EDITED 3/16/2008 - This place has NEW ownership. Their food is NOTHING like the last place, I've tasted better teriyaki out of a microwave. They serve a salad of all cucumbers on the side of every dish and the cucumbers taste like they are tossed in sugar. GROSS. I will never be back. ALSO: If you go to their website, they have my original review for the prior owners posted for their customer reviews. I plan on writing them to remove it. I'd hate for people to think I have that bad of taste. Below was my review for the prior owners of Teriyaki Plus...I will miss them. --------------------------------------- YUMMMMMMM! This is *my* teriyaki place! It has recently replaced my exisiting teriyaki place which was just down the street (I Love Teriyaki) because they sold out to new owners who apparently don't know good teriyaki if it fell out of the sky and hit them in the kisser. Teriyaki plus has a large menu and serves fresh meats and veggies and has a fantastic teriyaki sauce recipe that keeps me coming back for more. Their portions are great and service is generally fast. They are full each day for lunch, so its a good idea to call ahead if you plan on coming in between 11:30-1pm. I am always so leary about trying new teriyaki/thai/chinese places because you NEVER know what to expect (msg horse meat?) - but Teriyaki Plus was a delicious find considering I must have passed it 100 times. I LOVE this place. They always get my order correct and they're quick to serve you. I always order a to-go and my food is always ready when I arrive to the restaurant. Their food is always great and the portions are more than enough! I recommend going to this place! read more

This is the best Teriyaki place in Washington. The owners are really nice and the chicken is by far the best chicken from any spot. The garlic sauce is also incredible. I come to this place probably 3-4 times a month at a minimum. Call ahead and order and it will be ready right when you walk in! Highly recommend. read more

Love this place for so many reasons! Ambiance: I love that they have current fun hit music playing to liven up my lunch hour. Food: I love their pork and chicken teriyaki! They are also VERY open to making changes and additions, I love that they provide a list of vegetables that are in the stir fry, etc. I'm slightly picky so I love the flexibility! Their cabbage salad with the garlic dressing is amazing. Service: Top notch! They know me by name and know all the little changes I like with my dishes. I love the addition of the orange for desert. I came in once and she could tell I was all stuffed up and sick and brought me free miso soup. C'mon! That's service that needs recognition. Portions: Huge! I'm a lawyer and practice at the nearby Kirkland Municipal Court and brought another lawyer from the firm there and he couldn't eat all of it, even though he is 200+ 6'2''! I Love, Love, Love this place! I've been coming here for years, so they pretty much know me by name. I usually get lunch from there. The place is small, but they've had a few upgrades over the years, so it's comfortable. It can get a little cold in there because of customers who are always coming in and out for take-out, so take-out is definitely the way to go if you want to be warm while eating your food! The staff is very friendly and they always greet you and thank you. Very polite. The food comes in good portions and their prices are decent. The food is VERY good. I would suggest the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki or the Beef Short Ribs. The Miso Soup is also very good. Because of the service and the quality of their food, I still go there, even though the prices went up a little bit. The cost is still pretty reasonable, considering how great the food is and the portions that they come in. read more

The best teriyaki in Bothell-- the char that they put on their chicken is outstanding and the servings are generous. I've never been disappointed by the boneless chicken here and this little restaurant is one of my favorite places in Bothell. The teriyaki isn't one of the cookie cutter teriyakis you'll find in most places and the service is decently friendly. read more

This place has the best teriyaki I've eaten on the Eastside, they have huge portions it's great to support a small family owned business.

Portion sizes are large, and a good value. The rice is always perfectly cooked, the dishes come out of the kitchen fast, and hot but not too hot. I have found in my visits that the meat quality is better than your typical teriyaki shack. They make an effort to keep the place cheerful and clean, with current menu signs and magazines to read, so if you feel like a yummy meal while you catch up on your periodicals, it's a fun place to hang out. While not fine dining, they are quite good for this type of establishment. I would give five stars if the service were a bit more consistent. Sometimes they are full of sweet and gentle surprises, such as coming out with a smile and a fresh orange for dessert if you eat in, or giving an unexpected sample of something (I like their cucumber creations), but other times they are simply just efficient and adequate at handling customer transactions but aren't all that interactive. I think it depends on who is there, how busy they are (or were, earlier in their day), and whether they are overstocked in something they can afford to share. read more

The General Tso's is garbage. Severely overcooked chicken (if you want to call it that)...it was mostly just tiny pieces of mummified meat encased in a thick layer of batter, which was then hardened into a tiny little chicken sarcophagus. The sauce was as sweet as a freaking jolly rancher and about as sticky, too. When I lifted my fork, there were hard strands of sauce hardening and forming into little ribbons. So they obviously add a TON of sugar and then they cook it so long it practically turns into candy. So if you are in the mood for rock hard Mummy candy for this Halloween season, then go for it. Otherwise, stay away from the Tso's. read more

I came here twice within the last couple weeks. My first visit was quite disappointing. After hearing a lot of praise on yelp about this place, perhaps I was expecting too much. The lady who took my order was extremely disinterested or perhaps depressed... Maybe she was having a bad day? Either way I found the service to lack a smile, minus one star. I had ordered the teriyaki chicken lunch special with gyoza. The gyoza were excellent, as was the cucumber salad it was served with. Unfortunately there was far too much rice and not enough chicken... And the chicken itself was average at best. I came to the conclusion that this place is fairly Average in terms of teriyaki places, especially when there are so many others nearby. The majority of my problem was the service the first time, so I decided to give the server the benefit of the doubt and try again. A few days later I returned and ordered the same thing... The time the server was at least somewhat pleasant although still not as much as is expected in the food service industry. On second impression the food was the exact same... Love the salad and gyoza, but not the chicken. If you are in the Kirkland area I would skip this place and go a little bit down the road to I Luv Teriyaki... They have never let me down. read more

