I went through the drive thru and it took extremely long. The guy working the drive the drive thru said give me a minute however I was waiting much longer in the line just to order. After ordering as 10-15 mins went by I went to the window waiting to pay and get my drinks there was no acknowledgment or greeting me or letting me know it'd be awhile I just was sitting waiting another 15 minutes to pay and get my drinks I ended up leaving empty handed due to no acknowledgment. I understand when there's a busy flow but to not communicate and just let customers wait is very unprofessional especially acting as if no one is at the window. They need to do better ! read more

We decided to try this out in the evening and it did not disappoint! First, it's important to know that they are in their SOFT OPENING phase. Certain menu items will be sold out during this time and lines may get long. The bad reviews here do not give them an inch of forgiveness about this as they figure out the kinks. I wouldn't even consider them seriously. We ordered an Uji Matcha Freeze and Matcha Gon' Banana. Both had strong flavors of matcha. In my opinion the matcha freeze was incredibly sweet but for my bf, it was perfect! The Matcha Gon' Banana had a lighter taste of banana in it. The wait for our drinks was less than 10 mins and we had a couple of groups in front of us as well. The workers were also really nice and answered our questions patiently despite how busy it was. A lot of people were also posted up in the cafe to study, chat, etc. The ambiance could definitely get loud but the cafe is spacious. The drive thru will also be coming soon! read more

First Time coming here! I love the enviroment in here. It gives off a bright, chill place to have a great talk with friends and do my own thing alone if I want to. I got the Strawberry Tornado and I love it very much as a sweet tooth person! The longer you let it sit, the taste gets better with the strawberry and milk foam and the creme brulee mixed together. My friends commented the Melon Macha Freeze and Macha Gon' Banana as well-balanced and creamy drinks. They love it as well. I have been to Summerfield Tea bar before, but did not realize this location opened up near me. Walking into the place, the interior carries a nice presentation, and there's plenty of seating. I decided to go with the melon matcha freeze drink (not a lot of places carry melon matcha!) and I appreciated all of the adjustments you are able to make on your drink. The drink came out pretty quick, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I also liked that this location closes later than other boba spots. Will definitely be back! read more

Notice that their drive thru was open today so I decided to get my matcha fix today about 2 hours ago. I love their banana matcha the first few times I've been coming but this is the 2nd time they have completely made my drink bad Matcha is so bitter and not taste of banana at all. I got the Uji Matcha Freeze and it's pretty good, about the same as sunright but sunright is cheaper. With that being said, staff needs training on menu items/substitutions. I was told one night that I was able to switch out the milk foam for boba at no extra charge but then I went the next day and was told thats not possible. So its like can I or can I not? It's also soft opening but be prepared for long waits. For some reason the cashier is also the person who hands out drinks/packs them. Sometimes the cashier will take an order and then goes to pack drinks/call the order which usually results in people waiting in line for a bit. Walked in to this spot yesterday because I saw that it was doing a soft launch earlier in the week. The tea house was very clean, the ambiance was very comforting and was really homey as well. I ordered through the kiosk, which was super easy and the service was fast as well! I did walk around and was asked if I needed help pretty quickly, which was a positive for me. I got the Iced Banana Matcha Latte which is called 'Matcha Gon Bananas', love the name! The drink was good, definitely one of my better tasting Matcha's I've had. I'll definitely be back. read more

Claimed they had a BOGO promotion, but the giant sign infront of the shop showed no specification that it was only MON-FRI (3-5) and it wasn't even BOGO free. Buy one drink and get a $2 drink on a very few select drinks... - extremely watery drinks ($6 to $8). Both the matcha and fruit teas became watery and tasteless after 5 mins - ran out of many items; like the strawberry matcha and popcorn chicken even though we were first customers for the day -had a food combo ($11 combo for popcorn and a drink) but THE CATCH.... A group of friends and I came here on December 30, 2025, around 9 or 10 PM. There was a line to order at the kiosk since we wanted to sit down and catch up. Once ordered, we stood around for 15-30 minutes until we saw an empty table. We sat down for another 15 minutes before we decided to check on our drinks, the wait time at this point for about 7 drinks was now at 45 minutes. When a friend decided to go up to the front to ask about the progress of our drinks, whoever the young gentleman working the front was, pushed out an entire cart of drinks and told us that if we see our names, we can grab our drinks. Is that not ridiculous and unsanitary? ESPECIALLY with more than 20+ drinks being on that cart? When we grabbed our drinks, some of them you can tell have been done for a hot minute due to the ice melting, the flavor of the drinks being watered down, and the condensation on the cups. The drinks are good, but the service is not. I'm not about to blame the young man who was working because it was noticeably understaffed. I am blaming the business owner and manager for not giving their staff enough people to work during the holiday week and weekend. I can see why this spot is nice, when it is not crowded, but the owner and manager seriously need to oversee their staff's concerns. How are you only going to staff about 4-5 people to work a huge crowd inside and the drive-thru as well? I'm willing to give this place another chance, but only if the owner and manager are willing to enforce the change. And I hope they do, since this is such a prime place and time for a drive-thru boba shop like this. read more

