This is my go-to Thai restaurant. Like other people have mentioned, it is TINY inside and the parking can be annoying during their busy hours because the lot is so small. Ordering to-go is the easiest but don't expect the friendliest service when you call to make an order. You can tell that everyone working there (which seems like its only a couple people) wear multiple hats and do everything from cooking to taking phone orders so they're usually in a frantic rush. The food is flavorful and consistent. I usually get their lunch special - the price is good and the portions are pretty generous. You get to choose one main dish from their lunch special menu and it also comes with fried wontons and soup or salad. Their other items not included on their lunch special are good too. I like their yellow curry, pad see ew, pad thai, and tum yum soup with seafood. Though service and ambience are lacking, I'll continue to order take out because their food is delish. read more

Went here with two friends. As other reviews have mentioned, be forewarned that there are only maybe 5 or 6 tables inside and 1 or 2 outside. Which is fine...it took us about 20 minutes to get a table at around 8pm on a Saturday night. No biggy. So why 2 stars? Once we ordered, it took me almost 50 minutes to get my pad thai, and took my friends over an hour to get their food. They also screwed up an order, but we didn't want to wait another hour for food. We asked why it took so long, and they said 'lots of customers'. Huh? Maybe 5 people walked in for takeout during that time, and there aren't that many tables to begin with. The food was decent, but certainly not worth botching orders and waiting so long for. Unless you're prepared to wait for a LONG time, you can do better. read more

Slow getting service for a Monday night. Food was just so-so. Had a spicy fried rice dish that was not spicy, and seemed to be lacking in everything (veggies/chicken) but rice. Have had much better elsewhere. Food seemed to be better during my last visit (including decent papaya salad), but the service is always very slow-going. The poor owner (I assume he's the owner) seems to be like a hampster running around in a wheel and not getting anywhere. I think this is why so many folks have given up and just get to-go orders (for which we noticed the long wait to even pick up food and pay). Very few tables available for dine-in. This was pretty good, but not great. The tofu spring roles were good. My daughter liked the pad see ew noodles. The kung pao chicken was just ok. It is REALLY small, but we found a seat at 12:30. The reason for only 3 stars: I ordered tofu with broccoli (lunch special) and the tofu was good, but there were two tiny tiny pieces of broccoli and a bunch of carrots. I love their food!!!! My girlfriend and I always get the yellow curry chicken, tom something soup (sorry I can't remember the name!) and coconut rice with mangoes. It's always good, and the rice is actually sticky and cooked the right way, so we love it! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the service can be slow and there's almost never any seating left since it's such a tiny place. I have to agree with some other reviewers about this place. It is indeed very tiny. It is so small that I don't feel comfortable to dine there. So claustrophobic! We ordered here twice and I think I won't go back. They don't have the usual fish dishes that I normally see at a Thai restaurant. :( When I had only 2 orders and they were just for pickup, they said I had to wait at least 45 minutes! When I got there, I still had to wait! Their service is too slow. If they have one chef, they should have some assistant to help out in the kitchen so that the orders can come out faster. Giving that if I had to wait that long and if the food was up to "Thai" standards, I would be ok. Personally, I think it has some Chinese dishes there and their dishes are pretty "fusion". I don't think Pad See Eew has broccoli in it but here they do. Pad Thai was just a 'Meh" version. It is so plain and doesn't have the taste of real Pad Thai that I tried at other places. There was a steady stream of take out pickups and the place was almost full, so I guess they're doing alright. Those Yelpers who rated this place 4-5 stars must be happy with the food, that's the main thing I guess. One major clue is that all the customers are non-Asians. As someone who have lived and worked in Thailand for many months, I'd say the food here is Chinese Thai (dumplings, wonton,etc.) and even then is far from authentic or good. The papaya salad is tasteless, the fried rice is horrible, and the tom yum soup is watery. The service is super slow with only one waitress running around like crazy, and the guy at the counter spends all his time with the on-line orders and still mixes them up terribly, judging from the pissed-off people who came to pick up. Anyhow, if you don;t know any better and like the food, good for you! Me, I'm not going back. To add what someone else said, they have really limited seating here. This is made worse when someone has a party there. Why someone would have a party at a random hole in the wall restaurant, I have no idea. In any case, we couldn't find a seat and ended up driving around Tustin for a while before deciding we really wanted to try the place. Anyway, when we got back, seating had opened up so we got lucky. To call the place a hole in the wall is a bit deceiving. The place is ridiculously small, and it seems pretty mom and pop and owned by immigrants, but the food and the cooking is all class. We ordered the Tofu Delight, Beef Satay, and Chicken Pad Thai. The Tofu delight was probably my favorite out of the three, and I don't usually like tofu. It's fried tofu fingers (?) along with a really tasty thin peanut sauce with actual peanuts in it. Really cool part - they carved a vegetable flower in the center of the dish. I have no idea why, but I was surprised and impressed. The flavor of the Pad Thai was pretty mild, but was too bad. It came with Fried Rice (though I don't like fried rice) and Fried Wontons. The wontons were mostly noodle so Jackie W. and I weren't sure what exactly was inside them. So, while that was disappointing, the dipping sauce was really good (and I like fried noodle anyway). The Beef Satay was great (strangely, it came last despite being