This place is excellent for its well known all you can eat Brazilian steakhouse fare. We have been a few times and between the buffet salad bar and endless grilled meats anyone will find something they love. However, the last time we went we had the absolute pleasure of being served by Rodrigo. This man elevated an already great experience to truly amazing. Attentive, positive, helpful, and fantastic at his job. I hope he is there for our next visit, so I can thank him again. Beautiful evening!

Visited Terra Gaucha for the first time yesterday and the food was amazing! We were off to a slow start because I was the only one at the table that ordered the chicken/seafood option and only red meats were coming to the table, but once I informed the server he got me exactly what I wanted! The grilled pineapple was such a nice touch I really enjoyed this and it was the first time having it at a Brazilian steakhouse. My favorite protein was the bacon wrapped chicken and sausage! The salad bar was a beautiful display and lots of tasty options there too! I let them know it was my birthday and not only did they give me free desert but they also took the time to provide me a $25 gift card to come back! I will most definitely be back to visit Terra gaucha! Restaurant is nice and open and all of the servers were extremely attentive. Thank you for an amazing birthday experience Terra Gaucha!

So, I think the main word to describe... Overrated. I've heard tons of positive reviews and praise for this restaurant. I'll get my good points out first... 1. It's a very lovely and nice looking restaurant. 2. The staff is superb. Tons of servers bringing food, water, appetizers. Everyone was friendly. 3. The food is good. The problem... The food is only just good. It's not great. Dinner price is $70. Of all the meats served only one meat my wife and I actually liked -- It was the capped sirloin. It is the house specialty... So, I guess they know it's the good one too. But, the filet was bad. The New York strip was bad. The pork was dry and horrible. The shrimp was overcooked. The lamb sirloin was OK. Another lamb dish was way too dry. The big buffet table that's supposed to tempt you to eat it as it is less expensive than the meats served... I can't really give you my opinion on as I mostly skipped it besides the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque is actually pretty good. So the take-home point: for almost $200 after tip you can go to just about any other fancy steak restaurant in town and get much better steak. Choose that option.

Closer to 3.5 stars ...I've been to several Brazilian steakhouses, and while Terra Gaucha a couple times . The last visit was a great dining experience, my visit tonight was disappointing. The selection of meats was impressive , they offered the usual favorites like picanha, ribeye, filet, lamb, pork ribs, bacon-wrapped chicken, sausage, lamb chops, shrimp, salmon, baked pineapple and many more . Unfortunately, nearly every cut tonight was overcooked and very tough. Most of the meat was dry and chewy to the point that my jaw actually hurts from trying to chew through it. For a place known for tender, juicy meats, this was really unexpected. The salad and hot bar were well-stocked and fresh, and the service staff was polite and attentive. However, at $62.95 per person, the value just didn't match the quality. It's also more expensive than their competitor across from International Mall, which I've found to be more consistent when it comes to properly cooked meats. The cheese bread which is normally my favorite as it's made fresh ...tasted stale and chewy. I barely tasted the gin in my lavender cocktail. Our server was polite but seemed pretty inexperienced .not bad, just not as smooth or attentive as I'd expect. Once we were done eating and the table had already been cleared, it still took about 15 minutes just to get our check, which felt unnecessarily long for a self serve dinner. Overall, I left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. For the price point, I expected much better execution from the kitchen. I'm hoping this was just an off night, because the potential is definitely there ...but at this level, the food should not be this overdone.

Absolutely amazing!! The ambience is great, the meat is top notch, and the buffet had almost everything! They come around with salmon and mango sauce, it was divine! They cared about what we wanted and asked questions to ensure we're satisfied. Mr favorites were the beef ribs and lamb. I had a great time with my wife! Definitely recommend 10/10

I have nothing, but positive things to say about Terra Gaucha. I had recently tried another Brazilian steakhouse and all I could think about is I can't wait to go back to Terra Gaucha. From the service of the men pushing in the chairs for the women, to the cinnamon pineapples and salad bar and of course we can't forget the meats! I love that they have a meat and seafood option. The parking is a small area, but I have never had trouble finding parking. They have the best lamb chops ever and I am never disappointed with the white rice and beans. Oh! Let me not forget the home made organic Arnold Palmer. I can go on and on about how great this place is, but we would be here for hours so for now please go and experience this yourself. It is pricey, but personally for special occasions it is worth it and if you got it like that once a month would be great as well!

