Was underwhelmed by my visit here, though perhaps I ordered the wrong pot. Came here for Father's Day lunch since they were offering $0.99 appetizers all weekend. When my party of 3 arrived around 11:30 am, it was pretty empty with one other party seated. For apps, we got the popcorn chicken and calamari. Both were fantastic, perhaps a tiny bit salty but overall the flavor was good. I shared the seafood lobster pot ($24.95) with my dad and we were both underwhelmed. There wasn't much seafood in the pot, instead it was full of veggies like napa cabbage and mushrooms. Other than the lobster tail, all the other seafood came in two's, like two small shrimp, two fishballs, two thin slices of fish, etc. They say this is a large size pot meant for sharing, but there's no way this can feed two people. Thank goodness we ordered appetizers to supplement, otherwise I would have left hungry. My friend ordered the veggie pot with tomato soup for $19.95 and really enjoyed his pot.
Mark was awesome great customer service! I really liked the popcorn chicken and the sweet potato fries! It was a nice add on for the options to add dumplings to the. The only thing is I wish they had oyster sauce, but everything else was good. Thank you Mark Quiet ambiance it might have been really hot that day but I wish I could feel the air more lol the Thai tea was really good too!
Came in on a wed. for dinner. Not too busy and was seated right away. Hot pot comes in an individual bowl and is most porked based with a water based at request. Variety with the veggies and fish cakes can use some work, but all of the necessary ones are there. Meat options are limited on silver with better cuts on the gold tier. Variety of appetizers are also decent with Mala skewers, fries, calamari, dumplings, takoyaki, and rice bowls. Sauce station is lacking sesame oil but does have sesame sauce. Amanda and Angelina were friendly and checked on our table frequently. Overall, friendly staff and decent food for Northridge.
Meat too tough!!! Inedible! And we ordered their premium selection. Not enough selection for add ons. The meat is not only tough.. it was also too fatty. And you would think it will be tender with the fat but no.... And when they saw that we didn't eat the meat, they wanted to charge us an extra 10% for the left over!!! Never again. We drove 2 hours for hot pot and would never go back!!!!
Caution before you visit! The restaurant's reel advertises "$22.95/$23 All You Can Eat" and emphasize unlimited skewers and other appetizers. However, it does not disclose that there are two different AYCE tiers. If you're expecting to receive the skewers and other appetizers shown in the promotion, you'll actually need to order the $28.95 GOLD option. I couldn't find any explanation of these two tiers anywhere on their Instagram page. I also noticed someone asked about the AYCE prices in the comments, and the restaurant replied: "$22.95 for lunch & $28.95 for dinner with unlimited meat, appetizers and our signature rice bowl." That response still doesn't explain that there are different menu tiers or that the skewers and some of the items shown in the promotion are not included in the lower-priced option. I personally found the promotion misleading because it gave me the impression that the advertised items were included with the $22.95/$23 AYCE. Just make sure you know which menu you're ordering before you go.
We were craving hot pot but didn't wanna spend an arm and a leg at an ayce shabu. Thank god for northridge and tasty pot! The decor inside is super cute and very on theme. Great selection of sauces (my bf loved the satay and the soy garlic hit home for me), really great attentive service even tho u could tell the server was the only one working the floor. We shared the tomato hotpot and calamari. They were both sooo good. Love the spicy salt on the calamari. Maybe bc we have smaller appetites but we found the serving size perfect. Our server even brought extra broth for us to take to go:) such a great experience will def be back!
Tasty Pot at Northridge in the San Fernando Valley is a great spot for hot pots. We've eaten at Tasty Pot twice and both visits the staff provided excellent customer service. They are consistent with providing great care and excellent customer service to their diners. They are also one of the few restaurants that label their menu with ingredients and allergy information. We love to frequent restaurants that provide both excellent customer service and cater to families with food allergies. We ordered the Cheesy Milk Hot Soup, Curry, Hot Soup, Beef Hot Soup, Tomato Hot Soup and Fried Calamari. Delicious, plentiful and flavorful hot pots with lots of beef, shrimp, scallops, crabs and vegetables along with muscles. Tasty Pot did not disappoint. Their Fried Calamari is also good, crispy and crunchy. We also appreciated the fact that their base soups vary and you have the option to choose none peanut and non sesame broth soups especially if you're a family with food allergies. We can't wait to come back and try other items on Tasty Pot's menu. In the meantime, we will continue to tell our family and friends about Tasty Pot especially our family and friends with food allergies.
Super tasty broth options!!! Menu shows the pricing on the top right of the sheets and they also vary depending on lunch period or dinner period. Lunch pricing is until 4PM I believe. I like that the menu also easily shows if there's nuts included in the dish!!! Usually pretty slow when we come in, so the server is very attentive and is easy to grab the attention of. Perfect for when it's cold outside and I think it's a good spot to go to. Parking lot has plenty of free parking usually but there's a lot of businesses in the area. I only wish the shrimp and the crabs is de-shelled already so it would be easier to eat. Plenty of ingredients are put in the soup and gives a good hearty meal.

