I tried to call my order in and because the woman did not understand she hung up in my face and said the words "I do not understand "even though I just trying to ask what meat was in the gyoza and wanted to pay for extra sauce for my food. I then called back and asked why would you hang up on me instead of possibly letting me speak with someone else who may understand me?? I like this teriyaki joint. They offer quick service and quite a selection of teriyaki (some udon, yakisoba, basic bibimbap/short ribs and Chinese general tsao) for a very reasonable price of ~$8-12 pre tax. The korean lady at the counter is nice, kind and polite and I never felt rushed when deciding what to order. The portion is also quite big that you can probably split into 2 meals if you aren't too hungry. I typically get either the chicken teriyaki or the chicken katsu...but whatever I get, the thing I look forward to the most had always been their cucumber salad. The cucumber salad is fresh and I love how they lightly pickled their thinly sliced cucumbers with vinegar. It's very yummy and I definitely love it more than the typical mixed packaged salad/dressing you get at any other teriyaki joints. Unlike other places that often hand tie you to purchase additional drinks, this place also offers hot tea or iced water for free, too. Overall, this is a good place nearby that I don't mind stopping by for a quick meal. It's a no frill place if you just want a quick, tasty meal nearby home. read more

The food we ordered is very bland it does not taste like teriyaki sauce it taste like soy sauce mixed with some sort of sweetener. I ordered the steam vegetables and tofu with rice and it doesn't look like the picture at all in fact it looks pretty plain there's no flavor to it whatsoever and I asked for teriyaki sauce which they gave me which is basically soy sauce and sugar. It does not taste like teal teriyski sauce. I don't know how this place got a 4.9 star rating . I think its just college kids who eat there who don't really know what good food is because they're on a budget. My friend got the Gayoza and the breading that they use for it is not The right type of rapper because it's supposed to be like of a soft squishy substance & this is deep-fried it does not taste or look anything like gyoza. Its like pop in fresh dough wrapped around it. On top of that we ordered through Uber eats and we went to check out and it was one price and then when they got the order they adjusted the price and add an extra $10 because they changed their prices which would be nice if they let Uber eats know that so we are not surprised in the end. I like the this little place for lunch but as an Asian, I have to say that this is only OK and not as good as I thought from reviews. I think you can get better teriyaki chicken in the mall or other restaurants than here...but they have good price and good seats so I'd go there for lunch still. I like the teriyaki chicken, but it is not that crazy good as other was saying. You can probably get this type of teriyaki chicken everywhere! Also the rice are without sauce or anything. So I don't understand how it would be the best teriyaki place when there's no veggies and other sauce for rice or for side dish. And I found that the owner is Korean... You have got to try this place! I just started working in Seattle a few months ago coming from Auburn so didn't really know the area. I love teriyaki and there are just so many teriyaki places in Seattle it's hard to choose. This place is very close to my work so I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did! It is so delicious the meat is tender but cooked fully, the rice is great and get this they have a cucumber salad. I know that sounds weird and I thought so but after trying it it surprisingly goes well with the teriyaki. The pricing is great and the portions are large. For those on a budget they have lunch specials under $9 dollars and the portions are big too. The staff is always friendly and I have never had to wait longer than 5 min for my food. I've been coming to this Teriyaki spot for years and I absolutely love this place. Some of my go-to dishes are chicken katsu, chicken curry, spicy chicken, and tofu yakisoba, all of which are consistently delicious and of a healthy portion. I love the little touches that they add to meal, like the lightly pickled cucumber salad with your order and the complimentary tea if dining in. If I'm not too hungry, they can usually make two meals. The lady working the counter is also really friendly and remembers your usual orders. There is something about the neighborhood familiarity that makes you enjoy coming back over and over again to support a nice, local, small business. This is my favorite of all the numerous teriyaki spots in seattle. The cucumber salad is unique to teriyaki madness and definitely makes the meal unique and delicious. The house special is the best value and delicious. The chicken is succulent and sweet with the perfect amount of grill char. I usually get the kalbi short rib teriyaki because they are so flavorful and tender. The salmon teriyaki is also tasty but I would say the house special and the short rib teriyaki are the best on the menu. Don't skip on the gyoza either! They are crispy deep fried and come with a delectable tangy sauce. Get the 12 piece because you will want all 12! I would say I wouldn't recommend the Korean or Chinese dishes on the menu, the ones I've had were certainly good, but pale in comparison to the irresistible teriyaki. This place gets super busy during weekday lunch time with a ton of hospital workers and students. There is also no parking so plan your trip accordingly! I would say the one con to teriyaki madness is their prices, it is pricier than other teriyaki around but it's worth it. I contacted the corporate office and I was told yes employees need to be wear masks, and would address the issue with the owner. I used to live a block from here and recently moved to Madrona, but still had to make it back for my fix the other day! I love the spicy chicken and gyoza combo and always get it. Someone else reviewed it as pricey as $26 including tax for 2 orders, but that means $11 something each -- certainly what I'm willing to pay for the two meals' worth that I get! Sarah is always so nice and the service is extremely fast. The chicken is always perfectly grilled with just enough char, and plenty of sauce. So, I picked a Teriyaki place at random from the UberEats menu, and THE UNIVERSE IS SHINING ON ME. This place is deliciousness. I got the Pork Teriyaki and Pork Eggrolls. The eggrolls are maybe the best I've had in Seattle. Ever. The Teriyaki came with steamed rice and an awesome little pile of pickled cucumbers. Uh, pickles :) Anyway, they are darn good. The Spicy chicken is GREAT. It's very hot and very tasty. Don't blame me if it makes you cry like an anime girl. This is the best spicy chicken I've had in Seattle, and the rice and salad is a solid finish. Calling ahead of time is nice because the place is tiny and you end up standing around hovering over people eating their food. Parking can be a pain, but have patience damn it, because it is worth it. Just beware of the bank parking lot next door and their cadre of old men soldiers that patrol to make sure you aren't getting in the way of their non-existent patrons. Just when I was losing hope for Seattle teriyaki. I stumbled into Teriyaki Madness #3, Ordered a Chicken Teriyaki. I got to say this was some good Chicken and sauce, rice perfect, even the cucumber was excellent, most teriyaki shop give salads with their secret sauce or dressing, so this made a great impression, since I'm the type that claims no teriyaki is real except at Yum Yum in white center and Meadow in Tacoma.