Been to a few brazilian spots but this one takes the cake by far! They treat you with royalty cutting the food up right in front of you! The salad bar is excellent. Oh and they cut the cooked pineapple fresh in front of you so good! We had a big bday party here and they took care of us all and gave us 2 waiters and waitresses. Was a great time. Will be back soon

A phenomenal dining experience every time! Heaven for carnivores with a small army of servers walking around with skewers of perfectly seasoned and grilled meats -an amazing array of different cuts of beef, along with lamb, Brazilian sausages, chicken, etc BUT, you have to approach the evening strategically because of the huge appetizer bar with a tempting assortment of soups, cheeses, salads, and other undeniable delicacies amassed in such mouth watering splendor- that can divert your attention from the hovering skewers of meat and start filling you up and reducing your perfectly cooked meat enjoyment & capacity. So be forewarned! Outstanding cocktails and wine list along with attentive service with attention to details and what you need before you know you need it.

Solid spot for a business dinner. Service was prompt and professional from the start. Excellent selection of quality meats, steaks, and sausages, all well prepared and presented. The salad bar is fantastic and even the most picky customer will find stuff they like. Great selection of wines, knowledgeable staff, and overall smooth experience.

First time at this particular steakhouse. Have had other brands. Wow! The service and food quality here was outstanding. The salad/side bar was replenished and groomed every few minutes, the salad and side items were perfectly prepared and very high quality. The meat variety and quality were 5star. Every skewer was delicious and the meats were cooked so patrons could choose from a variety of doneness and temperatures. Everything was seasoned and we didn't require any condiments. Fantastic experience, we'll be back again and again. Note: on a busy Saturday night this joint was hopping, and very loud. Not a quiet romantic dinner but tons of groups which they accommodate wonderfully

This is definitely a four out of five star restaurant. Had to wait about 20 minutes after our reservation to be seated. Just looked like a lot of walk-in traffic at this location. However, they got everyone seated, and there was no lack of salad bar items or meats. The lamb chops and lamb sirloin were the absolute favorites of the night! Highly recommend and will definitely return in the future.

My wife took me to Terra Gaucha for my birthday on 11/20. We had a reservation, hostess was very nice and polite. Told us our table would be ready in 5-10 mins so we decided to wait at the bar and have a drink while we waited. Restaurant looked busy for a Thursday, but the wait was not bad. Gave us time to enjoy our drink and chat. Now we have been to many Brazilian steakhouses, this one was not my favorite. The salad/side bar was very underwhelming and not exciting at all, even though everything tasted fresh. The meat selection was not as good as I expected, they only had about 4-5 cuts going around. Wish they had a better selection of meat. We didn't know who our server was, we were being helped by 3 different servers, who helped us with drinks and the check. Overall, I had a good experience with my wife, but don't think the price is worth the experience. There are better Brazilian steakhouses with better selection for about the same price.

We ate dinner here for the first time today. I usually don't like these styles of steakhouses as it takes forever to get what you're looking for - but not here! They had the food coming nonstop and consistently were asking if there was something we were looking for, which is exactly what you want at a Brazilian Streak house. I asked for lamb, and not even a minute later I had what I asked for in the temperature I specified. We had every meat we wanted with minutes and we were so impressed. They are also detail oriented in other way. My purse was on the table, someone stopped by and asked if I wanted to move it to a chair, I said yes and he even covered it with a napkin to protect it. That's next level service! Every single staff member was so eager to help us so it felt like we had 10 waiters to ourselves. Not even Michelin star restaurants we've been to have this level of service. I wish I could remember every persons name but I know Brandon stoped a few times to make sure we had the meat, cuts and temperatures we wanted. We will definitely be back and appreciate the level of detail from every staff member!

