I come here regularly as my go to spot for lunch or dinner. There's just something about this place that makes me feel at home. Theyre not ever overly busy and I've never had to wait. The service is great and wait staff are really nice even though they don't speak English well but they are attentive. Their dishes are all yummy from the curry to the noodle dishes. My favorite dish is the pa kee Mao which is not on the menu but I always order it with added tomatoes. The rice noodles are cooked well. They don't stick together or overly cooked. We decided to try this place out as it was recommended by locals and also pretty convenient. Glad to find it was not that busy tonight. We started off with a beautiful looking thai coffee. It was so rich and sweet. Then I got the spicy salmon fried rice. The rice was pretty tasty and the spicy level was a slight kick to the taste bud, but not too spicy where I had to drink tons of water. The salmon was kind of dry, but at least it was crispy on the outside. Hank got pork green curry and it was sweet and creamy. read more

My favorite Thai restaurant in ATL. I love the masaman tofu and am loyal to that dish. I craved it through both pregnancies! My now teenagers love this place now, too. It has been a long time since I had been to Thai Chili for no other reason than I preferred a different Thai restaurant. But as the preferred restaurant changed chefs, it was time to find a new restaurant so I visited Thai Chili again. My take-out order for my family included Thai Egg Rolls, Basil Rolls, Pad See Ew Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. All of the food was very fresh and flavorful. My sons enjoyed the egg rolls and the Pad See Ew and my wife and I enjoyed the basil rolls and fried rice. The portions were a little smaller than we were used to from our regular restaurant - and that was not a bad thing, but if my sons (9 & 11) had not spent all day eating at a birthday party, we probably would not have had enough food. The prices were reasonable, but note the portion sizes are good, but relatively small compared to what most restaurants serve you these days. We will certainly return. read more

Great for business lunch meetings, this place is not too over the top, very clean cut. The decoration is average, i think they're trying too hard. The food, is good, honest to goodness Thai cuisine. This place is... ok. It's good - but not great. The food is average - it's not altered to cater to the American pallet, but it's also not the most authentic Thai I've ever had. The portions are good - but the prices are a little higher than other (better quality) Thai restaurants that I've been to. It's a quaint little restaurant, quiet and secluded - nice for a date. Except if they practically seat you in the lap of another table. They like to sit people right next to each other, and there is very little room between tables. That leaves very little privacy or intimacy for conversations. That bugs me a lot. I've been there a hand-full of times and have never seen it jam-packed full of people, so I wonder if it ever is - and then, doesn't that say something about them if they are not? Methinks it does. Today I ordered the Spicy Basil Leaves with shrimp via DoorDash. The food came quick and on time. If you have ordered takeout from here you know they staple the bags shut. So I know my issue had to have originated from their kitchen. Anyway I get my food and my first complaint is that the container that had the spicy basil leaves sauce was sparse. I was a little annoyed because I've ordered takeout from here before and it was too much food. Anyway I was really hungry so I'm scarfing down my food. That's when I thought I saw something in the sauce. I examined this something really close and it looked kind of like a little tiny roach but I didn't see legs or antenna so I just picked whatever it was out of my food and started to eat more slowly because at this point I was paranoid. That's when I saw an ant and then another one and then another one. Yes, Thai Chili is really serving people food with dead ants as garnishment . It's really disgusting to know this restaurant has insects and other vermin in their kitchen which in turn are making their way into our food. I called DoorDash immediately for a FULL refund and I will never order from Thai Chili again. read more

