Went to the 626 market and saw lots of people had cute light up teddy bear bottles, so we decided to get one. Hefty price tag of $25 but we just bit the bullet and got one each anyway. My cousin's light up didn't work, but she didn't care much for it so we didn't go back to return it. But The straw for mines was defective, so we went back and asked if we can get a replacement straw, they said yes, we were estatic, she told me to throw away the straw, so I did, came back to find out she gives me a one time use straw. I thought they made a mistake??? Asked another person, he said that is the replacement straw........ For $25 each and both our bottles to be defective/missing something and not willing to offer an actual replacement. My cousin and I were flabbergasted. The drinks were really good, but before you leave with your drink, make sure your product is not defective! My favorite thing to get here is the fried fish plate. I believe it's a tilapia fish and it comes with a dry seasoning. For me, it's perfect as I prefer salty foods and it codes your choice of white or Mexican rice, a side, which can be Vegetables, salad, or french fries. French fries have always been crunchy and hot, vegetables were quite nice too on healthier days. I wanted to eat healthier. Salad is salad, nothing bad to say. They include red salsa which is quite spicy for the average person. If you want green salsa they will have to charge you extra. Their fajitas were OK, a little thin and dry for the beef, at least. I wasn't expecting miracles, considering this is a kiosk inside of a mall. I would order it again. Breakfast burritos were fine as well, don't expect mind blowing but it was good enough considering it's only $10. You have your choice of tater tots, or Spanish rice for the filling inside which is nice. They have a lot of drinks you can sample which are quite good but note: they will be on the sweet side. I ordered a medium sized baby bottle beverage and when I went back in line to get a refill, they refused stating that I did not have a refill card when in fact they never gave me one during the transaction. This was recommended to me by the good old yelp notification that popped up on my phone. I remember seeing this place in one of those food fairs like 626 night market. The pictures and reviews seemed pretty good and it was a Sunday so I figured I had to go. Like all weekends at the mall, it is packed. So be prepared to wait a bit in line. The staff were very friendly and offered free samples of their Aqua Fresca so it wasn't too bad of a wait. I was craving a steak so I ordered the steak plate along with a cucumber lime aqua fresca. The steak plate was a bit disappointing with it being too salty and dry. It was almost like eating jerky. Since you're eating at the food court, be prepared to cut that with a plastic knife. I found my premolars to be the better barbaric choice to get the food in my stomach. The drink was the redeeming factor of this place. They have a plethora of choice from strawberry milk to watermelon to mango so it will pretty much satisfy your thirst on a hot summer day. The serve their drinks usually in a baby bottle but I got a regular plastic cup. But that didn't deter me from enjoying it. The cucumber lime was equally refreshing and inviting. Inviting because the right amount of citrus from the lime makes you want to go back for a 2nd sip. It is not overly sweet which gives it a good balance; not like some other places that want to just give you diabetes) All in all, for sure get the drinks and maybe food somewhere else. Don't let this place fool you. The food here is love. Came here with my better half on a date night at the movies. My better half had the three tacos and I had the egg stir fry with Mexican rice and salad. All food was freshly cooked to order. The tacos were surprisingly delicious. I ordered the beef fajitas with Mexican rice and broccoli as my sides, it was delicious! Even though the Mexican rice is far from being Mexican, just top with some of the of the supplied salsa and Bam now you have Mexican rice. The fajitas are well seasoned with plenty of veggies and the beef was very tender. Would I order this again? Hell yes! The young man who took my order was very pleasant and nice and took it on the chin when I scolded him for not having beans as a side dish, lol. The options available for their aguas frescas are great; although I do wish they had an agua fresca option with spinach (sounds crazy but it's a really good legit agua fresca option). Taking one star off because their menu was bit hard for me to figure out at first glance; again, lots of stuff to choose from and not following a particular cuisine; they seemed to have a mix of American, Asian and Mexican food; a SoCalifornian menu of sorts. Food was good. I tried their shrimp fajita plate and was very pleasantly surprised! Super fresh, cooked and seasoned well, and they included a Chile toreado which is always a big plus in my book! They were also very accommodating with my request to add a slice of lemon. The aguas frescas were slightly on the sweet side for me but very good! I was not expecting the Grilled fish to be that good... I was blown away. You don't expect to go to the mall and find 5 star restaurants but the cook here is definitely a 5 star Michelin chef. I don't know if the price increased due to inflation, but the menus clearly shows it at $7.95. I added no tip. I reviewed my receipt again thinking they must have added an extra charge to my bill as I used my debit card; however, that wasn't the case. There was no indicator if I was going to be charged for paying with card. I didn't bother to ask nor wanted to cause a commotion about it as it was only a $1 difference, but certainly made me question this place ethical procedure. When it got to me, he insisted that I needed to go to a different line, even though I was trying to order the same thing as the guy in front of me. I hadn't been to the Arcadia mall in years--definitely before the pandemic. I'm there today with my Nephew and Nieces to visit jump and jammin' and happened upon this little nugget in the food court. They engage passers-by with a smile and free tasters to their amazing array of fruit juices. There's really no need since the smell from the grill immediately grabs your attention. I had the Carne Asada tacos--AMAZING! The customer service is top notch. I'm not kidding! Ruby, LuLu and Edgar are a great team! Before I left, I grabbed tacos to go! I would urge anyone in the area to stop by and try this place. Reminds me of authentic tacos from Ensenada and you can't beat the price.
