First time ordering and we did take out. I honestly have nothing bad to say. You guys are WAY better than the first place I tried! The fried rice ACTUALLY had flavor. Your scallops are cooked perfectly and the shrimp is great. I coming to see that here in Florida it's quite normal to be served rice AND noodles and hey I am NOT complaining. I have nothing else to say but KEEP IT UP Sushi Cafe!!

Ordered online for pick up. Was super easy and efficient. Order was ready by the time I went to pick it up and they have a texting system which helps too. They were super helpful when I arrived and asked if I wanted any sauces before I left. I ordered two sushi rolls, the shumai, and chicken hibachi dinner. The shumai were delicious and flavorful and were devoured in one sitting. The spicy Manhattan roll was good but very large so difficult to eat in one bite. Very good with eel sauce. The rainbow roll was also good. Seemed fresh. Clear soup was flavorful. The salad was a bit disappointing. Looks like just lettuce, sliced cucumber, and dressing. I have not tried the dressing yet as I was too full. I am saving the chicken hibachi dinner for day 2 but did have a bite of everything. Did not seem overly flavorful so I will be adding some soy sauce to it when eaten. Might also add some veggies or something to the fried rice. Just very plain. Overall it was good and I appreciated being able to order to go and eat at home.

This was my first time visiting, and I can honestly say I'll definitely be back! I've been searching for a decent sushi spot in Wesley Chapel, and I finally found it here. It's a small, cozy hole-in-the-wall with limited seating, but it wasn't too busy when we went, which worked out perfectly. My husband ordered the hibachi and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful the meat was. The fried rice was fresh and didn't have any odd aftertaste--it didn't even need sauce, which is rare. My mom and I shared four sushi rolls. Our go-to is the Mexican roll, which was delicious, but the standout was the Pink Lady roll. It tasted incredibly fresh, and the pink wrapping made it feel unique and memorable. I'm still thinking about that roll! I also appreciated that the seaweed wasn't chewy or soggy--something that usually ruins a roll for me. The only downside was the fountain drinks the Coke products were flat, which was a little disappointing. But aside from that, the service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and brought everything we needed without delay. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'll definitely be coming back soon!

Small Asian fusion place in a plaza off of Bruce B Downs very friendly staff and when we went to pick up it was a good umber of people dining in but staff was attentive as we could see. They menu has the expected dishes from hibachi entrees to variety of sushi (California to eel and tun to salmon rolls) and sashimi and specialty rolls (Mexican, Alaskan, pink lady etc) it's not the best ever but it's decent sushi and hibachi. Mmmm you can get some really good suchi here. I always get the monster bc it's to die for. The other specialty I tried today was Diva and I wasn't a fan, it wasn't too flavorful IMO. But we also got the habacchi and it was SOO GOODDD, it comes with rice AND noodles. We had so much leftovers because the sushi got us full before we barely touched the habachi! Our service was amazing too, I should've got the name of our server but he was very kind, polite, and attentive .

On the hunt for a good sushi place. Saw the reviews and decided to give them a try. The service was great and we were seated quickly with no wait. It's a smaller restaurant but you won't be disappointed. Each sushi roll was delicious. We also got the crab Rangoons and Gyoza which were delicious but the chili sauce that came with the crab Rangoons was amazing. My son in law had the hibachi and he said the yummy sauce was the best he ever had. We definitely be back to try more options.

This restaurant is normally pretty good! We went after the hurricane and they were open. It was extremely nice to have good food and some power for a bit. The staff was a bit overwhelmed with the online orders which then made those seated suffer. Other tables got food before us and there was a decent wait but, all in all they were open and we got food. Very grateful for this community!

Whether you order to go or dine in, this sushi has to be one of the best places in the Tampa area. Every time I visit home this place is a must go. The service staff is always friendly Call ahead on Friday and Saturday because it can get quite busy : absolutely love, will come back, can't wait to try more things and bring people here : pretty good, some quality issues, would return again : simple stuff, nothing crazy here, location could not be clean or employees not friendly : I may give this place a chance to improve at least one more time : I will not be returning here

