I will be going back to dine in as I feel the experience will be better and my review will change. But meanwhile I will speak of our pick up experience and first time trying Thai Hut. It was a late Sunday afternoon and we decided to use DoorDash (big mistake) for some Thai. This was the closest restaurant and have always wanted to give it a shot. The delivery fee was a bit high for us so we decided to order for pick up. Next time I will just call the restaurant and place my order, I don't know what I was thinking! Order confirmed, pick up in 30 min. When my husband picks up, the order had not even gone through. He waited until they received it electronically and got it ready. When he got back it was the wrong order. We called and they staff was very apologetic. They asked that we return the order and get the correct one. Again, when my husband returned, they were very apologetic and gave us a free Thai tea for our trouble and some egg rolls. I don't know if Doordash it to blame, but I have never had a pleasant experience with them. So I will not blame the restaurant for that, and the mix up was a understandable mistake. As far as the food goes, it was OK. My daughter and I loved the egg rolls and the Thai tea was to die for, but my Pad See Ew was on the salty side, I had to eat it with white rice to combat the saltiness. The red curry was pleasant but not amazing. Maybe lack of spices? We will be eating in as I feel this will be fair to the restaurant, perhaps they were having an off day. We have been trying different Thai restaurants lately and our go to is always the Pad See Ew, Curry and the Tom Kha Gai soup. Unfortunately here the Pad See Ew and Soup were both unrecognizable and neither tasted like what we are used to getting at other places, in fact both were pretty much flavorless. The pad see ew noodles were also complete mush. I couldn't even eat it and had to throw it away. The only saving grace was the massaman chicken curry. It was really good. Unfortunately though, because of the other dishes, which are 2 of our favorites usually, we will not be trying this place again. $60 in the trash. read more

Absolutely the worst Thai food that I had. The Papaya salad was dry and tasteless, like the cook had forgot to add the sauce/dressing to it. I threw it all away. My Beef Pad Thai had lots of meat with gristles and little of the noodle. The sauce was also tasteless. Dude! The food is amazing and the owners/people who work there make it even better! They are a family who cares about each customer. I have been in love with the food, atmosphere, location and people since the opening week. But now, I am sitting here with a stomach ache, but still hungry. So I came to get rice. This Is our 5th time to order Togo and we have really liked the food in the past. Seems this past visit (Togo food) was less than fab. The soups Tom ka and green curry were lacking in ingredients or cilantro veggies etc. it was Very watery unlike last time. They asked our spice level which we said medium but got ZERO ZERO SPICE. Just watery. The soups had very tricky lemon grass which I love the flavor but it needed to be removed or made much bigger. Bite size led to a friend choking as it's not edible. She's ok but very scary. Spring rolls yummy but fell apart which is fine. We asked for sticky rice they said yes included. It was regular rice not sticky. Probably won't return. I love Thai food. I love it so much that I'm on a constant watch for new places to pop up. I guess that's why when yelp told me of a new Thai place around the corner from me, I knew I had to try it. My first attempt was unsuccessful. I think it was a Tuesday. I spent some time on the yelp app and decided to give it a try. It was closed... I gave them a mulligan and assumed as a new business they couldn't communicate they were closed. It sure was frustrating though! Tonight I wasn't able to get out, so I ordered from Thai Hut via the yelp app. The app was very easy to order through! I ordered 6 Thai Hut wings and Pad Kra Prao with steamed rice. It took the order around an hour to arrive, which is awesome compared to other delivery services. Here is where my experience went bad. The delivery driver wanted to relay the message that I got "really big wings, not the small ones". I didn't know what this meant. I paid him and went inside. They shorted my wing order! I would normally excuse this mistake, but they sent the driver with an excuse! That being said, the Pad Kra Prao was delicious. Portion size just right. The wing sauce was tasty, but they don't toss the wings at the restaurant. They send a cup of sauce and naked wings. They also didn't send soy sauce or flatware. This is the only place in the area that has shrimp pad woon sen and sticky rice with mango.. (trust me, I searched every Thai/Asian place I could) The dishes I ate are two of my personal favorite dishes! I have zero complaints on taste & service was very good! My waitress made a great recommendation for my kids, which is always helpful. I love this neighborhood restaurant and it will be one of my new favorites. Really bad first experience eating here. We waited for half hour, our food never came, not even the papaya salad we ordered. And there were other people who came after us, their food came first. When I asked them, looked like they lost our order. So we had to wait another 20 minutes. And when the food came, The pad gaprao was really salty, and they put too much fish sauce on the papaya salad. And we ordered pad gaprao with ground beef, it came with the sliced beef. And when I asked the lady about the ground beef, she said they use real beef, a good quality beef, and chopped it, and they don't use ground beef from walmart. And I was like... what the F?? After reading the amazing reviews I had to try this place out. I love a good chicken pad Thai. My husband and I ordered takeout and brought it home- only to realize my mild pad Thai was made as spicy. I could taste that it had good flavor but it was way to spicy for me, I couldn't eat more than a few bites and it just wasn't worth taking it back. I have a pretty sensitive tongue. I got Massaman Curry which is really good, it was missing the peanuts or I would have given 5 stars. It's perfectly cooked, not too hot, really, really good. The flavors were so good and they got the spice just right. (We both asked for four out of five.) But what really stood out was the meat. Most places use kind of pressed thin rubbery texture chicken. This place's chicken tasted like real chicken and it made such a difference! We will be coming back often...want to try all our other favorites and see how Thai Hut improves on them! I started coming to this restaurant regularly after moving to the area a few months back, and I don't think I have ever been disappointed or dissatisfied in any of their food or service. I generally go for one of their multiple curries, none of which failed to be delicious, or one of their salads, which were all also very flavorful. Their tom kha is also very good, I'll usually get a cup with a salad. So far I haven't had any issues with over cooked meat or anything of the like, and I have tried each of their protein options over time to be a good judge. The people are very nice, friendly, and accommodating. Overall a great little Thai restaurant for sure! read more

Went here on the recommendation of a friend and I was more than pleased with my experience. The service was friendly and let us know that if there was anything about the food we didn't like that we shouldn't hesitate to say so. Guess what, there was no problem at all with the food! My wife had the pad thai lunch with a crispy spring roll and I had the red curry lunch with beef and a crispy spring roll. Both dishes were so good that I'm contemplating eating there again within the week so I can try more of what they got. Good atmosphere as well to boot. We have been here now twice in the past month and we will be back. The first time we ordered Pad Thai and Green Curry, the kid's fried rice and Chicken Satay. Everything was delicious and the green curry was the best I've ever had. The second time we went it was just two of us and we had Panang curry on the lunch menu and also the vegetable tempura. I was really surprised At how yummy the tempura was, but both dishes were definitely winners. We also received choice of a spring roll or a fresh roll with our lunch entrees and we both opted for the fresh roll. They were great too. The owners are extremely nice and attentive. They pulled a bait and switch tactic on me after ordering from Uber Eats. I ordered beef & pineapple fried rice for 9.95. What I received was 1 cup of fried rice wrapped in a tinfoil seat and molded to look like a hot dog. There were plenty of pineapple slices, but only 4 pieces of quarter sized beef. I don't recommend this place and can't imagine how they stay in business by cutting corners and overcharging patrons for it. 2 thumbs down in addition to 1 star.