Came in last week on Saturday after hearing about the BOGO deal. We came at opening time, waited an hour+ despite being one of the first few customers, and left with nothing. The BOGO deal is falsely advertised and isn't available on weekends. Only 3 workers were working/in training when there was a huge queue that wrapped inside the store and out. After waiting in line, we were told there was no promo deal and we didn't feel it was worth waiting an additional amount of time for full priced drinks with lack of adequate staffing when they were promoting a soft opening deal. The place is nicely renovated and has tons of seating. However, I don't know if I'll be back due to management's lack of transparency. read more

Visited 7/3/25 This might have been one of the worst experiences at a boba location. Summerfield is known for their welcoming ambience and drinks, so when I saw there was one opening in the SGV, we had to check it out. We came at around 3:30 PM so there are a decent wait in the line to order 20-30 Minutes. Their bogo selection doesnt include certain drinks which we did not know until we ordered. We got the Tropical Beach and the strawberry matcha latte, no adjustments. The wait for our drinks was probably another 10 minutes after they skipped our number. When I went up to the counter, they had only one drink ready when numerous people behind us had theirs. The girl with the glasses working made it for me in ~5 minutes. The tropical beach was extremely watered down and the strawberry matcha has so much sweetener/sugar it tasted like a thick ice cream that was impossible to drink. Overall, this place needs a way to control the line and improve on making consistent drinks. read more

Summerfield as a business model is good because there's drive thru and it opens late and good for quick gatherings but just like the other reviews I've read, get ready to be disappointed!! Ordered the Tropical Beach Tea (strawberry lychee tea with basil seeds and lychee jelly) and popcorn chicken. Tea was 50% sweetness and light ice but a bit too sweet, overall still very tasty. Popcorn chicken was on the fattier side but can tell decent quality meat was used. Sesame dressing was tasty and chili powder on side was nice to dip. Would definitely come again and order the same with 25% sweetness on the drink next time. Great seating area to sit and study as well. read more

I came here tonight on a Sunday night catching up with a friend and while arriving I appreciate that they have their own parking structure and I would have to say there are plenty of parking spaces. The place itself is pretty big with lots of places to sit and there were a great amount of people studying when I walked in. The place looked and felt calming. I wanted boba and popcorn chicken, their menu seemed straight to the point with milk teas, fruit teas, special teas , and your regular boba snacks. since I wanted I boba + popcorn chicken they have 2 combos where you can get the popcorn chicken + a drink ( either milk or fruit tea) for about $14 ish dollars : I think that's a great deal! There's another combo with the same concept but with fried tofu! the popcorn chicken was great I think it's good and spicy is like a mild spice. The amount given personally I think it's great for one person but for sharing wise ? I'm not too sure but that's only because I finished mine but if you can't then it can be shareable. Insane how in 2025 I can still find a boba shop with ample seating that encourages patrons to sit and study for hours. The interior design is impeccable and I love how there's a drive thru as well. I'm slowly working my way through their menu and so far I really love their cold cocoa drink for the holiday season. The popcorn chicken is a must order, the extra spicy is not as spicy as I'd expect it to be but hey it's still delicious, tender, and juicy. Surprisingly, their ranch dipping sauce is incredible? Been here twice in the last week. The first time, ordered a BOGO Tropical Beach with Lychee Jelly, 50% sweet. They put Aloe instead of Lychee Jelly, and when I went back to have it fixed, they told me that it was actually lychee jelly, as if I wasn't the one tasting the difference. After fixing one, they resisted when I asked them to fix the other one as well. After fixing it, the lychee jelly was correct, but they made it 100% sweet. Terrible service. The second time, I came just to get fries, and was order #1. I ordered online, came in to get it after 15 minutes, and it hadn't even been started. I asked where the order was, and they just kept asking for the order receipt and saying they didn't get anything. Interior is fine, but also freezing. Hate that this business it open so late! Live nearby and it's annoying. The car revving, the weed smell, the loudness of people just lingering in the parking lot. update: i reluctantly went again with my friends and this time i will say the drinks were splendid and the food was fresh and piping hot! i did still feel like the service was lacking in a way, but i understand why they don't call out numbers and why they don't have people taking orders now. overall, i think as a recently opened location they should work on consistency with their drinks for sure and perhaps work on helping customers a little more, especially new customers who don't know that you have to order on a kiosk or that you have to look at the status of your number on the screen. read more

Love Grand Openings & really loved the ambiance inside Summerfield's Tea Bar, so welcomingly green & comforting to visit & just hang out there and not want to leave. I tried the Matcha Gone Bananas drink & thought it was just missing the bananas custard flavor ~ all it tasted like was a plain Matcha drink, but I still enjoyed it. I tried the tasty fried tofu too, it was very delicious! Overall, the service was great, the employees seemed to be enthusiastic in keeping the line moving & I didn't feel like I waited too long for the drinks to be made. I will return to try some of the other fancy colorful drinks & maybe give the Matcha Gone Bananas drink another chance. read more