By far and by a landslide, sushi cafe is our favorite sushi spot in the New Tampa area. We often order take out from here and on this night we wanted a late night snack and stopped in. Also, a plus that Sushi Cafe is open later than most of the mom and pop owned restaurants in the areas (11pm on weekends). Atmosphere: - Typical layout of a sushi spot. There's a partial wall that separates the small front area and the "dining room". This is a nice feature as the restaurant does a lot of take out business partial wall allows for those in the dining room to not be easily distracted. Service: - Above average. The servers are polite, timely and proactive ask if you need anything else (drinks, sauces, etc). Food: - As mentioned earlier, we really enjoy Sushi cafe. On this night we ordered crab rangoon, sweet potato and cream cheese roll, monster roll, the miyazaki roll, and the salmon kastu roll. The meal also came with two small salads (or soups). - Salads are small but I love the ginger dressing! - Crab rangoon is well filled and perfectly fried. - The rolls were all very good. The sweet potato and cream cheese roll has become one of our favorites. We are never disappointed with Sushi Cafe and will continue to eat here time and time again.

This has definitely become one of my main go to places for a good sushi. It's a pleasant place, often a little busy but I've never really had to wait. I usually go around lunchtime. The crab salad is excellent, sushi is very fresh and tasty and the wait staff are pleasant. It's always just a solid good experience that keeps me coming back. read more

I had a good experience here. Good Sushi, good Sake (rice wine), good food! Fresh flavors and great service! Each meal comes with a salad (with ginger dressing) or soup. We had two different sushi rolls which were so good that we ordered them again! Great place for a meal with friends and family, or even alone. Also, good vegetarian and vegan options! Always THE best sushi! Great service! Number 1 choice for sushi in the area! The sushi is always fresh and the rice is important to as it's always fresh, not too sticky or too much vinegar taste like I've had with other sushi places. Reasonable prices as well! My family had come in to town and I raved about this place! It was a really big order and was over in Temple Terrace during one of those protests that blocked Fowler. ANYWAYS, after hurdles and 2 hours later my family was okay with the wait! Lol! The wait had nothing to to with Sushi Cafe might I add. read more

We were on the hunt for some sushi and this place had some good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our family. The server was pretty good as well until checkout took a little longer than I wanted to get some boxes and a check. But to the most important part the food. The food was great I had two of the specialty sushi rolls and they were fantastic. My kids received the kids meals and they thoroughly enjoyed them as well. We also ordered some soul and the gyoza which again was fantastic. All in all good was amazing and will definitely be back. read more

Over the first two weeks of our relationship, my girlfriend and I ate here three times. The food--and the girlfriend--just keep getting better. One foot in the door, and Sushi Cafe is bringing its A-game, giving you cozy booths, professional waitstaff, and a small sushi bar all in a space that seems bigger on the inside than the out. The service is fast and unobtrusive in the mysterious-bottomless-water-glass kind of way. The California Roll exists here, and yes it is good, but if you order it before you try the rest that Sushi Cafe has to offer I will find you. Go ahead, ignore the specialty rolls. Just get three orders of California and play it safe. I dare you. I double dare you. I went here for lunch today. The prices are very reasonable and service was great considering more and more costumers kept coming in. sushi came with the choice of a ginger salad or miso soup. I don't recommend the ginger salad, it tasted awful. As for sushi, I got Hawaii roll and monster roll. Even though the monster roll had shrimp tempura, it was very light! The rice was seasoned really well too, not too vinegary. People have mentioned the Hawaii roll a few times on here, and it definitely lived to its expectations. It's huge and very flavorful! The mango added in makes it very refreshing. We also ordered seaweed salad and crab Rangoons. I definitely recommend these for appetizers. The seaweed salad was very crisp and even had cucumbers in it. The portion was huge for 5 dollars too! read more

I came here late afternoon on a Friday with a friend. When we arrived, the hostess at the station didn't immediately greet us, so that was a little awkward, but a server sat us right away. Good selection of sushi and hibachi. The lunch special for hibachi was a pretty good price for the food you got too. I ordered a combination hibachi (with salmon and steak, but you can order whatever two meats you want), which comes with steamed or fried rice, lo mein, soup, and salad. My friend ordered the steak hibachi and we shared the Pacific Fusion roll. The hibachi was pretty good. The steak wasn't tough, and the salmon wasn't dry. The Pacific Fusion roll was really good, and between half that roll and my hibachi, I was so full! Servers were really attentive and food was brought out quickly. I wish they had more selection for sushi under the lunch specials, but I'd definitely come here again to try out their sushi selection in the future. read more