So, my friend and I ended up here by mistake. She meant to tell me to go to Top Spice, but somehow got confused and told me Thai Chili instead. There's nothing bad about this place, it's just that I love thai food, I've been to so many thai places in Atlanta, and this one is OK, but there's really nothing exceptional about it. Their drinks list kinda sucks. I got a glass of plum wine - plum wine is plum wine is plum wine - so it was good, but I really wanted a drink and neither of the 2 they had sounded good to me. They had some tofu/vegetarian dishes, which is of course my main concern. My curry was good, but again, it was nothing exceptional. My friend pointed out whenever she came in the place doesn't smell like food - it smelled like incense. I don't know, I do personally find that odd - I'd rather smell the delicious food than incense. I wish I had more to say, but there was really nothing about this place that sticks out. The service was actually good, but that's not going to be the clincher to get me to come back (although ironically it could very well be a reason for me to not come back). I've been a patron of Thai Chili for years. I've typically been for lunch, but have gone for dinner a couple times. The $8.25 lunch specials with your choice of soup or salad are reasonable and comparable to that of nearby Top Spice (my personal fave). Its good, but its just not as good as I really want it to be and its not as good as Top Spice. I'm admittedly on the search for the best Thai in Atlanta (specifically drunken noodles, which I used to get at this hole-in-the-wall place off the I-85 Clairmont exit, before it turned into an Ethiopian restaurant). I wouldn't know how the food is here. I never got it. Placed an online delivery order through YELP at 8:30. At 8:50, I was called and told my order wouldn't be here at the time expected (40mins). Instead? I was told it would be an hour and a half. I asked that the $2.02 "convenience fee by waived. Also to waive the $4.99 delivery charge. But at least I'd have my food by 10:00pm. 9:20pm. Delivery calls me again. Apparently the restaurant hasn't been able to make Pad Thai for the past hour. Apparently, Pad Thai is such an extremely complicated dish that Thai Chili won't even be able to make my Pad Thai for another hour. Then the delivery company would take 1.5 hours after that to bring me the food. I won't be ordering from this restaurant again. I won't be using this BS delivery feature on YELP either. It's 9:29. Really good! A bit pricey. I visited Thai Chili a few weeks back. It's located around the Emory area and offer's some of the best Thai food in town. The upon entering the restaurant you are immersed in traditional Thai decor which gives you a peaceful tranquility feeling. The tables and chairs are comfortable and stabilized by solid wood. We started with the coconut chicken soup with chicken. It was delicious as it had a combination coconut flavor, with some lemon and spice. I only wished it came in a larger bowl as it was very good. For my main dish I had the Spicy Fried Rice with Veggies and Chicken. This was another tasty dish. The rice was cooked to perfection, the spice wasn't too overwhelming, the vegetables were cooked correctly and were fresh as was the chicken. This was one fantastic meal and something you should consider if you visit this eatery. The service was efficient and prompt. The prices are a little steep compared to some of the other Thai spots of the same quality. read more

The noodles were ok, albeit a little dry, but the chicken was chewy with way too much gristle. I also ordered a coke which they forgot so I ended up with a $5.50 hotel mini fridge soda to extinguish the fire that the 'medium' (lowest heat option she gave me and I typically order a 3 on a 1-5 scale) started in my mouth. So basically, after their $2.50 for forgotten coke I paid $8 for a single can of soda, Also, I cut my hand to the point of slight bleeding from a stray staple in the bag. I'll take the blame for that one, just open with caution if you get delivery. Food was average and I would have given three stars if they hadn't forgotten my coke and take 75 mins instead of the quoted 40 for delivery. read more

I enjoy this place very much. I love Thai food, but I haven't been to many different Thai places around town, so I can't compare it to many. I like Top Spice, but it is pricey. Thai Chilli is always consistent. The service is excellent and the food never disappoints. It's fresh and well-prepared, with the right amount of heat. The namsod and the Spicy Veggie Chicken are my favorites (no, I'm not an adventurous eater). It's not cheap, but I don't think it's overpriced. Terrible service ... I ordered online and I was told it would be 10 minutes. The food took 45 minutes, serving sizes were extremely small and after I saw the serving sizes I asked for a refund. The employees told me 2 more minutes 5 times ... during my excessive wait 1 person left that was dining in and another person waited 15 minutes for ice cream There are so many options for great Thai ... My husband and I ate there last night to satisfy a craving for Thai food. We had not been to Thai Chili in 3 years, possibly. Sadly, it has really gone downhill. We ordered the scallops in curry and ginger beef. The scallops and vegetables in the dish were likely steamed, arranged on the plate, then the curry sauce poured over the top. It was not spicy at all despite have a 1 chili beside it on the menu. The ginger beef was even more dismal: ordinarily what I most enjoy about Thai food is the light, broth-based sauce. This was beef in a thick, brown gravy -- absolutely thickened with corn starch or something. The beef was tough and not flavorful. I don't know what has happened to this restaurant, but our meal was truly disappointing. read more
