Minus some price increases but they gotta stay in business somehow. They offer your typical Filipino breakfast (tselog) but they also have some Chinese food as well. Really small hole in the wall small business. The food is all very good with good portions. They have a few extra items on the list menu compared to their sister restaurant which is a plus. I think Gateway gives more rice with more garlic on it which is a marginal difference but it's definitely in the same vein of execution. Superstar's HK pork chop also was thicker than had less surface area than Gateway's but that's just going to come down to preference between the two imo. The inside is pretty worn down, but the more worn down the place is, the more the food smacks. And the food SMACKS. Although the place is Chinese owned, they hit the mark with Filipino cuisine. My personal favorites are the tosilog and chicken wing dishes. Longsilog is my go-to backup if they don't have those. All items on the menu come with a bed of garlic fried rice, an egg, and a choice of tomato or pineapple. (Note: Last time I went, they gave me pineapple by default. Not a problem, but maybe it's because I came closer to closing time and it's all they had.) This place is takeout only and cash only.