Best hotpot in the Valley! Here's our experience: Picking this spot was a change from our usual hotpot places around San Gabriel Valley, like Pasadena and Arcadia. Luckily, it was their grand opening when we visited, and they had a promotion offering free drinks for every pot. The restaurant was bustling, and we signed up for the waiting list around 6:30 pm. Fortunately, the wait for two people was relatively short, around 35 minutes. Once inside, we were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to wait for a server to take our order. Instead, we used a QR code on our table to scan and place our order, a convenient feature that I believe more restaurants should adopt. It allowed us to customize our hotpot to our liking directly from our phone. The ordering process was simple: Step 1 - Choose your pot. Step 2 - Choose a spice level from none to flaming spicy. Step 3 - Choose rice or vermicelli, with an option to substitute instant noodles for $1.50. We ordered two beef hotpots, one with no spice and the other mild, along with an extra add-on of beef slices and instant noodles. For drinks, we ordered Thai Milk Tea and Hokkaido Milk Tea which were good. The hotpots were excellent & delicious, and I can confidently say they rival or even surpass those at Boiling Point. The servers were friendly, refilled our pots with broths, and helpful in answering our questions. We look forward to returning to this place and are delighted to have another GREAT hotpot option in the San Fernando Valley. I would say that I was expecting better from how yummy it looked unfortunately it wasn't bad but wasn't the greatest either. The broth of what I got was very yummy but the beef was pretty dry. My boyfriends wasn't very flavorful. They do put a lot of stuff in it, but still a bit on the pricey side. Service was very good and the inside was very nice though. read more

I LOVE TASTY POT! A good friend introduced me to this restaurant and I've been 3 times in the last 3 weeks! I've been on a lifestyle change and have lost a considerable amount of weight. So Tasty Pot was perfect for me. So far, I've had the Sichuan Flavor Hot Soup, Beef Hot Soup, Healthy Veggie Soup, and the Thai flavor Soup. All are so healthy and very flavorful. I even ordered extra to take home. I'm a BIG FAN! The restaurant is clean & beautiful. The parking is very convenient. Also, I'd like to give a BIG THANK YOU to Nolan & Paul, our servers when we've come. They have such GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! They were so sweet and patient with us when we asked so many questions, or needed more broth to cool down our bowls when we ordered a tad spicier than we should have. Good hotpot brought down by sad boba. The hotpot is very flavorful, albeit a bit light on toppings, but for the price it's definitely worth a drive for. However, the boba had a watery taste and the boba itself were old and hard to chew. The servers were very attentive and brought everything out fast. They were also often dropping by to top up on soup, which was very much appreciated. I feel like I will be coming back, just not for boba. read more

