Food was good I'll give them that. But first it took about 30 minutes for someone to even check in with us. We just ended up ordering through the QR code on the table. the white older waitress that was working Sunday 5/29 at around 2:00pm with the purple shirt, was very rude. I don't write bad reviews often, but it was frustrating with a waitress that was being passive aggressive. One of our orders was delivered to another table and it was passed around from person to person trying to figure out who it belonged too. When they realized the order was for our table, the waitress brought it over and my friend had asked if it could be remade because we saw 4 or 5 people touch and passed the plate, she then said "yeah no one touched that but we can do that for you" it was just rude. We had also ordered through an extra salad with the person that brought out one of our dishes and that was never placed on the bill. We had mentioned it to the waitress and she replied " you didn't order anything else" Just her whole attitude was passive aggressive, and I don't think that I would want to come back for service. Better off just getting it to go. --ALSO they had mentioned that they were understaffed but there were two waitresses at the time that we ordered, and there was only three tables that were being served. My only gripe to the owner is please add tip options at check out- our poor waitress said she gets stiffed on tip often because people are in a hurry, don't know how to do it or whatever. I wish I would have taken pictures of the edema and sushi but my wonderful children had my phone. We LOVE sushi and stopped here for happy hour! Honestly we have been to better HH and this wasn't our favorite. The flavor wasn't really there, the fish seemed semi fresh . The vibe is good the lighting was nice, they played a good rang of music which always helps. I usually like going to sushi places and trying different rolls when traveling. This place is a little hidden, but damn good! I had the Hot Lips roll, if ever in Gilbert/Phoenix area it is a must. The staff were great too! The Sake was a house Sake and it was refreshing. Only only issue was the knat / fruit flies. I know that is a hard insect population to control. One landed on my sushi. lol. Food quality has significantly gone down. Used to love their rolls they are horrible and fishy now. Service was pretty bad as well, ordered an appetizer it came after rolls (it was edamame....) also asked front associate who gave us menus if there was kids items and was told no. Later to find out there was after looking for something for my kid for forever. Then to top it off the whole table got their food but my kids came out last, 10-15 minutes after everyone else's so my 18 month old is sitting there starving. I have been coming to this place for a long time and it has been our go to after a few bad experiences at other places. Recently the sushi has just been awesome. The chef really makes everything great with lots of sauce and tailors to my super pick palette. Even if you come in an it's an eh experience the first time... you will not regret giving it a second shot. Really delicious sushi and drinks. It tastes high quality and the atmosphere is much nicer than other sushi spots I've been too. The service is also incredible and our waiter was a gem. I'd highly reccomend Sushi Brokers for a nice date or birthday dinner. I think the only reason they aren't 5 stars is because I do think their a little overpriced for sushi. The Gilbert location used to be our "go to" sushi spot. What happened? Quality, cleanliness, service all disappointing.

Well I was really hoping for some sushi for my birthday dinner and we decided to give this spot a try since it was the closest one. We had been here once before before the pandemic, but we had not been wowed by it. It was decent and had a good variety of sushi and drink choices, but it was on the more expensive side. Anyways, we walked in and were surprised to find that none of the servers were wearing masks and they did not require diners to at any point either. There is also no social distancing here whatsoever, all seating is as close as it was before COVID and there are no barriers between booths as there are at almost every other restaurant right now. We immediately felt very uncomfortable and just bewildered. We sat down for a few minutes, but the server ended up taking so long as well that we were able to discuss and decide we were not comfortable staying and we left. We will never return here, even when masks and social distancing is no longer required because we cannot support an establishment this irresponsible. We drove the extra ten minutes down the road to Shinme Sushi and were not disappointed there. Please look elsewhere when you are looking for a good sushi spot, because this is most certainly not it. Great Happy Hours specials on appetizers, rolls and drinks from 3 to 6:30pm and then again from 10pm to close! We had a slow start to our evening. While we were sat immediately after arriving, no one came to our table for 20 minutes. Then we said something to the hostess and promptly received a service. Our waitress, Tavi, was great considering it was a busy Friday night. Shout out to her for doing a wonderful job and hooking us up with the beautiful dessert for the birthday at our table. We had a large table of 10 people so there was a bit of a wait again before food came out but when it did it looked and tasted great! The portions were HUGE and we took plenty of leftovers home. A couple people at our table cannot eat seafood due to allergies (myself included) and I was pleasantly surprised at all the non-seafood options offered at Sushi Brokers. Went there for dinner today & the restaurant was extremely hot which made for an uncomfortable dinner. Not only was it hot in there, there were also a lot of nats flying around which grossed us out. Asked the bartender if the ac was on and she let us know the ac has been out for a few weeks now. They should definitely get that fixed soon. Came on a pretty chill Tuesday afternoon, and was pleased by the low-key atmosphere. No blasting of the music - just some nice ambiance that people can talk with. The place is neat and clean and there's plenty of comfortable seating inside as well as outside. The waitress was kind and all smiles. We didn't have much interaction because I knew what I wanted but she did inform me that they had happy hour all day, which I took advantage of and ordered calamari! i was waiting a long time for a refill (and I had to ask) on my water though but it looks like she is the only one here. The entree came out before the appetizer which was no big deal for me because I felt like the sashimi salad and calamari can be enjoyed anytime. The salad was tasty and well-crafted. The only thing I was sort of disappointed about was that it was drowning in the vinaigrette. This is actually a common problem when ordering the salad but some places are better than other on the salad to sauce ratio. The salad was fresh, light, flavorful, and not at all stingy with the fish. I think it was almost perfect except for the drowning of sauce. The calamari is some of the best calamari I've eaten (and believe me, I look for the best calamari in The Valley). It wasn't over-battered and had a nice spice to it. The thing here again is the almost over exuberance the sauce/spice. A spicy sort of salt was covering the calamari that I felt was too much. This spice packs a punch and if you get a piece with a lot on, it will have you reaching for your water a lot! The sauce included I tried but I didn't continue to use because it was extremely spicy as well. It had a wonderful flavor and people will enjoy it, but I could only try it once. All in all, a decent experience. I will be interested to come back on another occasion and try the full on sushi. If ordering the two items again, I would just tell them to go light on the sauce/spice or have it on the side. read more

