GREAT views of the water from this restaurant! It has a cozy and fun atmosphere when you enter and you also get a chance to sit outside (right next to the water) if you prefer that option. Coming from Arizona, we have a knack for Mexican food. The margaritas were good. Our server recommended a spicier tequila for the Fuego which we denied for our first round, but requested for our second round and were pleased. The calamari was great, it was on the cusp of too heavy of a batter but still lighter weight, the way we like it. I enjoyed my fajitas and loved the lettuce wrap option. My husband enjoyed the enchiladas. While we've had better, this place was delicious, what we were looking for, and our server was friendly and accommodating. Visited Temazcal in Seaport for a get together with friends. The food was delicious and the cocktails were ON POINT ( try their fuego margarita or their Oaxaca paloma). Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to check on us in case we needed anything. Our food was really good! Parking is limited around the area but there is plenty of garages to park on. The appetizers were good, and we were excited to order our entrees but we were all disappointed. How you can mess up chicken fajitas is a head scratcher, it wasn't good. We opted to eat outside which was absolutely perfect on the ocean best view. I had a drink that was sweet and strong fmcalled Besos. We tried the lobster guacamole for starters absolutely delicious!!!!! This place is not good. Even the excellent location and view are not enough to trick me into coming back for a 3rd visit. The staff is utterly disinterested, particularly the hostess we had. Drinks? Weak, expensive, and they can't even fill the glasses. Food? Salty uninspired fast food type Mexican. How does this place exist in an area with so many better options? We were very happy with the authenticity of the food - we got the Vegetarian Nachos, Margarita , Roja Chicken Enchiladas and Vegetarian Chilaquiles. The price was slightly expensive but reflective of the upscale dining & ambience. The margarita was amazing, great fruity notes. The enchiladas was pleasantly spicy, which my mom and I enjoyed. Wow! Temazcal is a place I will literally dream about. We stopped in for a beautiful lunch on the wharf before traveling home and it was one of my favorite meals of our trip to Boston. Great customer service & tremendous food. We had a couple of the la casita margaritas which were delicious. They provide free chips and salsa (rojo, verde & frijoles). I ordered the verde enchiladas which were roasted chicken in corn tortilla with verde salsa & queso on top accompanied by a Mexican slaw and Spanish rice. SO GOOD! Your paying for the atmosphere which is hip, young and willing to pay a lot of money for food that shouldn't be this expensive. The quality is the issue not quantity. I got the chicken tacos, they slobbered them with sour cream. So it basically tasted like a sour cream taco, not good. I didn't notice anyone else finishing their meals either but the drinks flowed and we had fun. I appreciated them making room for our reservation. The staff were great!!!! I would go here every day if I can!! Everything we ordered was amazing!!! Very flavorful, rich and fulfilling!!! Appetizer portions were big! We were a party of 6 and 2 appetizers were enough. Our main dishes were superb! My mom loves Mexican food and she pretty much ate every last grain of rice on every plate! The steak was tender and well cooked, the scallops were so soft and went so well with the plantains on the plate. This was my first time trying Chile Relleno and the presentation and taste were fantastic!! We ordered Sangria as well.. and to be honest, it was just 'good'. Nothing special. But the dessert at the end really hit the spot! I'm not a huge fan of fried food but the churro was so crispy on the outside and smooth on the inside! I even loved the fried ice cream! The couple of times I've been here has only been for drinks. One of the times was for a networking event. I love the upscale, spacious atmosphere. The drinks at Temazcal are top-notch. As the name suggests, they specialize in tequila-based cocktails, and their selection of tequilas is impressive. I tried the "Spicy Margarita," which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of kick. I got to try some of the small bites available during the networking event which were delicious. Both visits I had very good, well-made cocktails. If I came back I would try their outdoor patio area that overlooks the water. read more

Hands down, the BEST mexican restaurant that I have ever been to in my entire life. This is such a great location for fresh, delicious, Mexican food. Their cocktails are on point and are definitely worth the price. The fish tacos and the carne asada tacos were so filling. They are a bit pricey, but hey, you're getting delicious food in Boston. It was also a very convenient dinner spot when we had planned to go see a concert right after at Rockland Trust. I will note that it's not a good idea to go when they are doing sound checks, but if you wanna hear a free show I would sit out on the deck by the water. read more

Opulent places along the waterfront are great places to go drinking. It doesn't matter who you're with. Places like this and Empire were practically invented so you could walk in with a business suit and leave with skid marks. Miss K and I were strolling along the water doing a shitty job of pretending like we both just wanted fresh air and exercise. We were both eyeing the restaurants with giant, Atlantic-facing windows knowing that the view was being wasted on holding hands. In we went. I ordered a shot of some tequila whose name I can't remember. I didn't shoot it though. I ordered it so I could sip it slowly. My buddy is a mezcal enthusiast and buys $100 bottles of silver. He suggested I let it sit on my tongue and lips before swallowing and to drink slowly. I guess it's important to usher the buzz into your brain like a guest of honor instead of firing it in like a booger from a noseblow. Madness. Not a philosophy I personally embrace but I'll try any crazy shit once. I thought it was going to be an ordeal until the bartender offered us chips and salsa. I had an idea. I was going to combine the sips of tequila with tiny amounts of salsa in the same mouthful. It would either cause more trauma than finding your dad wearing booty shorts in public or it would be as perfect as a New Mexico sunset. It turned out to be the latter. The burn of the distilled spirit and the smokiness of the salsas sang together perfectly. You get a green salsa, which is sweet and herby, a maroon salsa which has hints of pasilla chile and chipotle and is amazing, and you get a black-bean mixture enhanced with cheese. I barely touched the green salsa, instead alternating between the red and bean salsas to create fireworks on my tongue. Sometimes they would combine into one and it would feel like my tongue was being squeezed . . . in a good way. Other times, one or the other flavor would dominate. It was like dueling banjos minus the extra chromosome. To cap off the evening, I ordered the carne asada tacos and Miss K ordered the grilled salmon tacos. On many outings, she ends up ordering better food than I do. This was one of those outings. The salmon was crisp and charred on the outside and seasoned beautifully. My carne asada looked as appetizing as sliced beef can look, as you'll see in the photo, but it had no flavor. Beef needs a hand. It needs salt and pepper at a minimum. These tacos had none. I was willing to forgive that, however, because there was enough bean dip and salsa left to pour over the tacos. Then the fried tortillas fell apart. To be good, corn tortillas need to be made by hand that day and they don't need to be fried. So I dumped the filling into the side of rice instead. The tomato-infused rice was delicious and with the salsa poured on top, it somewhat salvaged the dish. It was not too far from great flavor but far enough that I wouldn't order it again. It was a tenth-in-the-marathon dish. You care about three people at the end of a marathon: First, last, and whoever you know personally. The last category is treated like first no matter what so no one really gives a fuck where they place. Tenth place vanishes from reality quicker than eyebrows in a meth lab. However, I will be back for those incredible salsas and perfect chips, the view, the service, and the atmosphere. read more