Ask the Community - Terra Gaucha

    Is the casual wear dining?

We went in jeans and nice shirts and were fine. So, I'd say yes!

    Are reservations needed?

Not required, but I would get there early on the weekend.

Besides the price, what's the difference between lunch and dinner?

Limited meats. But for the most part it's the same. You still get the house special.

Do they have kid pricing (for a 9 year old)?

Yes! I believe it's half price of the adult pricing.

Are there servers at buffet station serving guests? Or is it a self serve buffet? I worry about a self serve buffet during the current pandemic? Lots of hands and people near food can't be too safe...

It is a self serve buffet, but they do a very good job keeping it clean/sanitary. They have sanitizer stations on both sides of the buffet and you have to keep you mask on if you are standing up/walking around.

Do you have any special for birthday customers? Thanks

    Anything Gluten Free?

Yes there salad bar has lots of gluten free choices and all the meats are gluten free. Amazing place. Try the place for lunch magnificent food great value of all the places you can go in Tampa. The service and the people who own and run it AR second…

    Do they have halal meat?

Does this restaurant sing to you on your birthday?

No, they do not sing to you(I asked that question to them too:-)) They bring you a dessert of your choice. If you are full, you can take it home. If you are having dinner, they also give you a voucher for future dinner, but they don't do that at…

How much is it per person?

For dinner the full service was $50. Per person it is very high quality meat. I easily ate what would be $200.00 worth at another restaurant. The two filet mignon I ate would have alone been worth the fifty, but I ate much more. I don't know how…

We started with the Million Dollar Deviled Eggs, topped with crispy oysters, bacon jam and caviar. They were creative and packed with flavor. The caviar came through a little stronger than we would have preferred, but everything worked surprisingly well together. Bill put them around 3.5-4 out of 5, while Deb gave them a 3. The wine was one of the best parts of the meal. I had the Ken Wright Cellars Pinot Noir and loved it--fruity with a peppery edge in a really good way. Easy 4.5/5. Deb went with the Drylands Sauvignon Blanc and gave it a solid 4/5. Both wines paired nicely with the deviled eggs. For lunch, we tried the blackened grouper sandwich. The fish and smoky Old Bay rémoulade were very flavorful, and the sandwich itself earned a 4/5 for taste. The problem was the $34 price tag. It simply felt too small for that price, so we'd put the value closer to a 3. Dessert turned things around again. The mango sorbetto was cold, bright and refreshing, and the accompanying sugar cookies added a surprisingly nice contrast. At $7, it felt like a much better value. 4/5. Overall, Oak & Ola delivered some very good flavors and an excellent wine experience. We'd return, but we'd probably be a little more selective about the higher-priced entrées.

We arrived for our reservation and were seated promptly. Walking in, there were plenty of open tables. Maybe that should have been our first warning sign. Our server was friendly, but the tableside manner didn't match other comparable modern American steakhouses in the Tampa Bay/St. Pete area. My wife and I started with the French onion soup; our son had the Key Lime Caesar. The soup portion was smaller than usual, with a significant taper toward the bottom of the cup, but the flavor more than made up for it. A strong start! The Caesar was crisp and cold, and our son devoured it in minutes. Another win; however, this was short lived. Now for the bad. My wife and I both ordered the filet; I added the truffle butter enhancement. Unfortunately, my steak was ridiculously overcooked, and the truffle butter was the only thing that salvaged the flavor. Our son's 18oz Delmonico fared no better -- his verdict: "it's ok." For sides, we ordered baked potatoes and broccolini. Hard to screw up a baked potato, so no complaints there. The broccolini, however, was dry and flavorless. I should have sent it back and asked for a substitute. As a side note, we were also served creamed corn, which we hadn't officially ordered. We'd discussed it while placing our order but ultimately decided against it. We figured our server misheard and put it in anyway. Ironically, the dish we didn't order was the best one on the table, if a bit drowning in cheese. Shortly after, an order of mushrooms arrived, which we also hadn't ordered. That's when it clicked: the creamed corn was meant for another table, and we'd been served someone else's food. We debated skipping dessert but figured we might as well get the full experience. We ordered the gelato; my wife wanted it served as an affogato. When she asked, she was met with a blank look from our server. At this price point, the server should know what an affogato is. So we ordered an espresso separately and made the affogato ourselves. Honestly, I'm not convinced what we got was gelato and not just plain ice cream -- it was freezer-burnt. Final damage for the evening: over $500 with gratuity. Absolutely ridiculous for the quality of food and service we received. To close things out, our server seemed eager to rush us off, asking if we were done with the check and whisking it away almost immediately. At least let us sit and bask in the $500 worth of regret. Bottom line: if you want a genuine modern American steakhouse experience, there are significantly better options in Tampa/St. Pete...especially at a $500 price point.