For a sushi restaurant in Arizona, this place is not bad at all. We've been spoiled by sushi restaurants in coastal cities and there's really no beating those. The eel texture and temperature was quite perfect on the nigiri. The rice texture was a bit overdone and the rice vinegar flavor was a bit much, which made items with rice not as stellar as they could have been. The real star of the show was the lollipop roll(which does not have rice). Pros: fish freshness, eel, lollipop roll, sake. Cons: rice. I used to go to the one in Scottsdale and tonight was my first taste in Gilbert. First of all our waitress Lang was awesome! Super cheery, on top of everything, we had our food in no time. Miso soup and garlic edamame were a great start to open up our appetite. I ordered a sashimi salad which was excellent! I really l Iike the combo of wild greens and crunchy greens topped with assorted sashimis. My son and husband both ordered the chicken teriyaki which received great compliments. Went to the Gilbert location last night, had reservations for 6pm. Couldn't read the list of rolls the print was so small, not their fault but take your glasses if you are 50+. We asked for recommendations because of this and told the manager we liked "raw," the rolls she recommended were her best sellers she said. One was cooked, and didn't realize until it arrived. The waitress was great with refilling water, however we had to ask the manager if we could order and to get our check. We sat waiting 35 minutes prior to ordering and @35 minutes after ordering to get the check. So we will not be going back to Sushi Brokers since the sushi was just average and service was way to slow on a Tuesday night. read more

Came here during happy hour on a Friday post COVID-19 lockdowns. Warning, if you are concerned about social distancing, you may want to come at a later time because this restaurant was pretty full. I arrived at 5:30pm and the restaurant was mostly empty, by the time I left a couple of hours later, most of the tables were occupied and none were taped off for social distancing. The staff did wear masks. As for the food, I do recommend the happy hour menu. I stuck with basic rolls and Nigiri sushi as I am a sushi purist. Portions for the rolls are generous. My dine in experience was better than my takeout experience. I would come again during happy hour, but maybe not on a Friday or sit out on the patio. read more

There's nothing worse than burning your mouth by thinking the wasabi was part of the avocado in your sushi and biting into it like nothing and just sitting there waiting for your waiter to come by (this did not happen here but has happened to me at another restaurant). I usually visit during happy hour and get a tuna and avocado roll with extra salted edamame and I am very pleased and full each time. After reading a couple of other reviews about prices -- I feel that this place is adequately priced if not a little cheaper to other sushi places I have visited. This restaurant is NOT following ANY social distancing guidelines. We stopped by yesterday, on a Friday night to find the entire restaurant packed wall to wall. They do not have misters outside, or I'm sure the patio would have been packed as well. This is a blatant disregard for people's safety and they are not helping to stop the spread of COVID-19. This is completely unacceptable... we quickly walked out in disbelief! A few months ago, a friend and I ordered to-go online before picking up our food. When I arrived on time it was not ready so I waited outside in the patio. It took 30 minutes for my order (one roll) to be ready. First date night in four years.. and we didn't even know where to go our choice couldn't have been better though. We happened to park right between Sushi Brokers and the Koi Sushi place. Reviews looked very similar but for some reason this one looked more inviting from the outside A very friendly and helpful lady greeted us when we walked in. We chose to sit by the bar since we didn't have toddlers with us that could fall of bar stools Kylie behind the bar was super nice and so helpful during our almost 3 hour stay! We barely made it to happy hour (didn't even know that is was happy hour) and she gave us some recommendations on really good sushi rolls.. the Lollipop roll was truly amazing in fact all the food (mainly sushi dishes) was great. I really love this place. I've been a few times now and I've always gotten great service & awesome food. I think they have some great creative rolls and I love that they offer happy hour everyday from 3-6pm! Parking is easy too, they have a garage next to the restaurant with free parking and there are also parking spots in front of the restaurant or on the south side in a large out door area across the street. I usually sit at the sushi bar because I love to watch them make the rolls. My boyfriend and I came on Sunday to enjoy some happy hour and we got tons of delicious stuff! Veggie spring rolls, crab ragoons, vegetable roll, jalapeño tail sashimi, 2 orders of tuna sushi, the cowgirl roll, & the damn good roll. The spring rolls were ok I just wouldn't order them again. Everything else I loved. The presentation is always on point and the rolls have the prefect amount of rice- not too little and not too much but just enough that you don't get super full (makes you order more LOL). Service was great but the food.. the poke is 18 dollars for 8 piece of cube salmon with half ass cut cucumber, red onions and seaweed salad with rice. Tried a piece of the spicy tuna and spit it out because the fish tasted so bad. The server was very nice and attentive but the food was surprisingly not good.
