    Vanilla Bean Matcha

Amazing decor. Ordered their vanilla bean matcha, it was exactly what I needed. Great nice blend and taste!

My wife and I stopped here for a cold black sesame matcha. Definitely a rich, refreshing, flavorful pick-me-up drink on a hot summer day. As it was a really hot day, the cafe was a very nice place to hang out and relax to escape the heat. The decor is stylish with a nice use of wood and concrete, plants, and space, and the chairs and tables are comfortable to sit at. The staff was very friendly. They sold already prepared meals in a refrigerated display area. The food looked good ---- something I might try on a future visit.

Visited this location because of a pop up and was able to sample a featured drink. The space is fairly large as there is space for seating and a couple of seats outside. They have a wide range menu for a cafe and even serve other snacks and beverages to purchase. I tried the aura reset drink that had coconut water, aloe Vera, mint, rose and a butterfly pea flower matcha cold foam and it was....different. Unfortunately the more and more I sipped, it wasn't that tasty and I had to purchase the drink for a freebie which was ($9). The staff were nice and informative and that enhanced the experience and ofc the owner of Mara was sweet welcoming and friendly. I would recommend that when cafes do collabs they don't force you to purchase a particular drink based on dietary restrictions or preferences and make it "with any purchase" just so it's doesn't feel like you wasted money on a drink you don't finish because it was nasty. I would gladly return to try other menu items since this was a featured drink that doesn't reflect the quality of their other drinks.

This is the cutest little cafe and market serving up grab n go meals, matcha and coffee plus curated retail goods. Located in Larchmont Village, I've never visited a spot quite like Sua Superette. As the meme goes " I'm in a very Chinese time of my life" and I feel like this cafe and market really embodies that but in a very modern and LA way I got a black sesame matcha and it was one of the most delicious drinks. I'm obsessed and hope I can come back soon and try out some of their grab n go foods.

How did I just discover this place!! This is legit Matcha heaven!!! I ordered the black sesame matcha with pistachio milk and it is legit my new favorite drink in town. It's such a gorgeous place & high quality ingredients - I'm sad I don't live closer...

Suá Superette is a modern, Asian-inspired cafe and market in Los Angeles known for its healthy, grab-and-go Sichuan Chinese food made with organic, local ingredients, offering options that are dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, and often gluten-free and nut-free. It features a minimalist aesthetic and serves dishes like crispy chicken, mapo tofu, and various noodle bowls, alongside coffee and unique drinks like matcha lattes. Service was fast and quick and the place was very clean and spacious with plenty of seating areas.

This place was so vibey and cute. We got a cappuccino and the seasonal Aura Reset which was refreshing and not overly sweet. The staff was kind and friendly and made being there pleasant. I would definitely go back and try some of the food because it looked delicious.

What We Ordered: -Black Sesame Latte $7.00 -Strawberry Matcha Latte $8.00 My wife saw a recommendation for this Sichuan coffee shop on Red Note, and since we have different coffee shop preferences, I wasn't sure what to expect. I decided to give it a try. Edwin, the barista, was incredibly warm and friendly, and his recommendations of the Strawberry Matcha Latte and Black Sesame Latte were spot on. I particularly enjoyed the Black Sesame Latte; it was a unique twist on a classic, unlike anything I've had in the States. The latte was good overall. I also appreciated the grab-and-go options with their cooler stocked with drinks, snacks, and sandwiches. The space was beautiful, but the limited seating and long stays of some customers made it hard to find a place to sit. Overall, I'm glad we checked it out, but while the drinks were decent, they didn't really impress me. I wouldn't be rushing back.

    Organic Jade Rice Congee
    Katelyn N.

It was my first time visiting Sua and it was disappointing to say the least. I ordered the chicken and rice, organic rice congee, cucumber salad, and matcha latte with pistachio milk to go. My friend enjoyed the chicken and rice and cucumber salad. I got the congee which was so disappointing. The congee was drenched in soy/salty sauce. The picture was taken after I dumped some of the sauce out, only to see that the bottom of the cup is also drenched in sauce. It looks nothing like the photos when I ordered online or on yelp. When I called the shop to tell them about this, the person that answered my call seemed to know that my congee was done poorly.. but still decided to send me home with it. The matcha latte with pistachio milk was $10 and I couldn't tell if the pistachio milk made a difference. It was good, but tasted like a regular matcha that should've been $6.

    Suá Matcha Latte, Sherry Colada
    Morgan L.

Easily one of the worst matchas I've ever had.... It's not smooth, or creamy. It's watery. It's chunky. It tastes artificial (my fault for being adventurous and trying 'Sherry Colada' lol). And it was EXPENSIVE. Please see photo. What the????? How are they making these things.

