This is a really nice location to have breakfast. it is served all day. The food is really good and it just hits different because it's up in the mountains. The service was really friendly and the way to be seen there was not that long we did around maybe 15 minutes but you can enjoy the outdoors after eating breakfast you can walk around the village for dessert and just enjoy the scenery. We came here 5 months ago and I had the Orange Walnut Salad. I've been craving it ever since so we popped in for breakfast today so I could try the Denver Omelette and pancakes. Both were amazing and I got Biscuits and Gravy for the side which was delicious even if I was so full I could only eat a few bites. We shared the two meals and I also ordered the Orange Walnut Salad to go which is now dinner. I think the first time I ordered this salad I didn't even add dressing because it was so flavorful. It was frustrating. We sat down and ordered, then waited for an hour. When we talked to a server they denied we had ever ordered. They didn't apologize. Mind you, this was on a patio with servers going back and forth the entire time- they just overlooked us and then acted as it wasn't their fault. We also had to wave them down to get a refill on coffee. It's particularly confusing because they didn't seem very busy. It's important to note that it is cash only, but the food is delicious, and the menu is huge. Every single time I've been it's been very crowded and I always have to wait a short while but the wait is worth it. Today the wait was 10 minutes, but it's the best in town so I can't imagine going anywhere else. Today I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast with an egg on the side and it was fantastic. Breakfast is something I don't normally eat or enjoy. Never been a fan of eggs, so I don't usually get 'breakfasty' foods. That being said the cinnamon corn bread is absolutely wonderful. I did a 'kids' meal with ham and French toast, no eggs. The service was good and they kept refilling my ice tea. We ate on the patio and we enjoyed seeing the dogs and speaking to their pet parents. We recently dined at restaurant in Big Bear Lake and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The service was ok we were seated immediately, drinks ordered. I asked for tea. He came back with water with a splash of tea. Brought me another drink. We ordered regular breakfast food, subpar at best. the potatoes were still raw and hard with no seasoning, the eggs were powered. We also had a 2 egg with polish sausage. Maybe our expectations were too high.. but if you reference to my photo I added, it's a hot dog. The prices were unreasonably high for the quality of the meal. Overall, it was not worth the time or money, and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience in Big Bear. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area that are worth checking out instead. Grizzly manor on the main blvd is better. Me and my friends went here on a Monday morning for breakfast before we went snowboarding! Upon our arrival, there's a sign that says cash only, but they have an ATM by the bathrooms. The bathrooms were small but cleanly. Also, this restaurant is located in the heart of Big Bear, so wait times vary from 30min- 1hour depending on the hour of day. Was disappointed after our meal at Teddy Bear and confused at some of the raving reviews. Came for lunch so maybe their forte is breakfast. The chili fries were not good, pretty much inedible. The chili tasted as if it was canned and heated in the microwave and the fries were super soggy. The pastrami was decent but the lettuce in the side salad was wilted. The tomato soup is creamy and grilled cheese was yum. Their broccoli and cheese was also yum too. My husband got the pastrami sandwich which he destroyed but we were all impressed with the PERFECT FRIES!!! Long crispy hot fries that you bite into a soft fluffy center!
