At first the menu seems overwhelming, and you wonder how the kitchen can make so many different varied options. But the result was amazing. Eat here!! Ask for Katie bc she's amazing!! The food is all delicious and the service made the meal! We seriously wanted to take Katie along for the rest of the roadtrip! She was so sweet and fun, knowledgeable about the menu, and not at all judgy when we ordered waaaay too much food. Small chain that recently opened a spot on the South side of the square in Paso Robles. They did a lot of clever things we like: 1. They remodeled to include a balcony that overlooks the sidewalk. This both opens up the Covid-friendly (is that a thing?) open air space and draws in customers that would otherwise not know that the restaurant is even there. 2. The food menu, like others have mentioned, is very cool. You have a choice of two, three, or four small items for a fixed price. The sliders, sides, and salads are all very high quality and encourage you to try something new. It's easy to try something new when it only costs $6 or so. 3. They also have great mixed drinks, way beyond green mixers bottles behind the bar. Custom new mixologist drinks and classic favorites. 4. Finally, the waits staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and fast. You couldn't ask for more. Definitely a do-over, and soon! read more

The drinks were good, customer service was great. We were not too impressed with the food. Macaroni and cheese was all macaroni, not much cheese to it, only melted on the top. Sliders on the ciabatta buns were very tough and a little hard to eat. The garlic fries were great in taste but most of them were about an inch long. Brussel sprouts were tasty. read more

The food is good ..for me the disappointing thing was the size of a burger ...two of us ordered them and both were small ...I don't need a giant burger , however theirs was very small almost slider size ..so for the price Not a good deal ,also the burger with mushrooms..? ..three mushrooms so again really why not smother that mini burger with mushrooms.. read more

A great takeout experience! Excellent packaging, they gave food in a pre-plated package, which enhanced the eating experience at home. We got the beet and quinoa vegetarian slider, Brussels sprouts with caramelized onion, and the Farro salad. All items were delicious, receptionist was kind and helpful. Was not really a great experience. Decor is lovely. Our waiter was just okay. My grandaughter ordered the duo. Lettuce only salad included French fries $14.00. I ordered the tuna poki. WAY to spicey. So ordered the Mac and cheese which was just okay. Was Kinda hoping they would have taken the poke off my bill, since I only had one bite. But they didnt They need to put their salads in a bowl, not on a plate over flowing onto the table. I'm just here vacationing but will not be coming back here again. I visit twice a year. read more

The food was yummy, what a fun way to order! The only downfall was that the service was pretty bad. Our server was inattentive and slow, and he blatantly ignored some of the guests at the table. Several of us are or have been restaurant managers, and we would be appalled to have one of our servers behave this way. Hopefully, it was just a bad day for him. read more

TASTE! was recommended to us by our hostess at a winery and it's a great find. The menu is huge and has almost too many options! As others noted, some portions are large. We weren't starving so we ordered a $20 TRIO to share. We picked two sliders -- Forest Burger and Pesto Chicken and the Quirky Quinoa salad. The salad was 5* and HUGE. The sliders were good, the burger was best. Having never dined here we didn't realize the sliders might need extra condiments and failed to ask for them with our take out order. Both sliders were flavorful but a bit dry. Overall we highly recommend and would definitely return. Ask for sauce or condiments for your sliders and try the quinoa salad. read more

Their shoestring fries are mysteriously amazing. What fries on earth taste good 2-3 hours after being cooked without being reheated, besides these? None! BRUTUS What an exquisite cuisine!!!! I would like apologize that this is a long review but it needs to be explained in this matter... I would like to say a THANK YOU to Miss Macy and Miss Cara for introducing us to the Taste! Craft Eatery! and of course Brutus our Frenchie Bulldog that per say, "broke the ice " to start the conversation in the Goodwill parking lot. Lol Once I found out what kind of food was served at this restaurant from these very professional and personable young ladies, it was exactly the food that my husband Rick and I (Annette) Williams really have a Hankering for!!! . Tri tip and lamb. Yum!! We went to the restaurant (Taste! Craft Eatery) and was seated with our Dog Brutus inside out of the heat. Moments later our waitress Madison informed us in a professional way that we needed to leave or eat outside with our dog Because dogs weren't allowed in the restaurant. We left the restaurant Knowing that our dog Brutus cannot be outside in the heat over 80°. Therefore, we walked a couple blocks to our truck and we're fixing to leave, When I Noticed a gentlemen talking to my husband it was the owner of Taste! Craft Eatery I soon found out as I listened to the conversation. Mr. Scott. He followed us to asked us to please come back with Brutus.. we are dog lovers and eat. Mr Scott apologized for the lack of knowledge of his staff and offered to pay for our meal. It took a minute for my husband to reconsider but yes we did! I would like to name a few of the staff the waiters and waitresses that are amazing!! I've already informed you about Macy and Cara the professionalism and the personability that Convinced us to go there. Taj (pronouncedLike the Taj Mahal) our waiter a well educated young man and I believe he'll go far in life.THANK YOU for explaining the menu and being very prompt with several cups of water and a bowl of water for Brutus too!! I'm going to start off by stating there is CHARGE for using a card to pay. I would not have eaten here had I known. The food definitely does not live up to the atmosphere and the service is mediocre at best- our server did the absolute bare minimum. Ordered the trio with 2 salads and fries. They all came on one small rectangular plate (everything falling off) and I thought it was strange they would serve a cold salad and hot fries combined. Not only did it not look appetizing but the fries were extremely greasy and the ranch that the salad was tossed in should not be classified as ranch. It's was thick and tasted like mayonnaise. Wouldn't go back. Ordered a skinny spicy margarita. I could hardly take a sip. It was so strong...and I like strong drinks but you couldn't even drink it. I sent it back and got a glass of wine since you can't screw that up. My friend got a lemon drop martini which tasted like lemonade... the opposite strength of mine. The slider came on a cold roll. I was expecting a brioche bun. The Brussel sprouts were horrible. You couldn't taste the vegetable, they had so much gooey sauce on it, it was disgusting. This menu is such a great concept for foodies. The opportunity to taste so many items on the menu without the cost of ordering 4 different entrees. No wonder this place is named Taste! Came to Taste for a friends bday dinner. There were 8 of us. I have been to Taste a couple times and the food was always good, this time not so much. I got the beet salad, it had about 3 little beets lots of greens no dressing so BLAND, I also got the spicy tuna the bread was ok but so much GREENS a not so fresh tomatoe on it and no sauce at all. As I looked around at everyone elses plates all I saw was GREENS(lettuce) I mean good grief! The service was ok, and one of the girls told the waitress it was a bday(which was very obvious) They brought alittle cake and CHARGED us for it. I just laughed. I will not be coming back. My husband and I were visiting and decided to try this place out for brunch, the food was totally delicious, & our server was awesome! They have a patio set up at the moment so that was great! We decided to return again the next day for dinner, unfortunately it wasn't the same experience! Our server was.. not helpful, my husband sat and waited for ketchup for about 15 min before the guy walked outside again saw us and ran back in... another 10 min.. until finally!!! KETCHUP!
