We went there for our 51st anniversary dinner. When being seated they asked if it was our first time, and we said YES. Wife had the prime rib, I had a N Y Steak, and both were cooked just right and delicious. During the meal they brought samples of their baby back ribs, (and their fries) and WOW.. the ribs were the best I've ever had... and will certainly order them on the next visit. We event on a Thursday night, not crowded at all. The waiter was awesome. The food was subpar at best. Not what I'm used to when I go here. Maybe it was because they couldn't see either. It was dark in there!! Apparently they can't afford lightbulbs because our table, like most of tables were dark. There were only about 4 working lightbulbs over the tables and the manager said he/she couldn't do anything about it. Eff this place and the waitress and the manager. They're trash. They're attitudes were trash. And the server was horrible. They were rude upon a complaint. I had to repeat myself three times because she couldn't comprehend. The server Brianna was also told multiple times of my complaint and offered nothing not even an apology. The food was ok, my steak was ordered medium rare but was well done. Steak fries were too salty. The worst part was the service. We tried to get our water refilled and to order a second beer but the waitress did not show up again until we requested our tab. The server brought the food from a wrong table to ours, oops. Ordered the $23 filet mignon . I ordered it without sides and my waitress had a big problem with that. I was breaking my 72 hour fast. 35 minutes later I still didn't have my steak. I checked the grill and it wasn't on it either so I left. I called the manager. The manager could have made it right but she is a complete moron. These idiots should be avoided at all costs. Our server's name was Stephen. He was awesome. Very polite and genuine. The 52 hostesses up front were all happy and quickly sat us. Wearing a mask is stupid- but worth wearing to be here. We decided we were going to take-out from various restaurants a few times during week due to the Covid 19 restrictions. Thought it would be a way to support the businesses. Ordered from Texas road house last night have to say it was excellent. I had chicken sandwich with grilled mushrooms and my husband had the chicken fry, mom had boneless wings they were all delicious. I would encourage those that are able to try it out. We went here for dinner tonight! My daughter and I ordered our stakes medium, they came out well done(no biggie I like a well done steak), our waitress Lauren, walked to our table, she said "I noticed the steaks are way over cooked, can I take them back for you" I replied that it wasn't a big deal and I wasn't going to complain about it. She took our steaks back to the kitchen and got them cooked correctly, the manager on duty came to talk to us to make sure everything was okay. This is a good steak place to dine in. HOWEVER if you're getting food to go be prepared to have to warm up your food. My order today came to me almost completely cold. According to the Texas Roadhouse employee, I was "8 minutes" early for my order. She said I'd have to wait. 2 to go customers came and went while I waited. When I went back in again 2 minutes early my food was ready. Hmm could it have maybe been ready the first time I arrived??? Then it might have at least been warm. The whole reason to get take out is so I didn't have to cook. I ended up warming up my steak and my baked potato in the oven. So much for not dirtying dishes/cooking. We're from Texas and we rarely get to go back and visit the state, so it's always fun to come down to the roadhouse! We also live way up in Gunnison, so coming down almost 3 hours to have dinner at such a fun steakhouse is always a great time. The food is excellent, the wine is good and the rolls are to die for... Through the teeming throng of hungry 'Mairkins, silverware and bread rolls in hand, our hostess questions us: "Have you eaten here before? How was your last visit?" We assure her that it was great, so that her manager - a look-alike for Smilin' Bob from the Enzyte commercials with the forced enthusiasm of a motivational speaker and the headset to match - doesn't come pester us at our table. I have to give pause for a moment about the ethical implications of employers that force all their employees to wear T-shirts that state "I LOVE MY JOB!". Since when did debasing and humiliating service-workers become the norm? First it was Hooters, then Chick-Fil-A and now the Roadhouse. There is a Kafkaesque element at work here, because obviously if they choose to refrain from wearing the coerced "I LOVE MY JOB" uniform, it infers they "don't love their job". Seriously, how many people LOVE their job 365 days a year, let alone when they are forced to emblazon it on their uniform? The steaks and BBQ come out perfectly, but most of the sides are a bit cafeteria-worthy. Baked beans are sweet & often underdone. Green beans are overcooked & greasy. Mashed potatoes & gravy tastes instant. They do serve baked sweet potatoes, but make sure to ask them to put the margarine or whatever it is on the side if you care about such things. Their meat entrees are fairly priced and cooked perfectly. Definitely worth considering if you are craving prime rib. The only entree I have disliked was the "Roadkill" - a wad of hamburger described as "chopped steak" with mushrooms & onions in a pool of grease. I stopped in here after driving all day. I just wanted to go somewhere that has good food. All the Texas Roadhouse I've been at are great. So I didn't feel like I was rolling the dice coming here. I love their rolls and cinnamon butter. The cactus blossom is a must if you come here. The house salad with bleu cheese was great. All this was good to keep me tied over until my loaded bake potato & 12 ounce rib eye got there. Which both were wonderful. The service was fast & friendly. So she got her 20% tip. read more

Some holidays, they are open for lunch. The prices are really fair compare to most establishments. The best part is, they give you "FREE" hot and fresh rolls, served with cinnamon butter or whipped butter (upon request). These rolls are all you can eat too! I could just visit this place and fill up on the free rolls! I absolutely love the rib eye steak. I have yet to try their prime rib, because they usually sell out of the medium within the first hour! They say they take 4 hours to prepare...so you can imagine how fast they go. I got their pull pork sandwich once and really did not care for it at all...stay away from that. Great kids menu too. If you or anyone on your party has a peanut allergy, this is a tough place to eat at. There are peanuts and shells everywhere. Great service from the front door, to the table, and end of meal. These servers have a lot of fun and are really attentive to their patron's needs. Although this place was busy, we we're seated quickly. I had the Ribeye. It was delicious. Finally, somebody understands the difference between rare, medium, and well-done. We had 3 steaks between us and all of them cooked to perfection. How often does that happen? Our server was very nice, "Danielle" was on it. If we needed anything, she was there. Well unfortunately Im writing this review. Texas Roadhouse is my favorite restaurant. But went there today for fathers day, had a reservation for 5pm, we arrived at 4:45 and finally demanded a table at 5:45. Ordered my steak medium, it came out well done. Ordered a loaded baked potato, low and behold guess what when my food came out I was informed they are out of baked potatoes.. Sad to say but this is the worst experience I have ever had at this Texas Roadhouse. I'm really second guessing as to whether I will be back. I understand thing are tough right now but Fathers Day and only half the tables.......come on get it together!!!! read more