Nice Taiwanese hot pot place in the Valley! Love that they have an extensive soup base options with various different combinations of meat and vege in each base. We tried the lamb and tomato. Both were really nicely flavored! We also ordered the popcorn chicken as appetizer, which was very tasty, met our Taiwanese taste buds standards. They also offer some boba drinks options but we didn't try any. There were quite a lot of seats but I don't think they have enough server so even though there were still empty table, we saw multiple groups waiting to get seated. It's finally the season for hot pot so I think I'll come back to try more different soup base this winter. read more

We found out this restaurant just opened a few weeks ago, and my wife and I were curious to try it out! We met Tan and the staff, and they were very courteous, accommodating and attentive! We appreciated the great service. I told them the story how this spot used to be a wild bar about 10 years ago, and we were laughing because now it's a calm and relaxing Taiwanese cuisine restaurant. We ordered the beef pot with noodles, and I can't express to you how enjoyable this food was. My wife and I ended up sharing it because the portion is really big. The beef was cooked perfectly, and not chewy. The broth was flavorful and veggies were the perfect complement. We will definitely be back! read more

We tried Tasty Pot in the Bay Area before so excited they opened a location in the valley! Our party got the Miso, Beef, Lamb, and Thai pots. The soup base was so flavorful that we didn't need to dip it in the different sauces that were provided on the side. Looks like it's their soft opening so the staff is still working through how to provide efficient service. The food still came within 15 mins of ordering. Would definitely recommend trying this place out and would come back again to try their other pots! read more

Tried out this new hot pot with a friend. It wasn't crowded on a weekday night. There was a lot of seating inside both tables and booths. It's like most hot pot places you order with a QR code which makes it convenient. We both ordered the mild curry hot pot sub beef instead of pork. It was yummy, just very spicy for me. I usually get mild at other hot pot places but I got spiced out for sure on this one. It could be the curry, but it did taste good too. You can order extra add ons- we did quail eggs. The calamari was also spicy but it was crunchy and tasty still. Warm and comforting food for the cold weather coming in! Will definitely try a different hot pot next time I stop by. read more

Its a misty and cold afternoon that is the right weather for hot soup cravings. Tasty Pot has a variety of selection in their menu. I had the beef hot soup with vermicelli. It is delicious and satisfying. Their beef is abundant with vegetables and seafood mixed in the pork broth soup. The pot keeps on boiling and will always have a hot soup to slurp on. You can always ask for extra soup for free. read more
Now I understand why they call it tasty pot. It is so tasty and the workers are so friendly and helpful one of the workers. I want to recognize is Jann he was really helpful. I really recommend this place to anyone! We got the Japanese Miso, Korean Dumpling, Beef, Seafood... pretty much all of them and my whole family enjoyed. They also have drinks served with each bowl: Green tea or Black tea. They also served us Thai Tea with Lychee and Winter Melon boba, SO GOOD GUYS. Finally a hot pot restaurant in the valley! I came here yesterday with my friend and it was around 5:30PM - it was pretty empty and we got seated right away. I noticed as we were eating it started to get busy around 6:15pm, but you still got seated right away. The way you order is through a QR code and they bring the food right out. Service was kind of slow, but this place just opened so it might improve later on as they get busier! There was only one person working when we arrived so it took a bit of time to get cups of water. Then I noticed a second employee arrive and help us. The restaurant is by CSUN so there were many students having dinner there. It's a pretty big restaurant with plenty of seating. I got the beef pot without any seafood. I like how you can alter your soup just the way you want it. If you want the beef pot with a different soup base you can change it for $1. The broth is very flavorful and rice - the beef was a bit tough to eat. I would come back here when i'm around in the valley! Parking can get full fast so it might get tricky during lunch and dinner. Delicious individual hot pots! This location is brand spanking new so of course everyone should have a grace period of learning! I got the beef pot and usually I need tons of sauce on my pots but the broth was so flavorful and clear tasting it barely needed anything! The pots came out at a rapid speed and all the ingredients chosen in it were delicious and filling. Def a new staple! read more