an "appetizer"). I kind of wish it had more of a sear on it, but I just like crispy and burnt things. This one came with a thick peanut sauce (whoever thought of making nuts into sauces is a genius). Dessert was a complimentary sweet milk thing with mochi inside. My friend lives in Tustin and we felt like Thai Food. He searched on Yelp and we found Sutha Thai Kitchen. The rating were good and we took the word of those ratings. This place is in a small shopping mall strip and restaurant is small, but don't be fooled by the look. The food was actually really good with flavor and an array of items to choose from on the Menu. Yellow Curry (comes with rice) - If you're in the mood for it, this is a good choice 3. Sticky Mango Rice (which goes for about 8 bucks) - you get a whole mango with sticky rice. It's the perfect way to top off your meal. With these three, your bill will come out to $28, not including tip. The place truly is a hole in the wall w/ only a few tables inside and service can be slow as it seems like a family operation. I wish i could give half stars then this place would receive a rating of 3.5. We were craving thai so we came here for lunch. It was about 2 p.m. and I could tell by the empty dishes on every table that we had just beat the lunchtime crowd. We were seated almost immediately. We tried their wallet friendly lunch menu. I ordered the phad thai and husband ordered the orange chicken. The lunch combos come with soup or salad, egg roll (which was really wontons) and the choice of white or fried brown rice. I had the salad, it was okay, and husband had the soup which he said was pretty good. My phad thai was good and was his orange chicken, but I was slightly disappointing that I didn't enjoy it as much as Yelp reviewers had me believing I would. Great Thai food in the Tustin, CA area. Location is very small but cute. I would recommend doing a take out order rather than dining in as it is sometimes hard to find a table. Calling in an order can be difficult too since they do not have a multiple phone line system or call waiting. Expect to get a busy signal for the first several times you try to place a togo order. There aren't very many tables (I think maybe 3 or 4) but thank goodness we came during an off peak time. This is a hole in the wall. There isn't much space inside but the food is delicious. Be careful about the spice level though, because it is spicy! I once told them spicy and had tears in my eyes, even though I can handle my spice well. Medium is pretty spicy so if you can't handle spice, then definitely stick to mild. I love their Veggie Pad Kee Mow. It is super flavorful, fresh, and just plain delicious. Their green curry is very very good as well, but I don't like their rice. For many years, I've been searching for a Thai place that I love and thanks to Yelp, found it. We did take out. My husband ordered the #3 dinner with Garlic Shrimp and a salad. Loved it! The fried shrimp that came with it were so yummy and like nothing I'd ever seen. I had the #75 (chicken & eggplant in green curry & coconut sauce). I could NOT stop eating. Holy Panang, Batman! I love this place. It's close to home and the staff are kind and patient. If you're expecting amazing 5-star service you will probably be disappointed but it's because YOUR expectations are off. This is a very small and unassuming but pleasant hole in the wall next to a dry-cleaners and florist across the street from the Michael's on Irvine Blvd. I come here and feel like it's a little family place and they give you your space kind of how like your own family would. I personally like that. I have been here twice in a week already and the second time I walked in 15 minutes before they were closing for lunch and they still let me stay and finish my meal while they had their lunch break. That's really great service there, and they were really gracious about it. Even as other people were walking in they still took their orders and gave them their takeout.. talk about nice! That's their lunch break, man! I have tried their Tofu Pad Thai and their Tofu Panang.. OMG. Their tofu is sooooo good, it's nice and firm but silky and takes on a good flavor like properly marinated and cooked tofu should. The flavors of their dishes are great, nice and homelike (though I'm not Thai so I have no idea what that would be like but I imagine it's like this! lol). The portions are not enormous but for a girl like me with an average-to-light appetite, I had enough for leftovers for dinner later that evening. I reckon if I were really hungry I would have eaten my whole dish in one sitting. I asked for medium spicy and they still put it on the milder side, I guess because I look white, haha, but I appreciate them erring on the side of caution, because I could always ask for extra chili if I want to spice up my dish. Next time I am looking forward to trying their Pineapple Fried Rice, yellow curry and maybe Drunken Noodles (which they call something else on their menu but it's basically rice noodles in a spicy broth with Thai basil, very tasty stuff). I will take friends next time so we can partake of these highly spoken of desserts! --- NOTE: I have noticed a lot of people talking about slow service. I have never experienced this. I have also showed up at off-peak times, so I don't know if people here are showing up on a weekday at noon or on early Saturday family outings or what. The place is literally like 5 tables, 4 of which seat four people, and the 5th seats 2, and then 2 outside tables that might seat 2-4. So if you can imagine, this place is TEENY TINY. The quality of the food is great, and though the menu says $8.99, the last two times I went I was charged $7.99 so I think they lowered their prices. When I was there I got my food really really fast. I wouldn't say the servers are quick on their feet, but it's not like it's a mile walk from the kitchen to the table so if you were to hustle in a place like that I'm sure there would be accidents. If you like good food but worry about a wait, I guess try and go during off-peak hours or order takeout. I haven't had an opportunity to go at peak lunch hours so I can't speak for the service during those times. But when in doubt, order takeout. I give it an excellent Stamp. They have 3 spice level, hot is really hot so CAUTION. I would go for the medium level.