Later, after mentioning how much we loved the music, Kingston came over, found out we were in town for the J. Cole concert, and played J. Cole throughout the rest of the evening. It was such a thoughtful, personal touch that made the night even more memorable. To top it off, the restaurant brought us additional complimentary bites as another apology for the initial wait, even though we already felt they had gone above and beyond. The food was phenomenal. Every dish was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Two people in our group have spent significant time in Italy, and both said it was the best Italian food they've had anywhere in America. We finished the evening with espresso, stayed until closing, and never once felt rushed. In fact, we were told they would happily stay all night if we wanted to keep enjoying ourselves. Thank you to Elijah, Sophie, Mason, Kingston, and everyone at Rocca for creating such an unforgettable evening. If I'm ever within two hours of Tampa again, I'll be coming back. God bless you all.

Not usually a fan of tomatoes but this caprese was fantastic. Agnolotti was delicious, a little spice from the sausage but well balanced with the sauce. Sphaghetti al limone was my favorite bite of the whole meal. Generous portions of crab meat with a buttery, tart kick of lemon sauce was incredible. Service was excellent as expected from a place with this reputation and pricing. Our server was very attentive and made appropriate recommendations throughout. Ambiance was dark and intimate. An upscale atmosphere without being overly stuffy. A must try for a nicer night out, we went for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience. Would definitely come back here again!

The steak tartare was exquisite but I will say if you order a steak you do not need apps since it does come with steak, potato, salad, French onion soup, veggie, and onion straws. Good bang for your buck! You will spend a lot but it is more than worth it. The kitchen and wine tour just gives you an idea of the production of this magical place. The history and authenticity is just amazing.

I suggest you do not sleep on the escargot. It was perfect and the gazpacho style soup was wayyyy better than their,in my opinion, burnt French onion soup. (We came at the end of the night, so chalk that up to being literally one of the last guests). Wine list was INSANE and the cellar tour was one of the highlights of my year it was amazing to see so many old and relived bottles and some of the rarest in the world. This experience alone is why I give it 5 stars. I don't think my waygu filet was waygu- no marbling and it was not buttery at all we actually boxed it up immediately because it was not cooked med rare, but we were sharing a plate so, whatever. Kitchens seem to hate when people share but I have a special need and cannot eat large portions like that so, it was not us being cheap. We wanted to go to the dessert room, and so I wanted to save my last few bites for that. Food was basic in my opinion- but it was a grand experience and the server and very attentive and kind It was strange but they add 13% (didn't seem enough in my experience) to the bill, we added more, but didn't understand the feez?? I want to always leave a good tip but I didn't know if it was a "service fee" or if it was for the server it was not fully explained. (Hope he got the full tip.) Upstairs was the dessert room, the nostalgia of this was heavenly. A phone on the wall you can call the pianist and request a song. It was amazing. The flourless chocolate sundae---- OMG so good. The tiny but tasty brandy Alexander for the price it should have been much creamier and more than 2oz of whatever it was it didn't have all of the ingredients in it as described, but hey I still give this place 5 stars because it is kinda like a brothel meets the haunted mansion meets/ your grandmas house. So it was definitely unique and worth the over 400$ bill I just wish they would explain what their "service fee is" and when you order waygu- don't send out a regular filet to a person, who is a chef. It's insulting and really not what a company should do. Again, we were the last guests of the night we booked late on purpose, and start to finish this place was fascinating. The truffled tar tar was also very good. We had apps, wine, drinks dessert, steaks, salads, soups our waitstaff made up for the kitchens error on the cut of meat and we still at it next day. Fascinating is the word I think of for this Tampa favorite. I will go back but skip the meal and have appetizers, wine, and dessert. Hope they don't mind that.