I always walk by this place in my way to my skin laundry appointment but never stop in . Today was my first time here and this place is so cute it always caught my eye. They have coffees, expressos, matches and more. The have packaged salads, pasta, chicken with an Asian flare. The aesthetic is too cute and cozy and modern... I love it.. so hip and cool. Such a cool place to hang for a quick bite and drink in the go. I was welcomed with a warm greeting and the service was great.

Their yuzu matcha is so refreshing I normally go there for the their grab n go dessert/sweets (mochi brownie, chocolate tofu pudding, pastries), unique and delicious!

This place is definitely a place I would recommend! I love that the staff here are super friendly and welcoming! The seating is quite spacious! But the drinks here are even better! I wish I lived closer because I would be a regular here!

This place is an institution. After I wrote that sentence, I felt like I was trite. And like I said…read moresomething but not really. Like, one time I was watching Project Runway, a season finale episode, where the designers make their own creations, and do not have to make their ensembles from shredded newspaper or bird seeds or pinata remnants. And after a so-and-so of the fashion industry said, "I wanted to go and rip that jacket off the model." This other time, I saw a poster for a coming musical and it said, "stop everything you are doing, and go this musical now" says this important person in the theathre world. What am I am trying to say is that the comment I wanted to do this immediately or drop everything and do this immediately is so overwrought and widely used that it lost all meaning. Kind of like calling this place an institution. So I will call this place what I should to not be drown in my own trite. One time I went to this place and I went cause I was invited to a birthday party. And it was a large group of people. Me and a friend debated if Penny, from the Big Bang, had eaten at this place. She was also in Charmed--- it is a household name, I can't remember it. So this place is famous enough to be a go to move, and it has many pictures of celebrities that have gone there. The food is also super good, so this place, like I said is an insititution. When I went there a second time, I was more aware of the place I was visiting and kind of was ready to receive its Chinese fare with an unhinged jaw. I was dining with a friend, the same friend that I had the is that Penny from Big Bang debate? It was not. She eventually one. But like she and I ate here again, without knowing we were going to the same place. I would say its a small world but.... She and I ate with gusto. It does not take a lot to know that the speciality of the house is their slippery shrimp. They also have slippery chicken and slippery tofu. Super good, sweet, sour but it was not sweet and sour sauce shrimp, it had differences. I am not sure what. There were some heat notes but not like terrible heat. So I am not exactly sure what this place does to make their slippery sauce but let us just that it was delicious and different than other Chinese food sauces. Ronnie and I had the works. Rice, Beef with Brocoli, Pan fried dumplings, and dumpings. It was the type of Chinese food that was so good a coke was needed to balance the decadent saltiness of the fare. Yeah, that might not make sense but I wrote what I wrote. We had eniugh food to share between the two of us. It was that type of meal, where leftovers were welcomed and made sense. They were not left over, they were left untouched because it would be a shame to not enjoy them later. The service was great. The place felt traditional, and like it took you to an alley in China to eat a grandmother's food who knows how to use a Wok and pinch dumplings so they stay close for good. I saw this bad review that skewered this place. And I am like wow! How can we be so different. Not like Ying and Yang Different, more like flutter and flatten. But taste is subjective, so decide for yourself if this place is a peacock worthy of its feathers or a tiger with its claws clipped.

It was a but busy when we got there but luckily we got seared pretty shortly after arrival. We originally wanted to sit at the bar, but opted for a table for less wait time. When first looking at the menu we were shocked by the prices. I knew immediately i wanted to get the hui tou potstikers with pork and noodles. We ended up adding on the hongkong style wontons too. To my suprise the wontons arrived in a delicious and warm broth, keeping them perfectly moist and plump. The broth was so delicious even on a hot day, tasting faintly of sesame and scallion. Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. Everything was prepared wonderfully and had tremendous flavor. I recommend trying their Hui Tou, stuffed with pork or beef, pork and leek pancakes, they also have vegetarian options. Their pork shumai was delicious, xiao long bao's soup dumplings were flavorful. Delicious. I definitely need a second trip here to try their soups and more of their variety of dumplings.

The way it's set up is pretty cultural. It reminds me of some hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant the way they have metal utensils at each table. It's almost like a self-serve system to certain tools which is pretty common. I haven't drank water out of metal cup in a long time, so that was nostalgic too. We tried a variety of dishes to get a fuller understanding of their menu of what this place has to offer. I was really looking forward to the beef roll because it's usually one of my favorite dishes, but this one was disappointing. I define a good beef roll as one that's a good mix of sweet, savory and refreshing. The meat makes it savory and the veggies are supposed to counter it make the whole dish feel light. If someone disagrees with me, please share your thoughts on what a beef roll should taste like. The one from Pine & Crane was drenched in sauce. I could not taste the meat or the veggies and the whole thing tasted like a stick of sugar. The mapo tofu was on point, but this is quality you can probably make at home. The flavor profile was very similar to that of stuff you'd get a grocery store. The three cup jidori chicken came recommended, so we tried it. The flavor is very pungent and goes well with rice.