Sushi Cafe has always been a great stop for my frequent sushi fixes! They have a wide variety of sushi/rolls as well as lunch/dinner meals. What sets Sushi Cafe apart from other sushi stops are the much larger sizes and amount of ingredients packed into each roll. I ordered two rolls and it kept me full the whole day. I ate around 3pm and had nothing else before or afterwards! It fulfilled my appetite because two rolls were literally all I needed for one day. My latest visit I ordered the Diablo and Osaka rolls, both of which were deep-fried awesomeness. Both also has "spicy sauce" but it really wasn't that spicy so don't be afraid to try something called "Diablo". The fish tasted great, nice crunchiness in both rolls, and a satisfying amount of ingredients in each. I liked the Diablo better because it had a stronger kick and the Osaka had a little too much cream cheese for me. Their menu can be overwhelming at first because of the number of options, but there are descriptions for each roll so it all depends on how simple or extravagant one desires. They don't skimp out on anything in their rolls that I've noticed in other sushi places. Their fried green tea ice cream is also always a bonus! I would also recommend the Diablo roll and Monster roll. read more

Today was my 5th visit to sushi cafe and it's consistent with its portion size and quality. They do not skimp on the ingredients inside rolls. (Just the right amount of rice) This is my favorite sushi place for basic rolls. I can get that fix for a decent price! I like the salmon roll and I add avocado and creme cheese with spicy mayo. The staff is always very accommodating! When I didn't see my favorite roll on the menu I asked if they would make it for me and they have done so each visit! One thing to note my first visit I noticed they have paper and pencils to write your order but it seems like no one ever uses them. The service has always been very quick and polite. read more

I think j just found my new favorite sushi shop in New Tampa. My daughter and I were craving sushi so we ordered take out. Green Dragon ... It was good Rock and Roll wrapped in seaweed...It was amazing We had a cucumber roll called the Sakura roll. It was wrapped in cucumber it was SO DAMN GOOD. Diablo Roll.... Absolutely delicious. The to go order for 4 rolls was $34.00... What a great price for 4 sushi rolls. They were all delicious. I am already craving sushi again.... I cant wait to order take out again. Highly recommend. BEST SUSHI IN TAMPA. or anywhere as far as I'm concerned. I have been here about 5 times so far and I just found it 2 weeks ago. I love there deep fried rolls. And there California roll is spot on too. And their crab Rangoon's are to die for. Everything is perfect. You can order to go and everything is fresh and packaged nicely or you can eat there which is also good. They have some stuff other than rolls. But I've only had the Rangoon's, rolls and specialty rolls. I try to get something new every time and it's always great! I love this place. read more

I don't even have count of how many times I have eaten at sushi cafe. The food is beyond exceptional and every time I try a different sushi restaurant nothing can even compare. The service is amazing your food is ready super fast and the servers are so kind:) I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant it's so good and they have such a wide menu. I reccomend their tempura ice cream and cheesecake if you are having a sweet tooth! read more

This place is outstanding. We've been here a few times and last night we went all out- got a sushi boat, fried rice, fried cheesecake AND ice cream, all for 60 dollars. The sushi is so fresh, the fish is incredible and so tender and soft. The service is fast- the waiters are extremely attentive and the place is clean clean clean. The ambiance is whimsical with multicolored lights and traditional decor. We will be back- and recommending friends! What a gem! read more

Normally the volcano topping is cooked or (torched) and this topping was cold and very unappetizing. Would not recommend this roll. Overall this place is a hit or miss. The Spicy salmon roll had cream cheese and cucumber inside and was finished with large, generous heaps of spicy salmon. The portion of cream cheese felt balanced in the Oysi Roll but was a bit much in the spicy salmon, which also wasn't very spicy. That said, I loved how vibrant and fresh the scallions were on the spicy salmon and the fish in both rolls tasted fresh. There are two small tables outside the food truck, but this is definitely more of a to go spot. I'd recommend ordering ahead by text since there's usually a wait. I'll definitely be back to try more rolls!

My friends also split an order of meatballs, which they loved. While they had wine for dessert, I had a piece of limoncello cake for dessert. It was fantastically lemony and moist, which I loved. Their parking lot is valet only, but fortunately you only have to pay the $6 fee Fri-Sun, so we just had to tip the very friendly valet.

Walked up forgot my phone a bunch of black youth pulled up and when I walked back up they turned off the open sign and locked the door. I can even begin to describe how mad I was.