After the previous review by Jim G. regarding everyone here not wearing masks I called them as we've been eating here for years. I asked if this was true and they said that they were wearing masks. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and placed an order. When we went in to grab our order the tables were all stacked to one side so nobody could sit inside, everybody working there was wearing a mask and gloves, they had sanitizer for the card scanner and signature tablet, and it appeared to me that they were doing their part to encourage social distancing. They may have decided they didn't want to lose customers over this issue and decided to conform. Unfortunately, the jerk customer in front of me decided he didn't need gloves or mask so i waited outside til he was done before entering. Probably better that way. read more

They just changed ownership, March 2008. I have loved this place for YEARS and now it totally sucks. Gone forever is the "home made" teriyaki sauce that they had me addicted to, replaced with the bitter syrup out of a jar. The chicken breaast is "dark and precooked", not white and fresh off the grill. The owner gave me his sauce recipe about 14 years ago... I guess that's all I have left of the original Teriyaki Plus. When I gave the new place a try, I was the only person in the place (unlike before). They can't possibly survive. read more

May 19 update: They wear masks now. We were a tad worried after reading an earlier review saying they're not wearing masks, but they are now. The place was pretty empty when I picked up with no queue in the restaurant. Their website sucks but they do have the full menu available. It's been a while since we've had them so I don't recall if it's always been this good or if they're extra good now. We got spicy garlic chicken with egg roll, and chicken katsu and beef teriyaki combo, and EVERYTHING was great! What a pleasant surprise. Definitely adding this to my quarantine line-up. read more

This place is amazing! We got the teriyaki beef and gyoza. Teriyaki beef was nicely charred and the sauce was delicious. The gyoza was crispy and flavorful. Price was very fair for the amount of food. Would love to go here regularly if I lived in the area. read more

I would only recommend one thing - the Chicken Bowl It is a little less than 6 bucks with a mixture of vegetable stir-fries and Teriyaki Chicken putting altogether you probably get more food than you normally get for a typical 7.99 Teriyaki entree elsewhere the salad-ish sauce that comes as a side item is always refreshing definitely more than satisfactory for a 6 dollars dinner the rest are rather typical to mention, I particularly dislike their cucumber salad and gyoza tho read more

The WORST service I have ever received. They refused to give me a credit back to my credit card after finding a nail that looked like it came off of a cat or some other animal mixed in the rice. I am disgusted and just finished filing a report with food and health safety. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN! Absolutely disgusting. read more

They give you their teriyaki chicken(a lot) on a bed of rice plus an extra scoop of rice. It comes with vinegar cucumbers. You have to ask for their garlic sauce which is amazing. They get 5 stars because their food is really good, big portions, they have great customer service, and they never charge me for all the extra sauces I like to get read more

Pros: Great Teriyaki. Based on comparing other Teriyaki joints in the entire Seattle area. Their teriyaki is cooked to near perfection with presence of grilled marks and some acceptable charred bits. Unlike some places where there is just so many burnt meat. As far as serving the chicken, they didn't pour teriyaki sauce and us to pour or dip. Plenty of meat and rice - depending if you are a heavy eater. I am not a light eater, but still managed to have plenty of leftovers. Cons: For some might be slightly pricey, but it's well worth the extra cost because the portions the given is worth it. Some may not like the side which tastes like pickled chopped cucumbers, but may also may find the taste to be too strong with vinegar. read more

I've been going to Teriyaki Plus for a few years now and I think it will always be my favorite place for teriyaki. Food quality is good and nothing is ever bland. The employees are friendly and always working efficiently. They have a decently large menu for teriyaki and I've never had a disappointing meal. My personal favorites are the broccoli beef and garlic spicy chicken. read more

This place is really top notch teriyaki, the best in Kirkland. Really big portions but really good quality of food, much better than most. They have a delish cucumber salad which is super refreshing and a really tasty garlic mayo. Combine that garlic sauce with the chili sauce and you are in for a treat. For me, this is the best teriyaki restaurant around. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, the location is clean and the owners are polite and friendly. I love the spicy chicken teriyaki. And it's great that you can order brown rice. The cucumber salad they serve with it is fresh and tasty. Much better than the usual handful of lettuce drenched in salad dressing. I just order the same every time, but my wife has tried several different things on the menu. And so far, we've never been disappointed. Plus you can pay with Apple Pay which is nice. read more

I just called this restaurant and a lady picked up. The time that they close clearly says 9:00pm. The lady told me they close at 8:30pm with a rude tune. I called at 8:32. Then I remind her what the yelp app says and she cut me off saying 8:30pm. She proceeds to hang up the phone. This is bad customer service and representation of how a restaurant should go about things. They will no longer be getting my money. read more

Teriyaki joints are a dime a dozen around here but I must say, this is my favorite!! Close to work, fast and friendly service, you can call in your order which is convenient. I usually order half katsu, half chicken, and sub fried rice. Their cucumber salad is great :] read more