We were a group of 10 and our server was excellent! The whole staff really! We sat outside and enjoyed our food+ mimosas. There was a tv out there so i know if i ever go with my husband he can watch his games (gooooo sports) while i indulge in my mimosas. I'd been studying the menu ever since my friend told me we were going. I ended up going with the avocado tartine and added smoked salmon. It was delicious and went well with a day of heavy drinking!! We also ordered the grazing board for the table which was amazing. I loved the assortment of cheeses and snacks. The butter on the board was bussinnnnn! I was in heaven!! I should mention the bottomless mimosas were $25 and the bottles literally just keep coming! Safe to say we were all feeling nice and toasty by the time we left. We hung out for a while without even getting kicked out I'd love to visit again and try more menu items. The server mentioned the cubano is the best Cuban you'll have. Now I'm always a bit skeptical bc everyone says that lol but the cubano came out looking gooooodT! I didn't try it but my friend who ordered it loved it! Parking was easy and right outside. We parked and checked in pretty quickly with ease. Thanks for the awesome service and experience! I definitely recommend adding district south kitchen & craft to your list of boozy brunch spots!

We were seated at a super small table so it made for an uncomfortable situation with so little real estate available. Also the place looks like it's converted from a garage or something with metal walls and roll up doors that made the sound bounce around. The service was nice. We were well taken care of but they seemed to be spread thin because getting refills and getting our check took a bit longer than expected. One ssue was that the menu was very different from what was online via Google. I should have gone to their website I guess, but several items were not available and the filet I was so excited for had a very different set of items. No Brie au gratin potatoes or braised rainbow chard, citrus gremolata and a fig chutney. Now, let me say that my filet was delicious. I loved the sauce and the asparagus was good but for me, the potatoes were super underwhelming. A nice sauce or something would have made them better. They just tasted bland, were really dry and lacked any flavor. My wife expected the lamb or pork chops, they were both not on the menu. She got fish and chips which she really enjoyed, so it was a win. The Asian wings were our appetizer and were delightful too. Now the only real negative for us was the noise. We got there at 5:30 and it was fine. But as more people came in, the sound bounced around so bad that it became almost unbearable for me. I wanted to go so bad because people laughing and talking made my head hurt. Would I go back? Probably not. I didn't enjoy how loud it was. The food was very good though, so perhaps takeout would be more my speed. We had a nice meal and my leftovers were delicious later that evening.

No option to customize the flavors, so you're kind of stuck with whatever comes with it, even if you don't like the flavors. The mussels appetizer was good. My friend ordered the Kale Caesar salad...but it came out with spinach instead, which was a little odd. We both got the short rib for our entree and honestly... neither of us liked it. The flavor was lacking The service was great. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Pricing fits for the type of restaurant, but based on the overall experience, it didn't feel worth the high bill this time around.

The atmosphere was super festive and we were looking forward to our evening. The bartender was friendly and took our drink order. We waited an extremely long time and his excuse was he had to climb up to get a bottle of Grey Goose. After waiting so long he still forgot the one drink which we thought was what took so long, an old fashioned. The two other customers got an additional drink while we were waiting. We were 15 minutes late for our reservation, which didn't matter because there were only 2 tables of patrons. Our server in training came by and dropped off paper Christmas menus and brought us water. Then we waited and waited and finally our sever arrived. We asked for the menu and she said the only thing they had was this special Christmas menu, which was basically all appetizers. This is NOT what we planned when making reservations weeks ago. So disappointing! We ended up leaving and having dinner elsewhere.
