels and they were big and the perfect texture. We had one with their spicy bacon jam cream cheese, so flavorful, with just a little bite. Delicious! The other we had plain cream cheese and we shared them so we each got to enjoy the spicy bacon jam. We sipped perfect Americano coffees and let the bagels stand out. The Churchill is such a fun venue, made of stacked and customized shipping containers, housing other food vendors and a couple little shops. This Saturday morning was pretty quiet, but you can see that activity was going to ramp up as the day went on. read more

Really enjoyed this spot! Stoop Kid is located in the Churchill with is in the heart of Roosevelt Row. This is the perfect spot to grab a quick bite to eat, and I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich. They serve breakfast until noon and then burgers after noon, so definitely want to come back to try the burgers!! The Smashburger was great. Had the right amount of pickles, cheese and sauce. The curly fries were great and they also came with a house sauce. I believe it was ketchup mayonnaise and maybe some hollandaise. my food came out pretty quick. Just enough time to get a beer. I also enjoy the fast casual set up of the plaza. This is a small window shop located in The Churchill, which is right along 1st Street. You can find metered street parking nearby, and you order at a window. Seating is available inside The Churchill, and to note, no outside food/drinks are allowed inside the establishment. I stopped by at 11am and ordered an Egg Thee Stallion, and I appreciated that the service was great! The cashier was really nice and friendly. I got my order after 15-20 minutes, and I really enjoyed my food -- granted, the egg wasn't as runny as it was in the photo, but the bagel sandwich had a wonderful combination of cheese in it (gruyere, moray, and parmesan), and it was delicious. The sandwiches are a bit on the pricey side - it was $12 for mine - but because it's so filling, I would say it's worth it. I would love to stop by to try some of their other sandwiches! read more

Today is my 100th Yelp review!!! Woooo! What is the significance of that? Not much honestly lol but it's a nice round number and it does mean that I've written a bunch of Yelp reviews in 2022. When I started yelping regularly this year I had about 13 reviews under my belt, since 2011. I really had not been the kind of person who takes the time to rate places. However, it's been really fun to attend the Yelp events and get to know fellow Yelpers in the community. So thank you Stoop Kid for being a wonderful place to enjoy for my 100th review! When I walked up it was just before 9am this morning, there was metal music blasting in the back of the shop. Which was great, who doesn't like a little metal to get their day started! :) I was quickly greeted, I placed my order, and then waited just a short amount of time for a very delicious breakfast. The Money Shot Breakfast Bagel is awesome. I also got Plain with berry cream cheese. I know it's pretty simple stuff but that is my favorite kind of breakfast food. This place wasn't terrible, but have I had better burgers before? Absolutely! First lemme start with the positives. I love the vibe of where this place was located. Think of an outdoor version of a food court. There was plenty of seating and other small businesses located in the court. We went there wanting breakfast but since we got there at 1 breakfast had long since stopped (which was our fault for not checking). The service was great, no complaints there. One of the sides was fried plantains, which being African I had some reservations. I think they were trying to do a fusion which could've worked but the sea salt on the plantains ruined the flavor. Overall I would say for the price this place wasn't awful but also not amazing. I'm really glad we went and found this place instead of those overpriced food trucks there. We got the Jalapeño Burger (I forgot the real name) and some of the Mac n Cheese Balls. Both of these were really good. My friend and I shared the burger and we just took turns complimenting how good it tasted. I highly recommend getting the burner. I got mine with an extra patty on a brioche bun and it was so good to the point where I was inclined to leave a review. The tater tots were served hot and crispy but I didnt like the "natural ketchup" that was given with it. Tasted a little grainy and off compared to the classic Heinz.