I am a hot pot l o v e r & usually drive further to get good hot pot. I decided to give this spot a try and it's fairly good. We were seated within 5ish minutes of arriving and sat in a booth. The restaurant is spacious and they have booths and tables. The ambiance is nice and bright! You order from your phone--which as an introvert I really appreciate lol. We ordered the popcorn chicken appetizer -- delish! There's 12 hot pots to choose from but they're all customizable: you can choose level of spice, substitute meats, add or remove some toppings, etc. I got the Japanese Miso and subbed the pork with beef for an additional charge. The soup base was ok, it wasn't my favorite miso I've tried, but wasn't bad either. Service was so so good! They're very attentive without being overbearing and they were so nice. I was really impressed by the service! We also ordered a Hokkaido milk tea, which we had to check on as it took a little long, but our server was very apologetic and brought it (and an extra) promptly. SO GOOD!! I'm usually not much of a hotpot fan, but this place changed my mind. Ordered the beef hot pot, which was more than enough food and so, so yummy. You have the option for choosing spice level which is also great. Relaxed ambiance and very clean, not to mention we were immediately seated and met with attentive and friendly service. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I think to sum up my thoughts on this place, it's that, "it's fine" for the valley and proximity, you'll get a nice hotpot experience and eat good food. But It's not necessarily gonna be the first place I think about when I really wanna satisfy a hotpot craving. More of a "oh this place is near so lets just go here" The thing that stood out the most here was that the staff were really courteous, nice and tried to accommodate every question and request that I had. (less sugar on my drink, hotter plate etc. etc.) And that their ordering system is SUPERB, you scan a QR code, it takes you to a website and you just specifiy whatever you want and it's all automated. Really efficient and wonderful. Parking was easy on that day but Im not sure how it is most days. I've tried this hotpot place with coworkers a few times now and have to say it's pretty darn good! Their menu is pretty expansive as they have a variety of different broth flavors, appetizers and even boba! The portion sizes are surprisingly large and the spice level can be adjusted to satisfy every type of heat seeker. I really appreciate how each hotpot can be customized to one's own preference where you can include or exclude certain ingredients. They even provide broth refills! The restaurant itself has plenty of seating, consisting of booths and tables of various sizes. Service appears to be pretty fast as our party of six got our food in less than 15 mins. If you are looking for hotpot in the Northridge area, then this place is a must try! read more

I grew up with tasty pot in the Bay Area, Newark, Milpitas, San Jose, you name it! I was so excited they opened this in northridge since I'm here for school- it's like getting a taste of back home. The facility was super clean and about dead when we came around 6:30 ish but started to fill up quick! The staff is super friendly. -1 one star for the inconvenience that was caused to us but the staff was aware of the problem and took care of it quickly. Will be back again, hope next time is better.. read more

Amazing hot pot experience!! We're so happy to have this hot pot place opened up in the valley. Quality and taste are even better than Boiling Point in our opinion. We ordered Beef Flavor and Thai Flavor. They are both very tasty with a lot of different ingredients and amazing broth. We can finish the soup without the lingering taste of msg like other places. The place is spacious, clean and has very nice ambiance. They just opened less than a week, so servers are still in training and require a bit of patience. But overall, we received friendly service from the beginning to the end. Very happy and will definitely come back!!! read more

Fist thing I gotta say about this place is the service is AMAZING! The hot pot however was ok. The best part of the hot pot would be the broth, all the other ingredients were pretty basic. Nothing really stood out, but it was still good to eat. The atmosphere inside really sets the tone of the night with the music, decoration, and lights. There is plenty of parking space so you can park easily. The dipping sauces they have on the table for you is all worth trying! This would be the best hot pot the valley has to offer. read more

I came in a couple of weeks ago during a rainy day. I had read up on the place and wanted to give it a try. It was so delicious and made it better because of the rain. I do like how you can order your meal from your phone but also have the option of having someone take your order. This was explained to me and I appreciated that. The hot pot itself was awesome and delicious. They are very generous with the portions and the option to refill the base if you want it. I'm definitely coming back soon, probably when it rains later this week hahaha read more
